here’s the four different points in Evan’s life, what I call the four ‘verses’ for categorization purposes.

Before Evan became an established Pet seller with a fortune behind him, he was once a poor orphan with nothing to his name. He lived in an orphanage but was kicked out for bad behavior and his tendency to get into fights. He took to the streets and fell in with the gangs, but they all looked down on him as beneath them. With his extraordinary business acumen and a talent for manipulating others, Evan has risen to the top of the Pet industry and made a name for himself. Gone are the days of living on the streets, now he walks upon them in tailor-made suits, trying to bury the past deep beneath the surface. It still lingers in the way he takes his anger out on those who go against him, however. He’s vindictive and cruel and he’ll go after anyone who’s ever hurt him or anyone who dares to disobey. { Whumper Evan. Angry and defiant, he tries to fight his way out, but this only leads him to more unpleasantness. He finally gets to experience the other side of the way of life he’s lead for years now, and he doesn’t know how much he can take before breaking. { Whumpee Evan. Rescued yes, but safe? Evan doesn’t know. He’s gotten away from the Pet business but all his life he’s known that people were out to get him and that weakness meant he would inevitably be hurt. He doesn’t know how to be vulnerable. He’d rather just destroy himself from inside—he’s broken enough for it anyways. Through this recovery period, he’ll learn to work through his past traumas, his nightmares and fears, and all the hurt and guilt he’s accumulated in his life.
