It's White Day ~ Genji's been hard at work, steady hands crafting homemade chocolate into sakura flower shapes. These always reminded him of the place he used to call home. More so, they reminded him of Mukuro, and the fond memories they shared. He put so much thought and care into the details, that the tiniest error in precision led the reject pieces of chocolate tossed... into his mouth, aiming to present her with only the best of his work. Once finally satisfied, he arranged them in a simple yet elegant box and was at her doorstep in no time. It's strange though... how he's suddenly having doubts as he handed her the rather small box. "I've brought chocolates. It is not much... but I hope it's to your liking, Mukuro."

Mukuro had almost forgotten that it was White Day, so when Genji has shown up at her doorstep with chocolates, Mukuro was pleasantly surprised。 Already opening the door with a bright smile for him as she accepted the chocolates he brought with him。 The box was so elegant she'd almost feel bad unwrapping them in a bit to taste the chocolates he made for her。

When she'd see that he had made chocolates in the shape of sakura flowers, Mukuro's face would heat up and a fond smile would appear on her lips, they're almost too cute to eat。

「They're beautiful, Genji」 she spoke in a soft, loving tone。 The size of the box didn't matter much to her and she hope he wasn't comparing his gift to the amount of chocolates she had given him last month, he had made them for her and that was more than enough to get her to love the treats。

「You want to come in and have some tea? Or coffee?」 She said as she opened up the door more and stepped to the side a bit to allow him entry。

Mukuro hated to admit it, but he had a good point there, if she were actually not from here, that would make her being here all the more weird。 Seeing as even the locals would avoid this place like a plague then those out of town would also do the same。

「I just noticed it had a nice view is all。」 Mukuro spoke with a slight frown to her lips, 「there's no hidden agenda here。I'm here for just me, not business。。。」 Not yet anyway, she'd probably have some sort of job at some point that would have her infiltrate the castle in some manner。Mukuro would love to see this castle back in appropriate hands, or hell, even her own hands, she just had to figure out a good way as to how, but that would be an issue for another time。

When he spoke about the castle, Mukuro hummed and nodded these were facts that she knew well but she'd just nod along and act like she hadn't already known that, since she did lie and say that she wasn't from around here。

「So is that what you're here to do then? Gather intel to overthrow?」 After all, he had yet to state the reason as to him being here, 「or are you a local and I just happened to find your secret spot?」

Genji studied her expression, gazing intently. She seemed on edge, narrowed eyes indicating distrust, hostility... and perhaps, irritation? He did interrupt her thoughts in what appeared to be an emotional moment of solitude. And for that, his lips unwittingly pulled to an apologetic smile, despite it being hidden behind the mask.

Yokohama... so that's where she's been. At least for the most part, he could see that she's been well.

"And, that makes this chosen meditation spot all the more perplexing. For you to come all the way here... hard to believe that there is no hidden agenda."

Was he testing her patience? Quite likely. Was he also stalling for inexplicable reasons? Well-

"The Shimada have fallen, and this castle... taken over by the Hashimoto." While he kept his tone mostly neutral, there was an undeniable rueful hint in his voice. "There is nothing left of this place... except for outside forces to gather intel to overthrow-"

「As much as I'd love to work with Genji, I don't think I'd fare too well within their skirmishes, I'm very much a ' work in the shadows ' type of girl。 While I know that Genji could very well hold his own, I still would probably be worried about him and lose focus on a fight。 And I'm sure neither of us would want that。」

「Besides, I much prefer the idea of being something he could come home to。。。 if that's what he'd like, of course。」 Mukuro just wanted him to know that her home was always open to him, and he's free to consider it his home as well。

  Whenever Mukuro found herself anywhere near Hanamura, she’d always make room in her plans to stop by and visit the only place that was the start of many positive memories for her。 On top of that one little sentry-post type platform that Genji took her to and showed her an absolutely breath-taking view of the city skyline at night。  She really only ever visited at night to make sure she’d catch the view once again, granted it wasn’t a beautiful this time as it had been in the past but it was still rather nice。

  While last time, she held quite the positive expression on her face, these last few times, a more melancholy expression took hold。 Mukuro always missed Genji more and more whenever she stopped by here, the pain in the heart told her to stop coming here because it hurt to bad, but she was far to stubborn to give in to that reasoning。 This reminded her so much of such good times and coming here from time to time, Mukuro could still feel a little better as she’d reminisce。

  Mukuro let out a soft sigh before saying, 「Genji。。。 I miss you so much。」 As she sat here, Mukuro always wondered what he’d think of her now, how much faster and easier she seemed to be at scaling the wall, the bad habit of smoking whenever she’s extremely stressed that she started to pick up ( but she’d never smoke here, she felt that not only it would be too disrespectful but it’d also ruin the mood of the view ), or even just the look she carried on her face now。 She had a more playful, bright look to her eyes that were now more dark and dreary, Mukuro hadn’t had a strong, emotional connection with anyone since Genji and her eyes really expressed that。

