born in incheon, sooyoung started ballet lessons at 7 years old but switched to general dance lessons pretty early on. she started dancing at various dance studios and was scouted by an orca agent around 2016. she then joins orca where she starts her vocal lessons while still attending school and regular dance classes. in 2018 she made her debut as a prism member.
