hihi! i'm seren and i'm kind of dumb LMAO. i'm rly bad with intros! i've been rping for several years now, starting allll the way back on neopets and i've been in isola since the start of its creation back in 2018??? yeah. ummm my sleep schedule is fucked up and mostly everything is fucked up due too my work schedule so bear with me if i disappear for like a week. i'm a huge final fantasy fan, obv!! i play ffxiv a lot ( i love my catgirl... ) and that game and ffxvi basically changed the chemicals in my brain and now im even more unnormal. aside from that i've got other interests, mostly gaming but i like to write and draw! and sleep... i like making friends so feel free to follow me over at my twitter! it's mostly rts with occasional brainless posting from me but its the best way to get in touch with me!

no surprise here, but for clive's hue, his will be a crimson red - strong, defiant and avoidant. he's going to be a little more growly and annoyed with people, kind of like when he was at 28 years old! if you want to deal with a growly dog, like this for a starter! get him some other colours.

ITS FFXVI'S FIRST ANNIVERSARY and i finally finished my second playthrough after putting it off after the dlc released bc i knew i was gonna cry and i was right!! its also the very first game i've ever fully platinumed / completed trophies wise. to say this game means a lot to me would be underselling it. it's helped me through my own grief, my own anger, and reminded me to look for a brighter future and to lean on those around me. clive became a very special character to me, and i can't even begin to describe how much he means to me and what he means to me too. to many more celebrations for this game!!! ( AND PC RELEASE SOON PLS YOSHI-P 90% OF MY FRIENDS CANT PLAY THIS GAME YET BC THEYRE NOT LIKE ME AND BROUGHT A CONSOLE FOR ONE WHOLE GAME )

PERMANENT PLOTTER / RELATIONSHIP CALL

happy almost year to this game and this blog so i figured it's time to finally put up a permanent plotter up.

liking this post means you're a-okay with me sending memes on meme day or just hopping in your inbox for something random ( and vice versa! ). you're also cool with me jumping into dms to discuss plots and all, and also just throwing out random starters your way. you're also cool with me liking starter calls and replying to your minis without feeling like i'm being bothersome!

just a warning is most relationships discussed will prob be pre-established stuff if we haven't interacted before, mainly because i'm just a lil tired of writing new meetings!

below is kind of a list of relationship types i'm interested in!! not rly anything final ( fantasy ) but just kinda a general idea of what i might vibe with.

friends: pretty classic stuff, despite clive's overall demeanor he's a pretty friendly guy. he gets along with a lot of people with different backgrounds. he's not exactly the most fun person, but he's... trying? sort of? he just kind of doesn't know how to be a normal person after being dehumanized for so long. nevertheless he does make a good friend and being friends means he's willing to put his life on the line for you!! this can also include being sparring buddies with him bc he's usually training a lot to keep his skills sharp. but really he just needs people to hang out with and maybe they can teach him how to loosen up a little

enemies: he's learned to be mostly patient buuut he's got a short-fuse and can be hot-tempered at times. he just doesn't have a lot of time for bullshit and has no tolerance for it. anyone looking to harm innocent people tend to go on his shit list pretty fast, and anyone who wants to hurt his loved ones will have the worst time with him. he's ruthless :)

not really enemies but you've annoyed him: again, short-fuse sometimes and has little tolerance for bullshit. he won't have the want to kill you but expect sarcasm and the negative sims emote.

animal lovers: clive spent most of his time with his dog or his chocobo as a kid and has a better connection with them. he's the only one who can speak to moogles in his world. he's basically a disney princess. if u like animals then he'll get along with u and if u like torgal then he'll rly get along with u! please show him ur pets too he will pet every single dog ever.

knights / other duty bound folks: clive has an odd relationship with his status as first shield, mainly because he really only took the role on to protect his brother. still, he takes pride in it and puts his duty before a lot of things. it would be interesting for him to see what people see when they look at him, but also find some kinship with people like him!

religious themes: clive was unfortunately fated to be some corrupt god's vessel and he really hates it! he's not exactly a religious person at all and has an odd history and feelings with religion because of that. he's tolerant of course but it's easy to understand why he's not exactly a faithful man, so it would be interesting for him to bounce off of characters opposite of him!

big brother / father figure: clive's got big bro instincts so he's pretty protective over younger characters. he can be slightly awkward with them because a lot of the times they're very playful and he's just, not really, but he's definitely got that cool big bro / wisely father kind of vibe! he's got years of experience and could give sound advice. really he just wants to look after people.

wife guys: anyone else miss their wives / spouse. he misses his all the time even tho she's on speed dial.

still making my way thru the new content for ffxvi but i've finished the base dlc story!! once i get thru everything + as per isola's rules i'll be canon updating in about a week? probably two? like i said i'm still making my way thru everything and i kno base game has some new quests so this will give me an excuse to do a third playthru LMAO

sometimes i'll sit and think about how you actually never hear anabella call clive by his name at all during ffxvi ( from what i remember anyway ). it really hammers in how she not only doesn't see him as her son but also probably just doesn't see him as anything human or worthwhile. and how that line of thinking probably made clive believe that he wasn't worth anything at all, at least anything that wasn't outside his duty as first shield, and probably why he clings so hard to that duty in the first place because he doesn't feel like he's worth anything. i don't have too many complaints about ffxvi ( anything that rly matters anyway ) but man i wish we got more of clive's relationship with anabella and i wish her death wasn't completely swept under the rug bc not only did she fuck up clive but you know she fucked up joshua with her coddling and expectations and conditional love. maybe we'll get something in the dlc!

me noticing clive's canines are sharper than they usually should be on a normal human being: this will surely effect the seren population ( this only adds fuel to my hc that clive's fangs grow sharper once he awakens ifrit )

thinking about how clive commonly lays his forehead against others ( jill, joshua & torgal ) and i just think that's his love language as well as just physical touch. i think touching others keeps him grounded, as a sign of being in reality because he spent thirteen years of his life just dissociating and living for the sake of being able to carry out his revenge, not because he was all the way there emotionally and mentally. so i think that's why clive is relatively touchy with ppl he cares about and doesn't usually shy away with physical touch.

anyway i just love how physical he is with ppl bc u dont rly get that a lot with protags who are like him but he's so emotional and it's never seen as a weakness, he's never called weak for crying or sharing his emotions. it's actually his biggest strength.

i'm gonna pray and hope that something doesn't kick my ass as soon as i put out a starter call, but clive's hanging around the halloween party ( for his wife ) so like this post if you want to mingle with him ( and torgal! ). he's bad with these types of events which will only make things funnier. i'll cap this around 3 for now.
