when was the first time you heard elvis

don’t judge me. this is very hard for me bc for some reason i don’t remember a lot of my childhood/teen years. i know i saw lilo and stitch tho so i probably heard him but didn’t pay mention attention. then in 6th grade i know we did a 50s music performance and i’m pretty sure hound dog was part of that show, i would probably remember more from this had i not had a solo for a different song.

BUT i can at least remember when i heard him that got me started with all this. i watched the elvis movie and i loved the music in the movie. before i watched the movie, i was having a moment with music where everything i listened to wasn’t interesting in the slightest and i would skip every song. it was getting annoying. but after i watched the movie and realized i liked the songs, i put on some elvis and was able to actually listen to songs all the way through without skipping

what’s your favorite era

it’s so hard to choose a favorite era. but i will say that late 60s early 70s puts me on the floor rocking back and forth in a cold sweat while repeating “daddy? sorry. daddy? sorry.” over and over again for hours on end.

absolutely. i truly cannot see my love for elvis changing. he changed my life and i will be eternally grateful for that. he came into my life when i needed him most and taught me love and passion again. my love for Elvis will never go away.
