so on that topic about Anon not having a voicebank.

i’ve come to my own conclusions about how and why this happened. i think Flynn forgot. i've started playing the game and the cutscenes and gameplay gave me a little bit more insight to the subject.

The facts are:

-Flynn finished creating Anon some time before 1:40AM (the timestamp when he starts recording the video)

- Flynn installed Anon into the Grid some time after 4:12 AM when he ended the video

AND THIS IS ALL THAT WE KNOW ABOUT ANON’S CREATION.

Note that we see other system monitors are perfectly capable of speech, so it’s clear that Anon’s case is specific only to them.

my headcanon is that Flynn was too focused on writing their functions and adding new features to their monitor programming that he forgot to add audio output. by the time he was done at nearly 2am he was so eager to just talk about the issues plaguing him and the solution that he created for it that he forgot he missed one little thing and installed Anon in without realizing that he created a program that couldn’t talk.

i also like to think that Flynn was probably a bit sleep deprived by this time at 5am. god knows i make a lot of mistakes and oversights whenever i pull an all-nighter and it’s nearly time for the sun to rise.

idk how programming works though so i’m not 100% confident about this headcanon but i’m gonna run with it.

     Connor isn’t just all about dogs–yes, dogs are the favorite out of them, but he does love the others as well such as cats and bunnies. He noticed bunnies after going to a pet shop and seeing their little wiggling noses. Connor had to be dragged out of that pet shop for multiple reasons, namely wanting to adopt all of them.

_HEADCANON:

Cloud is pretty open to and interested in trying new things.

Again, he didn't have much of a normal life blah blah sad etc. Funny enough his time in the military was probably the only time he felt kinda normal, got to experience mundane life. He would've learned pretty quickly that being the tough guy picking fights was a bad idea and got to have some friends his age! Shared meals and joked around and learned card games and things to pass time.

He tries to blame it on the kids when he shows up with games or toys but truthfully he's kinda curious himself because he didn't have anyone to play with really when he was their age. It is still mostly for them but if he has free time he never says no if they ask him to join.

He's always down to try new food or drinks. He takes things apart and puts them back together. It's way too easy to get him stuck in finger traps.

Giving him attention is the first step. He is attracted to soft people who treat him well, who dote on him and make him feel important and needed. ⊗ : What is something that causes them to question themselves?

Ilhoon is very insecure despite not showing it often. He doubts every decision he wants to make before he makes them and says he is never sure about anything although he has made some extremely difficult decisions. He overthinks all the time, wonders about the what if’s, questions everything he is because he doesn’t think he is enough - ever. He is also very critic of himself be it with his art or with the way he lives his life. Him questioning his talent is a constant thing, always doubting he can do good or that he has the talent that some say he has. When something doesn’t go according to plan, he throws it away and starts from scratch no matter what others tell him and the same for his personal life. He does mostly of what he knows it’s right, but is never truly happy about it because he feels like in the end he always loses.
