        TIMELINE OF EVENTS: MIRACULOUS AU

MK moves from Xi'an to Paris with his dad and transfers into Collège Françoise Dupont between the events of Glaciator & Despair Bear.

Attended Chloe's party in Despair Bear.

During the events of Queen Wasp, MK was not present, but saw what happened on TV.

For Heroes' Day, MK did a painting of Ladybug && Chat Noir, as well as planned to teach an art class to elementary schoolers as his good deed!

MK was not akumatized with the others && was with the group of Parisians that assisted Ladybug && Chat Noir.

He brought homemade Bao filled with veggies and potatoes (made with the help of his dad!) to the tasting that Marinette held in the park!

When Lila returned to school, MK sat in the back of the class with Marinette so that she wasn't sitting by herself. He believes most of Lila's lies, but otherwise does not join with ganging up on Marinette when she doubts Lila. By the end of Chameleon, MK sits by himself in the back of the class. This does not bother him!

Basically throughout season 3, MK coordinates with his best friend from home, Mei, to make a short trip back to Xi'an.

In Ladybug, MK doubts what Lila is saying for the first time - he doesn't believe for a minute that Marinette would steal test answers OR anyone else's belongings. He was one of the few who was not nearly akumatized when Marinette got expelled.

Before the events of Heart Hunter / Miracle Queen, MK left Paris for a few days to return to Xi'an. He returned with his other dad, Tang, in an attempt to resolve a huge argument his dads had before they moved to Paris.

When both of MK's dads get akumatized, Ladybug lends him the miraculous of the monkey to help save the day as Kid Monkey. Going forward, Marinette makes the decision to have MK replace Kim as the holder of the Monkey Miraculous.

During Strikeback, MK was present in the fight! He returned his miraculous as usual once he de-transformed. He was upset to learn about Shadow Moth obtaining all of the miraculous, but still believes in Ladybug && Chat Noir to make things right.

In Kwami's Choice, MK was selected by Tikki to be Ladybug's replacement after Alya declined, going by the name Buggy Kid. He was unfortunately found out by Monarch due to having an alliance ring.

When MK moved to Paris, he didn't really make any friends, preferring to keep to himself.

He became more and more closed off since things at home weren't really great; his dads had separated and he was having trouble getting them to work out their differences.

Okay, he has one (1) whole friend, and that friend is Lila, unfortunately.

This made him an excellent target for The Supreme; MK was recruited by Lila. He was given the miraculous of the Monkey. ( i'll work on a name for him pls be patient w me, i am slow !! )

He now works for The Supreme, though it doesn't always feel right. Still, he doesn't really have a choice now that he's involved.

Has definitely had to fight against the resistance.

I know this isn't super detailed, but i will come back to it !!

                    MIRACULOUS LADYBUG AU

MK and his dad moved to Paris; his dad (Shixing) opened a noodle shop there. They picked Paris because of the popularity of Chinese cuisine. MK also designed the logo for the noodle shop!

The name of the shop: Pigsy's Noodles (小猪的面条), was chosen as a way for Shixing to reclaim a horrible nickname he had growing up.

He helps out with the shop by delivering orders. He used to miss school occasionally to do this when the shop was new. Now that it's a little more established, he's not the only one doing deliveries.

His other dad, Tang, is a professor in Chinese Mythology, leaning heavily on Journey to the West. Due to this, MK has a lot of knowledge on these myths! He'll happily tell anyone who wants to know.

Tang did not initially come with them to Paris, due to a huge argument that he had with Shixing. Their relationship is now incredibly strained and MK is doing what he can to try and fix it.

MK can come off as kinda spacey and like he doesn't listen much as he's usually wearing his headphones. This is because he gets overstimulated very easily.

Had a really hard time making friends at first; he just wasn't sure how to talk to everyone.

Deffs got akumatized in the beginning because of it; his akumatized form was called Jammer. His music made everyone around him start fighting because if he couldn't make friends, no one would have friends. The akuma was hidden in his headphones and he was of course eventually defeated by Ladybug and Cat Noir.

He's doing much better now, a little more outspoken and chaotic than he was when he first arrived now that he's more comfortable with his peers.

Eventually holds the Monkey Miraculous, and goes by the name Kid Monkey. He replaces Kim because of the fact that his secret identity is not known by Shadow Moth and that puts them at an advantage!

Probably got re-akumatized a few times before getting the miraculous - he's a very emotional boy!!!

Most likely spends most of his free time at school in the art room doodling or painting. (I have a wip playlist for what he listens to when he is in there and focusing!)

MK speaks three languages: Mandarin, French and English!

When MK is doodling, it's usually flowers or scenery/ background drawings, but he can draw people really well. He's drawn most of his classmates at least once - usually gives them the drawing afterwards!

Plays a lot of video games in his free time out of school if he isn't wandering around Paris on his scooter. He makes a lot of effort to at least try and figure out his way around. Still gets lost almost all the time. He knows how to get to exactly three places from his home: The noodle shop, school and the Boulangerie Patisserie. He really likes baked goods!!!

I saw we were talking abt pokemon verses so !!! I don't have nicknames / actual backstory for his pokemon yet, like how he got 'em, BUT here is why i picked them!

Grookey: picked because MK absolutely needed a monkey on his team, but infernape felt WAY too on the nose, so i went with the sweet little grass monkey instead.

Smeargle: Can learn the move transform by painting it, so we have transform and a pokemon associated with art, it was practically made for MK!

Typhlosion: This pokemon can learn fire punch, which is super similar to the wukong flaming fist of fury! I also gave him this pokemon as a nod to gold from the pokemon manga - he's got a lot in common w mk, so i thought i was funny for that hehe

Hoothoot: Can see through illusions and works the same as gold vision.

Altaria: MK needed a bird and with it having a cloud design, it's a lot like monkey king's nimbus. Plus, the shiny version being gold, it fits the team aesthetically uwu

Mudkip: The baby pokemon who's final evolution is OP, but MK will never evolve it LOL. it's his little baby!