「Okay,」 Mukuro said with a small nod, having someone to call and be ready and willing to help her was an unfamiliar feeling to her, she knew Genji was good for it of course, she had no doubt about that。

She never。。。 really had anyone to offer her that kind of support before, so thinking to call out to someone to get some help wasn't a thought that'd cross her mind。

「Thank you,」 she'd nod once again when he said he was going to make some tea and soup and return, Mukuro would stay in this spot until he'd return。 She didn't really have much of a voice at the moment, not with the night terror she just had, so all she really could provide in terms of answers were short for the moment。

             It’s been so long since that day and yet, I still miss Genji terribly, and go through the levels of grief every so often - always in the dead of night。 I still hardly sleep and anytime I do, despite not being there, nor having been giving the exact details, that doesn’t stop my mind from conjuring up images of how it happened and adding that amongst the roster of other night terrors I have。

             I’ve perhaps become a bit too reckless as of late, as great paying as my current career path is -- it’s also rather dangerous, something I’m sure that Genji wouldn’t be too happy about。。。 but I’m finally working for the benefit myself rather than someone else, and that feels nice。 And almost constantly working on gathering information, tracking people down, networking, etc。 helps keep my thoughts from wandering too far, because I know if they did, this depression would probably be way worse than it is。

             And I know it may be foolish of me but--- I still hold some hope that maybe somehow, somewhere he’s still alive。 Would I be angry if that was the case? Maybe just a bit。。。 but I’d honestly probably be filled with so many emotions I wouldn’t know what to do, what to think at first。

             Regardless, I love him a lot, and I always will。

「Of course, how could I not~」 Mukuro says with a smile, gently pulling the material of the hoodie a little more around her, during their time apart, this article was the only thing she had of him, so she’d often wear it around or even just have it nearby for comfort, there were times where it was the only thing she wore, just because for a while, the hoodie still smelled like him, and she’d bring it out only when her pain had become unbearable and the hoodie brought her untold amounts of comfort。

「Mmhm〜?」 Mukuro hummed in question, tilting her head to look up at him as she waited to hear his question。 Her head having been rested on his shoulder until Mukuro begins to think about how to answer his question, when he speaks about helping her wish come true, a little laugh echos from her。

「It may sound super generic but I want,」 she began, 「to travel more,  I haven’t experienced many things and would very much like to see other cultures in person rather than in photos or videos, you know? And I want to do so with you〜」Mukuro speaks with a soft blush appearing on her cheeks, and went to rest her head back on his shoulder, 「I want to make a bunch of memories with you, I want to experience new places and things with you。 Of course, as long as you can tolerate being around me for that long〜」 She teases。

Overwatch Verse(s)

( I’ll have a generic one and then one made specific for threads w/ @shouga-nai‘s Genji :3 )

General:

- Still pretty much her same backstory as in her ‘main’ verse. Nothing major is really changed expect that it’s within the Overwatch story setting.

- based in Shinjuku/Tokyo

- in this verse mukuro doesn’t have shitty aim lmao

- is very much a dps hero lol has poison laced throwing knives as her secondary weapon/attack and her main weapon is probably some type of silenced/suppressed pistol lmao i’ll think of specific abilities and an ultimate later

- if i think of anything else, i’ll add it

With shouga-nai’s Genji:

- Her backstory is pretty much the same but she lives in Hanamura at first instead of Shinjuku and instead of becoming an info broker right away, she winds up with a boyfriend ( who she met during her time as a hostess ) the relationship starts out great and all but winds up really shitty and ropes her into his ‘scheme’ of having Mukuro seduce rich men and steal from them to pawn off and get money.

- The plan goes swimmingly until Mukuro ( under the fake name: Ran [ meaning: orchid] ) meets Genji and uh-oh he treats her better than her current boyfriend does and she starts to fall for him.

- Mukuro’s current relationship has turned abusive ( unsurprisingly ) far before she met Genji and she has began to save up money to move out and fight back. Mako gets more and more violent because he thinks Mukuro is not doing her absolute best and is bringing less and less money back ( she is but that’s because she’s saving a good majority of the money she brings in lol )

- During that part of the ‘relationship’ and then on she sees her ‘boyfriend’ as someone more of a roommate. she spends a lot of her time not at their apartment/shared living spaces

- boyfriend/roommate guy is named Mako and runs a shitty small gang.

- Once mukuro saves up enough money she moves out to Yokohama for a while ( and honestly if Genji doesn’t do it first, she kills Mako before she moves lmao )

- honestly I can see her moving from Hanamura to Yokohama be right after Genji’s ‘death’

[ CLOSER ]:     while pinning the receiver against the wall, sender glances down at their lips, suddenly aware of how close they are to one another… (Genji!)

  A gasp rushed out of her when her back had hit the wall, and having locked eyes with him, Mukuro noticed that his gaze dipped down her to her lips and she parted her lips a little slightly and playfully lick her bottom lip。 Mukuro wouldn’t make any sort of move to close the distance between them but she would just look at him with a playful glint in her eyes。
