Chacha! Thank you for the ask, it really made me think! owo 💭 - In a world where the train ride lasted longer, what do Rengoku and Tanjiro dream of?

Oh man i don't know, i haven't ever thought about that… hm. If Enmu's goal was to make the person as happy and comfy as possible before shattering that, first i think Ren might have been put a bit further back in his life in the dream, where his mother was alive. Like how Tan had basically fallen back into the routine of life on the mountain so easily, i think Ren could as well. His mother might recover, or at least live longer. He and Senjuro would continue training under their father's guidance, Shinjuro never becoming an abusive drunkard… Maybe in the dream Senjuro's nichirin changes color. Ren would be so ecstatic and proud and Sen would be his tsuguko and they'd fight together and alongside their father. Ah maybe he even dreams of the current mission, meeting Tanjiro and the other two. They don't yet know what demon is lurking so he could dream that they all fight and kill one strong one, or several smaller ones and save the day. Kyou would certainly want to take them as his tsuguko still, the more the merrier and the corps needs more strong members! He takes a particular liking to Tan, sees his determination and potential. Tan excels and becomes as strong as Ren, and Ren is so proud of everyone. He feels like they're all unstoppable now, especially working together! And when Enmu wants to screw it all up, his mother would die/be killed. Or maybe even both parents… even worse still, Senjuro too… Inosuke, Zenitsu, Tanjiro… everyone but Ren himself.

As for Tanjiro, similar thing. Put earlier in his life, his father lives/lives longer. Everything is just peaceful and happy. He watches his siblings grow, learns how to breathe like his father and performs the Kagura with him. Maybe years pass in the dream, Nezuko gets married and their family grows even more. Tanjiro seemed to be very happy in such a large family, so another member would probably be very welcome. Of course he'd be protective of Nezuko, maybe not-so-playfully threatening Nezuko's spouse that if they ever hurt her, they'd get retribution lol. Tan just dreams of a normal life, perfectly happy. Until of course Enmu strips it away. Could be anything terrible, but the same 'everyone but Tan dies' and Tan is devastated, broken….

So yeahhhh. That's my thoughts on that. lol.

First, absolutely. Sen and Mal being finally revealed as their true identities to each other after a winter of thinking they'll never see each other again? As the newest "opposing" leaders of their respective religions? Fucking delicious.

Second, I thought maybe switching them with their mentors would work...but with more thinking it just wouldn't work. That would be an entire rewrite with everything I have so far. The closest match I could maybe do that for, is to switch them with the main characters of my Primordial Square wip, Pippa and Ilia. Actually on second thought, no, it wouldn't work. Best bet would be Lira and Jem from Revenge of the Kashir actually.

-You decided that you would make it up to him, by running a bubble bath with toys

-You sigh and muster up a heartwarming smile while picking him up and heading to the bedroom

-You hear Atsushi sigh out of satisfaction then drift to sleep in your arms

-The next morning you woke up by a wight on your body, to find a sleeping grown up Atsushi laying upawn your chest
