Deimos and Nekoya are quite literally two sides of the same coin. One desires to worship to the point of zealotry and idolatry, and the other to be worshipped enough to split his skin open with love growing up as he did.

One man that would result to underhanded means to get these things out of anyone and everyone. The other may be half-demon, but has SOME morals growing up where he did, how he did, with whom he did. Both a bit delusional, but one is just in a desperate fever pitch to be important enough to be loved and the other is slowly turning into an emotionless black pit.

Nekoya, honestly, treats those that hire him like they're god. An inane desire to believe in something paired with his unraveling mind is a recipe for disaster that could end with his favorite being kidnapped and put on a pedestal. Any attempts to escape would be met with amusement and any resistance in the form of violence is celebrated. He would only threaten them if they thought the police could help, only to be over joyed when they're just returned to him. The Lord of death owns the underworld, and he is 𝐃 𝐄 𝐀 𝐓 𝐇 bound to his lord ( Yuujin is his god enthroned, Nekoya is open to many forms of poly especially worship ).

Nekoya is fucking problematic. He's not capable of being sorry nor embarrassed. He could only emulate such emotions if he thought it would help him manipulate someone.
