Chapter Ten:
The silence drags out. I dare not move a muscle as Odin stares at my hand. My eyes flicker between the gods that stand before me and then down at the object in my hand. The worn leather of Mjolnir sits comfortably in my hand. It’s weight is heavy but comfortable. The presence in my head swirls around my head and it occurs to me that the presence is mjolnir. She lends me more confidence and I stare down Odin, challenging him, silently.
At the sight of my defiant stare and mjolnir in my hand, Odin backs down, slightly.
“Say that you speak the truth of Loki, what is it that you would have me do?”
“Release him, if even to the custody of myself and the Avengers. We need him in the coming times. We need to present a united front…”
“My dear,” Frigga starts, stepping closer to me. “You never stated what is exactly coming.”
“He knows to whom I speak” I turn and finally make eye contact with Loki. It’s almost unperceivable but for a brief moment, fear crosses through his eyes before uncaring indifference finds its home once again.
I face Odin again, “Well?” I cross my arms, resting mjolnir against the opposite shoulder.
“Very well. Loki, you will be released to the custodian of Y/N of Midgard. Should you do anything against the people of Asgard, it will be her who is responsible.” At his declaration, the chains melt off of Loki who simply sneers at Odin.
“Lastly, I need access to the bifrost and your vault. In exchange, I can give valuable information and aid Asgard in its times of need.”
“You shall have it,” Frigga states, stepping closer to me. Her hand cups my cheek and gives me an expression so filled with adoration that my heart jumps to my throat, before dropping her hand to look at her husband with a stern expression.
“My Queen…”
“No, I have sat by and watched for far too long as you push our son to the side. This mortal wants to help us and him. She is obviously one of virtue,” she gestures to the hammer in my arms, “would we not be wise in listening to what she has to say?”
“So it shall be.” Odin sits down and stares at me once more.
“I have my part to play in this, but so do you. Your father lied to you as you do to your sons.” I can almost hear a growl low in Odin’s throat. “The Dark Elves are not gone, nor was the Aether destroyed. Leave the aether to us.” I gesture between myself and the two brothers standing on each side of me. “But before we can, your highness stated that you would assist me in the development of my powers?”
“Of course, my dear. But I do believe it’s been a long day for you. We can discuss more in the morning. I will have a meal sent up to your chambers and we shall reconvene in the morning.” At her statement I bow my head slightly in her direction before glaring at Odin. Odin glares right back with a menace in his eye before Frigga steers him to the doorway behind the throne and exits the room, for what I am sure is a long discussion.
I smile to myself and turn to look at the two gods left with me, “So, shall we?” I smirk before starting to walk in the direction of the doors that I arrived through earlier. I stop near Thor and hand him Mjolnir,
“I believe this belongs to you.” I give him what I think is a friendly smile, and turn to Loki and wink. “No mischief while on Asgard,” and pull open the door.
As the door goes to shut behind him I can hear Loki turn to Thor,
“I like her”
I make my way through the hallways and for some reason I am able to find the doors to my chambers without getting too lost. I push them open to find Gravyn waiting for me.
“I’m here with your supper and to help you get ready for the night.” I appreciate that she has dropped the formalities and she busies herself with laying out a nightgown and tending to the braids in my hair.  My now silver locks fall to my shoulders in cascading waves as her hands nimbly undo the braids. As she slowly takes it apart I can feel the energy surge from earlier leave my body.
I start to sag in my seat and slowly snack on the plate of various meats and cheeses before nibbling on a piece of bread.
She finishes with my hair, “do you need any further assistance in getting ready for the night?”
“No thank you Gravyn, will I see you again?”
“It would be my pleasure to assist you during your stay.” She gives me a small smile and exits the room.
I sigh and quickly change into the long sleeve nightgown and pull down the covers and climb into the large elegant bed. The silk sheets caress my bare legs as I settle in for the night. Tomorrow begins the adventure of my life in earnest. My eyes slip close and my last thoughts are of the familiar love that I received from Frigga, and the comfort of Bruce and the others at the tower.

Pride and Prejudice
TITLE: Pride and Prejudice CHAPTER NO./ONE SHOT: Chapter 57 AUTHOR: wolfpawn
ORIGINAL IMAGINE: Imagine Loki was raised on Jotunheim as Laufey’s son after the war, but an agreement was then made that he would wed Odin’s daughter so Odin could secure the alliance of Jotunheim through the marriage. Loki, in turn, was raised to be king of Jotunheim, but how he views Asgard is far different from how Odin’s daughter is raised leading to a clash of cultures as well as uncertainty between the pair of betrothed youths.     RATING: Mature   NOTES/WARNINGS: Forced Marriage, not all fun and games. My first real step back into the Loki scene in over a year.

“My King.” Loki forced himself out of his thoughts and looked around at his mate. Seeing the polite and kind smile on her features, he smiled back slightly. “What is worrying you?”
Loki sighed. “It is all under my watch now. Anything that happens, I must oversee it, work those it affects through it.”
“You do not have to do it alone, you have your brothers by your side, Arden, your father, and if all else fails, you perhaps can resort to talking to me.”
Loki could not prevent the little huff at her comment. “You know you are at the top of any list of those I would rely on.” He looked over at her again. “Though I don’t think I will have to look far, will I?”
“I will be where you need me to be.” She placed her hand on his arm reassuringly. “It is my duty to assist you as much as I can.”
Loki’s brow knotted slightly at that statement. He wondered if she only wished to help him because of a sense of duty to the fact he was her mate. “Which duty is that?”
“The one where I do not want to be the one they all point the finger at when you turn into some power-hungry brute who thinks he can take on a Bigelsnipe barehanded and win before being gored to death.”
Loki’s face turned to one of horror at such a thought, he stared at Ella whose face was one of poised calm for all of a moment before she laughed. “I am jesting.”
“You are the picture of royalty the majority of the time, then you do that,” Loki growled.
“I like to keep things interesting,” Ella commented playfully. “I finally got to speak with my mother again.”
“I thought you said you were conversing with her through everything?”
“I was, but face to face is far nicer. She finds the difference in customs so difficult to grasp sometimes.”
Loki noted the change in Ella’s tone even before she did. “What concerns does she have?” In truth, Loki wanted to say something far more clipped about the Vanir born Aesir monarch but he remained neutral, knowing that by the manner in which Ella was speaking, she accepted the differences and arguing them on behalf of Jotunheim.
“About childrearing and childbirth mostly. In Asgard, the father being present is not the norm, you see.”
Loki knew that and found such a thought repulsive. Not assisting your significant other through such an even was too foreign for him to comprehend. “It is overseen by a Healer, like that one that came to attend to you when you were ill?”
“Correct, yes. To ensure both mother and child have immediate medical attention should they require it,” Ella explained.
Loki noted the apprehension in her features. “You wish for such?”
“No, I do not require such, I have learnt every spell I could to safely assist our child from me if things were to take a sudden turn for the worse.”
Loki shuddered at such a thought. It had, of course, occurred in the past that some dams died in childbirth but the size of Jotnar females to the size of infant’s birthed made it something of a rarity. Going by Ella’s comments and indeed the size of her growing stomach, it was clear that the child she bore was of considerable size and she was indeed lithe in comparison. “You fear something happening to you?”
“I just consider everything so that I am prepared for anything.”
“Your preparations for the more negative side of things always unsettle me.”
“Then my request for you to have a measure in place as a last resort in case all else fails is not going to go down well either,” Ella looked at Loki’s eyes to show her seriousness.
For a moment, Loki could not think of what she could see as a last resort, but then her eyes flickered to his wrist for a moment and horrified realisation came to him. His head shook side to side before he could even find his voice. “No.”
“Yes. if it’s me or him, choose him, please.” Ella’s voice, though small was filled with certainty. “Cut him out if you have to.”
“But you…?”
“I am talking the worst-case scenario, if I have something prepared for that, then I feel I can concentrate on more likely and important matters,” Ella explained. “I have no plans to die any time soon, especially when I have a son to raise.”
Loki studied her features. “You wish to raise him? I thought that on Asgard…?”
“Do you know what made me actually look forward to starting a new life here, away from everything that ever made sense to me?” Loki shook his head slightly, he had never figured out why she had been so willing to come to Jotunheim. “I was reading about how family units are here. I was startled by the multiple mates part at first, obviously, but then I read something that caught my attention and made me look forward to the life I was to lead. I read that the moment a child is born, it is held by its father who cuts the cord and holds it to his chest so it can learn his scent before being brought to its mother and is not taken from her. The only time they are parted is so the father can tend to it and give her some rest, but all three remain together for a time until the other mates are introduced and assist also, but she remains the primary caregiver.”
Loki did not say anything, this was by no means news to him, he knew full well what she was saying was entirely true of the ways of the realm.
“The thought of such, it sounded idyllic. Too good to be true. Even at the beginning, when you loathed me, when we only did what was required to create a child because it was demanded, the one thing that gave me comfort was that I would be the caregiver for the child that would come to be. That I would have them if I had nothing else.”
Loki felt his throat tighten at that confession. He never thought she would think in such a manner. He also recalled his thoughts at the beginning, when he forced himself to couple with her, how any child that came from such a union was to be removed immediately from her presence because of some preconceived notion in his mind that she could not possibly care for a child. Now, he realised that if that had occurred, it would truly have been a fate worse than death for her. “I thought initially that you would not be interested in such a role as a dam.” He felt it right to confess such, even if it led to something uncomfortable.
“Initially, we both thought a lot of things that were entirely wrong, didn’t we? Thankfully, with time and effort to look past such, we learnt that we were both wrong and we are all the better for it now. Or I think at least.”
“Are you admitting that you have been wrong in the past?” Not wanting to focus on the negatives of the past, Loki tried to lighten the mood once more.
“I am rarely wrong but I can be and more importantly, I can admit to such.” She smirked.
“I can admit to my wrongs,” Loki argued.
“Under pain of losing your position of heir to the throne and when you put another on their deathbed, perhaps. Try not to make them the only times you such. A good king admits his faults...in private only for the most part, of course.” She winked as she stated the last part.
“And only then to his closest confidantes, of course.” He smirked.
“But of course.” Ella smiled in return. Seeing the stress in his features fall slightly, she walked behind him, causing Loki to look at her curiously before she put her hands on his shoulders and dug her fingers into the muscles there.
At first, Loki found her actions hurt but when she continued, he realised that she was alleviating the tension in them, the tension that had been building for longer than he wished to admit to. His moan at her actions was somewhat guttural.
“Better?”
“Incredible,” Loki did not even attempt to say anything but the truth.
“You are not required for anything for a time. Lie on the bed and I will see what I can do to help with that.”
Though his shoulders were tender from her actions, Loki could not decline such an offer. He did as instructed and went to the bed where Ella instructed him to lie on his front before she got onto the bed behind him. Loki looked around worriedly but his worry was quickly removed when she placed her hands on his back and began to rub into the muscles there, her hands magically becoming lubricated with some sweet-smelling and soothing liquid while she did so. Loki wondered where Ella had learned such witchcraft. Her hands were soft and relaxing as they pushed into his aching muscles. He loved every moment of it as she focused on each area, the feelings of tension dissipating as she did so.
When Ella finished, she proudly looked at her mate resting comfortably and contently on the bed. “Better?”
“Much better.”
Ella laughd at Loki’s muffled voice as a result of his face being into the pillow. “Good, you are not needed anywhere so just relax.”
“If I am, send one of your doppelganger things.”
“Naughty, that is not how you should be thinking,” she admonished. “You are king now.”
“All I wish to think about right now is to rest with my mate by my side for a time.” He reached around until he felt her hand before urging her gently to lay onto the bed beside him. “That is even better.”
“Get some rest.” Ella urged. After a few moments, when Loki’s breathing was steady and it seemed like he was asleep, Ella studied his features carefully. Partly because she was studying them as she did their child’s to see what one’s he would inherit from his father, the other part because she simply liked acknowledging her mate was indeed quite handsome, if not slightly peculiar in relation to what she was used to from growing up. But in thinking that, she also knew part of his appeal was in his personality. Behind the austere man she met the day she was brought to Jotunheim, a caring and selfless creature resided, one who put his realm before himself. Smiling, she toyed with his hair for a moment before leaning over and pressing her lips gently to his temple. She was unsure why she did it. When she pulled back, she was startled to see Loki studying her face curiously, his eyes confused having been woken from his slumber by her.
She was about to apologise when he pulled her close to him, pressing their foreheads and noses together and sighing contently.

Chapter 4
Pairing- Loki x Reader, Thor x Reader( Best friends)

Loki heads into the Vault, sees the Casket of Ancient Winters sitting on its stand. He walks over to it slowly, reaches out to it, lifts it between his forearms off its pedestal. As he does, a blueness spreads from his arms, across his body. The latticework behind the Casket starts to separate, the Destroyer rousing. A fire starts to glow within its black metal armor, as it rattles to life, but Loki ignores it -- the blueness spreading further, consuming his whole body.
“Stop!” Odin shouted.
Loki turns, sees Odin hurrying into the room, the Destroyer goes motionless, the latticework rejoining before it. Odin eyes Loki with dismay.
“Am I cursed?” Loki questioned.
“No. Put the Casket down.” Odin replied.
Loki sets the Casket back upon its pedestal, his body quickly returning to its normal form and color. He stares at his father.
“What am I?” Loki asked in a curious tone.
“You're my son.” Odin Said Sincerely.
“What more than that?” Loki started. Odin doesn't answer. He looks suddenly weary, burdened. Loki sizes him up, realizes the truth.
“The Casket wasn't the only thing you took from Jotunheim that day, was it?” Loki finished.
Odin looks him in the eye. He can deny it no longer. “No.” Odin answered. “In the aftermath of the battle, I went into the Temple, and I found a baby. Small for a giant's offspring -- abandoned, suffering, left to die. Laufey's son.”
Loki is sent reeling by the revelation.
“Laufey's son...” Loki trailed off as he desperately struggles to make sense of it all. “Why? You were knee-deep in Jotun blood. Why would you take me?”
“You were an innocent child.” Odin replied.
“No you took me for a purpose, what was it?”
Odin doesn't answer. “Tell me!” Loki shouted.
Tumblr media
“I thought we could unite our kingdoms one day, bring about an alliance, bring about a permanent peace... through you. But those plans no longer matter.” Odin explained.
“So I am no more than another stolen relic, locked up here until you might have use of me.” Loki expressed.
“Why do you twist my words?” Odin Asked.
“You could have told me what I was from the beginning. Why didn't you?” Loki urged Odin for the truth.
“You are my son. My blood. I wanted only to protect you from the truth.” Odin stressed.
“Because I am the monster parents tell their children about at night?” Loki proclaimed loudly.
“Don't...” Odin trailed off.
“It all makes sense now. Why you favored Thor all these years.” Loki shouted.
“Listen...” Odin wheedled.
“Because no matter how much you claim to "love me,” you could never have a Frost Giant sitting on the Throne of Asgard!” Loki yelled.
Odin's body begins to shake, he lifts his hand. It starts to move out of synch temporarily, leaving a trail, the effect of the Odinsleep approaching. Loki doesn't notice as Odin tries to fight it off.
“Listen to me!” Odin shouted. Loki strides away towards the exit. “Loki!” Odin starts towards him, when the enormous mental, emotional, and physical strain of recent events finally takes its toll. The effect of the Odinsleep consumes him. His entire body now moves out of sync with the rest of the world, leaving trails behind him as he staggers backwards. Odin falls back against a wall, his face contorting in a scream. He collapses to the stone floor. Loki, shocked, hurries to him. He takes Odin in his arms, calls out. “Guards!”

