i was wondering how to approach this because choosing a single plant for all of humanity (or all of heaven) feels like oversimplifying things, so i'll try my best to draw out some vibes™.

humanity: small, stringed growths, creating little islands of vegetation among even the most barren wastelands. light bright hopeful sort of green, the one that screams naivity of early spring, but the leaves and stems grow to be almost wood-like, thick, resillient beyond their looks, beyond their small size. a bit like heathers, but more frail still. a bit like thyme, low upon the ground. their roots are rather shallow growing, but there's a great many of them. if you try to tear them out, you shall bring out a good chunk of soil with it, too. their blossoms are small but brightly colored. bell-shaped. collecting dew in the mornings. their scent gentle and strong when you brush your hand over them. periodically dying, and being born of a new season again.

heaven: trees. old growth forests, with networks of roots connected via mycelium. tall, as if touching the sky. creating a pleasant cool shade in a hot summer, with leaves that grow way out of your reach, as you stare up the trunks. the trunks are vulnerable. with hearts and letters cut into them. with bark overgrowing a weak spot like scar tissue. with birds striving to make space for life. with another mycelium creeping its way inside. with all the other trees still fighting to keep that one wounded vulnerable tree alive. creating space for life. providing shade where humanity and all the younger trees may prosper and grow strong in their own time, not burned by the sun, not rushed by the sudden overstimulation of starlight. long-living, slow-changing. witnesses to millenia.

since my brain has decided post work is time for writing i wanted to write some eel hcs before i go back to watching chapter 6. they are rlly close to their mom !!! as in they face-time her every other night, she's always keeping tabs on them to ascertain they're staying out of too much trouble !! and bc they dont visit often its nice to stay connected like that. floyd will talk in excess with her about the most mundane things , about class, about his class / dorm mates , about how much jade has annoyed him ;/ about how much they miss home. also !!! i really want to spend time elaborating on the reasoning behind the nicknaming of other's being a way to maintain severance between those he considers himself close to and those who are "friends" but not really. they're people he interacts with often ! people he knows but they don't really know him , nor are they particularly close. if floyd calls you by name it implies that you are someone important to him like jade or azul. it's also very big brain that if he ever was to be with sb after a while he would call them by their name, maybe with a kiss or smth and it would be a huge revelation of i actually care about this person and don't want to lose them.

Clarisse is scared of thunderstorms. It's a completely irrational fear, not impacted by any trauma or anything, she just can't stand the sounds of thunder. If there's a storm forecast you can expect her to hide inside, preferably with someone who can comfort her.

She is aware that it's irrational, that the chances of actually being hit by lightning are astronomically low, and it irritates her. She's aware it's a stupid fear !! She just can't help it !!

Dear lord fdhbgb I don't know? When Kai has a kink he will in fact explore that kink with whoever's interested. So there really isn't much ground left untouched when it comes to that that. I guess all I can really think of are kinks that put him in a submissive position since he tends to not be in one? Like pegging or being restrained or edged.

What are the top kinks that your muse enjoys? -

Choking (specifically him choking his partners, he has to be able to trust you a lot to let you do this to him), Fear kink because everyone knows exactly why this rat has one, Humiliation/Degradation (again, usually reserved for him doing to his partners instead of being on the receiving end himself, but it's not a hard no), Blood play, Knife/Gun play, Biting, Temperature play, and Voyeurism.

i realized i made a semi-mistake in that headcanon and feel the need to clarify:

the infection cannot be extracted from someone if both the infection and the person who is infected resists the extraction. it basically has to be like... ok i’m moving somewhere else.

the infection cannot be passed to someone without being let in and the infection choosing what ‘it’ decides is a suitable host. it is a powerful infection once infecting but cannot infect unless the infection is ‘let in’. so, its power is basically useless until the point of legitimate infection, which is why so few people actually get infected. so, as i said, weaker-willed people, people undergoing lots of mental or physical strain, those are people who are prime targets of infection.

which is also why i think that the infection chose michael, a six-year-old boy, because obviously... despite how smart six-year-old boys can be, obviously children would be more susceptible.

people who have the infection can overcome the infection, but will always be infected, even if it is dormant. receiving psychological help is a big part of this, but the person will always be susceptible to getting worse if mental tolls of the infection (i.e., the growing sadism and reduction of empathy that comes with it) are left unchecked.

aiyana doesn’t do friends. she doesn’t like people. she’s been alive since before the colonization of turtle island. she’s seen so many people she’s loved die and she just doesn’t like outliving her friends.

she can’t die. she’s the chosen protector of turtle island.

her shop abides by howl’s moving castle rules. she can relocate her shop quickly using the same if not similar magic.

she’ll often use plains cree in everyday conversation. translations will be available in tags when i write them.

aiyana is considered by both the canadian and united states governments as an eco-terrorist. she does not define herself as a villain. her villain status is 100% ascribed to her by the white people.

aiyana wears a necklace with a red jewel pendant that her grandmother made her. it’s a protection talisman that her grandmother made prior to her death.

