Poucas vezes Bill realmente se sentia irritado ou perdido por conta de sua deficiência. Mas fogos, bom, achava isso uma perda de tempo. Era a parte que mais detestava de comemorações assim. Não só porque não podia ver o tal espetáculo, mas era barulhento e causava aglomerações de gente distraída que parecia incapaz de perceber sua presença, por mais que pedisse licença.

Sem falar que isso perturbava as estrelas. Pelo menos, era o que ele imaginava.

E um Bill irritado, era um Bill que sentia a necessidade de descarregar esses sentimentos nas pessoas. Mas, como uma pessoa de classe e apreciadora dos bons costumes, disfarçadamente apenas tateava o chão com a bengala com mais afinco e força.

Até sabia para onde ia, mas era mais interessante acertar a canela dos outros com a bengala e se desculpar falsamente. Dor alheia era hilário!

E foi assim que bateu com vontade numa canela qualquer, segurando o riso para se desculpar.

Isso, ou talvez Glinda ainda estivesse rindo de tudo por conta da bebedeira da noite. "Bem, eu espero que me avise antes. Eu vou garantir que todos criem teorias macabras sobre o seu sumiço." Ela brincou também, recostando-se na mesa que antes havia jogado suas lágrimas. Observou os arredores da praia, soltando um suspiro ao notar que ainda havia muita gente para ser questionada pelos investigadores. "Será que deixam a gente sair da praia para dar uma volta em Elyseon? Não podem nos manter aqui... Eu já dei meu testemunho." Um que foi muito bem detalhado, à propósito!
