Only a few days have passed since Wanda startled you awake by her revelation, but ever since then the Sokovian has been non-stop preparing. She's ordered nearly every book Amazon had about the early stages of pregnancy and has already begun to make a wishlist for everything the nursery must have as well as throwing in a few wants that she found adorable. 

   And just yesterday the three of you had gone shopping for maternity clothes for her. She couldn’t help but purchase shirts for each of you while there however. Now finding matching shirts for a throuple that's about to have a child would usually be a rather hard thing, but the good news is that the three of you have a sense of humor. Thats how Nat finds herself the proud owner of a “Baby Daddy” shirt, while Wanda has a “Baby Mama” shirt, and you find yourself owning a lovely “Babys Favorite” shirt. 

   Today however Wanda's focus is set on finding the absolute best doctor in the area for her and the baby. She's been awake for a few hours now, her need to pee forcing her from slumber even earlier than Nat used to get up for her workouts and she finds her mix of excitement and nervousness prevents her from falling back to sleep. So she's spent her time typing away on her phone as she sits between you and Natasha on the bed. 

  Natasha is cuddled close, her face pressed against the witch's side while her arm drapes protectively over Wandas belly and her hand resting on the small of your back. You're splayed out on Wandas other side, arms wrapped around your pillow as you nuzzle further into it. 

   She chuckles, and brings her free hand down to the redhead's face. She softly strokes Natashas cheek with her thumb before moving to massage the woman's scalp. The Russian softly mumbles, showing her appreciation for the affection even in her sleep.

   “Wan?” your sleepy voice suddenly calls out, clearly confused as to why your Sokovian girlfriend was awake this early. Especially when your Russian girlfriend was not, “You ok?”

   “I’m fine detka(baby), just a bit restless is all.” she eases your worries with a smile before setting her phone down, bringing her now free hand to grab one of yours

   A moment of silence passes, long enough for her to think you’d fallen back asleep, before you speak again, “Tasha still asleep?”

   “Mhm, out cold still.”

   You shift around a bit, stretching to wake yourself up before sitting up like Wanda was. She expects you to scoot closer to her and wrap your arm around her, your usual routine upon waking up. But instead you swing your legs over the side of the bed and stand with a grunt.

   “Where are you heading?” the Sokovian asks, an adorable look of confusion on her face

   “Gonna go make us all breakfast” you happily reply, eager to take advantage of the assassins unusual decision to sleep in, “How do you feel about waffles?”

   She smiles, “With chocolate chips?”

   “Of course my love” you reply, leaning over to give her a quick peck on the lips before leaving the room 

   Your time in the kitchen is spent listening to your favorite playlist at a low volume while you whip up some waffles. You made two for each of you, loading them up with enough chocolate chips to satisfy your pregnant girlfriend while also making your dentist shudder. Then you topped them off with butter, syrup, a dollop of whipped cream and a sliced up strawberry. 

   After gathering everything on a tray you headed back to the bedroom. Upon entering Natashas snores fill the air, causing you to stifle a laugh. You’d always found it cute how she would adamantly deny her snoring when confronted with it, yet at times she’d sound like a growling bear. How appropriate, you mused, as she was now a soon to be mother and you knew without a doubt she would protect them like a mother bear did her cubs.

   “Tasha, darling” Wanda calls out, gently shaking the sleeping womans shoulder. Nat groans and tries to bury her face further into Wandas side and the Witch lets out a laugh, “Come on, wake up. Y/n made breakfast”

   The Russian groggily sits up and rubs her eyes, which you smile at. Never did you think an assassin could be adorable, but Nat always proved you wrong. Finally she looks up at you and gives you a sleepy smile

  “Mornin’ ”

  “Good morning sleepy head. Would you like some waffles?”

   A mixture of emotions fills her at your offer. She hadn’t realized it but due to her early morning routine of workouts and personal time she hasn’t shared many breakfasts with you both since your returns yet. So mostly she's just had a bowl of cereal, a bagel, or one of Wandas many specialties. Meaning she hasn't had your waffles, or anything of your making since….well since before they went back in time to save you. 

