She ponders a moment on the Jedi’s words. Knowing, that at this point the Commander is most certainly going to be the most helpful in her integration. She isn’t positive how long she’ll be here for, but she’ll bet at minimum a month. And the general’s praise of the Commander only seem to cement the idea that he must be a very good man. Not that she had any doubts before.

But her mind is quick to concentrate on the man’s behavior. She isn’t certain if she should be proud of the fact she’s grown able to easily read faces and body language. Or wether she should find it shameful, much like most people tend to shame her occupation. —She’s been rather grateful to the GAR being accommodating to her, and less judgmental than most—

She finds herself blinking a bit as he asks her a question she can’t say she’s ever been asked before. What does she know about the Jedi?

Brioola let’s put a soft nervous laugh in response for a moment as she looks away from the ginger for a moment. Does she tell him of the very few Jedi she’s met in her brother on coruscant? Hmmm . . . perhaps not.

It’s abundantly clear to her that she knows almost nothing really. Sure, she understands simple constructs like evil or the distraction and slavery of species. Things that the Jedi surely aim to abolish in the galaxy. She assumes they’re the protectors of the galaxy. But perhaps that’s a very bold assumption.

She cannot help but wonder why he asks such a question, but perhaps it’s to help her bette r understand what stress or anxiety he way share with her. She cants truly understand the weight she’s certain many of the Jedi do have. But she can damn well try.

"Cody gives the best tours," he recommended and took a sip of his own tea with a thoughtful frown. He wasn't usually this impolite and gave his guests undivided attention. But these days his mind was restless.

He didn't like the man he was turning into. Warfare was difficult to align with the Jedi Code. He had sought council in the old records about the Old Republic, where the much more powerful and grander Jedi Order constantly battled an equally strong Sith Empire. But these Jedi had not been Generals that commanded soldiers. They only fought the Sith directly and supported the Republic's troops, who did not consist of clones but actual citizens.

But refusing to lead the clone troops wasn't an option. They were dying either way, but led by someone else, someone neglectful, even more would die. The least he could do was try to minimize the losses.

And as much as Obi-Wan disliked it, he was of a tactical and manipulative mind, enough so to be an efficient General. He was good at this, which only annoyed him more. If he were unsuited it would show him that this was really not his calling, but instead he was dreadfully efficient.

"Mmh.." he mused, raising his eyes to meet her concerned gaze. She was a lovely woman, very empathic despite her difficult situation. He managed a smile. "Tell me, Brioola, what do you know of the Jedi?"

well, first of all, Dennis MacDonald and Robyn Walsh are exactly correct in their assertion that the Gospels, Acts and the Epistles were shaped by an editorial committee engaged in a literary project, especially Mark,  Mark, in particular, is the Odyssey of the Hebbrew Bible's Illiad  as an epic literature and Jeus is Odysseus preparing his crew for Troy, John Mark is not the author of the Gospel of Mark but he is part of the editorial committee and is the author of the Gospel of John, John Mark is the wtness to the Passion in the Garden and the youth that runs away naked in Mark. Saint Mark of Alexandria becomes the publisher of the Gospel of Mark, which is how it got it's designation of the Gospel according to Mark,According to Dan Wallace, 90%  of the manuscripts before Constantine came out of Alexandria. QUEZON CITY, Jan. 28 (PIA)—Two actors and a former army official are now full-pledged navy reservists after Admiral Robert A Empedrad, Flag Officer In Command, Philippine Navy, conferred their respective ranks) during  the Philippine Navy’s Monday flag raising ceremony Monday, January 27 at their headquarters in Manila.

Vice Adm. Empedrad conferred the rank of captain to Capt Manuel Felino V. Ramos PN(RES), the rank of Lieutenant Commander to Lt. Cmdr. Jose Sixto “Dingdong” G. Dantes III PN(RES) and the rank of Petty Officer Third Class to PO3 Raphael Q. Nacino PN (RES).

Capt. Manuel Felino V. Ramos (RES) is a retired Philippine Army officer who was incorporated in the PN Reserve Force, last August 9, 2019. Capt. Ramos is the current Assistant Secretary for Installation and Self-Reliant Defense Posture (ASIS) in the Department of the National Defense.

On the other hand, the actor known for his screen name as Dingdong Dantes, has been enlisted as marine reservist since 2006 and commissioned in the reserve force in 2019. Lt. Cmdr. Dantes (RES) is the Chairman and Founder of Yes Pinoy Foundation. He also holds the position of Assistant Vice Chairman of Logistics Support Group of Front liners Brotherhood Incorporated (FBI) which is affiliated to PN Affiliated Reserve Units (PNARU) program and placed under the Marine Affiliated Reserve Combat Service Support Batallion (MARCSSBn).