Cars, pick-ups, and SUVs are parked around the crater, the sound of a boisterous party coming from within.  It looks like the whole town has turned out. Locals sit on  lounge chairs, drink beer from coolers, laugh and talk. They watch the center of the crater, where large men have formed a line to take a turn with the mysterious object. One of them struggles and fails to lift it. As he gives up, the next man steps up and takes his turn, straining from the effort. Other Townies snap pictures of the scene with their cell phones.
They hear an approaching rumble, then clear a path as a large pick up truck  backs its way down the crater's edge. An eager townie  hops out the passenger side and pulls a thick chain from the back of the truck. He fastens one end around the object, then securely affixes the chain to the bumper and the rear of the undercarriage.
“This'll do it.” He yells to the driver. “Okay, let 'er rip!”
The townsfolk watch as the pick-up's engine roars, then  strains, its wheels spinning futilely, until finally the rear of the truck, along with the back wheels and axles, break off and go flying.
People dive out of the way. The pick-up driver sticks his head out. He is STAN "THE MAN” LEE. He looks back, shocked. The townsfolk laugh, the party continuing. They don't notice as --on The Crater’s Edge above them An imposing Government vehiclepulls up to a stop. A Fed in a suit climbs out, peers down at the boisterous gathering Below, his eyes fixed on the object at the center of the crater. He is  is Shield agent Coulson. He stares down at the object which glows with an otherworldly blue energy -- Mjolnir. He pulls out a phone.
“Sir -- we've found it.” Coulson says into the phone.

In a back room, Thor, now shirtless and wearing jeans, looks around for a t-shirt. Jane, Y/n, and Darcy, standing in the lab, can't help but notice his reflection in the mirror. Darcy eyes his powerful build, rippling biceps.
“You know, for a crazy homeless guy, he's pretty cut.” Darcy commented.
“He’s not a homeless guy well technically he is right now.” Y/n explained well at least try to.
Jane turns away. Thor emerges from the back room, holding a t-shirt.
“Hey, sorry I tased you!” Darcy you called out and Y/n laughs.
Thor heads over to Jane's work area, starts fiddling with the equipment there with interest. Jane hurries over to put a stop to it.
“Excuse me... excuse me!” Jane yelped as She leads him away from the work station. Thor holds up the t-shirt. On the front, it bear a sticker which reads- hello my name is Dr. Donald Blake. Thor looks at it, puzzled. Jane rips the sticker off.
“My ex.” Jane started. Thor stares at her a beat. “They're the only clothes I had that'll fit you. Sorry.”
“They will suffice.” Thor replied as  turns, his attention to the pictures of the Bifrost on  the wall.
“You're welcome. Now tell me...” Thor studies the frame-grabs with interest. Jane points to his form in the Bifrost photo. “What were you doing, in that?” Jane asked.
He glances at it, dismissive. “What does anyone do in the Bifrost?” Thor asked.
“Portal?” Y/n answered.
Everyone stares at Thor and Y/n. Erik seems to recognize the word. Jane opens her notebook, quickly writes the word down. Thor moves close to her, eyes the notations and drawings within the book, curious.
“The Bifrost...” Erik said in amused but also  skeptical way.
Jane starts to get uncomfortable with Thor standing so close to her, looking over her notations. She quickly closes the book.
“What exactly is the Bifrost?” Jane questioned.
“This mortal form has grown weak.” Thor announced.
“But--Somebody get the mortal a Pop-Tart.” Jane noted.

Frigga sits at her husband's bedside, holding his hand. Odin lies there -- looking pale and lifeless, his body and the space around it warped from the effect of the Odinsleep. The walls of the chamber have moved close around him, protecting him like a dark crypt, sealing off any daylight. Loki sits at Odin's side, across from Frigga. She speaks  softly to him. “I asked him to be honest with you from the beginning. There should be no secrets in a family.”
“So why did he lie?” Loki wondered.
“He kept the truth from you so that you would never feel different. You are in every way our son, Loki, and we your family. You must know that.” Frigga informed Loki. Loki takes this in, stares at Odin. “You can speak to him. He can see and hear us, even now.”
“How long will it last?” Loki asked
“I don't know. This time is different. We were unprepared.” Frigga answered.
“I never get used to seeing him like this. The most powerful being in the Nine Realms lying helpless until his body is restored.” Loki disclosed.
“But he's put it off for so long now, I fear...” Frigga trailed off. Loki takes her hand. She's grateful, wipes tears from her eyes. “You're a good son.”Loki sits there, uncertain how to react, uncertain how he really feels. “We mustn't lose hope that your father will return to us. And your brother.” Frigga told her son.
Loki looks to Frigga, concerned. “What hope is there for Thor?”
There's always a purpose to everything your father does. Thor may yet find a way home.” Frigga said without a shadow of doubt.
Loki looks troubled by the revelation. He rises, heads for the exit, when they hear the clatter of armored footsteps hurriedly approaching.
The Einherjar guard  enter the room, block his way out. Loki tenses, prepared for the worst, but the guards just stand before them. Loki is baffled.
“Thor is banished. The line of succession falls to you. Until he awakens, Asgard is yours.” Frigga remarked.
The Einherjar kneel before the shocked Loki. Another Einherjar enters, holding Gungnir before him. He kneels before Loki, offers the spear to him.
“Make your father proud.” Frigga proclaimed.
Loki reaches out tentatively, then takes it. He likes the feel of it in his hand.

Thor, Y/n ,Erik , Darcy, and Jane sit at a table in the local diner. Selvig and Darcy watch as Thor eats ravenously from a huge mound of steak and eggs. A couple other full plates --pancakes and biscuits and gravy -- are piled high before him.
Jane's eager, her notebook at the ready.
“Now tell us exactly what happened to you last night.” Jane voiced. Thor looks her in the eyes, staring, intrigued. Jane gets flustered, looks away. “Maybe start with how you got inside that cloud.”
“And how you could eat an entire box of Pop-Tarts and still be this hungry.” Darcy wondered.
“Big man bigger appetite.” Y/n Stated.
Jane shoots her a withering look. Thor downs a cup of coffee.
“This drink. I like it.” Thor announced.
“Yeah, it’s great, isn't it? Isabela makes the best coffee in town.” Darcy declare Thor.
Thor hurls the empty mug at the ground, shatteringit “Another!” Thor called out.
Tumblr media
Isabela, the diner's proprietor, glares at Thor  from behind the counter.
“Sorry, Izzy. Little accident.” Jane told the older lady.
“Yo voy a pagar la taza.” Y/n told lzzy (I'm going to pay for the cup.)
Isabela turns to Y/n  and starts venting quickly in Spanish. “¿Viste eso? ¡La primera vez que trae a un hombre aquí, y él es un lunático!” (Did you see that? The first time she brings a man in here, and he's a lunatic!) Y/n is laughing her ass off.
“What was that?” Jane questioned in an irritated voice.
He doesn’t understand. The other patrons stare at him.
“It was delicious. I want another.” Thor answered.
“Then you should just say so!” Jane proclaimed.
“I just did.” Thor Replied.
“I mean ask for it. Nicely.” Jane corrected.
“I meant no disrespect.” Thor disclose.
“All right, then no more smashing, deal?” Jane told Thor.
“You have my word.” Thor promised.
“Good.” Jane noted.
A few townies, looking bedraggled, enter and take a seat at the counter. We recognize them from the crater. (Among them  is the Drunk Townie Jake, who is not presently drunk.)
“Morning, Pete. Jake.” Isabela greet the man.
“The usual, please, Izzy.” The man replied
Isabela pours them a couple cups of coffee.
“You missed all the excitement out at the crater.” The man told Isabela.
“What crater?” Isabell asked.
Y/n and Jane overhear this, exchange a look, turn to the Townies with interest.
“They're saying some kind of satellite crashed in the desert.” Pete Answered.
“We were having a good time with it till the Feds showed up, chased us out.” Jake explained.
Satellite I think that’s the Thor’s hammer.
“Excuse me, did you say there was a satellite crash?” Jane asked Townies.
“Yep. They said it was radioactive. And I had my hands all over it.” Jake confirmed. “I'm probably sterile now.”
Thor, unconcerned, prepares to dig into the giant pile of pancakes. Darcy is amazed by the sight.
“Oh my God, this is going on Facebook.” Darcy whips out her cellphone. “Smile!” Darcy tote Thor. Thor smiles  as she snaps a photo of him and his massive stack of food.
“What did the satellite look like?” Erik Chimed in.
“I don't know nothing about satellites. But it was heavy. Real heavy. Nobody could lift it.” Jack. Explained.
This gets Thor's attention.
Y/n projects one of her thoughts to Thor. It’s your hammer Thor.
Thor springs to his feet, heads over to Drunk Townie Jake, and pulls the Townie around to face him.
“Where?!” Thor demanded.
“About twelve miles east of here.” Jake answered nervously.
Thor grins, his spirits soaring, as he quickly strides out of the diner with Y/n hot on his trail.
“I wouldn't bother! Looked like the whole Army was coming in when we left!” Pete called out to Thor and Y/n.
Thor studies the position of the sun, gauging his bearings. Jane, Darcy, and Selvig catch up to him and Y/n.
“Where are you two going?” Jane question Thor and Y/n.
“Twelve miles east of here.” Thor Replied as he follows Y/n to her car. Jane walks with him.
“Why? And why are you going with him questioned Y/n.
“I’m going to helping him.” Y/n answered.
“To get what belongs to me.” Thor said without missing a beat.
“So now you own a satellite?”Jane questioned sarcastically.
“It's not what they say it is.” Thor replied.
“Whatever it is, the government seems to think it's theirs. You intend to just walk in there and take it?” Jane wondered.
“Yes.” Thor noted. “If you come with  me there now, I'll tell you everything you wish to know.”
“Everything?” Jane wondered.
“All the answers you seek will be yours, once I reclaim Mjolnir.” Thor told Jane
Darcy looks to the others."Myeu-muh?" What's "Myeu-muh?" Darcy said confuse.
Jane studies Thor.
He looks sincere. She's nearly swayed, when -“Jane. Y/n.” Erik called for Them.
Erik pulls Jane and Y/n aside. Thor can tell that Selvig doesn't much care for him. “Please don't do this.” Erik stressed to Jane and Y/n.
“I think we should here him out.” Y/n said giving a knowing smile at Thor.
“You know what we saw last night. This can't be a coincidence. I want to know what's in that crater.” Jane expressed.
“I'm not talking about the crater. I'm talking about him.”Erik corrected.
“He's promised us answers.” Jane replied.
“He's delusional! Listen to what he's saying! "Thor." "Bifrost." "Mjolnir." These are the stories I grew up with as a child!” Erik explained.
“What if he’s telling the truth what if he really is the God of Thunder.” Y/n said trying to reason with Erik.
“Really you actually believe him. He hit his head when Jane hit him he’s not the god of thunder!!” Erik voiced.
“We just can’t abound you hit him twice I won’t do that look i’m not leaving him he needs help and I’m going to help him. Y/n declared.
“I’d just be riding with him and Y/n out there, that's all.” Jane explained.
“It's dangerous. He's dangerous.” Erik replied.
“So Am I and you asked me to be here so what’s the difference between me and him?” Y/n asked.
After a moment, Jane nods at Erik. They head back over to Thor and Darcy.
“I'm sorry. I can't go with you and Y/n.” Jane told Thor.
“I understand. Then this is where we say goodbye.” Thor Accepted. He takes her hand and kisses it.
“That's... thank you.” Jane giggled.
Thor bows slightly to each of them.
“Jane Foster... Erik Selvig... Darcy. Farewell.” Thor replied. He and Y/n gets in her car heads off down the street.
“Early you said you know who I am.” Thor Announced.
“I do you are the god of thunder.” Y/n replied.
“How is it you believe me when the others didn’t?” Thor questioned.
“I can reads.” Y/n answered taking her eyes off the rode for a second. “That’s how I woke you up in the hospital before.”
“Really your truly a mind reader?” Thor Asked.
“I know what happened with the Frost Giants and how you got here you were banished by your father Odin.” Y/n answered
“Wow... this is amazing how long have you been able to do this?” Thor wondered.
“Ever since I was five I can also control the weather too.” Y/n Remarked.
“You can what..” Thor Stated as he looks around the car he sees it begins to snow.
“This is extraordinary.” Thor beamed.
“I’m glad someone thinks so.” Y/n said smiling. “But we’re not going far.
Erik looks worried and relieved.
“Now... let's get back to the lab We have work to do.” Erik told as him  and Darcy turn and start to go. Jane looks after the car as they drive away down the street.