  She hadn’t realized how loud her thoughts about this were until she feels one of the other redheads arms wrap around her waist. She gives the older woman a knowing look and nods her head before they both look back at your still smiling face.

   “I’d love some waffles” she replies, reaching out for her plate. You hand it to her, then hand Wanda hers before taking your spot on the bed with your own. After a few moments Nat takes a bite, “Mmm, still the best waffles ever”

   You smile wide at her praise, “Thanks babe, I’m really glad you guys like them”

   Wanda shakes her head, “We love them detke(baby)”

   Too hungry to carry on a conversation, the three of you finish up your meals in silence. And despite you telling her to remain in bed, Wanda insists on helping you carry everything back out to the kitchen. Nat follows you both out, adamant that she’ll do the dished since you had cooked and Wanda was pregnant. 

   “You guys know that just because I’m pregnant now, doesn’t mean I can’t do small things around the house, right?”

   “We know sweetheart” you reply, smiling at her, “And I’m sure eventually we’ll ease up a bit, but right now we’re in protective mode”

  The Russian nods in agreement, “We just want to take care of you lyubov'(love)”

   “I know” the Sokovian replies, kissing each of you on the cheek, “Just don’t spoil me too much”

   “No promises” you tell her as the three of you head into the living room for a day of leisure.

   A few hours later, the three of you are curled up on the sofa, watching tv as Wanda is back on her phone looking for doctors. 

   “I think I finally found one. She's close by and all of her patients have really nice things to say about her.”

   Nat leans over to look at the phone, “Well, if you like how she sounds, why don’t we set up an appointment? See if she's a good fit.”

   You nod in agreement, so Wanda does just that and sets up an appointment for the following week. After confirming the appointment she switches to her phone's pregnancy app. She enjoys all of the information it tells you, from the size of the baby to other information

  “Oh!” she excitedly exclaims, looking at one of the facts on her phone

   Natashas head snaps to the woman, “What? What is it? Are you ok?”

   You chuckle as the Russian frets, “Nat, calm down. She's right here, nothings happened”

   “Right, sorry lyubov'(love)”

   “It's alright honey, you're allowed to worry” Wanda tells her, kissing her cheek, “But I am fine. I was just excited by what the app says”

   You both look at her expectantly, waiting to hear whatever news the app holds that managed to excite her so much

   “It says here that by the time I see the doctor, we should be able to get told the sex of our baby”

   Natashas eyes light up and her hand instinctively reaches out to rest on Wandas bump, “Really?”

   She nods and you smile wide, “I guess that means we should start discussing names then, huh?”

   A few days later the only progress made on names was the agreement that your baby wouldn’t be named after a team member.

   “Claire?” you offer, going down the list of baby girl names on your phone

   Wanda shakes her head, “No, it's too common. No offense malysh(baby)”

   “None taken” you reply, looking over to Nat in the hopes that she has a better idea

   “What about Katerina?” 

   Wandas face lights up, “Oh Natasha, I love it! It’s beautiful!”

   “I love it too” you admit, closing the tab of ideas on your phone

   Your pregnant girlfriend's face suddenly looks thoughtful once more though, “But what if we’re having a boy?”

    “William”

   You and Natasha say in unison before glaring at each other. The witch, knowing she was in for an argument, lets out a huff and decides to let the two of you duke it out. For now at least.

   Wanda had thought the two of you would have come to an agreement by now. She had even given them other name options in the hopes of finding some common ground, but unfortunately nothing has changed. Natasha was still firm with her choice of Thomas and you were still firm with your choice of William.

   “Please my loves” Wanda pleads, resting her hand on her bump in the cars passenger seat, “Lets just go to this appointment without any fuss and spend the rest of the day enjoying ourselves. I mean, we might not even need to choose a boys name”

   You smile at her, and agree that you and Nat had taken things a bit too far with the name debate, “Of course sweetheart. Name picking can wait for a bit, right Nat?”