aiyana is a mermaid and a siren. her mermaid-ness abides by h2o just add water rules (within 10 seconds of touching water she sprouts a tail). her mermaid form doesn’t take traditional mer-form. it’s similar to how a lot of art represents the inuit goddess, sedna. her tail is similar to an orca’s and the skin is similar to a sharks.

while aiyana can’t die, she can get injured. she has a lot of scars on her human body as well as her mer-body.

at least once a week, aiyana needs to submerge herself in some water (fresh or salt doesn’t matter; pools work too). if she doesn’t, her whole body will start to ache, her joints get stiff, and her skin looks ashy and dry.

aiyana has little webs in between her fingers. they’re super translucent and look almost holographic.

she likes to keep her nails quite long and uses them in combat since they’re not made out of keratin like human nails. the material is similar to stonefish spines and in her mer form, they’re also poisonous.

when she’s sad or missing home, star will just fly up to the moon and sit there. she likes to look at the earth and wonder what it’d be like if her parents could meet her friends

i blend teen titans and comic canon a little bit but starfire was never SAed. i do write that she was experimented on by the Citadel/Psions alongside her sister. She didn’t know her sister betrayed her and their people and she believes her sister to be dead.

she has a lot of scars on her torso and her arms. she covers them with her clothing most of the time and she sees them as her greatest shame because she couldn’t save her people, her family, or her sister.

the climate on Tamaran tends to run warmer than earth. as such, star is often very cold so she has a large collection of sweaters and jackets. her bed is a gigantic blanket nest.

jessica currently still has the ring of volthoom, the ring she had before her green lantern ring.

the ring of volthoom feeds off of jessica’s anxiety and agoraphobia. it’s currently making her very sick and wants her weak so it can use her and possess her.

jessica’s friends were murdered in october and happened three years ago.

jessica is a dreamer and her parents are mexican immigrants that settled in coast city. currently, jessica lives in portland.

mad maggie is a persona that maggie adopts. to her friends and loved ones, she’s margaret/maggie, but her protest persona is mad maggie and it’s the label that most news outlets and government officials ascribe her.

maggie is VERY muscular. she’s also fairly flat chested. she keeps her hair cut short so she can braid it.

before big protests, and if things get hairy, maggie performs war hak.

she’s an excellent cook. she feeds everyone. her home is just...a rotating door for people. it’s open to anyone and everyone that needs it, ESPECIALLY kids. when she moves to gotham, she uses cracked talon funds to buy a big house and she has several rooms for orphaned kids.

cracked talon is her ‘warband’. it’s similar to a gang. but she doesn’t have territory. she’ll dispatch her warband to different protests. she’s a HUGE activist

she also participates in illegal underground fighting rings. she uses her winnings to fund cracked talon.

she never went to university. she barely graduated high school. but she’s not dumb. she’s super fucking smart. academia just wasn’t it for her. she’s a natural born public speaker, an incredibly tactician, and she’s well versed in various forms of combat and firearms. she’s not illiterate but she has a hard time reading and writing.

when she was arrested in the states and at her trial, she got really mad at how the judge was treating her so she slammed her head down on the desk and knocked a tooth loose and proceeded to spit it at the judge :) she also tore out the throat of one of the guards at blackgate that was mistreating her and one of her friends.

she spent 20 years in prison.

𝐏𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐜 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡 ↳ This was one of her first abilities to develop and the hardest to get a hold on. It's triggered when she has skin to skin contact with someone so she keeps up a mental shield. If the shield slips, she gets flashes of memories/feelings/premonitions; it can be intense if she as unprepared for it and if it's her first time making contact. Bonnie can let down the shield and purposefully feel some ones emotions or even try to look through their mind for information.

She also gets certain feelings based on what the person is. (these are often first contact feelings she gets from them doesn't continue everytime she touches them. Once Bonnie has become familiar her psychic touch leans more towards emotions/memories) Humans are the least intense, emotions the person is feeling in the moment Witches warmth in her palms, feeling the amount of power they have Vampires cold, a twist in her stomach, Werewolves anger, her heart beat increases, jaw tenses Demons Uncomfortable heat spreads throughout her body, hairs raise on her arms, Angels Hairs raise on her arms, eyes feel like they are burning more to come...

Fun vampire lore piece of the day - Vampires do not need to eat ! Or blink. Or sleep, breathe or any of that fun stuff. They typically do, either from habit or enjoyment, although they will feel no ill effects from avoiding these behaviours. Human food will not sustain them - it's only purpose for a vampire is simple enjoyment, and contributing to the illusion of life.

Clarisse usually blinks and breathes out of habit of pretending to be human, though when startled or in full "vampire mode" these behaviours tend to stop. Despite not needing to, she does enjoy sleep (it's the closest to true death she can get) and she is easily irritated when her precious sleep time is taken from her.

She rarely eats, although if a companion has something they really want to share she may oblige with a few bites. She prefers sweet things.
