Not Enough.
It's... cold. Without the Flamescion Core kindling her heart, she makes for easier prey to the precursing chills of a dying summer. With no sign of Mei, Bronya, or the others, the chill simply irritates a certain flavor of loneliness. The sort of loneliness one feels when they are far beyond the boundaries of what they might call home. Was this a dream? Or a nightmare, stripped of her friends and powers. Though feeling these questions in her heart, her cool composure certainly doesn't betray. Whatever the case may be, she's out in Fibonacci with hopes that the latter problem might at least be somewhat solved.
After all... a BB gun was a sick and sorry replacement for everything she had worked so hard to achieve. What was a BB gun going to do in the wake of a Honkai incursion? Or.. something worse? Sharp eyes give away the gravity of her search, silly little guns holstered at her hips. Surely there would be someone. Someone in a similar situation, similarly armed, similar -- there!
A seemingly unassuming young lady, bubblegum pink standing out even in the dazzling lights of Fibonacci. A unique armament of a make she's never seen before... familiar, but alien. More importantly: a firearm like her own.
"Hey you, ( @witchoftrinity ) with the pink hair." With casual care, the Valkyrie strides towards the stranger. "'Scuse me, got a moment?"

Well, what a very frustratingly difficult point to argue. Truly it was highly unlikely Kiana would put this girl in any actual danger - the dissuasion has always been a part of a grand fear, doubling back from old days. One based on a feeling, less on evidence. So, if the zombie was bot quite resistant to her already distant fears, then...
There's a sigh.
"Fine. You can stay." And then she points her little stick directly at Hanabi, a stern expression on her face. "But you gotta leave if you're ever unhappy, or if I put you at risk. No heroism, alright?"
I don't want sympathy, and I don't want a hero. Not if it hurts you.
She may be cold and callous, but she does care and she cares deeply. The fact she keeps people away or at least tries (some people don't listen. Like herself!) in order to protect them is something. For their sake.
Hanabi isn't foolish enough to NOT heed Kiana's warning. After all, she felt it when she stepped foot in her part of this woods.
"I'll be okay." She says with a nod. "I'm not immune to pain, but I've been arrow'd a couple of times before, and I'm still here." She pauses and then adds, "and I'll help you keep people out if you'd like!"