   The Russians focused and furrowed brow softens as she glances at you in the rearview mirror and she reaches out to give Wandas free hand a reassuring squeeze, “Of course it can wait. All that matters right now is making sure you and the baby are safe and healthy.”

   Anxiety and excitement fills the three of you as you enter the exam room, and though the doctor is a little confused on the dynamic of a three person relationship with a pregnancy involved she doesn’t question it. After all it's abundantly clear the love the three of you share, and happiness is practically rolling off all of you.

   The doctor begins the normal examination to ensure all are healthy, and she gives Wanda a small reprimand for waiting so long to see a doctor. Of course she sits there and agrees she should have come sooner, because who would believe her if she said ‘oh, well I actually became four months pregnant only about two weeks ago due to my magical abilities’. Avenger or not, she'd probably find herself in the looney bin for saying such a thing. Even if it was the truth.

   After ensuring Wanda herself is as healthy as can be, she moves to get the ultrasound equipment ready to check on the baby. When she brings it all back over and begins to get the witch ready you can’t help but wonder if anyone else in the room can hear your excited heartbeat, or if it's only your ears it's drumming in.

   Natasha takes a deep breath to steady herself, she hasn’t really let herself dwell on the fact that she's obtaining what she never thought possible. Motherhood. But now that she's finally going to be able to not just feel, but see her baby too….she's struggling to contain her emotions

   And as the picture lights up the screen all three of your faces light up in wonder. There, on the screen is the image of two little babies. 

   “Well, looks like I was right. The two of you won’t have to decide on a name” Wanda says, caressing her stomach, “Hi there Tommy and Billy. We’re your moms”

I wanted give Fairie Garden a follow-up post to show her in better lighting than she got last night. Here she is with a little forest friend (Zelfs 'Birchy'):

I know she's a bit fish-eyed, but I've decided she's just looking at magical things the rest of use can't see XD

And here she is sans fidget features. Turns out there's an honest to goodness fashion doll beneath all that slow-rise foam! With extremely nice quality nylon hair, no less. I popped an old Barbie skirt I thought would look cute on over her top. I probably won't display her this way--I think the fidgets are part of her charm--but it's nice to have the option.

FG is similar in size to Rainbow High dolls, but there are a lot of differences in their various proportions. I haven't tried to see if they can share clothing.

This doll has been haunting my wishlist for months. I began to be anxious I wouldn't be able to acquire her after hearing the Fidgie Friends brand was discontinued, but yesterday when I noticed she'd been marked down to $9.98 on both Amazon and Walmart, I knew it was time. I'm so glad she's finally here!

Although I'm all in favor of the concept behind Fidgie Friends --combining sensory toys with dolls is a brilliant idea--in general I find their largely food-based designs extremely unappealing. I have a lot of autism-y food texture issues that make even non-edible food shaped toys a bit triggering for me. But I love fairies, and mushrooms, and although I suppose mushrooms technically can count as food, Amanita muscaria in particular most definitely does not, so for whatever reason in this instance my weird brain does not object.

All of which is to say--I know these might initially be considered odd, even off-putting dolls, especially for fashion dolls, but I think they are delightfully unique and worth at least taking a look at before they're gone for good. Fairie Garden is such a fun, quirky addition to my collection, I honestly think I'd regret it if I'd missed her.

Lastly! before I wrap up this already overly-long post, I wanted to include this extremely thorough review of FG that xCanadensis posted last fall, which was the inception point for my interest in this doll.

SOMEWHERE, BEFORE JULIET :

everything was perfect in the beginning. your relationship with your fiancé, victor, was like paradise and you thought that nothing could ruin it. he was definitely the one.

he was extremely romantic, passionate and caring. he always made sure to pay attention to you and tried his best to make you feel wanted and loved.

until that dreadful day came by.

