A/N: Joey!! Ahh thank you so much! I hope you like this!! Also, idk if you're a dog person or not so I hope you're okay with the mention of dogs here hehe. Also, I have no idea what ice cream you like so BEAR WITH ME HAHA. And how could you not request for your hubby I'm sad

Birds chirping, flowers dancing in the wind, the laughter of children lingering. The park you and Erwin were at for your summer picnic was filled with little families, some bringing along their pets. Friends basking under the sun chit chatting and playing games, children running around chasing after birds. It was such a lovely day. Setting up your mat, your boyfriend took the picnic basket and arranged them.

"We should've brought the dogs too, they would love it here," you told Erwin, pouring orange juice into two glasses.

"Unfortunately, part two of today's itinerary isn't pet friendly," Erwin laughed as he removed his shoes and sat on the mat. "And also, I wanted today to be just for the two of us." Winking at you, Erwin took a sip from his glass.

"Tsk, so secretive," you gave Erwin the side eye and you joined him on the mat, opening a box of sandwiches. Munching on one half while feeding Erwin the other, your curiosity got better of you and you couldn't help it but ask him.

"So, what's part two of today's itinerary?"

Parking the car, Erwin brought you to a quaint little shop nearby. Looking at the front wooden door, a blackboard was hanging with the word 'Open' written on it. There was also a bicycle underneath a large signboard displaying the shop's name. Stepping foot into the shop, you were greeted with red brick walls, oak tables, wooden stools, and the fragrant smell of vanilla.

"So this is where you wanted to bring me?" You looked around, seeing couples on dates, college students studying, as well as some others working on their laptops.

"Well, yeah. Mike told me about this ice cream shop after coming here with Nanaba, and she loved it. So, I wanted to bring you here too," Erwin told you as he pulled out a seat for you. Erwin chose a table by the windows, and you had a perfect view of the garden at the back of the shop.

"Not bad, I like the ambience," you gave Erwin a smile. "Any recommendations?" Flipping the menu placed on the table, you were unsure of what you wanted; every item on the menu looked appetising.

"They did mention that the waffles and ice cream here are excellent. They sell many different flavours of waffles here too." Moments later, Erwin went to the counter and placed the orders while you took another look around.

About ten minutes later, the staff came to your table with the orders. Erwin got a banana split that had three scoops of ice cream instead of the usual one, and you tried their earl grey waffles with a double scoop of dark chocolate and honeycomb ice cream. As you took a spoonful, the cool bittersweet flavours of the dark chocolate erupted in your mouth. It complemented the fragrant earl grey waffles extremely well. There were generous bits of honeycomb in the ice cream too, and the subtle sweetness was refreshing.

"Oh wow, this is really good," Erwin scooped some of his ice cream and fed you, marvelling in its sweet sensation. Somehow, Erwin got whipped cream on his nose without realising. He looked silly, and you wished you could take a photo. Back when you two started dating, Erwin always brought you to different ice cream parlours and cafés. Even after being together for 13 years, Erwin still manages to make you feel like a teen in love with his thoughtful gestures and sweet-talking.

The both of you spent the remainder of the afternoon chatting about post events, reminiscing your college days and laughing over embarrassing events. Once you both were done, Erwin offered you his arm and you hooked yours in his, walking out of the ice cream shop in synchronised steps.

"Sorry if you were expecting more," Erwin said as he unlocked the car, opening the passenger door for you. "I thought you looked a little tired recently so I wanted to perk you up a little."

"Nonsense, it was great, really, just like the old days."

"Glad you enjoyed yourself then, Mrs Smith," adjusting the rear view mirror, Erwin lowered the handbrake and drove out of the parking lot.

"Of course, I'm already looking forward to the next date, Mr Smith."

i get most of my insp from other editors!! i really like looking at other editors stuff when i need ideas for my own edits :]

TOO LONG. on average i spend like 40 minutes on just one graphic, so making a set of graphics is like. almost an hour per graphic. i am the slowest editor ever sfksjf

this is. a little mean of me. but i really dislike super over the top dividers, like the ones that are really really long for no reason. theyre just a little annoying to me sfkshfj