hi!! I came across you and I thought your work is really amazing!! This is my first time asking something like this haha but for everything a first :) I really love figure skating and I was wondering if you could make a oneshot or any headcannons of the reactions of blue lock characters haha (mostly rin nagi and sae)! (sorry if I made some mistakes, English is t my first language)
ice, ice, baby!
₊˚ ᗢ blue lock various x figure skater! reader.
⤷ what kind of relationships rin, sae, and nagi (separate) would be in.
itoshi rin
“if you’re going to do something, do it with your entire heart.”
rin met you when he was only ten years old. you were his next door neighbor with a feverish dream to become the best figure skater in the world. although it may have been one of the loftiest dreams anyone might hear, he believed in you the same way you did for him. and together, he will see you perform all over the country, with him in arms waiting.
so when a cold rainy day comes and the two of you were walking home together under a shared umbrella, he wanted to say something. but you beat him to it. standing in front of your door, you turned around and smiled, saying only two things: i will be leaving to russia tomorrow morning to train with a new coach.
this first part came as a no brainer to him, of course you would leave. just as sae did a few months ago, you were beginning to flap the wings you were blessed with. however, the second part was what kept him on his toes, heart punching up to his throat: and i love you, rin.
after departing in the morning, he would stay up late to watch your performances on television. even when he had early practice, it was complete habit to see you on screen. your presence on the ice was unmatched by many of your cohorts in russia. cold and calculative, yet free flowing. like a confident stream you graced the fields with a polished play. alongside a perfectly timed quad axel, it placed you right at the top of the world.
the ultimate power couple. when you’re at the kiss and cry, you’ll say his name to the camera before blowing a kiss. meanwhile, whenever he scores a goal, he’ll raise his fist in a catching motion, bringing it up to his lips as he hides his faint smile behind his hand. your performances will always be dedicated to each other and it drives the press mad (rightfully so).
when you return to japan, he’s the first person that you see at the airport. in only a matter of seconds, with his extremely long legs and speed, he is wrapping his arms around you tightly, inhaling your scent as he lays his head on your shoulder.
he would immediately take you back to all your favorite places. during your time away, he had taken a multitude of pictures and sent you dozens of instagram reels of cafes. now that you were here in his arms, it made going to them all the more real (or maybe not, with you sitting in front of him, enjoying a mont blanc and latte, it feels like the perfect dream).
sleeping in the same bed as him had never felt any better. while you knew him to be a drooler, you would have never expected him to be clingier than a koala. he is keeping you flushed against his chest the entire night. if you think about getting water, he will follow you with arms tangled with yours.
itoshi sae
“i’ll carve my name into ice while you all watch in awe.”
the only other person with the same amount of arrogance as him was you, a rebellious teenager he found on the streets of spain. you tried to pickpocket him on his first day in the country. instead of reporting you to the police, he asked you one simple question that changed the trajectory of your life: if you had the chance to do anything, what would it be?
some people viewed you as a lost cause in the figure skating world. having started extremely late compared to your other peers, your name was rubbish and caked in dirt. however, it never stopped sae from coming to see you after every practice, watching as you practiced your spins and salchows underneath the dim lights of the arena with a coach he’d hired. to him, you were a diamond in the rough that just needed a push.
he didn’t think much about your relationship until it was late at night. you were walking back with him to a hotel, face covered with masks to avoid intruding paparazzi. it started off with small talk, like family and friends (you learned he had a very cocky but sweet brother back in japan), but it quickly diverged into something more intimate that had the two of you walking into his room with intertwined pinkies.
when it came time to perform in the qualifying rounds, you had plunged the stadium with wails and tears. overcoming the country’s beloved skater by a wide margin, you stood above everyone, head raised high as you pointed up to the cameras, hardening your gaze as you mouthed sae’s name. you must have known he was watching from the corners of the locker room.
the world of figure skating was going to change with you, a new generation skater that rose from nothing.
sae feels immense pride when it comes with you. even though there were many curve balls thrown in your direction, whether it be from bad press or his persistent fanbase, the smile you hid beneath the covers reassured him that you were going to stick it out. nothing in the world could compare to the happiness you felt when you were with sae. because with him, you knew you could do anything.
dates typically consist of fancy meals or sightseeing trips. he isn’t particularly drawn to these activities himself, but what motivates him is the thought of treating you to something new. whether it be a pretty dessert from down the street that costed an arm and a leg, or seeing the stars as you walk along the beach, he’ll dedicate a huge chunk of his income to letting you see the world in its fullest.
matching photocards on the back of your phone cases. sae uses a clear one so he can flip his phone around and stare at you before every game. while some think he’s admiring your smile (as beautiful as it is), he’s actually sees you as the perfect rival to his games. although you were both in different sports, the two of you constantly pushed each other to your limits, showing the world what it means to be the very best.
nagi seishiro
“there is no point in anything if you aren’t going to have fun.”
he wasn’t interested in figure skating until he came across one of your performances on youtube. it was really early into middle school when he started watching you. one of the reasons why he started was because you skated to a lot of his favorite songs from video games he liked. the second reason was because you looked like you were having fun.
unlike most figure skaters he’s seen, you made the sport look enjoyable (he thinks everyone else looks extremely constipated when they’re too focused). with a beautifully confident smile, you danced across the ice, performing triple axels and a perfect biellmann spin. you skated as if you truly loved this sport, and this was the selling point for him (maybe this is when he started to be called a certified fanboy).
when he arrived to blue lock, the first thing he wanted to win back was his phone so he could keep up with your recent uploads. even when you aren’t posting something figure skating related, your miniature q&a sessions were entertaining enough to keep him awake for the rest of the night, much to reo’s dismay (he wanted to sleep early for once).
the best thing reo had gifted him were a pair of tickets to see you perform at one of the biggest skating rinks in the country. nagi was almost shaking in his seat in excitement, eyes wider than saucers when you stepped into the arena with the prettiest outfit known to man. you blew kisses and waved to the audience, giving them your signature smile. you suddenly stopped in your tracks to deliver a long kiss in nagi’s direction, something that sent him into an early cardiac arrest.
your relationship with him blossoms after seeing him at the local convenience store. the two of you had awkwardly reached for the same cup noodle. even though you were dressed in a simple, oversized black hoodie and a mask that hid half of your face, he easily recognized you by the sound of your voice. nagi’s phone would have dropped to the ground if it wasn’t for you catching it midway. when the screen lights up with a picture of you as his wallpaper, you smile and type in your number, throwing his phone back to him as you take the cup noodle and leave.
you and him would text consistently. after every practice he would immediately rush over to his phone to see if you had left any messages. expect a lot of back and forth photos. nagi’s pictures consisting of things he saw that reminded him of you while you sent him photos of yourself at practice or a recent choreograph.
imagine how shocked your youtube fanbase is when you show up with your 6’3 boyfriend who barely shows up on camera because hes too tall for your tripod. you’re teaching him how to ice skate and although he started as a wobbly giraffe, he easily picked up a lot of tricks. he might not be the best at doing jumps but his footwork was impeccable (you like to tease him about switching careers but he lazily replies with his face in your shoulder about how much work it’ll be).

