why am I emotional thinking about his parents putting up their first picture with rosie on a wall at their house... and jack and daisy also get so emotional - 👩‍⚕️

“baby? you went to the bathroom fifteen minutes ago. what’s wr— oh,” jack says as he approaches his girlfriend in the hallway. both hands landing on her hips as he slides in behind her, looking over her shoulder at what caught her attention.

the wall of the hallway in his parent’s house were covered in photos. jack’s seen some of them a million times. most of them being pictures of jack and his brothers from when he was younger.

but at the beginning of the hallway there’s been new additions added to the collection that jack hasn’t seen before. pictures of violet and luke from her many trips to jersey the past season, after one of his games. violet was grinning at the camera, but luke’s attention was on her, eyes glued to the side of her head. jack recognizes the picture, being the one who took it.

there was also a recent picture of violet and daxton at dax’s graduation. the two kingston siblings sporting identical dimples. jack knew both the young boy and violet would be brought to tears if they saw the picture proudly being displayed in his parent’s home.

there were two pictures of quinn and azalea. one being taken after the awards. azalea squeezing his older brothers cheeks so hard it made his lips form a pout, but the grin was still obvious beneath it as his girlfriend laid the biggest kiss on his cheek. and another picture of the two of them cuddled up on a deck chair at the lake house in front of the fire.

then there were pictures of jack and daisy. pictures of them at the family skate at the outdoor game earlier in the year. a picture of daisy and rosie saying hi to jack and luke at the glass during warm ups. a picture of jack and daisy kissing on the boat. a photo of rosie in her little princess outfit on her birthday. a picture of rosie sitting on luke’s shoulders in the pool. the whole wall was covered in photos of their family. their entire family.

jack felt himself getting a little choked up, tightening his arms around daisy’s waist and slotting his chin in the space between her shoulder and neck, just holding her tightly while she processed whatever emotions she was feeling. a few minutes later she wiggled in his grip, and he loosens his arms enough for her to turn around.

“thank you for giving me and rosie this family jack,” daisy says tearfully, pressing a quick kiss to his chest

“i’m the one who should be thanking you for blessing me with our family baby. I love you,” jack says roughly, connecting their lips in a slow, soft kiss and resting his forehead on hers.

“I love you,” she whispers back and jack’s heart beats faster in response, like it always does.

Someone chirping luke about vi or jack about daisy and they just straight up throw down

oh this is so 😵‍💫

when he was at mich I could totally see luke just dropping the gloves even though he’s not allowed to whenever someone said something about vi. when he’s at jersey though, especially the first few years luke would chirp back once or twice and only then drop the gloves.

jack would also chirp back first when it comes to daisy. I would think chirps about players girlfriends are quite common and if he reacted every time someone said daisy was hot , he’d constantly be in the box. if it’s disrespectful of course he’s gonna do it though. and if they even just mention rosie, he’s dropping them. doesn’t matter what they were saying. you don’t talk about rosie.

with quinn? oh he’s dropping the gloves before they can even finish pronouncing azzie’s name

and when daisy cancels on him friday night, and he sees that she went to quinn’s game instead with their group of friends, he decided to take trevor up on that offer.

Damn that was kinda mean of Daisy

she was planning on going to jack’s game, she really was. but then all her friends was going to quinn’s game, and he asked her to come and she just couldn’t say no.

she really didn’t think jack would be that upset about it and she could always try to go and watch another one of his games! but he was really upset . . .

he watched the stands for her the whole night. she could’ve at least texted him. and jack makes sure she knows he’s upset too. doesn’t smile at her in the hallways at school. doesn’t bother greeting her when she’s at their house to see quinn. just kinda seems very uninterested until daisy addresses it one day.

he was already in the kitchen when she came down from quinn’s room to grab a drink. and when jack sees her entering, he immediately moves to leave but she stops him before he can.

“can we talk for a sec?” daisy asks, a hand on jack’s arm to halt him and jack resists the urge to lean into her touch more, trying to remember why he was upset with her

“is there any point in talking when I can’t believe a word that comes out of your mouth,” jack snaps, and feels immediately bad for it when she flinches a little

“okay, I deserve that. jack I really am sorry,” daisy says and jack clenches his jaw slightly

“when you say you’re gonna do something, do it. and if you change your mind or something comes up at least have the decency to text someone and let them know,” jack mumbles leaning on the kitchen counter and daisy sighs, moving her hand up to his shoulder and jack gets funny feeling in his chest when her thumb moves back and forth across the fabric of his T-shirt.