Sif joins the Warriors Three as they hurry towards the Throne Room. Two Einherjar Guards enter, admitting Sif and the Warriors Three, who burst through the entrance, heads bowed.
“Allfather, we must speak with you.” Sif urged. But as they raise their heads, they stop short to see -- Loki Sitting sprawled upon his father's throne. He wears his horned ceremonial headdress and holds gungnir in his hand. Sif and the others look up, shocked at the sight before them.
“What is this?” Volstagg Questioned.
“My friends... you haven't heard? I am now Ruler of Asgard.” Loki informed them.
“Where is Odin?” Fandral Asked in a curious tone.
“Father's fallen into the Odinsleep. My mother fears he may never awaken again.” Loki answered.
“We would speak with her.” Sif replied.
Sif and the Warriors Three exchange a look. Loki notices.
“She has refused to leave my father's bedside. You can bring your "urgent" matter to me, your King.” Loki declared
Sif covers quickly. “We would ask you to end Thor's banishment.” Sif voiced.
“My first command can not be to undo  the Allfather's last. We're on the brink of war with Jotunheim. Our people must have a sense of continuity in order to feel safe in these difficult times.” Loki remarked.  Sif and the Warriors Three trade looks, not liking any of this. “All of us must stand together, for the good of Asgard.”
“Of course.” Fandral replied
Sif and the Warriors Three bow their heads and exit. Loki stares after them.

Jane, Selvig, and Darcy head up the street. They're by Arturo's, when a pick-up Truck pulls up before them, stopped by traffic. In the back of the vehicle, Jane notices, partially covered by a tarp, the dark matter analysis machine from her lab.
“Hey! That's my stuff!” Jane called out.
Jane, Selvig, and Darcy reach the lab, where government vehicles are parked. Shield Agent haul equipment out of the lab and load it into waiting vans. Other Agents strip all the equipment from inside the Pinzgauer and cart it away. Still others emerge from her trailer, arms loaded with scientific instruments and documents.
“What the hell is going on here?!” Jane barked at the Agents but they  ignore her as Agent Coulson approaches.
“Ms. Foster, I'm Agent Coulson, with Shield.” Coulson informed them.
Erik, recognizing the name of the organization, grows wary.
“I don't care who you work for, you can't do this!” Jane voiced loudly.
“Jane. This is more serious than you realize. Let it go.” Erik Chimed in.
“Let it go?! This is my life!” Jane remarked  angrily.
“We're here investigating a security threat. We need to appropriate your equipment and all your atmospheric data.” Coulson disclosed.
“By "appropriate"  you mean "steal?" Jane corrected.
Instead of answering, Coulson gives her a check. “This should more than compensate you for your trouble.” Coulson replied.
She throws the check to the ground without looking at it. “I can't just pick up replacements  from RadioShack! I made most of that equipment myself!” Jane exclaimed.
“Then I'm sure you can do it again.” Coulson pointed out.
“And I'm sure I can sue you for violating my constitutional rights!” Jane told.
“We're the good guys, Ms. Foster.” Coulson reported. He tries to walk away, but Jane blocks his path. She is fully herself, fueled by outrage.
“So are we! We're on the verge of understanding something extraordinary.” Jane started. Jane holds up her notebook. “Everything I know about this phenomenon is in this lab and in this book, and no one has the right to take it from me.” Jane finished.
Coulson gestures to a nearby Agent, who promptly plucks the notebook out of Jane's hands and adds it to the pile he's carrying. Jane is stunned.
“Thank you for your cooperation.” Coulson announced.
He gets into a car. The cars and trucks pull away.
Jane,Erik, and Darcy enter, staring in shock at the now-empty space.
“Years of research, gone.” Jane cried out.
“They even took my iPod.” Darcy confessed.
“And your back-ups?” Erik questioned.
“Look around! They took our back-ups. They took the back-ups of our back-ups.” Jane explained.
“I just downloaded, like, thirty songs on there.” Darcy told.
“Will you please stop talking about your iPod?!” Jane barked at Darcy then she looks over to Erik.
“Who are these people?” Jane asked Erik.
“No one knows much about them. But I knew a scientist -- a pioneer in gamma radiation. Shield showed up, and he was never heard from again.” Erik answered.
“I'm not going to let them do this. I'm getting everything back.” Jane declared.
“Please, let me contact one of my colleagues. Dr. Pym or Dr. Munroe they had some dealings with these people. I'll e-mail them  and see if one of them can help.” Erik insisted.
“They took your laptop, too.” Darcy Chimed in.
Annoyed, Erik thinks.

Erik and Jane in the Pinzgauer drive up in front of then town's rinky-dink library. A sign in the window reads, "Free Internet.”
“I'll just be a minute.” Erik told Jane as He climbs out and heads inside. Jane looks down the street and sees something that intrigues her.
Thor and Y/n enters the store. Thor approaches a pet store clerk While Y/n looks at all the animals.
“I need a horse.” Thor announced.
“Thor they don’t sell Horse.” Y/n answered.
“Ya, we don't sell horses. Just dogs, cats, birds.” The clerk agreed with Y/n.
“We’re just here to kill time for Jane to find us.” Y/n told Thor as she starts to play with some bunnies.
“Right well Then give me one of those, large enough to ride around town for now.” Thor replied.
“You can’t ride any of them you would squish them with your weight.” Y/n disclosed.
The Pet Store Clerk looks confused. Just then, Thor and Y/n hears a car horn . They turn to the open door. Across the street, Jane calls out to them  from the Pinzgauer.
“You still have room for one more?” Jane wondered.
“Ya come on Thor.” Y/n replied.
Y/n and Thor walks out the pet store to the truck and Jane gets out the driver seat so Y/n can drive.

It's story time in the library, as a LIBRARIAN reads a book --"THE SECRET HISTORY OF GIANTS"-- to a group of kids.
"And though they're large, giants can be quiet. You have to listen carefully for the sound of their
footsteps -- because they may be closer than you think." The librarian shared  with the Group of kids.
Nearby, Selvig sits at a computer terminal, finishing up his e-mail and his Text to Dr. Munroe. Beside him, a kid  flips through a book with interest. The Librarian stops mid-story and calls to the Kid pleasantly.
“Joshua, come sit down. It's story time.” The librarian voiced. The Kid closes his book and joins the others. Selvig looks over, notices the title of the book the Kid was reading --"MYTHS AND LEGENDS FROM AROUND THE WORLD."
He picks it up, flips through it, stops at the section on Scandinavian Mythology. It's a picture of a Rainbow bridge  coming down from Asgard to earth. Asgardians walk upon it, among them Odin, Loki’, and Thor, who wields Mjolnir. On the ground below them, a group of  vikings kneel reverently. He eyes the illustration, pondering.

Jane's Pinzgauer cuts off the road, heads over the rugged terrain. Storm clouds roll in over the desert sky. Y/n drives. Jane is pumped with adrenaline, nervous and excited, as Thor sits beside her, upbeat and eager for battle.
“I've never done anything like this before! Have you ever done anything like this before?” Jane asked in a curious way. Thor looks amused by her excitement.
“All time he’ll I think I’m doing it right now.” Y/n answered.
“Many times. You're brave to do it.” Thor replied.
“I all time. Hell  I think I’m doing it right now.” Y/n murmured.
Thor chuckles at Y/n. She is one funny mortal he thinks.
“They just stole my entire life's work. I really don't have anything left to lose.” Jane
“Who is they.” Y/n questioned in a serious tone.
“Erik said there Shield some law-enforcement organization they came and took everything.”
Y/n’s whole demeanor change. How the hell did they catch on so fast? How am I going to protect Thor if they find out what he is it’s over. The clouds outside turn a dark gray.
“But you're clever. Far more clever than anyone else in this Realm.” Thor said voice soft with affection
"This Realm?" Why do you talk like that?” Jane wondered.
“You think me strange?” Thor asked.
Jane laughs, catches herself. “Yeah. Just a little.”
“Good strange or bad strange?” Thor wondered.
“I'm not quite sure yet.” Jane answered as She looks at him, sees him staring at her. She's lost in his gaze. There so lost in each other that they don’t see the distress that Y/n in, being lost in her own thoughts of what’s going to happen. The pinzgauer lurches off the road. She quickly snaps out of her thoughts and regains control of the car.
“Sorry.” Y/n announced. Y/n glances at Thor through that review mirror and, he can see that something is troubling her but before he can ask her on the  matter Jane speaks.
“Who are you? Really?” Jane queried.
“You'll see soon enough.” Thor told Jane.
“You promised me answers.” Jane Remarked.
“What you seek -- it's a bridge.” Thor answered.
“A bridge? Like an Einstein-Rosen Bridge?” Jane guessed.
“More like a rainbow bridge.” Thor corrected.
“God, I hope you're not crazy.” Jane declared.
As the Pinzgauer heads away, we continue up a hillside, revealing a light illuminating the valley beyond. As we move closer, we see the glow comes from -- A Massive Shield Base Now set up around the crater -- vehicles, trailers, barricades. Armed Guards man a gate in the razor wire fence that runs fifty yards from the crater's edge, enclosing the complex. Clear, plastic access tubes with junction boxes lead to a translucent cube structure erected in the middle of the crater. Through the glass walls of the base's command trailer, we see Coulson directing technicians, busy at work. Within the cube structure itself, a team of Shield scientist work with high-tech machinery, analyzing the object at the center of it all -- Mjolnir.
Y/n, and Thor crawl to the edge of the ridge, look through binoculars, see the impressive shield base.
“Look I know how important this to you but We can go to Home Depot and get you a hammer.” Y/n insisted as she tries to pull Thor way from the edge. Thor doesn’t budge and looks at Y/n.
“Your worried about about me?” Thor wondered.
“Of course I’m worried you don’t know how these guys work if they catch you it’s over. There’s no way I’ll can help you get back home.” Y/n answered.
Thor puts a comforting hand on Y/n’s shoulder. “I will be fine I have been in worst situations before and I’m still here.” Thor explained.
“I that is real reassuring thank you.” Y/n replied Sarcastically.
Jane walks up to Thor and Y/n with a concern look. “Hat isn't a satellite crash. They would have hauled the wreckage  away, not built a city around it.” Jane disclosed.
Thor shrugs out of his jacket and hands it to her.
“You're going to need this.” Thor commented.
“Why?--“ Jane trailed off.
Thunder rumbles overhead. She stares at him intently and takes his jacket.
“Y/n are you doing this?” Jane questioned.
“No this isn’t but I think I know who is.” Y/n answered.
“Stay here. Once I have Mjolnir, I will return what they stole from you—Deal?” Thor Remarked.
He looks to Jane then Y/n, already knowing that Jane will take put but Y/n will disobey his request.
“No! Look what's down there! You can't just walk in, grab our stuff, and walk out!” Jane proclaimed.
“No.” Jane looks relieved. “I'm going to fly out.” Thor replied.
Before she can react, he starts heading towards the crater. The first drops of rain begin to patter into the dust.
“Wait...” Jane trailed off. But Thor is already headed towards the crater.
A  Needle spikes on a handheld sensor device. The technician holding it looks over at the hammer. Mjolnir begins to give off a subtle glow. A bolt of lightning cracks across the sky above.
A younger shield agent, a techie in a headset, monitors security. A junior, looks on, none-too-pleased.
“Feed from the keyhole. Can barely penetrate the cloud cover.” The Techie hikes a thumb at another monitor, squelching with static. It shows an SAR shot of the area, laid over a terrain map. “Tech's barely working as it is, with all the interference that thing's giving off.” He gestures towards the hammer. He checks a computer. “Hey, we've got a commercial aircraft coming in right over us, Southwest Airlines Flight 5434.” Techie disclosed.
“Reroute it, like all the others.” Sitwell ordered
“Right. Can I get the passengers some free drinks for the trouble?” Sitwell glares at him. “It'd be a nice gesture.” The Techie types into the computer, when he notices something on another screen, holds up a hand. “Hold a sec... we got something outside the fence, west side...”  Techie trailed off. Techie points at the screen. Through the haze, it shows a  thermal image huddled beside the fence.
“DeLancey, Jackson -- check it out.”  Sitwell said into the radio.
Back at the top of the Cliff Y/n is using her telepathy to track everyone in the facility. She picks up on the conversation Sitwell is having with one of the Techie. They found you Thor keep your guard up two coming your way. Y/n broadcasted her thought to Thor. Back down at the Base a pair of Shield Agents(DeLancey and Jackson) take off in a jeep to investigate. Sitwell looks out the window, something strange catching his attention. The window's reflection that a glow is coming from the hammer containment area.
The jeep pulls up as the Agents scan the fence with an flashlight, see nothing unusual.
“Looks like we're good here. Must have been another coyote.” Agent Jackson seven to the radio to Sitwell. Just then, the Agents notice a section of the fence has been bent up from the ground, leaving a gap. Before they can call it in, a massive crack of lightning illuminates the night sky -- revealing the silhouette of a large man standing outside the driver's (Jackson's) side of the jeep. DeLancey looks over, notices.
“Jackson?” DeLancey hesitated. The Agents reach for their weapons. Thor elbows the driver across the jaw, causing him to drop his weapon. Jackson slumps over the steering wheel, as DeLancey starts to raise a shotgun at Thor.
Thor grabs the barrel, yanks it out of DeLancey's hands and thrusts the hilt back, smashing the Agent's jaw. Thor reaches into the jeep to grab a rain slicker.

