viserys practically whimpered as he lay his head on his sisters lap, clinging to her legs with his fingertips. “dany, when did everything get so messy ?” he asked, rather pathetically, but he knew the answer to that. things started to get messy when viserys was born, and the mad king was created in his full force. their kingdom was snatched away from them by the kingslayer and his disgusting family, his mother died. his brother died. his father died. his brothers children died. they were all dead, apart from viserys and daenerys. the last targaryens. “i just wanted to go home, to take our home back. i couldn’t even get our home back, for our families sake. i’m sorry i failed you, but you are stronger than me. you can do it.”

“ many times, sweet niece. but your mother would not forgive me if i told you about them. ” viserys replied calmly, a nice change from the anger that usually boiled in his blood. he had seen too many people die. only a few he cared about, others it was like music to his ears, hearing their last breath. it had been a long time since someone had died in front of him, but that was only because he knew that if he stepped out of line, his sweet sister & her northern wolf would let the people do whatever they wished to the dragon, who took after his father. & that was something viserys was truly afraid of. he knew that the people of the seven kingdoms would not make his death a fast & painless one, if they could control that.

viserys clenched his jaw as the female spoke to him, like he was a child to be told off. he understood that sometimes he could forget himself and lose control of his temper, but he was the true lord of the seven kingdoms and he would not be locked out of his own meetings. “i will not be told i cannot attend a meeting of the counsel just because you’re all afraid of waking the dragon. people used to take the dragons instincts as important and now you hide from it. you need not, i am not aerys targaryen, born again and you should know that by now, arianne.” 

it angered him that this was even a conversation that they were having, he hated being questioned and he hated that he was still being treated like the coin had landed on the wrong side when he was born. everyone still held their breath around the dragon king, though what was a ruler without a little fear ?
