Who: Open for anyone
Where: Sunrise Diner
After picking up an extra shift for one of her co-workers, Phoebe was beginning to regret it. Not only had there been a constant rush of people flowing in, but she had already broken down into tears thanks to some asshole who yelled at her for forgetting to get him the refill he asked for. On top of that, he barely even left her a tip. She managed to sneak off into the back to let her emotions out and calm down. It wasn’t until a co-worker notified her a new table had been seated in her section that she wiped her tear stained cheeks and bravely strutted back out into the dining room. “What can I get you guys started with?” She asked, trying her best to put on a fake smile.

"Looks like we're both in the same boat," she replied with a polite giggle. She glanced towards the shelf and spotted just the book she had come in for. "This one," she said as she held up a book titled One of Us is Next. "I just finished the first one and once I realized there was a sequel, I rushed down here to get my hands on it."
"Same," Isabelle responded easily. "Just finished a book so I needed to grab another," she explained before she glanced down at the novel in her hands. "I think it will be," she said with a soft smile. "Looks like it'll be a page turner," she told Phoebe. "What book are you on the hunt for?" she asked curiously.

open starter for everyone
where: Supernova at the Single's Mixer
There was nothing like a red dress and some heels to make a girl feel confident. Phoebe strutted through the doors of Supernova with one main goal in mind, which was to dance the night away. After a quick stop at the bar to order a drink special, the blonde shimmied her way through the crowd and toward the dance floor. She found a small opening that allowed her enough space to dance on her own. She got lost in the music, so much so that she didn't notice the person who filled the space next to her. The drink in Phoebe's hand splashed over the rim of the glass as her hand collided with the person. "Shit, I'm so sorry!" Phoebe profusely apologized. "Please tell me it didn't get on you or ruin your outfit or anything."

closed starter for @blissfullyalice
where: la boutique, downtown
With shopping bags draped on both of her arms, Phoebe strutted through the streets of downtown. It was apparent she had a successful shopping day at the dozens of stores that filled the space within Avenue 20. After a few months of saving up, she told herself she deserved to splurge and treat herself to something. That treat came in the form of a gorgeous baby pink matching handbag and wallet from Coach. Since her credit card had been getting a workout for the day, Phoebe couldn't resist the magnetic pull through the doors of La Boutique. Within minutes, her arms were filled with a few sundresses, jeans, and cute tops, which she immediately took to the nearest fitting room. She decided to start with the dresses, choosing a spaghetti-strap black dress with small sunflowers scattered around in a pattern. She gazed at her reflection in the mirror, not one-hundred percent sure if she was in love with the dress. Her head peeked out of the fitting room and spotted a familiar face. "Alice!," she called out to get her attention. "I need your opinion on this dress. What do you think?" The blonde spun around in a slow circle, showing off all angles of the dress for an honest opinion.

Anyone with eyes could see how gorgeous Frankie was. Phoebe had been with girls in the past but never managed to really stay friends with any of them. Frankie was different. The two of them clicked in more ways than one, making her an essential part of Phoebe's life. Phoebe had been born the same year the song came out, meaning she discovered it way past its prime time in pop culture. Phoebe's doe eyes gazed at Frankie as she hit the nail on the head with that description. Anyone who knew Phoebe knew that she didn't mind being the center of attention when it came to things like this. "You're not wrong about that. All eyes will be on me during this performance. Just you watch." She flashed a flirty wink before singing the opening line of the song.
"I feel like I've been locked up tight for a century of lonely nights. Waiting for someone to release me."
Admittedly, it was a little hard to focus, between the champagne clouding her brain and the dress that Phoebe was wearing--they were friends, mostly, except for the rare occasions where they were something just a little more than so. It wasn't one of those occasions now, but the night was young, and so were they. "Mhm, other than you having a great taste in 90's icons?" Even if they'd both been too young to enjoy that song in its prime. Frankie shrugged her shoulders, leaning back in her seat to fully address the other. "I think it's saying...you want all eyes on you. You want to draw people in...be the center of attention." A feeling Frankie recognized well, and one she was more than willing to play into.