Magic and Misfortune (Loki)
Pairing: Loki x Reader
Word Count: 3.6k
Request:  “I haven’t found someone that writes as well as this for the MCU for a while😂 I’ve seen AUs where gods from different cultures are in one universe and I’ve got a little scenario in my head that sounded pretty cool. Loki x reader who’s a daughter of Zeus. If you could write something like this, that would be AWESOME! Thank you!!😊💕” - Anonymous
Notes: So... I love the idea behind this fic. Not just the request, I love the Greek myth I am reinterpreting and basing it on, and anyone familiar with this particular myth will see how well it fits with Loki. BUT I think my execution here might be a touch lacking, and I’m kinda disappointed in myself and im not sure why really, so if anyone has any opinions, ideas or constructive criticism let me know. I reserve the right to turn this into a series or make this a standalone if I decide not to write part two. It works as both.
*This fic has also not been edited and that’s part of why

There were more than Nine Realms. A point Asgard, particularly its king, often refused to acknowledge.
The space between the Nine and the realms beyond was enough to excuse Aesir ignorance for those not amongst the royal court. When one wasn’t dealing regularly with other realms, it was easy to imagine Asgard stood alone, or at least above the rest, and it was effortless to pretend that Odin ruled all of the known worlds.
He was Odin, after all. He was the All-Father, the Ancient One, the Great King. The stories said he was all seeing and all knowing. The Aesir thought him a man worthy of the crown atop his head. They thought themselves without equal, above all. None held this belief more than Odin.
Tales of his great conquest of the Nine Realms had died on the lips of those few old enough to know them, and many saw him only as their benevolent lord. Few knew the stories of the wars Odin waged. Not the wars against the Jotunns, those were bedtime stories of the Aesir. The subjugation of Vanaheim; the decimation of Alfheim; the destruction of Niflheim: these were stories only for the ears of those most trusted to the King and those so persuasive and cunning that no secret was beyond their reach.
It was Loki, therefore, who was the first to make contact with Gaia.
They were the realms closest to the Nine. Compared with the size of the universe, Gaia was practically within arm’s reach of Midgard, so close that even humanity was aware of their existence. An accessible and fortuitous target for the supposedly all-powerful King of Asgard.
But Gaia was no Midgard, and Asgard was not so without equal as they claimed to be. Gaia was the doorstep on which Odin had paused.
Gaia was an alliance of three kings, each with their own kingdom: Olympus, ruled by Zeus; Tartarus, ruled by his brother Hades; and Arcadia, ruled by the final brother Poseidon.
They were constantly at war with each other, but nothing united the three like an external threat over which they could display their dominance. When Odin had set foot at the base of Olympus, a truly majestic realm if there ever was one, Zeus had called on his brothers, currently warring over an insignificant, miniscule ice realm known as Hyperborea. They set aside their feud and arrived before nightfall, and Odin, upon meeting the three, had left by morning.
As a child, upon first coming to the realization of his father’s war-riddled past, Loki had asked his father why he never told them stories of how he united the Nine Realms. Odin had told Loki that he thought violence nothing worthy of praise and that his millennia of peace with Jotunheim was far more worthy of tales than any battle.
As a man, upon hearing the stories and seeing his father for who he truly was, Loki thought the story of being humbled at Gaia was likely the true reason Odin did not speak of conquering the Nine Realms.
Loki knew the tale by heart, and he wanted to see the place of its birth. He wanted to see the place Odin could not claim, the place Odin accepted defeat, or at least retreat.
“Father,” Loki’s silver tongue went to work. “Perhaps, we might speak of Gaia.” He had been careful to catch the All-Father alone. It would prove easier to sway him this way, and he would not be shut down by the presence of those who were less aware than himself.
“What of it, son? They do not bother us, and we do not bother with them.” Odin dismissed offhand as he sat with his younger son in the library.
“I would like to see the place, Father.” Loki confessed. “In part, I confess, for my own curiosity. I will never sit on the throne of the Nine Realms, and for that, I’d like to see what lies beyond the throne’s purview. Though, I suppose the greater part is in the usefulness of spying Asgard’s greatest threat.”
“Threat?” Odin eyed Loki over the top of the text he was reading. “How are they a threat?”
“There is no doubt, Father,” Loki rushed to sooth, “that you and Thor and the armies of Asgard could handle an onslaught from three oafs like the ones ruling Gaia, but even a battle against three so unskilled would still cause Asgard loses given their sheer size. Does it not worry you that one day, after you are gone, they will grow discontent to fight amongst themselves? Or worse, see us as weak without your omnipotent guidance?”
“It may be worthy of thought, but your brother has trained for such a thing. Defending the Realm Eternal is his birthright, and he will do it well.”
“I suppose, but the lives lost…” Loki sighed and looked away contemplatively. “Though, I suppose you are correct in that. The only way to prevent such a battle entirely would be to claim the three as Asgard’s newest realms, and who’s to say such a thing is possible? We know nothing of them since your return from their shores.”
Loki watched his father from the corner of his eye. All of Asgard knew of his ‘silvertongue’, as they called it. Yet, somehow, they all allowed themselves to be goaded into his thinking. Perhaps, because he managed to convince them all that it was their thinking he was commenting on and not his own. How many times had he convinced Thor to do something so thoroughly that the God of Thunder actually thought he himself had come up with such an intelligent idea.
Odin conceded the point rather hesitantly, “We know nothing of their realms or their state. It is beyond the sight of the throne and of Heimdall.”
“Such a shame,” Loki mused. “After a millennia fighting themselves, they could be a hardened force beyond compare… or entirely obliterated and ripe for the taking… I suppose we will never know.”
If Loki could make Odin see Gaia as a place teetering between threat and opportunity, a place that could make or destroy his legacy, then surely Odin would take the bait. And if he could make that opportunity seem ripe for the taking, an opportunity to finally claim his title Lord of the Spear once more, Odin would be far too greedy to let the opportunity pass to Thor.
Loki let the thoughts stew in his father’s head for several weeks before he dropped another line about Gaia, then weeks later made another about the conquest, and months past that another about Thor’s coming reign.
It took two years before, finally, his father had slowly, subconsciously, been worked into a desperate need to, at the bare minimum, know what Gaia was doing. And there was only one man, one spy, with a tongue that could charm any ear and magic that could open any door, whom Odin would trust with the task.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Bifrost was built to traverse the Nine Realms. It was possible to further its reach, but such a thing would require time and attention that Loki and Odin did not wish to draw on their endeavours.
Loki, instead, was to walk the paths the All-Father once took to reach Gaia millennia ago.
He took a ship, piloted and manned by him and him alone, and he went out past the Rainbow Bridge, past the Bifrost itself. On the orders of the King, Heimdall’s sure hands sent Loki to Gaia’s closest realm, Midgard.
Midgard encompassed a solar system that encircled a star called the Sun. Only one of the planets was inhabited, a planet called Earth teaming with inferior beings who thought themselves alone in the universe. However, Loki didn’t need the help of the humans who bent the knee and called him God. Heimdall, instead, dropped his ship at the edge of the solar system, just past a planet the humans called Pluto.
From there, Loki navigated fields of asteroids and stretches of empty space, honing in on coordinates that were a thousand years out-of-date, so that he might have some starting point for his search.
It took him a matter of weeks before, looming on the horizon, Loki finally saw it.
He docked his ship amongst others porting on an exterior wooden scaffold and approached the towering walls of Olympus.
Magnificent marble gates, carved from a single piece of stone, loomed twentyfold over Loki’s head. Their height was such that he was sure they would conceal the entire Palace of Asgard from view if they wished.
Chiseled into their face, by the hand of a true master, were images he could only assume were from their realm’s history. The scenes wound their way in a serpentine motion down the stone with an intricacy the likes of which Loki had never seen. The dwarves would pale if they saw such flawless craftsmanship achieved by any hand but their own.
Much of the history presented to him was beyond his understanding, but Loki recognized the still that greeted him at eye level instantly. It was a famous tale on Midgard, one clearly founded in a kernel of truth.
It depicted three brothers standing side by side in triumph. Each held their weapon of choice, spears with an increasing number of points progressing down the line to the final brother’s trident. The marble wasn’t inlaid with anything, yet through the natural skill of its carvers the colors of the stone seemed to convey the varying material of each blade.
The men stood atop a form the size of a mountain but was clearly a body, decapitated, the head balanced under the right foot of the one holding the single-tipped spear. The dying face turned so it’s unseeing eyes looked down on any who approached the gate.
Crowds, carved in a far smaller height, pushed in around the massive headless beast and cheered on their new leaders who were flanked, in the background of the depiction by a stoic group of beautiful companions.
It was the Midgardian Kronos myth incarnate. Loki would know it anywhere.
He wondered, mostly to himself, if the sons really had killed their father, if they had simply taken credit for his death, or if they had merely indulged in some lighthearted propaganda. None seemed implausible.
“Who are you to approach the Gates of Zeus?” boomed a voice high atop the walls.
Loki bowed to one knee and called out, “I am Loki Odinson, Prince of Asgard, and I would be humbled to make acquaintance with your city.”
There was a loud scraping, and rather than parting as most gates would, the stone slab lifted from the ground only just high enough for Loki to pass under it.
“Welcome to Olympus.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Welcome to Olympus, Prince Loki.”
It was the fourth time he had been greeted in such a way.
The first had been the gatekeeper who allowed Loki entrance. He came down from the tower at the peak of the walls via the largest ladder Loki had ever seen, a set of rails and steps carved directly into the backside of the rock leading up to their guard tower.
The second had been the kindly older man who came to escort the prince through the pristine cobblestone streets to the palace.
The third had been the palace guard who asked the older man to wait with Loki a moment while he saw if any member of the royal court was expecting or wished to speak with him. Loki quickly informed the soldier that this voyage was one taken merely for pleasure, and that his arrival would be expected by none. The guard came back approximately ten minutes later bringing a beautiful young woman in tow.
She was the fourth to greet Loki, the first to do so using his title.
Her clothing was something more appropriate for a lowly servant girl than a member of court. The dress was a dull grey made of a scratchy, shapeless material that did nothing for her body or her coloring. If not for the way she carried herself, Loki would have believed hers the facade of a lowly maid.
As it was, shoulders high, chin up, back straight, she carried herself with the pride and respect known only to true nobility. It crossed his mind that there may be nothing to her outfit, that it may just be the style of the place; but he recalled many properly dressed ladies as he made his way to her doorstep. She certainly wasn’t lying or putting on a show for him; he would sense that. She truly did dress this way. Her garb served some different purpose, and the idea he would deduce it later was intriguing to him.
“Thank you, my lady,” Loki bowed to her as he would any peer on Asgard, airing on the side of respectful caution. “It is an honor to be welcomed in your beautiful realm.”
The woman smiled politely and offered Loki her arm. “I am afraid that if you came to see King Zeus you will be disappointed. It is a day of council, and our King and Queen are away with their advisors and will not return until tomorrow. The palace has been left in lesser hands.”
“That is quite fine by me. I did not come for any significant purpose.” Loki looped her arm through his and allowed her to guide him into the hall.
The palace was, like the gate, made of marble. Much of the streets and buildings he had passed walking in were similarly carved from blocks of a variety of beautiful stones, but it seemed that marble had been reserved for the rich and royal.
“What, may I ask, brings you here if it is nothing of importance?” The woman guided him smoothly through marble hall after marble hall, winding him deeper into the depths of her domain.
“Nothing more or less than my own curiosity,” Loki confessed. “Your people and mine have been without contact for so many centuries that there are some who believe your existence to be nothing more than myth.”
“And are you one of those?”
“Well, I am here,” Loki pointed out.
The woman nodded thoughtfully. “This is true, but you could have notions of what we were that remain to be disproven.”
“If they’ve yet to be disproven then how could I say they were myth?” Loki countered.
A genuine smile pulled at the woman’s lips, and Loki couldn’t help but return the gesture. It was rare that he was able to have intelligent conversations with anyone beyond his mother. He knew, for certain, that Asgard was teaming with wise and intelligent men and women ripe with knowledge, but Asgard never glorified such things. Those who did have a mind usually kept it hidden.
The woman changed the subject with ease as she pulled Loki to a stop.
“The main receiving room is here,” The door was nothing more than a beautiful, thick purple fabric, pinned or floating by some means Loki could not discern, between two columns forming the entryway.
“Thank you, my lady.” Loki stepped to the doorway, pausing to turn back. “Might I ask your name?”
“My name is (Y/n),”
(Y/n). Loki thought on the name as he passed through the purple curtain.
(Y/n) was certainly not a common name in Asgard. Nor, oddly, was it a name Loki had heard in his studies. Prior to arriving on Olympus, he had been sure to read the old Midgardian lore of its people. Like the myths of the Norse, he was sure there were inaccuracies. But the stories had to come from somewhere, and Loki knew better than most that there was always some truth to be discerned even from the tallest tale. Still, there was nothing of (Y/n).
“Prince Loki!”
Mere moments later, through the curtain Loki had just passed came the most vile woman upon whom Loki had ever laid his eyes.
It wasn’t that she was ugly; though Loki had to confess she was not at all something he would consider attractive. More, it was her presence.
The moment she walked in the door Loki found everything off-putting. The room was less grand. The floors less polished. The air less clean.
There was a toxicity to this woman that even Loki, prided for creating chaos and mischief wherever he went, found disconcerting.
“My lady,” Loki didn’t bow, instead greeting the newcomer head on. Something seemed wrong about showing this woman a spot so vulnerable as his neck.
The woman waved a hand, garishly bedecked in golden jewels that only made her fingers look all the more spindly and haggered. “I am Princess Eris. It is my understanding you would have no cause to know that, so I will let the informality pass.”
“Forgive me,” Loki conceded a nod of his head but nothing more, “Princess.”
“Think nothing of it!” With what Loki could only describe as a jump, the woman flung herself on the nearest of three settees that filled much of the space in the room. “You’ll forgive me, in turn, for sending the bastard to the door to greet you. I was not expecting any royal visits in the absence of my father. I needed the time to prepare myself but did not wish to keep you waiting.”
“The girl then, (Y/n). I had not heard her name before.”
“One of my father’s many bastards,” Eris gestured to the seat opposite her. “Please join me. I apologize. Of course, she did not inform you to make yourself comfortable. She fails at a great many things.”
“The occasional mistake cannot be helped,” Loki took the seat with a well-practiced grace and perched himself on the edge. “I must say, I have heard of you, Princess Eris, in the time I spent studying the stories on Midgard. I would have thought, with your family’s notoriety I would have heard of (Y/n).”
Eris rolled her eyes, “Midgard,” and scoffed. “Yes, well you wouldn’t have heard her name there. They got a great many things wrong in their tales, those humans. (Y/n) walked among them more than all of us. She often stooped to their level, and they were quite taken with her for it. Harmonia, that was what they called her, a far prettier name than she deserved. They thought it suited her, but alas they were wrong.”
And suddenly it all made sense to Loki.
Two sisters, dueling for all eternity, constantly trying to best each other in their own way. Eris, the selfish sister loved most by her family and their father, the entitled eldest who thrived on conflict and discord, who started the Trojan War.
He knew why Eris disconcerted him so, and now as he saw the ignorance in her eye and heard the condescension in her voice he could see and hear nothing but his brother Thor.
“Princess, might it be too much of me to ask your leave? It has been a long and lonely journey from Asgard, and it might benefit my skill of conversation if I first rested.”
“Of course!” Eris pushed to her feet and motioned back to the curtain from whence they came. “(Y/n) will be waiting in the hall. She can take you to a room.”
“You’re most kind.” And without another word, he fled.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Perhaps it is not my place,” (Y/n) began quietly as she walked by Loki’s side. “You do not look weary from your journey at all.”
Loki chuckled. He had a feeling he could trust this sister, if not for his own reasons than at least in his understanding of her relationship with Eris. “Well, perhaps I am not weary from the journey, but simply weary of the company.”
(Y/n) smiled, a knowing smile. “I imagine you would not be the first to tire swiftly in Eris’s presence.”
“Your sister is certainly an acquired taste.”
“She would not like to hear you say such things.” (Y/n) hedged quickly.
Loki’s eyebrow hitched up slightly. “Would she not? Surely she must at least be somewhat aware of her effects.”
“No, I’m sure she is. I was referring to the word sister.” (Y/n) jerked at the edge of her rough-worn dress. “Queen Hera was not my mother. Unlike most of the bastards born of my father, my mother was also nobility. I could not be so easily forgotten as the others, but I am by no means loved.”
“And how do you feel for this? Your sister, for she is whether she denies it or not, made her views very clear.”
Something dark, dangerous, flashed behind (Y/n)’s eyes. It was gone so fast that if Loki were not Loki he would not have seen her rage. “It is not my place to say. I am fortunate the Great Goddess shows me such mercies as allowing my presence here.” The voice that came from her was smooth, automatic.
The thought flashed through Loki’s mind one last time before he made an irreversible decision. ‘Her sister is just another Thor, another Thor not protected by Odin.’
Loki offered (Y/n) his arm as they rounded a corner and put a wall between themselves and Eris. “Now, now, (Y/n),” his tone, for the first time since his arrival, dropped its formality and reverence, taking on its usual teasing lilt. “You cannot lie to the God of Lies, nor do you need to.”
(Y/n) hesitantly accepted his arm but remained silent for him to continue.
“Tell me what ails you, and perhaps my knack for magic and misfortune can find a worthy hand to wield it.”

