Alex had popped out to get some things for Finn and also some food for them that was either easy to make or just a heat up kind of deal. He’d wanted him to stay either in bed or on the couch and just rest but the moment he walked in the door he’d noted the lack of Finn on the couch and then in bedroom. It’s what lead him to look around once he’d set the bags down on the kitchen counter.

“There you are,” he stated as he moved to take the mop and sigh at him. “Nothing needs to be done. Go lay down because you’re not doing yourself any favors right now and just let yourself rest instead of thinking you need to do all of this all the time.”

Alex wrapped his arms around his boyfriend and held him, not wanting to let got because in that moment he was just happy to be there with him. “I love you too,” he smiled as he looked at him and moved to place a kiss on Finn’s cheek. “I can honestly say the same about you, I don’t think I would find this again if we weren’t together or something happened but I’m hopeful neither of us has to find that out.”

Alex wasn’t sure any of this was a good idea. The cult, that’s what he called it, was terrifying and he’d been roped in my Liz. Part of him just wanted to say no and let the cult be themselves, he didn’t even know what their plan was but he was here because he couldn’t let Liz to it alone. He didn’t know if he trusted this Max guy and he sure as hell just wanted to get him and go. Walking towards a fence he sighed. “You better be coming out soon. I don’t want my dad to send the Air Force after me.”

“I know,” Alex replied softly as he watched Finn closely. He wasn’t the kind of person to admit that he needed help but in this situation he did. Finn was right, it WASN’T a scratch but there was no way that he was going to tell Finn the truth of what happened. He could make something up though, that would be the easiest thing to do, change something and give some truth but cover the parts he couldn’t risk with something more normal for the other. But he also didn’t know if he could that either, because he cared for Finn and he didn’t want to lie to him. “I can’t tell you everything, I can’t put you and others at risk but you’re right, I WAS grazed by a bullet but it’s better that it was me than who they were really aiming at.”

When Alex had woken and hadn’t been able to find Finn he had to check outside and make sure that the other was okay. Alex had finally found him on the roof and had had to do some maneuvering to get up on the roof but he’d managed and his only concern was for Finn even though he probably shouldn’t have done that with his leg. Settling next to Finn he moved to look up at sky and nodded at at his answer, not pressing but being there for his friend. “I’m okay. If I can climb down in the creepy bunker at the cabin when I was using my crutch more I can climb the roof,” he teased lightly.

“It’s not a lie,” Alex replied and sighed when Michael brought up Forest. “You’re with Maria so what does it matter to you if I’m seeing someone?” he countered, a bit too defensively for it to be just about the fact that Michael was talking about the guy he’d been seeing. “Wouldn’t know, haven’t brought him home and I’ve only went on two dates with him. Didn’t know I needed YOUR permission. But it also doesn’t change the face that I DO find you attractive. I can’t help that, Guerin.”

There was a lot going on and Alex worried about Mimi and what Liz, Kyle, and Michael were trying to do with Noah’s body. Alex was helping int he ways that he could and he had to deal with his father, Flint, and that situation but that wasn’t something he would speak to Michael, Maria, or Liz about. It wasn’t their problem and he could talk to Kyle, he had too because it involved Kyle. But again that was for another time for him to think about that and what the plan was.

As he made his way towards the door he didn’t expect anyone to follow him, he didn’t want to be followed but then Michael was standing in front of him and he had to stop short. Had he been uneasy and still learning how to control his leg he would have stumbled but he’d come a long way and all he did was take a step back so he wasn’t so close to the other. He didn’t know what he wanted, he was leaving because this was just awkward and Alex didn’t want to be where he didn’t really feel welcomed though being here in the first place was entirely his fault.

Alex was trying to keep to what he wanted for his friends, for them to be happy and find people who were good to them and made them happy. He could protect them from his father and whatever dangers would come for them because of him and then, when it was said and done he would get away from Roswell. That was his plan and for that to work he had to be okay with what was going on and to not react to Michael and Maria in a negative way, to be happy for them and to hope that Liz and the others would succeed with Max.

But it was the words and the tone that was being said to him that made Alex go back to all those times that his father would start something. It would be just like this and...he pushed that away, this was Michael and Michael wasn’t Jesse Manes. “I...” he started, not looking around when he felt like everyone’s eyes were on them. “I’m going home,” he replied, it was the truth. “I know, I’m leaving, this is your place, your’s and Maria’s and I’m going home.” He was trying to keep it together but his voice was soft, not like it was normally because he was fighting the urge to curl up and prepare for whatever was going to come his way. That was something he did with his father but this was Michael and he was in the Wild Pony he couldn’t just curl up into a ball. “I know and I’m happy for you.”