The family of Dantes, other PN senior leaders and Mrs. Marian Rivera Dantes, who assisted during the pinning of rank insignia to his husband, Dingdong were also present during the event.

Meanwhile, both Dantes and Nacino were also awarded with a Military Merit Medal for their notable achievement as they conduct humanitarian assistance and disaster response during the eruption of Taal volcano.

In his speech, Lt Cmdr Dantes narrates his reason for joining the Navy reserve, “I am a soldier, a reservist, because I would like to volunteer, to help those who help keep my family and my loved one safe. To my mind being a reservist, being a soldier, is about enabling others to pursue their own dreams in a secure and safe environment.”

He added, “Nasa gobyerno ka man o pribadong sector, may katungkulan man o karaniwang namamasukan, sundalo man o isang actor, tangan natin ang ‘puso’ ng isang bayani. So whatever uniform we maybe in today, let’s not forget to put our strongest hearts and commit ourselves to be heroes in our own ways.”

Empedrad hailed the navy reservists and its vital role played in the accomplishment of the AFP’s mission saying the values of volunteerism, patriotism and willingness to serve the country beyond being private citizen is something to be proud of.

“Our reservists are our unsung heroes… they are always there to help our Philippine Navy,” Empedrad said.

The Philippine Navy reservists play an important role as force multipliers as they are engaged in medical and civic action program, as well as humanitarian assistance and disaster response aspect of the military. The Command is very grateful for having reservists whose qualities are highly needed, and professionals who put a premium on national interest and well-being of the Filipino people. (PN/PIA-NCR)

Her eyes seem to sparkle as she sees the beautiful knife. Taking it almost gently from the general’s hands. She almost can’t believe that he would ever gift her something so beautiful. Never-mind that she’d be given a gift at all!

The only “gifts” —if you can call them that— that the woman had ever received were often times outfits or objects she uses for her job. And those aren’t exactly gifts she enjoys sharing. She wouldn’t even personally consider them gifts at all.

But this? This sparkly knife almost makes her want to cry in joy! It’s beauty and mix of sentiment makes her almost emotional before she quickly clears the thoughts from her mind and smiles at the stewjoni general.

❛ Thank you so very much, General Kenobi ! ❜ Brioola says excitedly as she holds the knife to her chest. Good thing she’s been learning from the clones how to use weapons for self defense. About a year ago the poor woman wouldn’t have known how to use it.

Being picked up or carried is not uncommon for the Mirialan woman. She’s shorter than any clone in the galaxy, and although packs a decent weight, it seems to happen for frequently than one would think. Today is no acceptation. Being practically scooped up into large arms, and into a hug. She feels squished, but she doesn’t vocalize it, it isn’t like she hates it. However it can be difficult to breathe when a 6’4” clone is gripping at you like a stressball, and unsurprisingly cracking her back.

❛ Uh, Captain- ❜ Rio says a bit strained by the forced weight entrapping her to his chest. He must have missed her while on deployment. That it he really needed to let off steam. Neither is an issue for her. What is an issue however, is her lack of oxygen.

Although it isn’t uncommon for her to be picked up. It is however uncommon for her to be picked up at random. Having her datapad in her hand as she waits for someone at their usual meeting place, she feels herself being picked up and she’s instantly freaked out. Letting out a harsh gasp at the sudden movement.

Her panic isn’t short as her heart races from adrenaline in a split second. She’s been, kidnapped before. This wouldn’t be the first time someone catches her by surprise, but she’s safely within the walls of durasteal with troopers passing by. None of them seem bothered by it, her panic must be incorrect. She didn’t have but a second to think about it as one hand clutches her datapad tightly to her chest, and the other reaching for anything to help her grasp what’s happening.

When she finally regains her stability, hand grasping at a shoulder, her eyes finally look up at the blue sparkly eyes of the general. Her adrenaline stills pumps, but she feels her anxiety quickly fade as she lets out a laugh.

❛ General! You scared me! ❜ Brioola exclaims, lightly smacking his shoulder with the back of her hand as she lets out another laughs. She takes in a deep breath and tries to calm her nerves a bit more before she finally asks him why on the makers name would he pick her up out of nowhere.

❛ Is there a reason you’ve scooped me up and scared the living daylight out of me? ❜ She asks, a bit of playful sass rolling off her tongue, almost demanding an answer. Though she would be as content without one.

She can tell this generally truly cares for his men. Something she has seen very little of in her time with the GAR. She’s seen many generals grow a distance. Her understanding is jedi’ are unable to form attachments. And perhaps getting close and caring deeply for your men counts as such. But that will never stop her from caring for every trooper that crosses her path. No matter how awkward, or charming they are.