Can we fire JJJ??
Tumblr media
We would like to refer you to our last post.
We at the Daily Bugle understand that not everyone will agree with every article we write. That is why we encourage feedback from all our readers, and why we have often posted and replied to Letters To Our Editor. We encourage everyone to speak their mind and exercise their First Amendment Rights to the fullest.
That being said, there is a difference between constructive criticism, civil disagreement, and harassment. Notes such as this one fall distinctly into the latter category. Rather than wax poetic on the dangers of jeopardizing a man’s career and livelihood, we at the Daily Bugle would like to take this moment to speak a little bit about our Editor-In-Chief.
John Jonah Jameson II was raised by his mother Betty Jameson and his stepfather/uncle David Jameson. David was an officer of the United States Army and a decorated war hero, however at home his temper was volatile. He regularly abused his wife and step-son, and it was these actions that first opened JJJ’s eyes to the fact that “No one’s a hero every day of the week,” and “Even the real heroes can’t keep it up all the time.” Nevertheless, JJJ pursued noble interests and persevered, becoming a Boy Scout and joining the boxing and photography clubs in his local high school. He fought back against bullies, and one altercation involved three other men ganging up on him. JJJ managed to fight them back, and impressed the future Mrs. Joan Jameson. The two were wed shortly finishing school.
While still in high school, he began his journalistic career as a part-time reporter for the Daily Bugle. He attempted to continue his pursuits in college, but was unjustly rejected from his college newspaper because of a rivalry with the editor. However, with money obtained from personal assets and large inheritance, he was able to purchase the Daily Bugle many years later, rescuing this publication from a financial fallout. He revitalized the Bugle with his sense of direction and strong leadership, and despite what detractors may say, his top priority has always been an relentless, fearless pursuit of truth.
J. Jonah Jameson is outspoken. He is unafraid to speak his mind, as we all should be. For decades, Jameson has used his newspaper to crusade in support of civil rights for minority groups and against organized crime. His latter efforts have led to several attacks, including once nearly being killed on the orders of the infamous Kingpin of Crime. His brush with death, however, did not deter him from continuing to publish attacks and exposes of organized crime.
He was a devoted husband to Joan, and the two of them welcomed a son into the world, John Jonah Jameson III. John was one of the youngest applicants ever to be accepted into NASA’s astronaut program and he is a distinguished member to this day.
It is his love of family that led to Jameson’s outspoken criticism of superpowered individuals. His wife was killed in an altercation with a masked vigilante, the case remaining open and unsolved to this day. As for his son, John’s first mission into space was nearly derailed by a mechanical malfunction. A masked hero managed to reattach the Forward Guidance Package back to the craft, and John was miraculously able to regain control of the vessel. However, John’s accomplishment was all but forgotten in the face of the shiny new ‘superhero.’ This event led to Jameon’s first editorial denouncement of superheros. He was grateful that his son’s life had been saved, but appalled that the general public so easily forgets the real heroes in these stories. People like John, who do not wear masks and do not have superhuman abilities, but still risk their lives for the betterment of all mankind.
Since then, Jameson has increasingly spoken out against the glorification of superheroes. He tries to call attention back to our first responders, our police force, our EMTs and doctors, our astronauts and military service-members. The ones so easily forgotten because they cannot shoot lasers or fly into the sun. Glorifying the superhumans of the world leaves us susceptible to overlooking their flaws and mistakes, and Jameson is more than aware of the dangers of such literal hero-worship. He has pointed out time and time again that attacks on this city and around the world happen because of the presence of these superheroes. Would Loki have targeted our city, if not for the Avengers? Would Sokovia have fallen, if not for the hubris of Stark and Banner creating Ultron in the first place? Would Gotham be in the state is in now, if not for the multitude of villains with a personal vendetta against one masked man?
Jameson has never said that these questions would be easy, but they are of the utmost importance to ask and answer. He has published editorials calling into question the moral and ethical concerns of involving children in these superhuman fights. Yes, many of these young people have powers, but is it fair to ask them to take the entire world upon their shoulders? And is it fair, for the rest of us in this city, to constantly be caught in the battles between those who have powers that can devastate entire city blocks?
To be clear, Jameson has never once called for the extermination of superhuman people. He has even championed Mutant-rights, in accordance with his principles of civil rights. However, he has always maintained that practical measures must be taken. Should Charles Xavier be allowed to carte blanche to create his own superpowered army, in the guise of a school for runaway youngsters? Should the Avengers and the Justice League be allowed to proceed with zero oversight from the people they claim they’re sworn to protect? Jameson says no -- and so should you.
Regulation and oversight are not unreasonable measures to take. If superhumans are held to a higher standard of behavior, it is because the consequences of not doing so have proven to be disastrous. Jameson has experienced this personally, beginning with his stepfather, a man who should have upheld the highest of standards and instead sunk to the lowest of lows. The superheroes we have come to know today are a blessing and a curse, and while they do a great deal of good for our city and the world, they also cause an immense amount of property damage and personal heartbreak. While other publications are too fearful to speak out, and instead want to explain away every devastating mistake these heroes have ever made, Jameson and the Daily Bugle have made it a mission to hold these people accountable. Accountable for the lives lost, the businesses ruined, and the cities terrified of the next ‘Incident’ that could happen at any second.
If the superhumans of the world do not like to be held responsible for their deadly mistakes, then perhaps they should be the ones fired.

Sparks Fly (Part 1/?)
A/N: Thor has body image issue and a princess to save. What could go wrong?
Thor frowned at his brother as he strolled into the Throne room of new Asgard grinning, "What trouble are you making now, Loki?" he asked. "Brother why the sour expression? I have just solved half of your problems. I have found you a wife." Thor pinched the bridge of his nose, "How does that solve our problems?" Loki sighed, "You need an heir and a spare and an alliance with a powerful Midgardian realm would strengthen our ability to protect new Asgard." Thor stood and walked to the fireplace. It had been 2 years since the battle with Thanos and the reverse of the Snap. The king stared into the fire and sighed, "For my self, I have no interest in a political marriage but for my people it makes sense." Loki was outlining details but Thor was hardly listening. Too busy with his own thoughts. The god reflected that a political alliance might be the best he could manage. He didn't exactly have the body of a romantic hero anymore. The depression that had gotten him to this state had lifted but the burden of the ruling left little time for the relentless training that had given him his chiseled physique before. He didn't exactly want for lovers but those lovers didn't really want him. They just wanted to say they had slept with him and they left him cold.
Loki was describing the girl to him a matter of factly and Thor waved the words away with an impetuous gesture. "Her looks are immaterial to me. So long as she has good birthing hips and common sense," Loki snorted, "A tall order from most women to have both."
hor rolled his eyes, “Arrange the meeting, brother. And assemble a delegation. We may be a small kingdom but if we’re to do this I would have it done properly.” Loki bowed slightly and walked out of the room. He was sure Thor had not heard a word he said. He was also sure that one look at this unfortunate creature and his Brother would move heaven and Earth to see her be his. Thor always did have a soft spot for lost causes.
Weeks pass and terms are decided. The meeting is to be in fairy. The Asgardians are coming to meet you and you’re terrified. Your fingers won’t stop trembling as you brush your long hair. This is your one chance to get out of this castle. Your one chance to escape the king who holds you, hostage, while calling you his foster child. You don’t even care if you love your husband. You just want to see your people safe and you cannot be a queen without a king. “Princess,” a page says bowing to you, “The Asgardians and their delegates will be here soon. The king bids you come to the stables. Your mount is ready.” You swallow hard and turn to smile at him, golden eyes calm, “Very well, thank you,” you say as you stand, willing your knees not to tremble.
Your foster father does not speak to you as you enter the stables and a groom helps you onto your mount, an unearthly white stag with silver antlers and silver hooves. The King is large and forbidding, a Night Court King in trust fashion dressed in dark leathers and red trappings. His mount a large, battle-scarred black bear with wicked teeth. He lives up to his Title as the King of Fears and he and his delegates stand in stark contrast to your delicate frame and pale blue dress on your gentle stag. Your people are of forests. The Sidhe of Story and Song. Their banners bore snarling bears. Your one lone banner bore the emblem of an oak tree growing from a book on a field of white. Your foster Father’s red eyes look at you and he grunts in approval as you sit demurely on your stag, hands folded in your lap. You need no saddle or reins. The Stag, Declan, would sooner run off a cliff than allow you to fall from his back. He is a spirit of the Forests you played in as a child and feels duty-bound to protect you as the last member of the Royal family still breathing.  Madoc, your foster father urges his bear forward and you take a breath, willing yourself into calm you do not feel, following beside him and slightly behind in your proper place.
Thor, Loki, Bruce, and Steve wait. This is not a war party but Thor still feels compelled to bring good back up that won’t immediately read as a threat. This night court king does not engender feelings of trust. When the party appears over the rise, Thor and Loki ride out to meet the King and his advisor in the middle of the field. “You seem to have brought a large assembly for such a happy occasion,” Thor said lightly. The Night Court King laughed, “We have a precious treasure to guard,” he said gesturing back towards you. “It would be a tragedy if she were to come to harm under my care. I am duty-bound to protect the Princess of Story and Song. To fail in that duty would be a grievous insult to her house.” Thor’s eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at you, quiet and demure a tightness in your eyes that contradicted the softness of your mouth and the relaxed lines of your shoulders. Thor inclined his head, “Very well,” he said by way of accepting this circumstance. It made sense if you weren’t a fighter and he didn’t think you were. Your bearing was regal. Elegant. But Thor knew fighters. He knew warriors. And that was not your strength.
Thor and his party followed Madoc back into the castle keep. It had a dark grandeur that while impressive was cold and forbidding. He watched your face as you passed through the gates. Your face betrayed nothing. It was still schooled into a mild, pleasant expression. Vague polite disinterest as was expected of a Sidhe Princess who had not yet been introduced properly to a suitor. But your shoulders stiffened slightly as if the change in energy made you uncomfortable. Grooms swarmed into view to take reins and to help hold mounts. A groom stepped forward to help you and Thor stepped forward, dismissing the groom and offering to lift you down. You accept his help with a smile of thanks, “Thank you, my lord.” You say softly, not meeting his eyes as your feet touch the ground. Thor feels his heart speed up a fraction. You are lovely up close with your golden eyes and dark red curls, a spatter of freckles over your nose and cheeks. Your waist is corseted but you have the suggestion of lovely curves. Your voice is lilting and musical. His heart raced and then drops. You are a Princess from a bard’s tale. As if the Norns had taken everything he could want in a princess to look like and assembled you to his orders. And he was this.
It wasn’t as if he expected to love but he would already hand you his heart if you asked for it. As much as he distrusted the Night King in negotiations, he now trusted him less to care for you the way you deserved. Thor unhanded you quickly as soon as he was sure he wouldn’t knock you over when he let go and glanced at Loki, glaring at him. Bruce watched, looking bemused but pleasant and Steve’s face was schooled into careful passivity.
“Daughter,” Madoc said, his voice growling, “Perhaps you ought to leave the gentlemen to discuss matters. I believe the children are in the hall. Perhaps you ought to entertain them.” You drop into a curtsey, making no protest, “Yes, father.” You say as if the words don’t burn in your mouth. You’re gone, bare feet silent on the dirt yard as you make your way across the keep, two large guards silently falling in on either side of you. It was enough for Thor and Loki both to understand. You are not a foster child. You are a hostage. A privileged hostage but a hostage none the less. “Come,” Madoc said, “I have a dinner laid out for us.” The Night King dismissed his servants with a wave of his hand and jerked his head towards the hall. “How did you come to foster Princess Y/N?” Thor asked, falling into step beside him. “An unfortunate dispute between the Queen of the Forests and I,” he said, “A war that got out of hand.” His tone indicates that it was in fact not unfortunate as far as Madoc was concerned. “After the Queen and her human consort perished, I took the care of the princess into my hands personally,” he said grandly. “Thus giving you control of her lands,” Loki said. “Until she comes of age this Samhain,” Madoc said nodding, “Though She cannot rule on her own. Not as a half breed. She requires a king and such an arrangement I think would be beneficial to both Asgard and The Court of Fears.” Thor raised an eyebrow, “With her stuck in Asgard you would remain as Steward. Controlling the Forests of Sighs.” Madoc said nothing but shrugged.
Thor shot Loki another look and the prince shrugged. She was eligible and in a perilous enough situation not to put up too much of a fuss. Thor toyed with his glass of wine, thinking. “And if I did not leave you as her steward?” he challenged lightly, “If we united the courts of Asgard and the forests of Sighs?” Madoc shrugged, “Anything could happen,” he said, “Though you would find the Forests a hard master. For all their pretensions at art and beauty, the people of that kingdom are fierce and you would find it hard to rule over indeed.” Thor made a thoughtful sound. He knew Sidhe could not outright lie but they could bend the truth until it broke on its own.
The rest of the dinner was chatter while Madoc allowed the Visiting King to digest this information. Pages showed them to their rooms and a War council of sorts convened in Thor’s room. “I don’t trust him,” Steve declared, throwing himself into a chair. Bruce nodded, “But if we don’t get that girl out of here she may be in trouble fast. I wouldn’t put it past that tyrant to marry her to himself.” Loki shook his head, “Consanguinity,” he said, “They’re too closely related. He has Princes he could have married her to otherwise. Right now he’s banking on her Honor. He means to make her a vassal beholden to him for his years of hospitality.” Thor watched out the window at the alien terrain and sighed, “Loki this was meant to SOLVE my problems. Not cause more.” Loki shrugged, “The forests of Sighs are valuable,” he said, “And their Princess seems to fit your standards.” Thor was glad his back was to the room and they could not see his cheeks color.
The woman did indeed have nice hips. “What standards?” Steve asked stretching. “Birthing hips and Common sense,” Loki said in a devastatingly accurate imitation of Thor’s voice. Bruce choked and Steve smirked. “Well,” Steve said, “If she’s survived this place since childhood I’d imagine she does have some sense.” Thor turned to face them when the sniggering died down, “Before I decide anything, I will speak with her,” he said, “While a political alliance is not- not my desired way to find a wife, I cannot in good conscience leave the girl in peril. But I will not take her from one untenable situation and put her in another she vehemently objects to. She deserves that much dignity.”
You sit in your rooms, a bevy of ladies in waiting to gossip around you as you stitch. The laughter is cruel like always and you guard your tongue. There is no one in your rooms you can trust to speak your mind. No one is impressed with the Asgardian King and his retinue. They seemed to treat him as a colossal joke. Still, as kings went, he seemed to be a good man. He had kind eyes and the hands-on your waist had been gentle. There could be worse matches. Much worse. You thought thinking of Madoc’s hungry eyes with a shiver.
The next night, there was a great celebration to welcome their distinguished guests and your official introduction to your potential betrothed. You entered the Hall on Madoc’s arm. His massive black-clad self, dwarfing your tiny white-clad frame, making you look like a child. Thor took your hand at the bottom of the stairs and kissed it lightly, making his formal introduction to you. You blush prettily much to the amusement of the crowd and Thor sweeps you into a dance, away from Madoc where he could speak with you.
The god reflected at in another life, in another body, he might be whispering seductive bits of nonsense in your ear but for now, he takes the time to learn about your situation, cautioning you to keep smiling and pretend nothing was amiss. He learned that you were indeed a hostage and that when you disobeyed Madoc in the smallest ways your people suffered, something that you found unacceptable and so you obeyed. Instantly and without question. You confessed softly that sometimes you thought it might be better for everyone if you simply died making Thor tighten his grip on your hand slightly. Thor leaned forward and whispered into your ear, “Please, Princess. Don’t give up. Not now.” And the gold in your eyes turned over bright, tears threatening to fall. “Y/N,” he murmured, “Smile. Nothing is wrong, remember. I can give you a home. Away from this but I need you to trust me.” You look up at him, smile fixed back in place, “It seems I do not have much choice, your Majesty.”
Thor returned you to Madoc, and the way his clawed hand looked on your arm made the God’s skin crawl. He wanted to whisk you away then, secret you under his cloak and smuggle your home but he forced himself to go back to his party. “Loki,” he said quietly, “Get word to Brunhilde. See how quickly we can arrange a wedding.” Loki blinked but said nothing. Thor’s face was forbidding and the storm clouds were gathering in his eyes, sparks at his fingertips. The ride home the morning after the feast was silent. Each man knew what they had to do. Thor felt himself bracing for the battle to come and sighed. He just hoped this plan worked.