"You sure are being a pain about this." There's a tired sigh, one that hadn't wanted to be so direct - but this woman was clearly intending on not letting up. For her sake, she needed to tell them exactly the way things are. "Listen to me, girl." She sounds cold, a habit and front to scare off others.
"Feeding on a boar would be better than snacking on me. My blood is toxic. It could kill you. Is that what you want?"
"A boar? Do I look like someone who's going to resort to an animal to feed on of all things?" Then again was it really any different then asking a complete stranger in the woods the same question? It didn't help that the more she spoke the more Architect wanted to keep going and commit fully to it.
"But that sounds really good. Come on lady I'm drying up over here. I walked into this forest stiff as a nail and now I can't even keep my fingers and toes from jittering all over the place. I feel like a lima bean ready to jump out."
Maybe she wasn't making such a good case for herself. She always thought vampires were supposed to have this really good charisma to allow anyone under their sway. But the rate she was going nothing was getting accomplished at all...

Under the Weather
Green eyes, blonde hair. In some ways the stranger reminded her of the month of march, of four leaf clovers and sunflowers. Green stem, yellow petals. A pretty, pleasing visage... which made this request all the more embarrassing. First impressions were important to Kiana, but times were tough and her body was not behaving itself. She never knew a nose could run like this in the first place.
"Umb. Hey, sorry. @leybeth Do you habe a dissue or someding?"