“As completely warranted as that would be,” Danny grins, pocketing his phone, “I don’t think you gotta worry about it. You’re gonna get sick of me.” She’s got the kind of big doe eyes that make him feel all off his guard, and it’s like he’s fifteen again trying to find his footing with girls. He gestures with his head toward the doors leading out onto the heated patio and the fire pits, where it’ll be a little quieter and slightly more intimate. “Come outside with me? I’ve got a joint I might be willing to share.”
Phoebe couldn’t help how her heart fluttered in her chest just from locking her eyes with his. He seemed different from other guys, more genuine. “I highly doubt that. Though you may get sick of me at some point.” She meant it as a joke, though there was still some truth to her words since everyone eventually got tired of her. “You don’t have to ask me twice.” She grabbed his hand and intertwined their fingers together as she followed his lead to the fire pit.

Phoebe bites at her bottom lip as her doe eyes follow his every movement. Ironically, butterflies were bursting inside her as he gently grazed her tattoo. "Really? I never really had much pain with it at all. But then again, I had a pretty great distraction while getting it done." The smile on her face is a permanent feature at this point. "I would have thought as a tattoo artist, you'd be used to the pain by now. If you ever need someone to hold your hand and offer support whenever you get your next tattoo, you know where to find me."
Danny blinks in surprise when she lifts up her dress, the joint burning away unnoticed between thumb and index finger, and he laughs, shaking his head, before saying, "Yeah, that looks...yeah. Looks really good." With a little smirk, he reaches out and rubs his thumb gently across it to feel the scab, then pulls her hand away from the dress so it falls back down. "Nice job, that's a super uncomfortable spot to deal with when it's healing, too. You've gotta have a high pain tolerance, I'm, like, the biggest pussy about it when I get new ones."

Phoebe closed her eyes, lingering on the feeling of being so close to him. She opened her eyes and looked up at him. The butterflies were already swirling around in her stomach. "I think there's a part of me that is always going to love you," Phoebe admitted. Her lips melted with his. She felt herself get lost in the familiar feeling of Jaxson's lips on hers. "You sure this isn't just the alcohol talking?"
phoebebaker:
A breath caught in Phoebe’s throat as she took in the words coming from his lips. The alcohol had definitely reached her bloodstream by now. She could tell from the hazy feeling in her head. But then again, maybe that was just a side effect of being in Jaxson’s presence. Her hands snaked around his neck and her fingers softly played with his hair. “You still love me?” There was a hint of hope in her big doe eyes for a moment. Her thoughts shifted back toward the reason they broke up in the first place. “You don’t think I’m too desperate or clingy?”
Jaxson pressed his forehead against hers as he inhaled her sweet scent.” Yeah, I love you.” He admitted and it was nothing but the truth, There’s no possible way he could lie to her right now either, Whiskey was truth serum.” Do you still love me?” He asked and Pressed his lips against hers. “ No baby, I don’t think that you are.” She was clingy but far from desperate.

As soon as the woman speaks warmly and calmly, Phoebe lets out a breath she hadn't realized she had been holding. With the day she's been having, part of her had expected to come face to face with another Karen in the wild. She spreads her lips into a more relaxed smile. "Let me know if you have any questions or anything. I'll be right back with your water." Phoebe scurries off to another table of hers, who is just paying their bill and getting ready to leave. She slips into the back and quickly returns to the nice woman's table with her water. "Have you decided on anything yet? The Belgian waffle topped with strawberries is my favorite if that helps." She feels much more at ease than she had with her last customer.
Her lunch break arrives early, so Bekah peels off to a frequent haunt where she knows she can at least grab something with a little sustenance and grease to carry her over to the end of the shift. Her waitress approaches after a few minutes of studying the menu that hasn't changed in ages, and when Bekah looks up, she can immediately sense something's off. It's in the way the girl carries herself, she thinks, but she tries not to wear it on her face that she can tell. She feels for her — she remembers the days when she was the one having a day on the clock. Bekah offers her a small smile. "Just a water to start," she says warmly. "No rush. Take your time." With her free hand, she points to the menu. "I've still gotta look this over."