Chapter 9
The satellite scans had found three potential locations that could be used to hold Sarah and have her mind completely hidden from Jamie. One was in the United States, in the middle of Arizona. One was in a remote part of Nunavut, Canada. The final one was in Siberia not far from where the Winter Soldier program had started.
Hearing that made Bucky’s skin crawl and a pit form in his stomach. Somehow he knew. He knew right away that’s where she was. He tried to convince Steve that’s where she was but Steve was sure it would be one of the closer places given how quickly Hydra had been grabbing the children.
They went to investigate the Arizona location first. The group consisted of Steve, Bucky, Jamie, Carol, and Wanda. It was definitely a Hydra base. Jamie knew right away it wasn’t the Hydra base. It was sparsely defended and none of the agents had even passing thoughts about the kidnapped children.
The base was taken quickly. Jamie didn’t even have to Nock an Arrow. Clint had taught him archery and he liked to be the Hawkeye of the group when he could even though he had the strength of his father and could use his mind to incapacitate everyone anyway.
It wasted two days. Bucky started fraying around the edges. He wasn’t sleeping. When he slept he had nightmares. They’d start with him being tortured. Being strapped into a chair while they electroshocked him and experimented on him. While they broke the man he was down and destroyed him and built up a new man in the shell that he’d left for them.
Then they changed. It was Sarah, not him. She called out for them. Begged to be saved. Bucky would sit helplessly watching them break his daughter apart. Then she’d get out of the chair her hair hanging over her face. Raise a gun and shoot him.
Steve tried to reassure him. Nothing he said seemed to help. Bucky paced the halls and considered just leaving on his own to check Siberia. He didn’t know how to fly the Quinjet but he was sure he could convince Natasha to go with him. He was just about to go and call her when the idea hit him and he cursed himself for not thinking about it sooner.
“Loki!” He yelled. “Loki! Get here now!”
There was a shimmer in the air. “What is it now, Barnes? I swear I haven’t been anywhere near your daughter.”
Bucky’s hands tightened into fists. “Do you know where she is?” He growled.
“Did she run away?” Loki laughed. “Oh, Barnes. Can’t even keep tabs on your own blood. Oh but she isn’t your blood is she? How could I forget.”
Bucky snapped. He grabbed Loki by the throat with his cybernetic hand and slammed him against the wall. “Don’t fuck with me, Loki.” He seethed. “I don’t like bringing out the Soldier. But doesn’t mean I can’t do it. Do you know where she is?”
“Of course I do.” Loki scoffed.
Bucky relaxed letting Loki slip from his grip. Loki rubbed his throat where Bucky’s fingers had been. “She’s alive?”
“Yes, she’s alive.”
Hope and relief flooded through Bucky. He started pacing again. “Can you take me to her?”
“That’s not how it works,” Loki said. “What’s happened, Barnes?”
Bucky told Loki everything that had been happening. He spoke quickly but left out no detail.
Loki ran his thumb over his bottom lip. “You must really be desperate to come to me.”
“I am. Tell me where she is.” Bucky yelled.
Loki chuckled and conjured a globe of the Earth. He pointed to a spot in Siberia and Bucky cursed. “How quickly can you get there?” Loki asked.
“It would take four or five hours if I left right now. But I have to convince someone to fly the jet.”  Bucky said.
“Do that. I’ll go to her.” Loki said. Before Bucky had a chance to thank him, he’d disappeared.
Tumblr media
Sarah lay on the bench that acted as her bed, curled into a ball and facing the wall. She hadn’t opened her eyes yet, but she’d been awake for hours. Feigning sleep. Waiting for them to come reeducate her.
She had already been through one round of re-education. They had strapped her into a chair. The same one she saw in her dad’s mind all the time. They had put a mouthguard in her mouth and electroshocked her. They then proceeded to continue shocking her between lengthy lectures of how Hydra was the right path. That freedom was a lie. That individuality was a flaw that needed eradicating.
All the while Viper sat watching. She never spoke, but anytime Sarah was able to she would ask Viper how she wanted to die. She would list the ways she was considering killing her. Viper just smiled and watched.
After about four hours they then returned her to her cell and took Danielle.
She had water but they hadn’t fed her since she’d gotten there. Her stomach hurt and she felt light-headed. It was time to act.
Two guards stepped into her room. She kept her breathing deep and calm. Not reacting to the presence in her room.
“Wake up, girl.” A deep, gravelly voice said. A hand was placed on her shoulder and Sarah reacted. She grabbed the arm and slammed the person into the wall above her. With their now unconscious form acting as a shield from the others, she scrambled to free their taser from their belt.
Another form came upon her. She reacted quickly using the taser. She held it against them, holding down the trigger as the form jerked wildly above her. When she released the trigger. She quickly assessed the room. There were two unconscious guards, one male one female. Another male stood at the door. He had his taser out and he’d just gotten his walkie-talkie off his belt. Sarah charged at him. At the last second, she did a roundhouse kick, knocking the walkie-talkie from his hand.
He lunged at her and she grabbed his arm spinning him and slamming his head into the bars of the cell. Grabbing him by the neck she slammed him into the bars again and again.
“Sarah, you’re gonna kill him.” Danielle screeched.
Sarah let him go and started frisking the guards for their weapons and keys. She found two more tasers and two knives as well as the keycards to open the doors and cells of the building. Sarah first went and opened the cells of the other children. Besides Danielle and May Day there was a boy who looked to be around eight years old and didn’t speak any English and a fourteen-year-old girl named Senka.
“What’s your plan?” Senka asked.
“If you cut the thing out of my neck, my powers should kick in. I heal fast. Hopefully faster than it will kill me. But even if it does kill me I can take out everyone in here and you can all get to safety.” Sarah said.
“No, Sarah.” May Day cried. The little redhead hadn’t let go of her since Sarah had opened her cell.
“Do it to me,” Danielle said. “I heal immediately.”
“You sure?” Sarah asked. Danielle nodded.
Sarah moved behind Danielle and ran her fingers over her neck feeling for the little scar where they’d inserted whatever it was that they’d put in them to negate their powers.
“Well, this looks entertaining.”
Sarah looked up at the sound of the cold, familiar voice. Loki leaned against the bars of the cell watching them.
“Loki.” Sarah yelped and ran to him, wrapping her arms around him. May Day followed, relief of seeing a familiar adult taking hold of her. She hugged his leg. Loki hugged Sarah and patted May Day on the back at the two girls both broke into tears.
“What did they do to you?” Loki asked.
“They put something in our necks. It’s shut our powers off.” Sarah said, trying to get control of herself. “We have to hurry, Loki. They’ll be sending more people.”
“Don’t worry, my love. The idiots who work here all think everything is normal for now.” Loki soothed. “Let’s see if I can’t undo what they’ve done.”
Loki turned Sarah to face away from him. His long fingers caressed the skin of her neck. He pulled his knife from its scabbard. “This will hurt, but just for a moment.” He said, softly.
The knife bit into her skin and he pressed down. Sarah clenched her teeth, unwilling to show any weakness. Loki gently worked a small chip from her neck and when it was clear he froze the wound, using his powers to seal it. Sarah’s abilities kicked in immediately.
“I still can’t feel the people outside of here,” Sarah said, frowning.
“This place was designed to hold your mother, darling. It is meant to keep them safe from your mind.” Loki said. “There are however four more of you with abilities. We can fight our way out of here.”
Sarah surveyed the scared faces of the children whose lives were now in their hands. “Let Loki cut those chips out. It only hurts a little. You don’t have to fight, but with your powers, you can defend yourselves.” She said.
Tumblr media
Steve sat in the back of the Quinjet next to Bucky. Their fingers were linked together. “You’re sure about this, Buck?” Steve asked for what felt like the 600th time.
“Loki has some kind of connection to her. Why do you think he’s always showing up when we’re not around?” Bucky said. “Whether we like it or not, that’s the truth. He says she’s in Siberia. I believe him.”
Jamie looked up at his dad’s again. Fiddled with one of his arrows and looked away. He kept wanting to ask Bucky if he was sure. Deep down, Jamie couldn’t shake the feeling that Sarah was dead.
Carol landed the jet on an icy plane out of sight of the base. The group that consisted of Steve, Bucky, Jamie, Carol, Vision, and Wanda all climbed off the jet.
“Captain, I’ll fly ahead with Vision. See if we can’t find a way in. Meet you when you get there, slowpokes.” Carol said, taking to the air.
“Right you are, major,” Steve said. He turned to the others as Carol and Vision flew towards the base. “Jamie, stick with your dad. Wanda, you’re with me. We’ll go out wide try and come in on the other side. You stick to this side, Buck.”
Bucky nodded and they move forward. When they made it to the compound there were a dozen Hydra agents already lying on the ground. Five children were gathered around Carol. Bucky recognized Danielle and May Day but not the others. One looked like they were made of blue flames. Sarah was nowhere to be seen. Buck and Jamie jogged over to Carol.
“Did you do this?” He asked.
Carol laughed. “We got here and we were just about to see how we might go about getting in when all these agents just dropped to the ground. They’re all alive. Just unconscious. Then the kids ran out.”
“Sarah,” Jamie said. Relief filled him. He just wished he could feel her again.
“Vision get the door open,” Bucky said. “We’re going to find my daughter.”
“What about, dad?” Jamie asked as Vision floated through the door. The circuits popped and it slid open.
“She’s already been here too long. I’m going to get her.”