this is how it feels, to fall in love with you (pt 2).
₊˚ ᗢ kazuha x gn!reader, angst with a happy end.
⤷ based on d4vd's "this is how it feels."
The Raiden Shogun had tried everything in her power to break through the ice. She had hundreds of her soldiers line up with their weapons, hammering away at them with everything they had. She thought with their years of experience and training, they might have been able to break at least a single petal. But at last, even with months of trying, it never chipped. Even during hot summers, the ice never melted. It only rained small droplets of snowflakes. A special kind that would last a little longer than a regular one.
Mothers and children found it interesting to see that they were shaped like maple leaves. The flower would always drop more and more during autumn. They began to wonder if the person inside once loved someone. And loved someone you did, dearly. As you live in his memories, he does in yours.
The Shogun notes that it was a hydrangea flower. It was beautiful and prideful, every flower surrounding you seemed so meticulously crafted that even the wisest and oldest of Inazumans couldn’t replicate it. She understands from her scholars that they mean forgiveness. However, she does not know who it is directed to. She is certain that you were not begging her for forgiveness. For you were a hindrance to her plan. A thorn in her side to this idea of eternity. And now you remain encased in layers upon layers of ice, unable to be broken free from your prison.
Perhaps you were asking your husband for forgiveness. She laughs to herself. Someone of your noble status cares so much to a dying clan, sacrificing not only your family’s legacy but also your dignity for a fugitive. In this unbreakable ice, you will remain still for months, years even. It was humorous. She laughed a little while longer but couldn’t help but feel her voice die out shortly. A pitiful koto player who dreamed of playing the shamisen on open waves was reduced to nothing more but a statue placed on display. It was a cruel fate, she admits. To put you on a pedestal for all who oppose her. Though it was a lesson that needed to be taught.
A sakura-colored fox likes to whisper in her ears though. Stories of your love for the autumn-colored man. She thinks of it as a tragic tale. Two lovers destined to be far apart. It has become popular with the small children and youth that she decides to push a small book about it. The Shogun dares not to dabble in such things. She does not see the meaning behind your sacrifice. Nor does she understand your desire past eternity.
She presses her hand against the surface, feeling slightly sentimental. There was a strange sensation coming from you. Though your body may have frozen the tips of her fingers when she pushed hard against it, it sent shivers down her spine. The kind she could only feel when beside her beloved. She notes that beneath these layers of ice was the love that she longed for. Love that she couldn’t comprehend. When she stared at your floating body, she couldn’t help but press against the front of her chest, searching for a heartbeat.
She wonders if these visions, blessed by her and her so-called acquaintances, possessed more than just control over these elements. If they could breathe with life just as humans did. Or even share aspirations. They could reflect a person’s inner being, something that she as a god couldn’t see. Perhaps this is why the Cryo Archon gave you her acknowledgment. She must have seen something in your future. Did she predict this lonesome future for you? Or did she save you? Was it your love that kept you away from the Shogun’s grasp?
Whatever the answer was, you would remain here, waiting for someone.
When Kazuha steps foot into Inazuma once more, alongside the Traveler, he felt the winds call to him. They were louder than ever and so he decides to enter the courtyard with a small disguise. Tugging the large straw hat over his eyes, he glances around the small stores.
A lot of things haven’t changed, and he doesn’t think of it as something to be proud of. Shops that he has grown to love, and storefronts that housed hundreds of customers have all stayed the same. When he peers to the left, the smell of sweet dango entices him. It brings back memories from when you and he would walk through brightly lit festivals.
Your hand once held onto his tightly as you smiled. He still remembers the beautiful yukata you wore during the summer, and how the moon shined a light on your skin. The feeling of your warm hand wrapped around his calloused fingers felt lovely. Your laughter had always cheered him up no matter how ugly you might think it sounds. Memories crept up on his mind and it took everything in his power to push them at bay. He wants to remain focused on this mission. For it would dictate the future of Inazuma.
A small child pushes past him with a giggle. He watches as they held up a small snowflake, shaped like a maple leaf. His heart stops beating for a moment. The boy leaps up into his mother's arms as she coddles him, plucking the leaf from his hand and raising it to the sun. It slowly melts away as the two of them smile and leave. And with this, his legs push him towards the sound that grows louder. If he could describe what it sounded like, he would have said it was someone crying. He rushes past the crowd and reaches the center of Inazuma, where you rest peacefully encased in ice.
His eyes widen in horror as he runs towards your body. Men call out to him for his reckless behavior but his ears are deaf to the noise. His hands press against the surface desperately as he grows teary. If you were to see him now, would you still cry? Would you get mad at him for abandoning you? For not doing enough to get you off this wretched island? The cold doesn’t bother him as much as the ache in his heart. If anything, it was comforting. The only thing he could have felt from you.
So this is where you were.
Trapped in this ice structure for months on end. Alone. Crying. You were put on display for Inazuma to see. For them to receive your love that was meant only for him. He could feel his knees grow weak as he leans his forehead against the statue. His body was beginning to feel weak and his stomach was growing ill. He resists the urge to throw up.
You look beautiful as ever. Even when you were caked in dirt and grime, when your clothes stayed the same as that night, you haven’t changed. Perhaps you’ve aged just slightly but it was nothing compared to your radiant smile that he so desperately wishes to see. Oh, how he wishes he could hear your shamisen. For those fingers to entangle themselves in his blond locks. To hold him close when he cries.
He has never once forgotten about you. When he recites his poetry, he thinks of you. When he presses a leaf against his lips to create a melodious tune, it was for you. The Captain of the Crux Fleet had once asked him if he loved someone as dearly as he loved freedom.
It did not take him long to conclude that he had loved you. Perhaps since the day you met him in the crowds after your performance. When the two of you shook hands underneath the glorious moonlight, or when he reached out, your name ripping itself from his throat on that very night, there were many times he fell in love with you. Days felt lonesome without your laughter. Hours were long without your songs. And minutes felt deafening.
But he is here now, back in Inazuma to oppose the Raiden Shogun. Here to create the dream that you and he thought of. A place that the two of you could live freely in. He wants to hear your shamisen once more. To see you play over open skies with nothing more but a smile on your lips. He wants to see the look in your eyes when they shine with determination.
He presses his lips against your icy statue, swearing that by the end of it all, he would return for you. Even if the lands were to shake with thunder, or the ground splits in half, he will remain by your side. Just as you’ve been waiting for him, he will wait for you.
He leaves with a slight smile. Thankful that he was able to see you.
The day the Vision Hunt Decree ended was the time Inazuma felt the blossom of a flower. The Raiden Shogun raised her head to the sky in interest, letting out a laugh as she stared down at the Kaedehara clan’s child. The look in her eyes said enough about the situation. The land of eternity watched as icy maple leaves fell from the clouds.
When one lands on Kazuha’s hands, he took no time to run to the center of the courtyard. Traveler and his companion Gorou only looked at each other before chasing after the man. The two heard stories and were desperate to see if you had awoken from your slumber.
Gasps and cries echoed throughout the land. The blond-haired man pushes through the crowd and held back his cries when he sees that the ice was melting. Water filled the courtyard as women and children watched in awe as soldiers break through the statue, freeing themselves. They are wet and confused, they look around as people gathered around.
Families ran towards their men, mothers holding their sons in their arms as they wept in joy. They were alive. Unscratched and scared of the future, but alive nonetheless. After months of praying they reunited with their children and fathers. It was a happy sight, the Traveler comments. What they were truly interested in though, was the way Kazuha slowly approached your figure.
He pressed his hand against your exposed cheek, gliding his thumb against it softly as he whispers. From the waist down, the ice was still melting. He pushes back your hair to see your face. He sees that your chest was slowly breathing in the air once more, and it only takes a few more seconds until you open your eyes. With trembling hands, you reach out to hold onto him.
“You came back,” You whispered, albeit with a weak voice.
“I wouldn’t leave without you,” He pushes his forehead against yours, the warmth of his body comforting you. “I missed you.”
You laugh, unable to contain the happiness that has blossomed in your heart. He pulls you close to him as you smile brightly. He has grown much older now. A lot more mature than the last time you saw him. And you think that long hair fits him well.
Holding onto your hand he kisses the ring on your finger, looking deep into your eyes as he smiles: “I love you.”
A cheeky look you have. Pushing yourself forward, you wrap your arm around his neck, pressing his lips against yours for the first time in years. He felt his body melt alongside the ice. His now muscular arms reach for your waist, tugging you out of the ice as you both bask in the sunlight.
“I love you too.”