“you’re right. what I did was really rude but I promise I didn’t do it on purpose. I wasn’t planning on going to quinn’s game but something came up and I really had to go to that game. and I totally forgot that I had promised you I would go to yours. which is my fault 100% and I’m really sorry I bailed on you and didn’t text, it totally slipped my mind. which isn’t an excuse, I know I messed up okay? and I really am sorry. And I’m also sorry it’s taken me like a week to apologize. to be fair you have ran away from me every time I’ve wanted to,” daisy says and jack huffs

“I wasn’t running away,” jack mumbles in protest but daisy just sends him a look

“the point is i’m sorry okay? I don’t want you to be mad at me,” daisy says and jack sends her a soft smile

“I’m not mad anymore dais. I honestly forgave you already. I just had a bad day and it’s making me more irritated than usual, sorry,” he admits a little shyly and daisy squeezes his shoulder gently

“s’okay, we all have bad days. anything you wanna talk about?” daisy asks and jack sighs

“not really, it’s just hockey stuff,” jack says and daisy knows he’s not gonna talk about it with her, but even if he did, she wouldn’t be able to relate so she probably wouldn’t be of much use anyway, but there was someone else who could help.

“you should talk to Quinny about it,” she says

“I don’t know, he has a lot going on too. I don’t wanna add more things to his plate,” jack says and daisy smiles, finding him endearing

“Quinn is such an older sibling. he loves taking care of other people, especially those he loves. I bet you he’d love being able to give you advice. and he just so happens to be pretty decent at it,” daisy says, and jack just nods, acknowledging he heard what she said, but not committing to doing it. which was fine. daisy wasn’t one to push, which was one of the things he loved about her. liked about her.

“so we’re good?” daisy asks one more time

“yeah dais, we’re good,” jack says and laughs softly when she kisses him on the cheek

“perfect. I know you’re about to make yourself a ham and cheese toastie, make me one? I’d love you forever,” she teases, and makes her way back up the stairs before jack could respond

if only it was that easy, he’d make her all the ham and cheese toasties she wants.

yes she does! after she realizes how disappointed he was that she wasn’t at the previous one she makes it a priority to go to the next one. . . wearing his jersey as an extra little apology🥰

“there’s something about my last name on your back dais,” jack says as a way of greeting as he meets her in the parking lot after the game, a sparkle in his eye as it lands on the jersey she was wearing, his jersey.

“you’ve seen your last name on my back countless times Jack,” daisy teases and jack steps closer as she leans against her car, putting his hands on either side of her hips and leaning slightly closer

he can smell her perfume from here, and he’s almost desperate to get the jersey back from her and wear it himself, always having that scent close

“yeah but this is different. it’s my jersey,” he replies tugging on the sleeve gently. of course she’s worn quinn’s jersey more times than jack cares to remember but she was wearing his tonight.

“you see my goal?” jack asks when she doesn’t respond, a big grin on his face

“couldn’t miss it even if I wanted to,” she says, thinking about how she was unable to draw her attention away from jack on the ice for even a second. even when he didn’t have the puck, there was just something about the way he moved that made her captivated by him

“good. it was for you,” jack replies, and a smile pulls at the edges of her lips that she’s trying to contain, and jack desperately wants her to give in, wanting nothing more than to see the two dimples that always appear when he’s lucky enough to get a smile outta her

“does that line usually work for you stud?” daisy teases, placing her hand on his chest and jack hopes she can’t feel the way his heart immediately speeds up at the simple touch

stud? that’s a new one. and jack curses the way his stomach flips at the new nickname

“it has a pretty good track record,” jack teases back and daisy scoffs, pushing him away slightly

“there’s my favourite girl,” a voice comes from behind him and jack can’t help but roll his eyes when he recognizes it.

“hi trev,” she greets, a polite smile on her face and jack desperately wants to go back to a few moments ago when it was just the two of them and all her attention was on him.

“hi dais,” trevor says back enthusiastically, squeezing her tight and pressing a chaste peck on her left cheek, shooting jack a cheeky grin as his head rests on hers

“you’re breaking quinn’s five second hug rule,” jack comments

“not like he’s here to enforce it,” trevor responds

“I’d be happy to do it for him,” jack replies and trevor frowns in response, reluctantly stepping away from her

“let’s get you guys home. I told your mom I’d drive you. where’s alex?” daisy asks, directing the question at trevor.