Loki (Loki Laufeyson) X Female! Reader
Tumblr media
Marvel Imagines And Oneshots ( X Reader ): * Requests Are Open *
Marvel's Thor X Reader
Loki (Loki Laufeyson) X Female! Reader - A Night To Remember - * Lemon * - * Requested By Tori ( Or Silverdawn123 ) *
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't own the Marvel Comic Book/TV Shows/Movie series Thor nor do I own any of the characters from the franchise. I just own my writing skills and my very active imagination. I really hope you all enjoy this oneshot I made.
This is a Loki ( or Loki Laufeyson ) oneshot and this oneshot takes place during the film: Thor (2011). So if you don't know the story of Loki before all the stuff turned him evil (somewhat evil, misunderstood is all really) or if you haven't seen the movie then SPOILER ALERT: BEWARE!!
If you don't want to be spoiled then don't read this oneshot until you've watched it.
Other than that lovely note, enjoy this oneshot~!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your POV:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I walked through the halls of the Asgard Palace when I came up to the treasure room and heard some loud voices shouting at each other.
" The Casket wasn't the only thing you took from Jotunheim on that day, now was it? " I heard one familiar voice say to the other. I noticed the door was a little bit open so I peeked in and watched the two figures chat.
" No it wasn't. In the aftermath of the battle, I went into the temple and I found a baby. Small for a Frost Giant's offspring, abandoned, suffering and left to die. Laufey's son. " The other voice said. I then realized that the two figures were Odin and Loki.
" Laufey's Son? " Loki said in confusion.
" Yes. " Odin nodded.
" Why? You were needed in Odin blood, why did you take me? " Loki questioned him. I begun to wonder the same thing.
" You were an innocent child. " Odin replied.
" No, you took me for a purpose so what was it? " Loki asked once more but Odin didn't reply.
" Tell Me!! " Loki shouted.
" I thought we could unite our kingdoms, bring about an alliance, bring about a permanent peace....through you but those plans no longer matter. " Odin confessed. I was shocked beyond words, I couldn't believe my ears.
" So I am no more than an unearthed stolen relic, locked up here until you might have use of me? " Loki panted.
" Why do you twist my words? " Odin sighed.
" You could've told me what I was from the beginning, why didn't you? " Loki asked while his tone demanded an answer.
" You're my son, I only wanted to protect you from the truth. " Odin replied.
" W-Why? Because I'm the monster who parents tell their children to keep them awake at night? " Loki went on.
" No. " Odin sat down on the staircase.
" It all makes sense now, doesn't it? Why you favored Thor all these years, no matter how much you claim to love me you just can't have a Frost Giant sitting on the throne of Asgard! " Loki said angrily.
Odin then passed out on the staircase and Loki was shocked and I could tell that his mind and heart were racing 100 miles per hour right now.
" Guards! Guards! " Loki called out and then a few guards who were walking down the hallways on patrol rushed to the treasure room to carry Odin to his chambers. Loki then walked out of the treasure room and was shocked to see me.
" (Y/N__ )? What are you doing here? " Loki asked me.
" I was passing by and I heard shouting and I happen to hear what the conversation was about. " I confessed.
" So then you knew about me being not one of them? " Loki asked while seeming to get even more angry.
" I swear I didn't and even if I did I would've told you in a heartbeat, something this important should have been told to you straight away. I promise I would've told had I known. " I said while grabbing both of his hands in mine and gripping them tightly.
" Alright, I believe you ( Y/N___ ). You are probably the only person I can really trust. " Loki admitted.
" Thank you Loki. " I said.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* A Few Years Pass *
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I sighed as I walked around the gate back and forth. I then was greeted by Hemdall, he had a worried expression on his face.
" My Lady ( Y/N___ ), what ever is wrong? " Hemdall asked me.
" Thor isn't back with Loki yet and it's been 3 days. He promised me that he would bring Loki back and I'm afraid that not only is Loki not in Midgard but something might've happened to both of them. " I said while getting even more worried then Hemdall was about me.
" I see, trust me when I say that I know Thor and Loki are just fine. They can take care of themselves. " Hemdall smiled at me.
" Thank you Hemdall, your words mean good comfort to me. I just can't help but worry about them though. " I said while sighing once again. Hemdall could only stare at me and then he offered me his hand.
" Come Lady ( Y/N___ ), I've got something that bring you some comfort. " Hemdall said and as my mind grew curious, I then took his hand.
" What is it, Hemdall? " I asked.
" You'll see. " Hemdall then led towards the center of the Gate Room, there stood a crystal in the middle of the stand. I was confused as to what Hemdall wanted to show me.
" What am I looking at here? " I asked.
" Just be patient. " Hemdall took the crystal and turned it slightly to the left and then a big light shined above it. It was almost as if the crystal was projecting something.
" I usually don't use the power for anyone unless it's an emergency and seeing you so upset is an emergency case for me. So here is where Thor and Loki now and here is what they are doing. " Hemdall pointed up to the projection. I looked up at the projection to only see it becoming crystal clear.
The image was of Thor and Loki, they were both alright but they were fighting. Nothing new but I'm thinking that maybe it was about him coming back to Asgard. This argument seemed to be more heated than their previous ones. I had a feeling that they weren't just talking about Loki's fake death.
They....they were talking about me?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thor's POV:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
" Where is the tesseract? " I asked angrily, Loki only laughed in response.
" I've missed you too brother. "
" Do I look to be in a gaming mood. "
" Oh, you should thank me, with the Bifrost gone how much dark energy did the Allfather have to muster to conjure you here? Your precious Earth. " Loki asked. I grew angrier but every passing moment. I grabbed Loki by the collar of clothes and looked at him.
" I thought you dead. "
" Did you mourn? "
" We all did, Father did, Mother did and especially ( Y/N___). You have no idea what torture she went through. " I said and Loki looked at me dead straight with guilt and anger on his face.
" Don't you dare say her name in front of me. I can't bear it. Your father. He did tell you my true parentage, did he not? " Loki shaked off my grip.
" We were raised together, we played together, we fought together. Do you remember none of that? " I asked as I turned to him
" I remember a shadow, living in the shade of your greatness. I remember you tossing me into an abyss. I was and should be king! " Loki shouted at me.
" So you take the world I love as recompense for your imagined slights. No, the Earth is under my protection, Loki. " I stated.
" And you're doing a marvelous job with that. The humans slaughter each other in droves, while you idly threat. I mean to rule them. And why should I not? " Loki smiled.
" You think yourself above them? " I asked.
" Well, yes. " Loki replied.
" Then you miss the truth of ruling, brother. The throne would suit you ill. " I stated once again.
" I've seen worlds you've never known about! I have grown, Odinson, in my exile! I have seen the true power of the Tesseract, and when I wield it... " Loki climbed up the rock and turned to me with such a misunderstood intent of his powers.
" Who showed you this power? Who controls of the would-be-king? " I asked.
" I am king! " Loki shouted.
" Not here! You give up the Tesseract! You give up this poisonous dream! You come home brother. I've missed you, mothers misses you and ( Y/N___ ) is besides herself without you. " I said.
" I told you to not speak of her name! " Loki said while shaking me off once again.
" Why?! Why does the mere mention of Lady (Y/N___ )'s name shake you up so much? Hm? Oh, maybe it's because you abandoned her! The only woman who ever wanted to be with you forever, the girl who grew up with us, the fine young lady who would've done anything to become yours and would've given up who her own life for you. " I shouted at him.
" Stop it! I know I abandoned her but I had to! " Loki shouted back at me.
" Why!? What could've possibly been more important to you than her? " I asked.
" This! This is my true destiny! To be king and when I finally do become king then she will be right here by my side as queen, ruling with me like the queen she was always meant to become. " Loki panted as he stated.
" So, this poisonous dream of the lustful power is more important than anything or anyone else? Even Mother and Father, even me, even Asgard and especially her? " I pointed out by asking.
" Nothing is more important than Lady ( Y/N___ ). " Loki looked at me with angry intention.
" See, that's where you're wrong. "
" And how am I wrong Thor? " Loki asked.
" By coming here and doing all of this, she would be very ashamed of you but she would not leave you for anything. I can't say the same for you though. "
" No she wouldn't, she would be proud. " Loki replied while smiling.
" Oh, well let's find out. Now! " I said while grabbing Loki by the arm while a massive bright light hits the ground and absorbing us.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your POV:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I stood there in disbelief to see that not only was Loki alive and well but he had did all of this on purpose. As the projection show ended, the gateway then opened up and I saw Loki and Thor step out from the portal. Thor then released Loki to the guards that then showed up.
" ( Y/N___ ), if you listen then- "
" We will talk later Loki, Thor and I both will talk to you later. " I said blankly.
The guards then walked off with Loki and he couldn't even bear to look at me after what I just said. I then looked at Thor with eternal gratitude in my eyes.
" Thank you Thor, I know that must have not been easy. " I said while taking his hand.
" Hey, I'd do anything for you both. " Thor replied while smiling. We then walked behind the guards who walked Loki to Asgard.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Later That Night *
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After the feast of Loki's return, Thor and I went down to the prisoners's chambers and searched for Loki. We finally found him and we approached his screen.
" Loki? " I said his name.
Loki was sitting on his bed and he then turned his head towards me and Thor. He sat up and began to make his way towards us.
" It's good to see you ( Y/N___ ), I've missed you. " Loki said while facing his eyes away from me.
" I've missed you even more Loki, we all did. " I replied back with a gentle smile.
" I bet. " He replied in a mocking tone while facing the other way.
" Loki, pay respect to the woman who was willing to talk to you after what you've done to her. " Thor demanded.
" I do respect her! More than anyone else here at Asgard! " Loki snapped back at Thor. He then turned his vicious gaze from Thor to me, his expression then got softer.
" I do respect you ( Y/N___ ), I hope you realize that. " Loki said gently.
" I do Loki, I've always known that. " I replied.
" What did you two want to talk to me about? "
" Well- " Thor started.
" Thor? Can I talk to you for a moment please? " I asked him to go with me in the far corner on the other side of the hallway.
" Of course Lady ( Y/N___ ). " Thor then escorted me towards the corner.
" Listen, I know there are many things you want to confront to him about right now but I need to talk to him about some.....special stuff and if I don't say it now then I will overwhelmed and destroyed by it. Is it possible that I can talk to him first tonight and then tomorrow afternoon you may have your time? " I asked.
" Of course ( Y/N___ ), please take your time. I will be right here if you need me. "
" Can you somehow open this so I can get in and talk to Loki from the inside? " I asked Thor.
" I think you will be much safer out here with me. " Thor stated.
" Thor, please. I can handle Loki and besides, he won't harm me. We both know that. " I said while resting a hand on his shoulder to reassure him.
" Alright but be careful. "
" I will. " I replied as Thor then gave permission for the guard to open the door and to which I entered the room. As I heard the door shut, Loki then walked up to me to embrace me but before he could do that I stopped him. Loki then frowned at me, displeased at my actions.
" Loki, before we do all that, I need you to do something. " I explained.
" What is it? Anything. " Loki stared deeply into my eyes, eagerly waiting my for my answer.
" I need you to create an illusion so that people don't know what we will be discussing or doing. " I said.
" Oh, alright then. " Loki then snapped his fingers and an illusion barrier was placed all around us.
" Thank you. " I said as I sat on the chair that was next to his bed.
" Yeah, no problem. " Loki then walked over and sat on his bed and stared at me deeply again.
" You know, I have a lot of emotions running through my mind and heart right now. I can't decide whether or not I want to slap you for just running away and faking your death or smothering with kisses in happiness that you're alive and back here. " I said to him while trying to think about my next move.
" Yeah, understandable. I would too if you would had done the same. " Loki replied while looking down onto the ground and away from me.
" I never would have done what you tried to pull off. "
" Thor said you would've been ashamed of me....I didn't believe him though. " Loki said to me.
" You should've. " I replied flatly.
" What? ( Y/N____)? You're ashamed of me? " Loki shot a look up towards me.
" I am not ashamed of who you are Loki, I could never be ashamed of you and all of your wonderfulness but what you pulled off here.....that is what I'm truly ashamed of. " I said while standing up and walking away from him.
" Wait a minute! ( Y/N____ ), hold on! " Loki stood up and grabbed my arm and pulled me close to him.
" What is it Loki? " I asked while biting my lip to keep from shedding my tears.
" I did those things for us! I wanted to show Asgard who was the best and mightiest out of all those idiot gods! I wanted there to be a world for us to rule, with no royalness and gods in the way and with you by my side only! " Loki turned me around and held me tightly.
" Loki, you said that I was all you needed in life. You didn't need to ascend to the throne like Thor. Did you change your mind? Am I not for you anymore? " As I said those words, my voice started to break.
" Oh Darling, don't you ever say something as foolish as that. Of course you are the only thing I need and want in this world. " Loki replied gently, this answer however did not satisfy me.
" Then why did you abandon me and Thor!? Huh?! You broke my heart and I seriously thought you were dead! When I heard Thor say that you CHOSE to let go of the scepter and die I thought ' Did he not care about me at all? What will happen to me? I can't live on without him. What does this mean for our relationship? I guess he didn't care about me as much as I did him. '. All of those things ran through my head and I was suffering so much without you! I was being tortured soooo much every single day from those questions and the heartache of losing you. " I confessed, screaming straight out while letting my tears flow on out.
" I uh.... " Loki was at a loss for words.
" ......I should just leave you right now but.....I can't find the strength anywhere inside of me to do that. I can't even hate you for what you did and I don't even know what to do about us... " I sniffled and I pushed Loki away from me.
" What do you mean? What's going to happen with us? " Loki asked and I could tell he started to panic.
" I don't know but all I know is that power means more to you than me and Thor so I know what worth we have in your eyes..... " I replied while wiping my tears away.
" ( Y/N___ ), power does not mean more to me than you two. " Loki said.
" Yes it does, you showed that to us by deceiving us and breaking our hearts. " I replied back while sighing.
" ( Y/N____ ) , please don't leave me! " Loki panicked even more.
" I'm going to go back to my chambers.... " I walked over to the door and placed a handle on the doorknob until I was suddenly pulled by my arm with such force that I think it might have left a bruise. He then pinned me to the wall and placed each of his strong arms on each side of my head.
" No, ( Y/N___ ) please. You are all I have, I'm begging you to please try to understand that I had good intentions for us. I had a wonderful future planned for all of us, I wanted you to be my queen, I wanted us to have a bright future, I wanted us to have a family together and I wanted to love you every day and every night for the rest of our lives together. Sure that maybe I acted out in the wrong ways but my intentions were always good at heart. Please, Please, Please don't give up on me....you have never done such a thing in the past and I don't want that to happen now. " Loki said that as he then switched me over to the bed and as I plopped down onto his bed, I was then met with a crying Loki.
" Are you crying? " I asked.
" Yes, you are the only person who can make me show my vunerable side. The only one in existence. " Loki said while his tears then fell onto my face.
" Oh Loki..... " I whispered his name while wiping his tears.
" So please, stay with me forever ( Y/N___)....I love you so much. " Loki kissed my forehead and gazed deeply into my eyes.
" I love you too Loki, I'll stay with you forever but please.....don't go breaking our hearts again. " I wrapped my arms around Loki's neck and pulled him close to me.
" I will never ( Y/N___ ), never again. " Loki then kissed me passionately and I moaned a little bit.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
( Author's Note: Here comes some smut so be aware! )
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Loki then roamed his hands around my entire body, I pulled his body even closer to my own and could practically feel his body heat radiate off of mine. We kissed over and over again and as we did that, one of his hand undid the tie of my dress. I stopped him and Loki then pulled away from our passionate kiss.
" What's wrong? " Loki asked me while frowning.
" Nothing it's just.....while we were together, I pictured this moment so many times that I wouldn't sleep for many nights because of it but now that we're actually doing it......it's just surreal. I believe that this is a dream that I might wake up from but I don't want this to be a dream that I might wake up from. " I admitted.
" Oh ( Y/N___ ), you have no idea how many times I've thought about this too. I'm going to make this a night to remeber for us. " Loki smiled at me and completely undid the sides of my dress/robe. I blushed hard.
" I hope I'm ready for this. " I said while my blush darkened.
" Don't worry Darling, we will experience new things together. " Loki then returned to kissing me passionately and I gave into his love.
Loki grinded his body on mine and I moaned out his name in response in our kiss. My body temperature was rising pretty fast, I felt Loki rip my dress off and I then covered myself in embarrassment and blushed the hardest I've ever been before. Loki then pulled my hands away from my body that I was covering and leaned into my left ear and whispered.
" Don't hide your beautiful Goddess-like body away from my eyes. This magnificent body is for my eyes to see only. " I felt my heart racing like crazy and removed my arms away willingly to let him see me.
" Okay, I will let you see me but can you be fair and take your clothes off as I well? " I asked timidly.
" Of course my love. " Loki then took off his uniform and showed me his bare fit chest. He then took his pants off and when I saw him, I couldn't believe my eyes on how fit and manly he was. I was wondering how I would be able to take him.
" Um.... " I stared at him.
" What's wrong? " Loki asked me with a smirk.
" Well.....I'm just wondering how you're gonna fit inside of me but I wanna do this anyway. Please be gentle though. " I admitted again.
" Oh don't worry, love. I'll be as gentle as possible but you will soon want me to get rough but small steps first. Plus, I'm really flattered that you think highly of me. " Loki purred in my ear once again. I felt the blood in my face just boiling like crazy.
" O-OKay... " I replied nervously.
After a while, two hours at the least I found myself to be at Loki's mercy.
" Hah.....Hah..... " I panted heavily as I laid my sweaty body/head on Loki's arm and passed out on his bed. He and I fell asleep together in each others arms while drifting into sweet dreamland.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Five years into the future:
Your POV:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
" Weeeeh! Mommy! Daddy! Look at me! " I turned around to see my five year old son riding his Uncle Thor on his back like a horse.
" ( Y/S/N____ )! Be careful, I don't want you or Thor getting hurt! " I yelled out to the both of them.
" Oh let them have their fun darling, Thor and I were just like that when we were younger. " Loki chuckled while placing a hand gently on my right shoulder.
" I know but we made our son together, he grew inside of me, we made life together and he is our own flesh and blood. I know I maybe too overprotective but it's only because I love him. He actually reminds me of you honey. " I said while taking his hand from my shoulder and wrapping it around my waist and leaning into him.
" Does he? I thought he reminded me of you. " Loki rested his chin on my shoulder and tightened his grip on my waist.
" Well he is our child so he's probably a mixture of both of us. " I smiled.
" Yes he is. " Loki and I watched our son having a delightful piggyback ride on Thor, we laughed when Thor accidentaly ran into the wall and hit his head. We made sure he and our son was okay but we couldn't help laugh even more on how silly those two were.
Ah life in Asgard was interesting....