"Are you... trying to lecture me?" This of course is said with an improper mouth full of wild mushroom. It tastes disgusting, but she can't let the stranger take notice of how much she regrets her hastiness. ( Though it's plainly written on the difficulty she has with swallowing the plant. ) "You aren't my mother. Worry about yourself."
She says, shoveling another mushroom into her mouth out of spite. It's unclear whether the rumored medical effects of the mushrooms were taking action or not, but it certainly tastes like bitter medicine.
Jill has foraged for food plenty of times before, so she knows what it is like to be curious about what nature has to offer. And yet she can't stop the horror that forms on her expression as Kiana suddenly takes one of the mushrooms and eats it without any hesitation.
"You mustn't do that--!" She says, much like a mother would. "We don't know anything about these mushrooms. If they're attracting the wisps, it's possible that they're not safe for us to eat."
In this world, she doesn't have her usual items with her -- Meaning that if Kiana were to suddenly become sick, she would have to find one of the native NPCs to help. Jill frowns deeply, floating closer to the girl out of concern.
"Hopefully you don't become ill... Try not to eat any more of them, alright? If you're hungry, we can head back to town and return here afterwards."

"I was actually pretty curious about your weapon." She taps her own, holstered and snug against her thigh. "I sorta came here and all I got were these bb guns." And a scoff. "Can you believe that?"
Normal strolls tended to become something to pass the time when Mika needed a bit of "alone" time all to herself. While talking her mouth off to anyone could easily solve that issue sometimes people didn't want to listen to whatever the student had going on in her mind. It didn't really make much sense to Mika but to anyone who had held a conversation it wasn't surprising in the slightest.
So when someone came down the street approaching her directly rather than some bump into each others sides it was surprising to say the least. But giving them the time of day rather was going to be much more enjoyable then being alone...
"Do you need something?" With hair like that it was pretty hard to miss the person in particular. And that was coming from the one who wandered down streets with pink hair and wings on her back...

