   “Admittedly I do not know much about dragon mating.” Zero doesn’t know a lot about quite a few things, but that one in particular was a bit further out of the realm of his understanding than other things. Eric probably had dragon in him, since he had so many different kinds of creatures inside of him, but it was never something they really needed or wanted to talk about when it came to each other. Eric doesn’t like talking about what he is, so they don’t really ever talk about those types of things. 

    But it was things like this he wanted Izumi to talk to him about. Who he was, his life experiences, the things that come with being what he was. It was things that Zero wanted to hear about, wanted to understand, wanted to learn. Without the weight of everything else drowning them. Zero wants to be with Izumi, every part of him that he’ll let him have, let him see. Because he likes all of it.

   He likes Izumi.

   “And I can understand that too. Wanting a space that is your own, that you can enjoy and make yours. You deserve that too. And when the time comes that it’s important for us to think a bit more about that, we can talk about it then.”

"My first and so far, only mate. He found me during a time in my life where I was angry and lashing out at those who hurt me. Of course, that meant that I was killing as many humans as I could get my claws on. I've told you about that before, I believe."

And now, he was awake and looking for him. No doubt to rekindle their relationship. Izumi and Wisteria hadn't gone through the proper mating rituals, and it was more of a title, than anything. Still, there was no denying that they were bound. They'd certainly enjoy getting away from him for the rest of their life.

"He's someone you should stay away from, if he ever finds his way to Abarith somehow. Let alone the manor...He actually thrives in hot environments."

Izumi sighs, shaking their head, another example of how their mercy could come back to haunt them. If they hadn't hesitated...Wisteria wouldn't be a threat, to them, to anyone.

"I understand that the manor is your home, but...I don't think it could be mine. I wouldn't want to live with Artemis breathing over my shoulder, and while Master Eric is pleasant enough...I do enjoy having a space of my own that I can decorate. Not to mention that I can't exactly lounge around in my unmentionables outside of my room."

If Izumi lived somewhere, they liked to make it their own, decorate, to put in a garden, or whatever they had a space for. They would like a lake they could swim in whenever they pleased, or a view or close proximity to the seas.

"Though, that won't exactly be an issue for a while."

The Manor

Built by Eric when Abarith was still very young, the manor is now several hundred years old. The manor is quite large, has two floors (layout first floor, layout second floor). The manor was hand built by Eric, infused with his magic and energy, and made from a magical tree. Due to this the house is very much alive with magic. Is aware of those that enter and leave it.

The house responds to Eric's emotions and he can feel everything that goes on inside it. He can also tap into the magic of the Manor and essentially magically lock it down if he feels there is a threat. Inside or out. You don't want to be the enemy locked inside with him. Eric uses this sometimes to keep Artemis trapped inside if he's being a particular threat to someone or especially unhindged that day. He doesn't like trapping his father inside.

The Manor has an attic that is used for storage and a basement that is used for other things. The basement has a magical array carved into the ground that allows Eric's magic to flow more freely through the manor. The array also hides what is hidden and buried beneath it (Eric's heart).

Eric doesn't leave the manor. He can wander a good distance from it, can even head to Abarith but the further he gets from the manor (that magical tie to his magic and his heart) he gets weaker. He spends a lot of time inside his office or the library, since he rarely needs to sleep unless he wants to.

The Manor can't be found by normal means. The magical dust storm that covers the desert was created by Eric to hide the manor from those that would seek it out. The manor can be stumbled upon unintentionally by those wandering the desert. It can also be found by those with a connection to any of the residence inside, or have been to the manor multiple times.

The manor is primarily run by Zero. Artemis tends to keep himself locked in his room. Adriel has a room in the Manor, as he’s staying with them temporarily with nowhere else to go and for protection.

ERIC. Master of the Manor, son of Artemis and the First Monster created. He has no heartbeat (since he ripped his heart out) but his earing chimes when he moves.

ZERO. The Housekeeper and Eric's created companion. He has an irregular heartbeat and a weak heart. He takes care of Eric, Artemis and the Manor itself. He's quite clumbsy.

ARTEMIS. Though it's unclear which form of him you might find there. God of Creation, Eric's father. Dislikes Zero, considers him a failed expreminent (he kind of is).

when you're angry, all your defenses go up. the unfortunate person or thing that managed to piss you off is suddenly talking to a wall. On the inside, you're screaming and crying and cussing them out, but somehow you can't express it. you're blank. emotionless. to anyone's knowledge, you could be zoning out of a lecture. because of this, it's hard to express how you're feeling when the person asks for your thoughts. you've choked your feelings down, and they won't come back up.

ᴘᴇʀꜱᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ

Being a fairly cheerful person he uses that to keep people feeling ‘relaxed’ around him so they will willingly follow him home. He likes cleaning and taking care of his ‘Master’ and feel bad for the days where he is to sick or tired to move and the house and his master end up not being tended to. Despite how comfortable be has grown in his own skin he still feels self-conscious about all the things ‘wrong’ with it and is afraid that because half his heart hates him he’ll end up being killed by it.

ʜɪꜱᴛᴏʀʏ

Zero was Eric’s first and only attempt at creating a person to live with him inside the manor. Zero didn’t turn out quite right considering he was Eric’s first attempt and on several occasions he nearly died. Since Eric can’t create full beings like Artemis, Zero was born missing several organs and things vital to human survival that needed to be scavenged from innocent people that ended up at the wrong place at the wrong time. His left eye (a bright red) was stolen from a nearby Vampire and a few of his organs were taken from a ghouls inside Yasahiro’s asylum. His right arm and left leg were scavenged from a traveler and half his heart was taken from a witch.

Despite all odds Zero did survive and has several stitching marks on his body from when Eric had to put him together like a puppet. He tends to wear bandages to hide all the marks along with long sleeved garments. He now, willingly, serves the manor as it’s caretaker and even lures in people to feed his master, despite the fact Eric doesn’t like that. Zero knows that if they let the blood lust run for to long it might not just be one innocent person that gets hurt.

Zero cares for his master greatly and is quite protective of the man, they've formed a bond born from years of being together and Zero feels a great deal of dedication to him. Zero tries his best to get Eric to open up, to let more people in, but attempts at it don't exactly work.

Because of all the organs and mix of blood running through his system Zero does have magic that is not his own. The witches magic isn’t overly fond of him so he tends to be unable to control it despite how hard he might try to. His left eye also allows him to see through a persons skin to their veins, bones and organs but doing so drains the ‘witches’ magic and makes him tired. He mostly tries to use the magic to keep the eye looking ‘normal’.

Due to half the heart not being his own and fightening against his body, Zero has both an irregular heartbeat and a weak heart. Emotional strain and physical exertion can cause him to have several problems and even pass out. Eric keeps a close monitor on Zero and his heart, often demanding he take days of rest.
