It wasn't often that Skyler was on a hunt alone. But with his father and brother off tackling a huge vampire nest, he was ordered to look into a witch in Louisiana. The first stop he made when he got to the state was the library. Maybe he could pinpoint where this witch lived. Luckily, his father had given him a name. Misty Day. So he was currently looking through a phone book.

After a few minutes, he lost interest due to his ADHD. The young hunter looked around the room, not seeing too many people. That's when he saw her. The prettiest girl he's ever seen. It looked like she was having trouble getting a book from the top shelf, so Skyler went over there.

"Hey, would you like some help?"

Before her arms left him, he took her right hand and placed a gentle kiss. After doing that he put the two done pancakes on a plate. Sky then poured some more batter. As he was checking the eggs he felt the swat. He looked over and chuckled.

"Yep," He chuckled some more. "Do you remember the time when I finally asked you out?"

⦕☥⦖ She smirked as she gave him a gentle squeeze; she was so smitten with him. There was so many terrible things she'd been through, and subjected to; and Sky had never been scared away from it. He'd been loving, and supportive even when she thought she didn't deserve it.

"Yeah..." she gave his butt a gentle swat as she let go. "Just a little bit, huh?"

     ❝No shit? That’s cool!❞ Thoughts of his own failed band came back to him. It was one of his biggest disappointments he’s ever had. ❝I’ve tried to start a band myself. It obviously failed... It was called Emotional Nudist. But anyway that’s still so cool. What’s the band’s name and what genre is it?❞

Sky really enjoyed his time with Vanessa, she was easy to talk to so it made these interviews a walk in the park. If it was up to him, he'd only have her interview Emotional Nudist. She just made him feel so welcome. What other interviewee would take the time and just have a normal conversation before the show? Not many.

"Nothing too much. Just working on a new album which is exciting enough."

She had eons before her show went live later, and it was important for her to have an air of casual comfort when it came to her and her guests. And it made for better interviews when everyone was at ease.

     Skyler normally doesn’t wake up in the middle of the night but he woke up to find Emma missing, frowning he got up to go look for her. He put on his pants and exited the bedroom. He knows she’s been through a lot and he just wanted to make sure she was okay. Sky looked all through the house only to find her outside. He then joined her. “Hey girl, is everything okay?”

“You’re very welcome, Skyler.” 

Dot took a moment to stop at the door to where Gloria worked, and motioned for him to wait a minute. She took a moment to hand Gloria what she’d been working on, then went back into the hallway to him. 

“Alright-  let’s get that lunch.”

      As Dot dropped off the paperwork, Skyler nodded and waited in the hall for her. He twiddled his thumbs until Dot reappeared. As she spoke, he smiled.

      “Sounds good.” He started walking with her. “So tell me again how long have you been here?”

Sure, Skyler wasn't taller than her, but it was the thought that counts, right? Plus, he was just happy to help. It's just who he is. And honestly, he would rather be doing anything else than focusing on the hunt.

"For sure."

• Misty •

Misty loved coming to the library, being one of the few places you didn't really need money or a reason to be there. You could just show up, wander around looking at the books, sit and people watch out of the windows, and no one minded. No one made you leave if you just sat there reading all day. And for the times Misty wanted to be around people just a little bit, the library was perfect for that.

With the book she wanted just a little out of reach, Misty was about ready to use the bottom shelf to give her a little more stretch when she heard someone talking to her. When she turned, she gave him a huge smile. He wasn't even taller than her, but he was cute.

"Sure, maybe between the two of us, we can sort out how to get that book."

Emma returned the embrace as they cuddled in close. She appreciated being able to find comfort in Sky; but part of her hoped he fell asleep soon so he didn’t have to worry about her anymore tonight. 

  “Yeah…it is.”

      “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

      He smiled as he continued to hug her. As much as he wanted to go back to sleep, he didn’t want to in case Emma needed him. Sky didn’t want her to feel alone as she’s been through so much. He always wanted to be there for her.

Sky flashed her a smile before he turned his attention back to the pancake. As he flipped it he felt her arms wrap around him. He wouldn't change anything about his life. It was just perfect with her and her younger brother. It makes him feel like they're a small family and that made him really happy.

"Yeah? Good cuz it'd be awkward if you didn't feel the same." He teased.

⦕☥⦖ Hearing it out loud meant a lot to her and put her mind at ease. When the lab had taken everything from her, Sky had helped piece her life back together. And in her heart, she knew there was nothing she wouldn't do for him, to both make him happy, and to keep him safe.

She got up, ditching the mug at the table and wrapped her arms around him from behind as he cooked.

"You're my dream too..."

"Of course. You didn't ruin my dreams. I get to be with you and that makes me really happy and nothing can change that."

Sure, when he was growing up he did want to get into the music industry, but that was before he met Emma. If he had to choose between her and music, he would always pick her without question.

"Being with you became my new dream."

⦕☥⦖ She easily returned the smile, with a light and brief last leaving her lips. It wasn't entirely what she meant...as Emma always felt bad for causing his life to divert so far from the path he wanted.

"Okay okay. I more meant like...do you still feel that way even though I ended up messing up all your dreams??"

Sky poured some more batter into the pan. The batter hissed once it touched the hot pan. As it sizzled, he took a drink of his coffee and focused on her. He had a big smile on his face as he spoke.

"Girl, you've already done that."

⦕☥⦖ Content in this moment, Emma continued to watch him. She appreciated the time and effort he was putting into the breakfast; and how hard he tried. She just wished the rest of the world gave him a chance, then they'd see how great he was too.

"Even if I turned your world upside-down?"

Sky continued to stir the eggs, making sure they got really nice and fluffy. Sure, he wasn't the best cook around, but he really wanted this breakfast to turn out great. As she spoke, he took the spatula and flipped the pancake ungracefully.

"I feel the same way about you."

⦕☥⦖ She knew he meant that, but she still felt like she wasn't worthy of the love he had for her. Emma propped her head on her hand and met his smile with one of her own.

"You do too, Sky. I'd be so lost without you."

"Anytime."

Skyler replied as he stopped stirring the eggs. He grabbed one of the pans and set it on the stovetop before he turned it on. He then put the eggs in the pan to let them cook. Sky then grabbed one of the mixing bowls and the boxed pancake batter mix. He got a measuring cup and took out a cup of batter. He then put the dry powder into the bowl. Using the same measuring cup he got some water and added that to the dry batter.

"Cool thanks."

He waited a moment and took a drink of his coffee. Afterward, he got a wisk and started mixing the water and powder.

"Thank you. I appreciate you."

She watched him from where she leaned; it was the truth though. Sky's love and care got her through SO much. He stuck with her when she had nothing left- she owed him everything. When the coffee finished brewing, she poured him made him a coffee just the way he liked, and set it down beside where he was working.

"Here, babe."
