29 years ago, the "Seemann" music video was released on this day (8th of January, 1996).

To quote Richard regarding the mv setting (x): "Und als ich dann das Set gesehen hab', dachte ich, 'Was'n das für'n Kram, eh...'".

("And when I saw the set, I thought, 'What kind of stuff is this, eh?'")

And Schneider regarding the outfits: "Ich erinnere mich gut, dass wir alle ständig über irgendwas uns aufregten. Als wir vor allen Dingen angezogen worden sind, und dann in irgendwelchem Leder und Lendenschürzen dann da rumstanden, das fanden wir überhaupt nicht gut..."

I watched Rammstein's Seemann music video because for some reason I haven't before and I just love that the video theme seemed to be: "Till Lindemann got his chest waxed and goddamnit the entire world is gonna see"

Rammstein: Seemann

One of my favorite Rammstein songs come from their first album, Herzeleid, and it's one of their slower works that they keep thinking they're good at. The thing is, this sad morose tale of a drowning sailor fucking works and is liable to make one feel like they're lost at sea no matter where they are.

Day 4 - In Sand

It is probably not extremely unpredictable, but how could I not pick young, clean-shaven Oliver in sand, playing a five-string headless bass?

Seemann is one of Rammstein's music videos that many people seem to dislike. I actually enjoy it. It is also interesting that while most of the guys had their hair cut for this, Oliver still has more hair in this music video than in most others.