“he’ll be out in a few,” trevor responds jumping into the back seat and daisy and jack follow shortly after. jack sliding into the passenger seat

“can I have aux?” trevor asks reaching across the console before daisy’s even answered to search for the chord but jack snatches it before he has a chance to

“she doesn’t like listening to music while she drives,” jack responds, knowing she got into a small accident a few weeks ago due to her swerving to miss a squirrel running across the road. she wasn’t harmed, nor was anyone else except the neighbours mail box but ever since she hasn’t liked having the radio on or having any other unnecessary distractions

“it’s okay, you guys can play whatever you want,” daisy reassures him but jack only clenches the chord tighter, slightly annoyed at how easily she’s willing to make herself uncomfortable to please other people. just like he knows she’s not entirely comfortable driving with three other people in the car yet, but she’ll do it cause his mom asked her to.

“s’not gonna kill anyone to sit in silence for a few minutes, no matter how foreign the concept might be to him,” jack says, directing the last part of his sentence towards his friend and trevor only smiles shaking his head and sitting back against the seat

“are you staying for dinner dais?” trevor asks only a few seconds later, proving jack’s point

“yeah, I’m staying for dinner, probably hanging out with Quinn for an hour or two before heading home,” daisy answers and jack purses his lips at the reminder that once again, she’s not coming to his house to see him. or celebrate his win. she’ll be there to see quinn.

but at least he’ll have someone else that’ll give trevor a hard time whenever he flirts with daisy.

it was azzie’s first time celebrating july fourth. her family was a little sad that she was gonna miss canada day (while she had time to fly between van and michigan , she just wasn’t up for the travels honestly) but she was really excited to spend the time with quinn’s family. there was even some extended family like little cousins and such which azzie loved because she probably won’t see those members of his family much during the year. it was really just nice getting to know his brothers, his parents and ofc vi and daisy. quinn was so excited to have her there and he was just so sweet. including her in all the family games, explaining the rules to make sure she didn’t feel excluded, he even made ellen make one of her mom’s desserts to make her feel a bit more at ease. azzie fit right in though, everyone adored her.

vi wearing a bikini with the american flag print is just so violet coded to me for some reason? and luke would love it. luke and vi not being able to keep their hands to themselves is just so canon in this au at this point😭 they are always attached at the hip, connected in some way, pressing kisses at random places. they are just so touchy. at one point ellen is just like “will you please refrain from mauling your girlfriend in front of an audience,” and he’d just press one last kiss to violet’s lips before sending his mom a sheepish/apologetic smile. but everyone is used to them by now.

jim at the barbecue and quinn is helping him while azzie teases him about being a good cook

azzie, daisy and ellen sitting in lawn chairs close to the barbecue each with a glass of wine in their hands while they keep quinn and jim company. luke, violet, jack and rosie are playing some type of game on the grass. I do think cooking is something that azzie and quinn love to do together and for each other as a sign of their love.

violet laying on the dock and jack just flipping her towel so she drops in the water. she’s perfectly fine, except for the little splinter in her palm when she clinged to the dock with one hand, cursing him out and promising to get him back but luke saw it happen and he wasn’t very happy. “you shouldn’t do that when she’s that close to the dock. she could’ve hit her head,” luke argues and despite violet reassuring him that she’s fine and her head was far from hitting the dock luke is insisting that jack take her safety more seriously. if luke was gonna take extra precautions to make sure he kept daisy and especially rosie safe whenever they were in his presence, jack could return the same favour.

this is so funny😭 he is trying so hard not to curse in her presence but fuck did it burn. “you are so lucky that you’re cute and I love you,” cole says, hissing as he lifts his foot to inspect the marshmallow that fell onto his foot. she gives uncle cole lots of snuggles afterwards and he completely forgets about it.

and little rosie is soooo tired at the time of the fireworks so she's crying a bit in jacks arms cause she gets scared but she had the best day ever with all the uncles and aunts

daisy and jack got her ear plugs just in case she still happened to be awake at the time of the fireworks but someone started firing theirs early and it scared poor rosie so bad, she definitely started crying and hiding in jack’s chest. but he gets the ear plugs and she lays on her dad’s chest while watching the variety of colours fill the sky, and her little snores fill the air shortly after.

I know we said that jack and daisy had a date night instead of going to the concert but this video that came out of him dancing around is doing things to me... imagine it being him and daisy 😭 maybe she's not even a big country music fan so that's why he's spinning her around trying to cheer her up (she honestly wanted to stay home with rosie but jack pouted until she agreed to go with him lol) - 👩‍⚕️

"are you having fun? we can go home if you want baby," jack whispers in her ear, hands wrapped around her waist as her back rests against his chest.

"I'm having fun. I aways have fun when I'm with you J. and besides what's more important is that you're having fun. I always have the best time watching you do things that make you happy," daisy replies, pressing a messy kiss to his jaw and jack dips his head to press a kiss to her neck in return.

he puts his hands on her hips and spins her around so she was facing him, tugging her against him and looping his arms around her waist, trying hard to stop himself from letting his hands wander down to her ass.