« my love, i am home! » you shouted as you entered your shared apartment, taking off your shoes by the door. you looked up and with no response from him, you decided to quietly enter the house, looking around in hopes to find your lover.

to no avail, you almost give up thinking that he might be caught up with work.

victor was an amazing chef and for the past few months, he had been working on the preparations for his first ever restaurant’s grand opening. you were more than thrilled for him, seeing how exciting it was for victor to finally make his dream come true.

truth be told that this phase of his life made your relationship more troubled than usual. he was now more focused on his work which made your alone time the perfect occasion for fighting, his phone constantly ringing from sponsors eager to talk to him, inviting him to all kinds of wine-tasting events at the most luxurious places that separated you two for weeks. that somewhat made your relationship colder as the time went by, leaving you with a sad heart.

finally leaving your apartment entrance behind, you hear whispered mumbles coming from your shared bedroom as soon as you enter the main corridor.

« well, that’s weird .. » you whisper to yourself, believing that you were home alone. was someone in your bedroom? or better yet, was your fiancé with someone in your bedroom? .. that couldn’t be. he didn’t reply to you just now so he obviously wasn’t home. right?

scared and confused, expecting the worst, your hands were shaking as they reached to the door’s knob, turning it slowly.

the worst had happened.

your heart dropped to the sight of your fiancé ( or better yet, ex-fiancé ) laying in bed with another woman. he tried his best to hide her under the duvet but with little to no success. you had already seen her.

all those moments, memories, fights, kisses … everything came to an end and how hurtful your freedom was. as soon as he looks up at you with the eyes of regret and tears start falling slowly down your cheeks, you run off the apartment and decide that you are leaving his life for good.

VERONA, DURING JULIET :

a year since you found out.

you left everything behind without a second thought, calling off the engagement, with much shock from victor’s family. they didn’t know the full story, and as much as you hated victor, you didn’t want to ruin everything for him. at least, not right now.

still, not wanting all the wedding preparations to fully go to waste, you took the honeymoon tickets and departed to your destination, verona, with much encouragement from your family and ex-fiancé.

« maybe some time away from each other was the best for us. it was time to call it quits. »

his text message was right. he was right. it was time for a brand-new start.

this time, in italy.

wandering through the streets of verona, your legs were taking you somewhere : la casa di giulietta, the famous balcony where juliet was wooed by her sweet romeo, or at least, that’s what shakespeare wrote.

it was one of the places on your enormous sigh-seeing wishlist for you 2 week stay at the city. you knew that if you were here with victor, he would be too busy to enjoy this moment with you, and with that, your mind travelled back to your unfortunate love life.

maybe juliet’s love magic was all that you needed for you to find your very own romeo, after all that had happened. one last bit of hope from you to love.

a big rustic brown sign with the words " La Casa de Giulietta “ engraved onto it signaled you that you had arrived to your destination.

passing the big entrance gate, you could see : so many romantically-hopeless women, some crying, some laughing, with all kinds of struggles and passions, doing the exact same thing. writing, hoping, confiding to their last resort, juliet, in hopes for a better love.

in front of them, a big brick wall stood firmly with a bunch of different papers and letters, of all colors and shapes stuck to it. all of them with the same loving intent.

the sight made your heart soften, and inspired you to do the same as the other women as you quietly sat down on a wooden-bench laying in the middle of the area. it was now your turn to ask for juliet’s help.

you sat there, not knowing exactly for how long. your mind wandering to all kinds of things you could say to juliet, begging for her to help you, to give you your perfect romance.

the sun light gradually being less and less strong signaled you that maybe it was time to return to your hotel and so, you decided to do exactly that. however, with an empty letter, which made you loose a little bit of hope.

packing all your belongings back into your bag with an heavy heart as you prepare yourself to leave, you hear heavy footsteps sounding from the entrance.

looking up out of pure curiosity, you see a figure emerging from the shadows and walking towards you. the dark pair of sunglasses sitting on their face, the dark cap on top of their head and the dimmed sun light made it harder for you to decipher who it was, making it a bit creepy looking, which startled you.

suddenly feeling uncomfortable, you decided to leave as fast as you could before the maybe-dangerous stranger could even think of doing something to you.

