β― TAG DROP β―
Decided this blog desperately needs to be cleaned up. Just for my aesthetic reasons. Here are all the tags and hopefully they turn out okay. Tried to make less of them.

NIGHT
Fandoms:Β Star Wars Sequel Trilogy
Rating:Β E for Everyone
Characters:Β Tedri Darsten, Chipper MSE-6
Word Count:Β ~130
Summary:Β Darsten has a bad habit of overworking and then fainting.
Authorβs Note:Β Originally a short for Day 4 of OC Week: Night. This was the first one I wrote for giggles and honestly, it fits here alright. It's short but *shrug*.
v^ββv^β OC WEEK DAY 4: NIGHT β^ββv^
In the void of space, time does not really mean anything. You could say it is whatever time you wish and you could be right. For Darsten and his work, it was well into the night cycle. Pushing on twenty hours of being awake with the help of caf and a droid eager to help.
Coffee can only do so much though, and he was slipping. Sudden jolts of relation would wake him up mid-fall. Chipper whirling in excitement at the movements. What was he going to do? Catch him?
The last task bubble was finally upon him. Yet Darsten would never get to that task. Something in him just switched and his eyes fell shut as his head plopped with a βclunkβ onto his workstation.

CHEWSTIMS
Fandoms:Β Star Wars Sequel Trilogy
Rating:Β Teen And Up Audiences
Characters:Β Tedri Darsten, Chipper MSE-6
Word Count:Β ~600
Summary:Β Chipper trying to cheer Darsten up after a cruddy day.
Authorβs Note:Β Originally a short for Day 3 of OC Week: Friends, Family, and Love. I really did write this as OC Canon as loosely the first time of Chipper being more than a droid to Darsten.
v^ββv^β CHEWSTIMS β^ββv^
Today was not Darstenβs best day. In fact, it was hovering in the top ten worst days of his life so far. Almost topping the time he tripped on Chipper off the Bridge walkway and into the pit below, breaking his arm. The day started horribly with waking up extremely late and dehydrated and ended horrendously with being openly shamed in front of the deck crew by his Captain. This time stung more than usual.
He didnβt even have the will this time to snap back and bite the hands that feed. He let the backhanded words and reprimanding for tardiness spew until he was permitted to leave with shattered pride. A larger than needed spectacle he truly wanted to forget.
He entered his living chambers and took in the pitiful sights. It was a room meant for four, with two bunk beds lining the sides. But it only inhabited one. And that one made a mess of four. Uniforms strewed about carelessly, chewstim wrappers and empty water containers littering parts of the floor, a box full of untouched parts for Chipper on an unclaimed bed. On a better day he would see the disarray and clean up a little, but today he could not bring himself to care about the room and its growing issues. He happily walked over the mess and plummeted into the bed he claimed, burying his face into the sheets.
Chipper awoke at the sound of his Lieutenant coming back, but by the time he moved off his charging port, the man was in the bed and uncaring of his presence. Wondering what was going on, Chipper let out a quiet chirp. It worked in getting Dartstenβs attention as he rustled in the blankets. When he looked down at the droid he gently smiled.
βHey. Iβm okay.β He reassured Chipper with a smile. It was not believed by the droid, however. The tone being picked up wasnβt right and indicated that everything was in fact not βokayβ. It was a tone he had only registered a sparse number of times. Only one of those times from Darsten himself. It was logged as βsadness, dejection, and sorrowβ. All negative emotions. Bad emotions. Emotions many try to avoid.
When his sensors picked up Darsten moving away to hide, he chirped again.Β
βI said Iβm fine.β
Chipper fought the snap with a low hum, but his friend was choosing to ignore him.
Sadness is the last thing anyone wants to see in their best friend. Not even a droid. But his chirps and whirls were doing nothing to get Darstenβs attention. Chipper then sought out newer means of communication. Upon scanning the room, he stumbled onto a chewstim thrown on the floor. It was still wrapped in shiny blue foil that glowed in the droid's holocams.Β Β
Darsten has a habit of hoarding the little condensed cohesive substance of sugar. Chipper has logged more than 10 in one day. Usually, they brought a happy hum to his Lieutenant as he chewed away. While he will never understand why Darsten likes them, he knows it may help right now. Popping his claw out he grasped the stim gently and brought it with him to the base of the bunk bed. He then called up one last pleading time and thankfully Darsten turned to look.
At first, Darsten did not take the gift. He just looked at it with an expressionless gaze. It made Chipper worry he failed in some way or another. But then, he moved and took the stim with a small smile.
βThanks, pal.β