"you know, I keep thinking this is just a honeymoon phase or whatever. that I can't possibly feel this amount of love and happiness long term. but we've been in this thing for two years now and I just love you more and more every day. I think if you told seventeen year old jack that he was gonna be here, with you and rosie, he'd he so happy he'd probably have a heart attack" jack jokes, grinning when daisy snorts out a laugh

"seventeen year old jack was crushing on me hard huh?" daisy asks, playing with the strands of hair at the back of jack's head

"mhm, rightfully so. I'm still just as obsessed with you baby, I don't think my school boy crush is ever gonna go away," jack says, pressing a chaste kiss to her lips

"I'm so lucky to have you jack. I'm so grateful for you and I love you so much. I know I don't always say or show it-"

"you do. there's not a day that goes by where rosie and I doubt or wonder about your love for us. maybe you don't say it as often, but trust me you do show it and I know," jack interrupts her, kissing the frown between her brows away and tightening his arms around her in a big hug.

the next morning jack has barely got his coffee down before trevor is dragging him outside. proudly showing him the swinging chair

“absolute not,” jack argues as trevor tells him about how he bought it for rosie

“there’s a seatbelt and everything. she’s perfectly safe,” trevor argues as jack swings the chair back and forth

“what if the chair breaks off? and falls in the water…” jack questions and trevor just stares at him for a few seconds

“that’s highly unlikely,” trevor argues

“but not impossible. its a nice sentiment trev, but im not putting my kid on that thing. and you might wanna think about removing it before quinn sees what you’ve done to his boat,” jack says, clapping trevor on the shoulder as he passes him and makes his way back inside

I was thinking about how daisy knows luke forever also... like since he was just a kid so in a way he is a little brother to her specially after she got together with jack and she's so defensive over him... she knows connor also deserved the calder but she's so upset for luke 🥺 she keeps mumbling in jacks ear how unfair it is and he's shushing her and laughing cause there are cameras on them - 👩‍⚕️

haha yes. the contrast between violet who's accepted it and trying to convince luke he's great anyway and he doesn't need a trophy to tell him that, and daisy who's upset for him that he didn't win it.

"everyone knew he was gonna win before the season was even over," daisy whispers in jack's ear and he tries to keep the grin off his face

"he deserves it," jack whispers back

"so does luke!" she hisses and both jack's brothers and their girlfriends glance over at them

"shh I know I know. so does brock. they all had amazing seasons, but that's just not how it works," jack tells her, rubbing soothing circles on her knee and glances over at his younger brother.

violet had one hand at the nape of his neck, gently running her fingers through the curls there and whispering something in his ear that makes him laugh softly and pull her closer. his little brother didn't look all that upset that he lost. . .

I just know jack would be the biggest baby when it’s very hot. constantly complaining about the weather and how he can’t do anything bc it’s too hot to even breathe.

“I feel like my skin is melting,” jack complains, his head resting on daisy’s chest, arm thrown over her stomach as they lie on the couch that’s on the deck of the lake house

“why does it have to be so hot dais?” jack whines, playing with the strings on her bikini bottom

“cause I’m here,” daisy replies cheekily

“haha,” jack says sarcastically but he can’t stop the smile from stretching across his face.

daisy only smiles at him for a second, pushing his hair away from his face before scooting away from him a bit

“what’re you doing?” jack asks, his hand following her and taking hold of her wrist

“giving you some space. you’re obviously hot baby, body heat is only gonna make it worse,” daisy explains but jack scoots closer to her again, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her as close as possible

“i’m gonna be hot and miserable either way. might as well be hot and miserable while holding my girl,” jack responds, pressing a kiss to her neck

Does Quinn realize they are in love with each other or is baby boy just in his own world?

he quickly picks up on jack’s crush on daisy, as do a lot of their friends since jack isn’t exactly subtle about it and flirts with her any time he can. . .but he kind of dismisses it as a teenage crush jack will grow out of

quinn also knows daisy though and jack isn’t really her type. she likes the serious, boring, smart guys. stable and safe. and jack isn’t really that, especially with the career he’s going into

and him and daisy have talked about jack’s flirting before and she’s told him countless times she wasn’t interested in his little brother like that . . .

a few years later, once daisy becomes pregnant and jack is so involved in her and rosie’s lives is when quinn begins to comprehend that maybe they’re really falling for each other

but he is a little iffy about it bc he’s so so protective of both of them and he doesn’t want them to get hurt. and he wouldn’t know how to handle it if two of the people he loves the most hurt each other . . .

but you bet eventually, he’s their biggest fan <3