Of course the stranger - who reeked of acute death - was afraid. When one is walking through the forests of Airaisal, one doesn't expect to run into Unholy. Feral beasts and the like, perhaps. Not such a hellish presence, whose horns and red eyes foreworn of something sinister. Still, Kiana can't help but feel at least a little offended. After all, this is her camp. As close to home as a hermit like her can make. Searing eyes linger on Haru, quizzically, and then find their way by to the intruder.
"Yeah, you are passing through. My camp." There's a sternness in her voice, born out of concern. There was a rather good reason she was separated so far from society on a daily basis. Somehow, it always manages to find her, though. At the very least, she doesn't feel a threat swelling within her at the moment... so, she affords the stranger some length of leniency. After all, if she was a young lady in need... it'd be unladylike to turn her away. She hasn't forgotten that much, at least. "You must be lost, or weird as hell. Where are you going that brings you out here?"
@infinality
Heart would have beat against her chest if she had it beating at least. She can't feel anything, but she is nervous. If there's one thing she'd like to avoid, it's fighting. She swallows thickly and Haru lands on the undead's shoulder, watching the unholy being in front of them.
"I-I'm just passing through." Hanabi manages to say through a rather timid voice. She even has her hands up to indicate she means no trouble.

As if the compliment carried weight the fire cracks a log in half, settling the pile of wood and letting rise a wave of embers to the sky. The tough and taciturn front she puts on to dissuade others from lingering breaks for a moment to give way to a tiny, flattered, and amused smile. A hand places itself upon one of her horns, self consciously.
"And you're a pretty honest girl, aren't you?" Not that she can say she's any better. On a normal day, under normal circumstances, Kiana's often the first to blurt out such truths. Letting a girl go by without telling her how pretty she is... it's a crime! But here, in this moment... it's better to turn inward. Just until things are... fixed, and that unnatural urge for cruelty goes away. "Thank you."
At the very least, she can afford genuine gratitude before sighing into the flames.
"The reason people stay away is because I want them to. For their sake." By nature, she isn't a vindictive, cruel person... but the blood, the influence, she's been there before. Something not her own, but something so deeply rooted within... something dangerous. The matter melts away the levity following Hanabi's compliment. "Some people hunt me for their war, or out of fear, but they all learn their lesson. Word spreads, for better or worse."
"In the end, these horns and this blood are trouble. Trouble for me..." Her red eyes reflect the flame, peering across to Hanabi from beneath brows. A look of warning, stern and unbiased. "...and for you."
Unspoken but the message is clear. This kind person (yes, even if she was closed off, she was still kind) was allowing for her to stay. She'd help. Hanabi gives a silent thank you and as she's about to sit, the lady's words stops Hanabi from sitting down.
"Y-Yes..." She's aware. Even here...So many were actually hunted. The war was....
Hanabi wasn't used to being in it. Seeing it in visions because of spirits was a whole different kind of experience after all.
Hanabi hovers for a bit before finally taking a seat respectfully in front of the other. She watches her curiously.
"Uhm...What you are, is that the reason why they stay away or...?" There's a pause and then,
"You're very pretty." THAT was supposed to be kept inside her own head. Even as an undead, Hanabi can feel some form of heat indicated embarrassment. Fuck.

"If you need it so bad, go chomp on a boar or something. Plenty of wildlife to pick from around here."
A 'sugar rush'. Of course she's heard of it, of course she's experienced it. Something so juvenile though... it wouldn't be worth the risk. Why does it have to be her blood, anyways? She repeats herself once again, carrying a hefty tone of warning.
"Drinking my blood would be like eating salt when looking for a sugar high. Trust me, you should just go on your way."
She keeps insisting she move along, but she knows this wasn't the sort of person she could wholly turn away. A person in need was a person in need, after all.
"Nono I like...really really need it." Despite not getting any permission at all Architect managed to push herself next to the individual, a mix of fear and thirst circulating throughout her body. It wasn't something she really enjoyed having to deal with but desperate times called for desperate measures.
"It's like a sugar rush. You've had those right? I'm so jittery having something that I don't even feel like myself."
Which said a lot for someone who was usually much more upbeat and happy. Being shackled down by someone was one thing but something completely out of her realm of control was one way to tick the doll turned vampire off...

