Being royalty is a thing many could only dream of.

You would get to have the perfect life: wealth and more than just a roof over your head. On top of it, you could practically request anything you wished and it would come true, if money couldn't buy it- surely there would be a way that wish would come true for the best in society, especially if you have a magic pearl passed down to you from generation to generation.

But bearing the title of royalty also came with a price. Namely: attempts on your life. Or someone close to you. Yes, the Dubois family were dragons that is true, but a dragon isn't indestructible; and the more they are worn out from repeated attacks... the weaker, and the easier they are to kill in the next try.

That is why the Royal Guards exist; protectors of the draconic family, their home, and in this one specific Guard's case: their precious daughter, the heir to the throne.

'The best of the best' ; 'an impeccable marksman' ; 'A silent shadow, most efficient in his work' Dr. Kraus was described as. From the very first moment he was hired to become a Royal Guard, you could tell he took the job extremely seriously... perhaps a little too seriously. From the way he dressed to his general stone-cold serious attitude; some might describe it as 'mysterious', 'plain' even, given the little emotion he would show even towards his priority: the princess. When he did show emotion, it was intense, maybe a little dramatic, and almost strict in a way.

When he wasn't glued to Princess Annalise's side, the man would just... simply disappear. As if he was never there. Nobody knew exactly where he'd go or what he did in his time off the job. But he was well known for his profession as a monster-hunter, chemist, and biologist of the natural, unnatural and supernatural, so... that was enough of a clue on what he did when he wasn't at the Dubois chateau... right?

                       “I have nothing I wish to speak to you about,” most of this was a little too surreal for her. The travelling in time, the double of her SISTER and now the sheer fact that she as STUCK there. In a timeline she wasn’t a part of, with people she had nothing in common with. Most of them probably wanting to see her pay for all her crimes and the alliance with Thanos. THIS Nebula, the one before her was not the sister she knew. “I do not belong here. I may have found a reason to HELP with your battle but I am not meant for this place. I despise Terra, almost as much as I despise my own betrayal with our fa---” No, she would never call him that. As much as she had been some-what dedicated to Thanos, she had never actually wanted to see his plan play out. Not at that cost. “I’m not the sister you KNEW, I may never be like her. You need to forget me and MOURN her. It is the ONLY way forward.”

                       “If all I have done is made mistakes, chosen the wrong side to follow and allowed that MONSTER to take lives .... you have to allow me to die as my one GOOD choice. I wouldn’t ask this of you unless I knew it was going to protect everyone else.” Thanos was unlikely to stop in his quest to find the stones, there was little that could prevent him from succeeding. Other than his inability to FIND them all. Something Gamora knew about and refused to share with the Titan. “So when the time comes, when he has me ... if he has me, you need to be the one to KILL ME. I mean it, Peter, he can’t take me with him ... but I can’t tell you why so please don’t ask.”

               “I thought when you said we should WIND DOWN with some of your finest wines that it would offer more of a KICK than this.” Terra might’ve been ADVANCING in many ways but they would never master ALCOHOL like some of the outer rim planets. Even within the nine realms, Asgard had to be the one with the strongest ALE. “I may as well be drinking WATER for all the good this is doing but I guess it is STILL too soon to really enjoy ourselves. We’ve got a long way to go.”

                 “What made you decide to ACTUALLY do the right thing?” This seemed a little humorous for her to question considering her OWN past. She had been doing anything BUT the right thing while under the Titan’s command. It had almost never been possible for her to do anything else, yet now she was FREE of him and finally working for the GREATER good. “I’m just curious. I was NEVER truly committed to his way of thinking. I simply had no choice but I do feel that you made the CHOICE with many of your moments. Correct me if I’m wrong.”

               “HEY! Terran! Wake up and help me figure a way to fix this ship enough to get the THREE of us away from this HELLISH place.” Gamora had been trapped for a while, unsure of what had happened to the others but she had somehow managed to get away from there. She’d hoped to find some of the others, yet she had only been lucky enough to find this Terran and her sister. “We don’t have time for pleasantries, I’m Gamora and yes, I’m HER sister and his adopted daughter. That is all we need to say. Do you know ANYTHING about the engineering of space crafts?”

                 “You have a lot to CARRY which is burden that NO single person should have.” He was probably one of the FEW of Terra she actually respected. He was the CAPTAIN of the AVENGERS, at least she was taking his title to mean that much. “I will do what it takes to bring them all back, I have NO idea why I am here and not ... wherever that stone sent me but I do NOT care if I die. This is no martyr move on my part, I simply do not believe I should walk away while others survive. Not after the many years I spent under his command. I could’ve STOPPED this sooner if I’d been a little stronger.”

             “Which of the MIGHTY AVENGERS are you supposed to be?” There was a hint of displeasure in her tone, she was simply growing tired of meeting SO MANY others from Terra. There seemed to be a new addition every step she took. Of course, it made perfect sense with the impending DEATHS that were likely to take most of them.

                “Are you TRYING to get the BOTH of us killed? Peter, I appreciate you TRYING to come to my rescue but this is POINTLESS. He already knows where it is ... I don’t know how you found us but you need to GO. Warn the others, find a way to defeat him.”

                 “GREAT, another Terran who seems like they are close to either passing out or coming up with another GREEN alien comment.” It was becoming a regular thing, most of Earth reacting strangely towards Gamora. She couldn’t exactly blame them, she was far from the norm to them but it was beginning to bug her. “Let me guess, you have never seen anyone with my skin colour before. OR, better yet, I remind you of some witch in a singing show. Right? Well, my name is Gamora and I’m trying to find your mighty Avengers.”

              “I’m really starting to wonder how many more ASGARDIANS I am going to run into out here. Is this your latest place of refuge or is it all by chance? As far as I’m aware, your ROYAL kind don’t cower with the likes of THIS realm.” Neither did Gamora but she had no choice, they were hiding out while they TRIED to form a plan. “Is the Thunder God with you? Thor, I believe....or the other ... the trickster one. Why are you here?”