She swiped at her cheek to rid of any stray tear stains. “It’s just been a long day,” she sighed. “As long as you don’t yell at me and make me cry like my last customer, I should be fine.” After all, she only had another couple hours of her shift to get through. “Please go ahead with your cheese fry related question. I’m all ears.”
With the laminated menu in hand, Silas couldn't help but billow the singular sheet, undeniably amused by the sound it made. His amusement was welcomely interrupted by his waitress, the index finger of his right tattooed hand about to point to the cheese fries and ask about adding bacon to it when a quick glance at her made him raise an eyebrow.
"I had a cheese fry related question but now I'm rethinking it, are you good?"

Phoebe had only one book in mind when she walked into the store, but it never hurt to browse around a little bit more. It was always a nice surprise to run into a friendly face, especially Isabelle's. "I'm good. Just browsing around looking for the next book in the series I'm reading. How about you?" She nodded in the direction of the books the other woman was holding. "Reading anything interesting?"
Reading over the inside flap of the book Isabelle grew very interested. A mystery, a romance, and a suspense novel all in one? She was practically salivating as she began to flip through the pages, trying to see how many chapters there were only to realize that the chapters were out of order. "Oh," she whispered to herself, even more interested now. This was the same author who'd written We Were Liars and she'd learned that E. Lockhart never missed. This was a definitely purchase. With that solidified, she thought maybe she could grab one more as she felt she was going to fly through this read when she heard a familiar voice. Looking up slowly, Isabelle spotted the blonde and she beamed. "Hey Phoebe! How are you?"

Reading had always been a pastime that fluctuated with Phoebe. She would go from not touching a book for months, to suddenly being in the mood to read and being invested in some series. At the moment, it was the latter. She had just finished up One Of Us Is Lying and needed to get her hands on the sequel as soon as possible. Bookmarked seemed like her best bet at finding what she was looking for. As she searched the shelves her eyes spotted a familiar presence. "Hey you," she greeted with a bright smile.
who: open to all location: Bookmarked
The more Isabelle got acquainted with her new surroundings, the more confident she felt in venturing out into the world and today was no different as she walked into the bookstore. In her downtime, she was a bit of a reader, and she had just finished We Were Liars and needed something new to sink her teeth into. Inhaling the faint vanilla scent from the books, she let out a deep sigh as she found her way to the fiction section. She was a romance, mystery, sci-fi kind of girl, though she didn't mind the occasional celebrity biography as well. Studying the selection, she pulled out what looked to be promising, Genuine Fraud.

Phoebe took a deep breath and stayed quiet for a few moments as her thoughts ran wild. Being in this state of mind probably wasn’t the best time to have this type of conversation. Especially since part of her wanted to keep kissing him and continue staying lost in the moment. “I don’t think getting back together right now is a good idea,” she softly spoke as her doe eyes locked on him. She pulled back and sat upright, turning her body to face him. “I’m glad you’re going to therapy and working on yourself.” It was all she had ever wanted for him, especially since she had seen how dark a place he had been in after he lost his mother. “I just don’t want to get hurt again,” she spoke honestly.
jaxandersonrp:
“Tell me what you want, Do you want to get back together? I really do miss you.” His hands caressing her sides, He looked into her eyes.”Use your words and tell me what you want. If you don’t want to get back together that’s okay too, This can be no strings attached.” He wanted to make her as comfortable as possible. “I’m fine with whatever you choose. Just know one thing i’m working on trying to be more emotionally available. I’m even going to therapy for it.”