She can figure why. Running and hiding, both talents Kiana had become closely acquainted with during her time as a runaway. And so, running and hiding were both very much matters the Valkyrie could assist this girl with, stranger or not. Though, before offering assistance, she does keep an ear out for anything that might have followed the zombie. ( That must be what she is, there's no doubt about it. It sends shivers down her spine, twists her stomach. )
After contemplating and evaluating the trouble to morals ratio, she's quickly accepted this sudden task. Confident that they have time to chat in the open, Kiana returns to her seated position and continues rotating the skewer cooking over flame. Without revelation, without a motion, nor with emotion, Kiana seems to open her doors to the zombie in need... 'make yourself at home' might not be the words being spoken, but it's clear that the young woman has no intentions of ousting Hanabi.
"Normally, zombies are killed on sight." Even if they were once a fellow Valkyrie. Especially then, as a matter of fact. A promise, a creed. A nightmare. "But... I bet a lot of people would say that about someone like me, too." Someone like me. Someone like I was.
But... she was given this chance to live by mercy and compassion. A lesson she'd never forget, even if she turned into some devilish 'monster'. The roast turns over quite a few times before she speaks up again, eyes locked on the flames before her.
"You don't need to be quiet. Unlike people, the beasts know to stay the hell away."
She does not look or sound pleased. Hanabi can feel her cheeks flushing with embarrassment but also a sense of massive guilt. "I am so sorry, I---" and therefore, she stumbles over her words. It's probably painful to listen to. The way she tries to juggle the words that comes out and failing miserably in doing so.
"I'm not lost." She says, almost quickly. At least she's able to find the words now. "I'm just....looking to hide somewhere." Hanabi lowers her head in a bow "I promise I'm not trouble at all. I'll be quiet. You won't even know I'm here. I will be dead silent."

Yet again, the unlikely happens. Civilization finds a way to her. Not long after the strange stranger makes their presence known, she's requesting... donations? So much for isolation... but, if this person was in need...
"Donations? For what? And who?" And then she realizes... 'waiting for the sun to go down'. Having begun her life here in that kingdom... it's easy enough to pick up on what this person was requesting. The fact that she was asking so blatantly was evidence enough that she was something of an oddity... but at least, not a monster. Maybe she was like herself, a kind heart not befitting the form. She throws her own hood down, as something of... perhaps a show of solidarity.
"Oh... you... don't want that. You should keep moving."
So a long enthusiastic walk through the woods seemed to be in the plans for Architect. Not for any particular reason but seeing as she didn't want to get handpicked from some group of people wandering around in a public place a nice nature walk seemed to do the trick.
Of course she didn't expect others be out in the middle of scenic nowhere. Or well one singular person. Out here the only reason a normal person would come by is to try and get themselves into trouble. Anyone else that didn't fit under that bill was just as much of a freak as the next.
"Hey there! Not many people really come out to these woods you know." Which just made running up to the one sitting down off the beaten path even weirder. Not to mention the two of them being here with hoods up would make anyone suspicious.
"You wouldn't happen to be available for a quick donation right? Wandering around all afternoon getting me all tired. And waiting for the sun to go down is going to be way too long.

Relatively easy, yes. However, it wasn't the simplicity of the task itself that attracted her. When difficulty is considered, she was the sort of young lady who would always venture towards challenge. In this case though, there was something else that caught her attention: the contents of the request.
"A few, yeah." Fire, shredding them to pieces, upending the earth beneath them. Strenuous, and risky... especially the first. Especially if the fire comes from her.
As Jill ponders their options, the possibilities, and the consequences of each... Kiana seems to be taking a more direct and experimental approach. She's been circling around the mushrooms, kneeling and observing them closely. Stealthily smelling them for a whiff of something profane. And when she's decided that the rewards outweigh the risks --
-- wordlessly and without warning, she rips one morsel from the ground and carelessly tosses it into her mouth.
It's a relatively easy task, all things considered. Plucking out some pesky mushrooms to make some just as pesky wisps go away doesn't sound like it would be too difficult, only time consuming.
Jill looks thoughtfully at the dirt path before her, hand resting on her chin. At the moment there's no swarm, so she has time to think about the best way to do this.
"We need to fully discard the mushrooms," she muses aloud. "If we just uproot them and leave them somewhere else, then I worry the wisps will go there with them. The citizens will still get hurt in that case."
Perhaps they would have to quickly head back and acquire some sort of bag or crate to stuff them in. Or she could freeze them, long enough for someone with the proper experience to come take care of them without risk of being shocked. She shakes her head, looks to the young girl beside her.
"Do you have any ideas? The wisps will be back soon."
