STORY.

Seongmin was born in September 15, 1996. He grew up in a rather normal household and soon fell in love with kpop music through many girl groups of the 2nd generation. Growing up, he was part of a dancing team along with his high school friends, often covering songs in the street and in the school’s presentations. Due to that background, a lot of fans question Lumiére’s decision of not giving him a dancer position.

When he was 18 years old, he auditioned to Starship Entertainment and passed. He was soon put in the reality show NO.MERCY, where he managed to get to the finals, however didn’t debut. He stayed one more year in the company until Lumiére offered him a spot as a trainee, which he accepted.

Being one of the first trainees under Lumiére, he was also one of the first confirmed members in the official debut lineup, fans from the starship days were happy to be able to finally see him on stage. He officially debuted in TEMPE5T as their leader, visual, lead vocal and lead rapper. He is often nicknamed “Nation’s prince” by the fans due to his vibes and overall personality.
