Serval - Body Study

Bc hoyov is a coward I will take matters into my own hands

Height - 5'10"

Body Type - Tall, athletic, curvy, wide hips and breasts

Hair - Flaxen blonde, blue tips, blue streak. Waist length, layered, bangs, shaved under cut visible with ponytail.

Face - Upturned, hooded blue eyes, high cheek bones, pointed chin, pale skin with cool pink undertones, upturned nose, thin lips, ears turned out slightly

Scars - Burn scar, four inches long on left forearm from a lab accident as a teenager. A few small rough and tumble scars. Scar on right ankle from a fracture falling off a roof as a child. (no she was not supposed to be on the roof)

Piercings - Ears: Double lobes, industrial, daith. Navel. Tongue. Considering doing her eyebrow or nose. While he likes bold, flashy jewelry she is very mindful to remove anything dangling from her ears while working. That's why she likes the navel and tongue, since they don't get in the way.

Tattoos - She's been getting tattoos for the past several years, she likes bold black and white tattoos with a pop of color to accent. She started in places she could easily hide while still working as an Architect but has since moved on from trying to hide them. Themes include music, lightning strikes, science ect. Notable tattoos - the lightning symbol on her hip, the opening notes of the first song she performed for an audience around her upper bicep, and on her forearm are the numerical dates of hers and her siblings birthdays, beneath them are three paw prints; a serval, cheetah, and lynx.

Makeup - Almost always wearing thick winged eyeliner and a dark shadow, usually accompanied by a darker lipstick. When she's performing, she'll wear something shimmery to reflect the stage lights. Paints her nails black

Clothing style - Tends to make or up cycle her own clothing. Tends toward a punk style with chunky combat boots (gtfo of here with the everyone wears heels and a mini skirt bs). Favors blacks and whites with a dark color, usually blues or purples. Her in game outfit was fashioned out of her old lab coat when she was fired - they can't destroy her through her career, she'll take it and make something new. Lots of studs and belts. If she's not working her fingers are stacked with rings. Favors silver jewelry. Wears a black collar with a chain over the shoulder. She is mindful of her clothing when working, for safety reasons but without compromising her style. (Think Abby from NCIS)

💧 DROPLET - random angst headcanon

Serval spent much of her early childhood desperate for her parent's approval. She was a wild child from the start with her father's temper. She was always lectured about the Landau's legacy and her role as the first born, her responsibilities, the expectations placed upon her at birth. And when her siblings were born, it was her job as the eldest to mind them. She loved her siblings dearly and wanted to ensure their souls didn't disappear under the weight of their namesake. And when it came to their father's scolding, Serval often went out of her way to cover for or take the blame on behalf of her siblings. She'd even go so far as to act up in order to draw attention away from them. She had already lost her chance at being the perfect child, the least she could do was suffer the brunt of their parent's stern anger to lessen the strain on her siblings. In her light cone 'Landau's Choice', she's seen standing in front of Gepard, described as 'denying him the chance to talk back'. That was her role, to be the black spot so her siblings might have a chance at the light.

💗 GROWING HEART - if they have a crush, is it noticeable? what changes when they're in love?

Serval's a pretty affectionate and playful person as is, like if she's drunk everyone's getting a smooch, she's sitting in people's laps, she's going on about how hot her friends are and how lucky people would be to date them. But if she has a specific crush -- one, she might not realize for a hot minute. Attraction is just a thing she notices, like yeah that person is good looking anyway moving on. But when she's actually interested, her affections might be a little more pointed and less general, quieter in a sense. She's going to start inviting you out more, even if it's just the two of you. And she might start to take care of you in some way, asking if you need help, making sure you get home safe, that you've eaten, things like that. That's when you know she's invested in ensuring that, at the very least, you'll stay in her life as a friend. And if it becomes something more, even better.

abatina : is there anything in life your muse has changed their mind about over time ( due to becoming more educated on the topic , certain experiences , etc . ) , or that they would change their mind about under certain circumstances ?

After the Astral Crew arrives in Belobog, most everyone's world turns upside down, including Serval. She learns that the stelleron she devoted years to studying was actually the cause of the Eternal Freeze. That the sealed Underworld has been suffering under the weight of their exile. And that her dearest friend, the person she trusted above all else, betrayed her friends, her cause, and her city, all without saying a word. And at first, she couldn't handle the knowledge. She grappled between her grief, her anger, and her guilt. And unable to deal with it, she sought to run away completely.

But with a little help, she worked through her emotions. Cocolia wasn't a perfect hero of the people, nor some great evil. She was a woman with a dream, corrupted by a power centuries in the making. And it's okay for Serval to miss her, to love her and call her friend. And most of all, that the fate of Belobog doesn't rest in the hands of the Architects or even the Supreme Guardian. It's the people who will carry the planet into a warmer, brighter future. And most of all, that she's still needed here. Not just by her family, but by the people who were failed by their leaders. And there are plenty of things for a genius mechanic to fix. Many of these things were ideas she knew deep down, but wasn't able to grapple with. So while her mind wasn't 'changed', it was certainly put back on track.

gladiolus : describe a moment from your muse’s life that they will never forget .