« i’m sorry if i startled you! don’t worry, it’s not what you’re thinking. » the somewhat intruder rapidly apologized as he noticed how uncomfortably you stood up and with a quick smile, he turned his back onto you, before stopping to face the brick wall. you noticed how his voice had a nice accent to it, definitely foreign.

his hands reached to the top of his head, taking his cap and sunglasses off and quickly messing with his hair. you admired how fluffy his hair appeared to be, colored with a nice hue of chocolate brown.

still watching him, you saw his hand reaching to one of the pockets of his jacket, before taking out a neatly folded yellow-colored post-it and placing it on a crack in the wall.

« are you also writing to juliet? » you questioned softly now moving besides him. the stranger, thinking that you had already left, jumped while one of his hands reached his chest, trying to calm his heart. « oh, i’m sorry! i didn’t mean to startle you! » you quickly apologized, frantically waving your hands in front of him.

« no no, it’s okay! i guess that’s my karma for scaring you earlier. » he chuckled softly to your antics, throwing a quick smile at you. his wide eyes had now relaxed and he seemed more at ease. you could finally see his face properly, noticing his green eyes watching you attentively. he’s quite pretty, you thought. « and to answer your question, yes, i am writing to juliet. » he replied, a hint of proudness in his tone.

« oh, i didn’t know men could also write to her .. » you mumbled to yourself, making him laugh sweetly.

« yeah, i’m not sure if i can do it either but hopefully she will help me either way. » he quickly shrugged, now facing the wall in front of both of you, reading some of the little cards with a soft smile on his lips.

« i didn’t meant it like that, i’m sorry! i’m just genuinely surprised. » you nervously said, now also looking at the wall, slightly embarrassed. why are you suddenly so nervous around this stranger? is it his eyes? you thought to yourself.

« it’s okay, i didn’t take it like that. » the man reassured, looking back at you briefly with the smile still plastered on his face. he seemed to stop for a while, thinking about something. a smirk appeared on his face, which made you look at him with a frown while softly asking what? « we should really stop apologizing to each other, you know. »

your frown slowly disappears as you both fall into soft giggles while you shake your head, nodding in agreement.

« yeah, we really should. »

« i’m charles, by the way. » he greeted warmly, throwing a sweet smile at you.

« nice to meet you, charles. i’m Y/N. » you replied now looking at him, locking both of your gazes.

« now, that’s a beautiful name. »

IN LOVE, AFTER JULIET :

it was now afternoon as your “ honeymoon ” came to an end.

the past month had been nothing but magical. and if you said that to charles, he would happily say that it was all because of him.

you got to know him a lot better during your vacation, easily getting along after your first encounter at juliet’s house. he took you on all kinds of adventures around the city and you found out he was quite familiar with the town, as well as some other provinces in italy.

he later told you about his job in formula one with ferrari, about his life in monaco, all kinds of funny stories from his childhood, all the crazy challenges with his teammate carlos … and all about his past.

you hugged, you cried, you laughed.

you bonded.

bonded over some ice cream, booping each other’s nose with the sweet icy treat as soft giggles came out of your mouths. the thought of that memory alone made you smile as you softly touched your nose with the tip of your fingers.

bonded during those late night-walks outside your hotel, to which he would walk to every late afternoon just to offer you dinner. the thought of those memories made charles’ feet hurt but it was all worth it.

bonded while watching the stars, laying on the grass from your hotel’s park. hands resting against each other, both of you blushing as they brushed a bit closer.

all those special moments, connecting like dots in your mind to give you the clarification that you needed: you were falling in love again. and this time, charles was the lucky guy.

you quickly got out of your thoughts as you heard knocking on your door. a smile spread through your face, knowing exactly who it was.

preparing yourself to greet charles goodnight as you opened your room’s door, you quickly got interrupted by an enthusiastic giggle.