LAST FIGHT PART 1
Fandoms: Star Wars Sequel Trilogy
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Characters: Tedri Darsten, Chipper MSE-6
Word Count: ~600
Summary: Lando's fleet just arrived and Darsten watches from the viewport as Destroyer after Destroyer are taken down. It leaves him with a bittersweet feeling.
Author's Note: Listen, I have not re-edited something so many times in my life! If I don't post it now, it will never get posted and I will act like it was never supposed to be. Not to mention all my gripes with Exegol to begin with. Originally for Star Wars OC Week: WAR!
v^ββv^β LAST FIGHT PT 1 β^ββv^
They were losing. It was obvious even to Darsten, a simple data runner, that they were LOSING. Outside the viewport was the destruction of the likes he had never seen before. A Destroyer just exploded across from them! He has seen war, yes. But this was not just simply war. What he was seeing now was complete annihilation in the most spectacular of fashions. The sky- or what could be called that- hazed with blue lightning and smoke. Rumbles of stressed metal and cannon fire echoed the halls and outside. This was it. And for once in his feeble life, Darsten felt primal fear.
In this fear, he found himself thinking more than moving. He thought about his time in the First Order and all he has done so far. He never truly vowed himself to the First Order. He was just an infant when he was forced into this predetermined life. Yet, it was all he knew deep down. He wondered to himself if he enjoyed his life.
The Order in all? No.Β
But the rest? Yeah.Β
He did. He did enjoy it.
Yes, he hated most of his superiors. Hated the food. Hated the filtered air. Hated the beds, walls, speeches, workload, lack of sleep, uniforms, regulations, and all rights not belonging to him and him alone. Then above all, hated that his dreams were constantly crushed and mocked. He would not miss the First Order in the slightest for it has made his life full of mockery and belittlement.
Somehow he also loved his foolish time here. It did go better than expected. Quite a few days spent in tomfoolery for the sake of a laugh. From the simplest of jokes like sending Chipper to trip someone, to the most complex of schemes such as tampering with data to make someone look bad that somehow miraculously worked. He enjoyed it all. Really thanks to Chipper in the end. The loyalty of the droid knows no bounds. They had quite the run together; dancing around the ship and collecting- at times- hilarious details about people Darsten would never have thought of. Chipper reached expectations Darsten never expected and for that he was beyond grateful. He was a true best friend.Β
Looking away from the viewport, not needing to see the destruction any longer, he finally acknowledged the droid with a gentle smile. He had no idea of knowing if Chipper knew that they were coming closer to their demise. Perhaps he had access to the Command centers coms? Or has tapped into other droid chatter? Either way, Chipper seems calm. Perhaps accepting just like his Lieutenant.
βOh- Chipper. We canβt go out like this, can we? Neither of us had a chance to live yet.βΒ
He felt the stray tear roll and wiped it quickly. It was not that he was sad for the First Order. Maker, no. He would be laughing if he was not on the ship currently threatening to implode. He was sad for the end of his own existence and more for Chipperβs existence. He was the most innocent out of everyone Darsten has met.
He should have defected. Used his skillset in slicing to run away on a TIE and start a shop somewhere far from the First Order. He probably could have made it too! The First Order would not waste their time going after a simple Lieutenant. It's too late now.
Chipper gave out a weak questioning βdo-doβ as he rolled up to his friend's boots.
Darsten lowered himself to sit on the floor that seemed colder than ever and beckoned Chipper to come even closer. Slowly the droid did, and Darsten then picked him up and brought the droid up to his chest in a tight embrace. βIβm going to miss you, pal.β