Serval has always loved music. But the stuffy piano lessons her parents mandated did little to fulfill her interest. She was tired of being told to sit up straight, follow the music, don't improvise. So when she snuck out one day, running around the edges of the city, enthralled by people who seemed free from the endless constraints of her life at home. And it's in a back alley that she first heard someone playing guitar. The woman said it was an older instrument that used to be more popular. Serval loved the sound and the passion with which the woman played. She returned to listen every chance she got, eventually learning to play herself, even repairing a broken guitar to use herself. And while this certainly a memory she holds dear, it's not the most precious.

What really stuck with her was when she brought the instrument home and made the mistake of playing it in the house. Her parents were furious that she was engaging in such low brow behavior. The threw the guitar away and punished her. She was devastated, crying angrily in her room. But it was alright.

Her brother and sister came to find her. They were still little at the time, maybe too little to fully understand the situation. But they'd heard her playing. They wanted to hear it again sometime. And Serval couldn't help but smile. She wanted to play again, it was fun, and maybe she just wanted to prove her parents wrong. But looking down at her little siblings, she was more determined than ever. She promised to play a concert specially for them one day, on a big stage with lights and everything. She would show them something fun, beyond the rules their parents set in place. And they'd all smile together.

Various headcanons in no particular order

Bad relationship with her parents. She was a 'wild child' and was often made out to be a stain on the prestigious 'Landau' name. She moved out in her teens but made sure not to abandon her siblings. She hasn't talked to her parents since she left the Architects.

Loves her siblings more than anything and would do anything for them. She might tease Gepard and baby Lynx but they're her whole life. Her determination has always been to make sure they remember themselves as more than just Landaus.

She made the guitar she uses now and has broken it multiple times

Actual genius

Not good with money but good at fixing her own home so she never has to pay for maintenance. She saved a lot of the money she earned as an Architect and now makes money through her music and the Workshop (not a lot).

Several tattoos and piercings

When the Underworld is opened up, she finds that she feels a bit guilty about it, given that she was working for/friends with Cocolia and she was raised in a really privileged environment. So she starts going around doing repairs for free, fixing and improving upon the electrical and heating systems around town and in people's houses. She does eventually find she gets along pretty well with the people down there after a while and likes playing music for the kids.

Her concerts are Wild

Writes her own music. I cannot write music so I will be borrowing from Actual Musicians

While she decides against joining the Astral Express, she would still like to travel off world some day when Belobog's a bit more stable. But for now she's content to stay where she's needed

Has a picture of Gepard and Lynx as kids on her at all times. Will show it to anyone who asks, much to Gepard's dismay.

If you think it looks like Neverwinter is on fire, no it's not, mind your business, don't tell Gepard.

She might follow all safety protocols when it comes to wearing PPE but that does not mean she will sacrifice her style. Think Abbie Sciuto from NCIS

Modifies her own clothes, including the clothes her parents used to buy her as a way of recycling them. She also makes a lot of her own jewelry

Something that I really wanna incorporate into the way I portray Serval is kind of edging her up a bit. Like she's definitely written with a more 00's pop punk aesthetic, Paramore/Avril Lavinge which is fine but she's supposed to be a rocker. Like she's all about rock n roll and while pop punk is certainly derived from rock n roll, it's not what I imagine Serval thinking about when she declares she's 'full time rock n roller'. So I want to push her a little bit more into the hardcore scene, specifically using influences from 80's rock. I really wish she had more of a rebel edge in game bc I think it's more so treated as fluff while her in game appearances usually revolve more around her in more 'professional' settings, if that makes sense. She needs a little more Joan Jett and Heart in her.

[ dry martini ] what is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to them?

Serval is no stranger to electrical mishaps given her job as a mechanic however the first time a fire squad had to be called because of her was probably the worst. She was still in school at this point and was working on repairing an old heating unit. However something went wrong and she ended up with a large fire. Luckily there was no outstanding damage but the building had to be evacuated. She was absolutely mortified. Since then, she's had more than a few mishaps but has learned to just laugh it off. No one seems to flinch if they see smoke coming from Neverwinter Workshop.

The first time she was able to perform publicly as a rock musician. Serval has been interested in music since she was little however her musically education was based mostly around the more sophisticated classical arts, something more befitting of the Landau family name. But it wasn't until she discovered rock n roll that she truly felt at home performing. She picked up guitar and singing and made plans to form her own band. And the first time she got the chance to perform at a local restaurant, she was overjoyed. She's never as happy as when she's on stage.

Rearranging or reorganizing her workshop. Serval operates under a system of organized chaos. She tends to have a lot of clutter and mess but it rarely gets in the way of her doing her job. But something she can't stand is when someone gets in the way of her mess. Gepard has learned this the hard way after trying to tidy up.

silly hc but when someone pointed out that gepard had out grown serval, she dramatically collapsed on top of lynx, fake crying that her 'cute baby brother had betrayed her' and lynx needed to stay small and cute forever as to not break her big sister's heart.
