some 18th century otp doodles in between commissions <33 the first one is sometime in the 1750s - 60s, while the last one is from anytime post 1779 because this was when official uniforms were first issued, and so Alfred wears one whereas he did not 3-4 years beforehand! Also, I like to think he cut his hair short at the start of the revolution too :p rejecting Empire ideals and all that!!

I've always had it so that it was Suzie's brother Henry who stayed with her in America to be the one to teach her how to shoot a gun in the mid-late 1780s, but what if it'd been Alfred himself? Reasoning being that while Henry was a veteran of the revolution, he's... also kind of old HDBFJD although not frail by any means (he lives until 139 years old! thank god for contagious quasi-immortality am i right),,, and Alfred seems like the type to jump at the chance to teach people things. But yeah,,, thoughts...

Thinking about how fuckin goated Alfred and Suzie would be if they ever found themselves in a typical zombie apocalypse. 😭 They're both good with their hands and highly resourceful. It also helps that they know their respective regions like the back of their hand. They work well together. They're both experienced combatants, and if gas eventually runs out they're great on horseback. Like, they lived like that in the mid to late-ish 1800s, I think they'll be fine JDJFJSJFJ

still sick but i've been fluffy since yesterday and hhh... fluffy thoughts... Suzie is sick. So she's crying bc she feels like shit + she feels useless when she's not productive, and Alfred just getting in bed with her wordlessly. At first, she resists ("H-hey, wait. What are you–?"), and he just wraps his arms around her tightly. "You're going to get sick," Suzie reprimands, although her voice is shot and raspy. Try as she might, she just sounds exhausted and in response Alfred just shrugs. "It's okay," He says. "I'd rather get sick than listen to you cry." 😭💖 bonus: his ass does get sick and it's Suzie's turn to take care of him LOL he's usually super dramatic when he gets sick bc it's rare these days but he's surprisingly obedient this time. They have matching pajamas and they spend the day watching cheesy romcoms 🫶🫶🫶