As she brings the warm tea back to her lips she takes a ginger sip, listening to him speak. Rio simply nods her head in agreement to his statement about their dreams. One day, she how’s to see them all happy out of this war. Perhaps even be treated as the people they are. And be treated with respect and honor for their service.

❛ Some of their dreams may be un-achievable, but i agree. Giving them hope and appreciation to keep going, to boost moral, is important. ❜ She’s learned a lot the past few months across many stations. She has yet to find a permanent situation but for now she was in the hands of the 212th, and she was certain she could help boost said moral.

❛ We plan to have a conversation soon, when he has a moment of time. For now i need to settle and get a good look around so i don’t get lost. ❜ Rio muses with a soft laugh. Though she intends it lightly, knowing she can loose direct easily she knows the make and model of the “Negotiator” and can easily find her way around. But she’d like to get to meet some of the crew, and start her process.

❛ Are you alright General Kenobi ? ❜ Brioola asks on a bit of worry as she sees him look down. His demeanor somewhat changed, though she wonders if she’s reading too much into it. But she can tell that it weighs on him, this war and all it’s casualties. His devotion to keep as many of his men alive as possible is admirable. But she wonders if perhaps he needs a bit of moral himself. And that always starts with a conversation.

When Obi-Wan's lips pulled into a smile, his eyes crinkled. "I know, my dear. The men are going to be very happy in your care, I have no doubt about it." Her reputation preceeded her. The 212th had been excited when they had heard that she would join them. Anyone who made his men so happy was very welcome on board.

He then nodded, taking another sip of the delicious tea. "Yes..they give too much and receive so little. The Republic refuses to see it, but each of them is an individual with their own hopes and dreams. All we can do is keep them safe to the best of our abilities and then help to make sure they get to pursue their dreams when the war has ended."

Speaking of the clone's sex education, or lack thereof, reminded Obi-Wan that he was not sure how much they actually learn on Kamino. "The men know what to do, since they occasionally seek out company when off duty or on shore leave," Obi-Wan mused. "But I think speaking to Cody about this is indeed the best course of action. For example if they are able to father children, they need to be made aware of many important details."

Sadly, Obi-Wan suspected they couldn't. With the Kaminoans being so set on controlling the breeding process and growing them in tubes, equipping them with the ability to procreate the natural way sounded unlikely. He sighed, gazing into his teacup. "We must continue to love and hope."

With a soft curve of her lips into a smile, she nods towards the soldier she'd previously been talking to. She's glad she can help in more than just one way. She may not be the best at carrying things and helping load them, but she can certainly help in other ways. Often helping in the morale of the soldiers she's come to meet.

She is aware she has been invited by the general for a conversation, but it makes the poor woman a bit nervous. Unintentionally, of course. She's used to being around mostly men but sometimes being around women can be, intimidating. But, from word of mouth of the 212th, General Kenobi does not seem like the type of man to reprimand her for something so little. At least, she's hoping.

Taking in a deep breath, she grips her datapad and walks to where she is to be. It isn't like there are certain things she's required to do while out on a campaign. For the most part. Unless she's actively pulled aside, but she supposes she has an excuse at the moment.

No one interrupts her walk, however, and she easily makes it to the room she'd been invited to. Pressing the button to open the sliding door, she puts on her usual soft smile towards the ginger as he greets her. ❛ Of course, thank you for the invitation, sir. ❜ Brioola replies as she takes a seat. Her eyes land on the tea as he hopes it's to her liking. She's, hesitant to take the tea, but when she picks it up and pulls it to her nose, it smells delicious.

From her previous experiences, she's fairly certain that the drink has nothing suspicious in it and drops a little sugar cup in it. ❛ It certainly smells delicious, ❜ The mirialan says with a soft laugh as she mixes the sugar in.

❛ What kind of tea is it ? ❜ She inquires curiously.

The day had been strenuous. Preparing for a campaign was sometimes as stressful as the actual action, especially when he planned everything down to the finest detail and matters then tended to go awry and ruin his plans. As Obi-Wan vowed to work on his lack of flexibility, he checked the chrono. It was almost time. He liked to reserve the quiet evenings for meetings.

Today he had extended an invitation to Brioola to come visit him in his quarters aboard the Negotiator, very curious about her and wanting to make sure she felt welcome on board.

When she arrived, he offered her a smile and gestured towards an empty chair by the desk. Obi-Wan already set them two teacups. "Good evening, my dear. Thank you for accepting my invitation. Please, have a seat. I hope tea is to your liking?" He made sure it was cozy and familial. This was supposed to be a conversation and not an interrogation.