« i got a letter back! » he excitedly exclaimed, holding up a white envelope for you to see. you could clearly read the word “juliet” on the front of the envelope, and the sight made your heart warm.

« from juliet, i suppose? » you asked with a soft laugh as you saw the happy man entering your room, while doing some kind of weird dance.

« oui. and i want you to read it! » he said, as he extended his arm in front of you. you frowned, taking the letter from his hand while glancing at him.

« are you sure? after all, this is your letter. » he only nodded in agreement as he gave you a warm smile. you gave in, mumbling a small okay as you opened the envelope.

“ dear Y/N,

this is charles. i’m sorry for disappointing you, as i’m sure that you were expecting a letter from juliet.

the truth is, this past month that we spent together was beautiful and i believe that juliet meant for us to meet. all those moments and all these feelings bottling up, waiting for the right time to tell you everything.

with you leaving so soon, i couldn’t have let you go without trying.

please, be the juliet to this pleading romeo. (with less drama and more love, of course.)

reading the letter over and over again, you couldn’t help but feel confused. all those words echoing in your head, making your heart beat faster. did charles really mean all of it? maybe juliet could help you.

charles looked at you with an hesitant expression, slowly feeling more and more scared of your rejection. maybe he took the signs too far. maybe juliet couldn’t help him.

with each second ticking, you finally made your decision.

quickly mumbling a fuck it under your breath, you cup charles’ face with your hands and pull him into a kiss.

all of those unsaid words, everything being as clear as a confirmation for both of you that the love there was real.

charles’s “ grazie, giulietta. ” made you smile against his lips.

I also grabbed the first volume of 7SEEDS, since all the publishers in the US are too scared to publish masterpieces these days. 🤔🤔 Speaking of Yumi Tamura, the Kaleidoscope collection was on my wishlist! 🥰✨

I wasn't able to find the official Akatsuki no Yona art book, but my sister pointed me towards the 2021 calendar that was made to celebrate volume 34...close enough! ☺️💖

thoughts on the tdp s6 leaks

aaravos is alone in a space with a galaxy sky, mountains, and a pool of water reflecting everything perfectly.

so theory 1 is that this place used to be a civilization before this star fell

and aaravos maybe befriended the people there. maybe they got out of line, out of what was supposed to be the natural order so the startouch elves in charge eradicated them all.

aaravos is devastated, and that wide shot is intending to show how painfully alone he now is, when the other startouch elf “beams in” to existence to comfort him with something he takes to heart.

but in this context saying something like that doesn’t really seem that comforting?

but he does take it to heart then, committing as many war crimes as the length of your amazon wishlist was justified because nothing is permanent and if other startouch elves can wipe out societies with so much as a side eye so can he but changing things for the better or cheating the rules of the system maybe.

theory 2: this place is the startouch dimension and only they can beam into there.

so maybe aaravos was caught in a really painful moment and had to step away and be alone for a moment and the merciful one approached to comfort the star of elarion.

so, when is this really painful moment, you might ask?

whats interesting again is that this takes place with aaravos’s star blacked out.

we see in the shot of aaravos during the half moon decision by luna tenebris that his hair is glowing, skin is brighter, eyes are pink, star is white, but not here. so either

a. something took place between luna tenebris half moon and present day, which i doubt because i can’t think of anything (but admittedly we don’t know much about that era, just that humans were cast out, etc, then aaravos decided to go after luna tenebris and all of xadia, so maybe it actually is plausible that some unknown event occurred to break him like this, or perhaps the dividing of xadia itself.)

b. the other possibility, which i favor, is that aaravos was just in power up form in the half moon decision shot, and he otherwise would have the black star etc. just like here

then the event breaking him is perhaps

1. losing leola (leola’s last wish implies she left for something, maybe she sacrificed herself so that humanity could have primal magic) who he had some sort of bond with

2. the fall of elarion & loss of ziard+etc (which i favor, benevolent prometheus angle) or

3. learning that all humanity would be sentenced to die (before luna tenebris was convinced to spare them)

4. becoming a fallen star
