☆ summary: kate is very eager to do the ‘lipstick marks’ couples trend with you.

☆ note: this trend was so long ago but i thought it would be adorable with kate so here's this <3 ( also, i hate the way this ends so feel free to imagine literally any other ending )

“stop moving!” kate giggled, removing her lips from your cheek.

she was currently trying to place lipstick marks all over your face, so she could do that couples trend that had been all over her fyp.

every time she saw one of the videos she'd immediately send it to you, and after about 23 videos, plus an extra 14 messages of her begging for you two to do it, you finally caved and agreed.

so now, you were sat on her couch, with your back against the arm rest. she was hovering over you, a lipstick firmly held in her hands whilst she cupped your face gently.

“it tickles, you're kissing me way too fast.” her brows furrowed and her hands lifted off your face for a moment.

“no. there's no such thing as kissing too fast.” she smiled, making eye contact with you for a moment before placing her hand on your chin and leaning down to continue peppering kisses all over your face.

in only a short couple of minutes, your face was completely covered in lipstick marks.

“are you finally done?” you groaned as you threw your head back, earning an eye roll from kate.

in all honesty, you loved every moment of what was happening. every time kate leaned in to place a kiss on your face your mind went fuzzy and you had to fight with every bone in your body not to smile.

kate leaned back, looking at you as if she was admiring artwork, “okay, one more kiss left.”

you quickly grabbed the lipstick out of her hand, uncapping it so you could put the lipstick on her yourself.

after you'd finished putting it on, you threw the lipstick on the floor then quickly cupped her face and leaned in to kiss her.

you finally let yourself smile, and suddenly kate found herself smiling into the kiss too, even letting out a little giggle.

“and there's your smudge.” you whispered against her lips, pulling away a couple seconds later.

about nine minutes later, due to many failed attempts, the video was finished.

“oh, god. you look adorable,” kate was replaying said video for, what you counted to be, the seventh time now.

“says you—”

“nope. i wasnt finished. you look adorable, but that lipstick that is now broken on my floor? not so much. you owe me a new lipstick.”

“mhm. that's fair.”