Well, here is your request Tori.
I apologize for this oneshot for being super longer than my normal ones but I can't write a smutty/fluffy/lemon story without there being some story behind it. If you just want a regular lemon or smut than please check out some other stories on this subject and character.
I really hope you enjoyed on this request and I will get started on your other one.

What If…? Episode 6 Review: Killmonger to the Rescue
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
This review contains spoilers for Marvel’s What If…? episode 6.
Episode 6 of Marvel’s What If…?, entitled “What If… Killmonger Rescued Tony Stark?”, might be the flattest episode to come out of the series so far, but it at least works in the way the other Disney+ Marvel shows work. It takes a character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe who didn’t get quite enough time in the spotlight and gives us more. In this case, it’s the charismatic Black Panther villain Erik “Killmonger” Stevens.
As he was only relevant to the Black Panther movie, we get to see the character step out of that bubble and interact with some other MCU mainstays. His connection with Tony Stark cheats the world out of Iron Man, but there’s the question of whether the situation might have a positive effect on Killmonger’s soul, like how his cousin T’Challa inspired Thanos and Yondu to be better people in a different alternate reality. Once that question is answered, the episode meanders until abruptly ending.
If you regularly read our weekly What If…? reviews (try saying that three times fast) you may already know that these pieces have their own unique format. It’s more of a breakdown that we hope will satisfy die-hard Marvel fans but help bring those less familiar with the MCU up to speed.
Alright, let’s get into “What If… Killmonger Rescued Tony Stark?”…
Required viewing
The two main movies you need to see are Iron Man and Black Panther. The whole nexus event of the episode revolves around Tony Stark’s superhero origin, but you don’t need to check out his sequels (even if the Stark drones resemble Whiplash’s handiwork from Iron Man 2). The scene where we meet Ulysses Klaue is an alternate take on his introduction in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but watching that movie is not a necessity for this story.
Voice cast
As always, Uatu the Watcher is Jeffrey Wright. In the Black Panther corner, we get plenty of returning voices like Michael B. Jordan as Killmonger, the late Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa/Black Panther, Angela Bassett as Queen Ramonda, John Kani as King T’Chaka, Andy Serkis as Ulysses Klaue, and Danai Gurira as Okoye. On the Iron Man side, Don Cheadle is James Rhodes, Jon Favreau is Happy Hogan, Paul Bettany is JARVIS, and Leslie Bibb is Christine Everhart.
For those replacing the original actors, Mick Wingert is Tony Stark, Beth Hoyt is Pepper Potts, Ozioma Akagha is Shuri, Mike McGuill is General Thaddeus Ross, and Kiff Vandenheuvel is Obadiah Stane. I mean, I guess Don Cheadle as James Rhodes also sort of counts here, but that’s just splitting hairs.
What’s different?
The military career of Navy Seal Erik Stevens, codename Killmonger, brings him to infiltrating the Ten Rings and uncovering a plan to capture Tony Stark and use him to arm the terrorist organization. Acting on this information, Killmonger appears during the Ten Rings’ violent attempt to grab Stark. When the Stark-branded bomb lands near its creator, Stark is saved at the last second by Killmonger, who throws the bomb into the distance and outguns the would-be kidnappers.
In this reality, Stark’s heart is never pierced with shrapnel and he never finds himself having to build a robot suit…in a CAVE! With a BOX OF SCRAPS! He also doesn’t learn his lesson as he chooses to continue making weapons and even doubles down on it. Killmonger earns his trust further by exposing Obadiah Stane as being part of the kidnapping plot. Stark chooses to promote Killmonger to Stane’s old position (fitting, since Stane’s villain name is Warmonger) and he invests in an old idea of Killmonger’s to create mech-like drones.
Pepper Potts is uneasy with all of this, feeling that Killmonger is hiding his true intentions.
The drones can’t be completed due to the lack of a viable power source. Stark considers Arc Reactor technology, but discards the idea as a pipe dream. Killmonger talks up how vibranium could do it and sacrifices his necklace heirloom to make it work. Inspired, Stark decides to set up a meeting with Ulysses Klaue to buy more vibranium off the black market. James Rhodes acts on Stark’s behalf and that’s when things break down.
Black Panther interrupts the meeting to take back his country’s vibranium. Killmonger appears, subdues both Black Panther and Rhodes, and kills them both. Though not before he chastises Rhodey for working for a broken system that oppresses people like them. He makes it appear that the two killed each other, visits Stark (who is aware of the truth), kills him, and spells it out that the two never truly shared the same vision. As Stark dies from a vibranium spear, the Dora Milaje is blamed and war begins to brew between the United States and Wakanda.
Killmonger kills Klaue and uses his corpse to enter Wakanda and earn the trust of his estranged royal family. He sets up a battle against the Stark drones and leads the Wakandans to victory.
How does it work out?
It’s very open-ended, but it’s a dour situation. King T’Chaka makes Killmonger the new Black Panther. It’s only a matter of time before Killmonger betrays his uncle and gets his long-awaited revenge, showing that even in this reality, Tony Stark inadvertently sets things in motion for T’Chaka getting assassinated. T’Challa confronts Killmonger in the Panther spirit realm and warns him that his actions will have dire consequences.
Meanwhile, Shuri is not fooled by Killmonger’s charms and works with Pepper Potts in hoping to expose Killmonger and prevent the war from escalating.
Standout moments
One of the absolute highlights is the moment of Stark looking over Killmonger’s schematics for his drone idea, which look very Gundam-like. Killmonger sheepishly admits that he likes anime, which is a subtle, in-universe way for the character to admit that his blue, armored uniform is absolutely him trying to steal Vegeta’s look.
The press conference is incredibly satisfying, just in the sense that Killmonger shuts down Stane’s schemes with receipts and confidence, easily nipping that problem in the bud. Happy punching Stane out cold is the icing on the cake. It makes me think about how the plot of Iron Man is incredibly obvious for those who speak Urdu as the Ten Rings terrorists straight-up tell the viewer that Obadiah Stane is behind the kidnapping.
Speaking of the Ten Rings, their involvement certainly feels like it has more weight to it after Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. How fitting that Killmonger would make such a strong foil to the Ten Rings’ leader Wenwu, who is also obsessed with a secretive and fantastic utopian society that considers him an outsider despite a familial connection.
We get our third Chadwick Boseman performance in this series and once again, it hits hard in its own way. The Star-Lord episode was like a celebration of T’Challa that talked up his potential to make the universe a better place. The zombie episode had him give a meaningful speech about remembering the dead and keeping their memories in your heart. Now we see T’Challa’s casket and see him appear as a spirit.
Also, man, for someone who is the key to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Iron Man has not been doing so good on this show. He’s made three appearances so far and he’s died each time. The comic version of What If…? was never too kind to the likes of Magneto, Loki, Kingpin, or Beast, and now it looks like Stark is their television counterpart.
I think there’s supposed to be an episode coming up about him ending up on Sakaar, so let’s hope he does better that time around.
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
See you next week! Same Watcher time! Same Watcher streaming service! In the meantime, if you want to dig deeper into What If…?, subscribe to Marvel Standom on the Den of Geek YouTube channel, where we dish out weekly episodes on all the new Marvel TV series, trailers and movie releases. The Asgardian Candidate
Loki/The West Wing FanFiction Crossover
Chapter 5 - “The Second Debate”
Tumblr media
This time Loki was prepared. He wasn't about to make the same mistakes this time. While he still couldn't give a rat's ass about the finer points of policy & legislation, growing up as a prince of Asgard he had overheard enough to have a decent grip on how best to handle foreign affairs.
Once upon a time he had believed diplomacy to be the best path forward, but years of being ignored & undercut by Odin had changed him. Odin always prattled on about the power of being a diplomat first, but Loki knew that wasn't really how Asgard became the revered kingdom it was. Now he knew that in order for him to rule, as was his birth right, he had to take a shrewd & aggressive path.
The Midgardian political pundits had taken to referring to him as a bit of a war hawk. It was a title he didn't particularly mind, but some voters did seem put off by the title. Once he was president he would make them fall in line regardless. He was a god, they could hardly rebel successfully once he had power. He was destined to rule & they couldn’t stop. His army, his throne.
He checked the mirror one final time as everyone began to find their positions to begin the debate. He smoothed his waist coat, straightened his tie, & adjusted the gold clip holding it in place. Lastly he gripped the lapels on his suit jacket, shrugging & rolling his shoulders back & forth, allowing his neck to relax a little & his head to shift lightly side to side. His movement stilled as he exhaled deeply. He flashed his bright smile at himself in the mirror, that was his armor in this battle. Less extravagant than his Asgardian leathers, but much more fitting of his true personality & his opponent.
--------------------
On the opposite side of the stage, in the adjacent wings, President Bartlet stood calm & stoic. Despite most of his staff running around like chickens with their heads cut off.
Prior to the presidency Jed had served 3 terms in the House Of Representatives, 2 terms as the governor of New Hampshire, won a Nobel Prize in economics, & raised 3 daughters. If debating or talking made him nervous he would have died of a heart attack long ago.
Loki was just another loud mouth narcissist on an ego trip, Jed was sure of it. His heart wasn't in it, or at least his heart wasn't in it for the right reasons. In Loki Jed saw the same lust for power that had always been present whenever democracy was threatened throughout history. He wasn't interested in leading the country to a better place, or improving the lives of everyday Americans. They were just a means to Loki's end. He was interested in the power of the job title.
Jed missed the days when no matter the differences between political parties & platforms, the goal was always a to make America better. Even though those days were long gone, & both parties decided long ago that it was always better to bring a gun to a knife fight, he wasn't about to let the spirit the founded the country go with it.
Leo came to stand next to Jed. He clasped his hands in front of him & stood in silence with his long time friend. Finally turning to him & saying "You know he's not gonna play clean sir. Not after what he pulled the other day. Are you sure you still want to have this debate? No one would fault you sir. He basically brainwashed & kidnapped the vice president for fucks sake!"
"It's not about how I feel Leo, & it's not about John Hoynes' Stockholm syndrome either. It's about doing the right thing to preserve the honor of the office of the presidency." Jed turned his head to look directly at his Chief of Staff. "As long as I am the President of The United States we will take the high road. Even if the rest of Congress has resorted to wrestling in the mud on the Capitol Hill. The founding fathers thought better of us."
"Cancelling this debate under these circumstances, & when we still have one more, hardly seems like the something the founding fathers would even blink about." Frustration becoming evident in Leo's voice.
"Leo, I said no." Jed said firmly. Leo knew when there was no changing his mind, even when it was the wrong decision. "Now, go peel Josh off of the ceiling & wrangle the rest of the kids. I want them ready to hit the spin room as soon as I'm off stage. Have Josh do the exit polls."
With that President Bartlet turned & stepped out onto the debate stage. The moderator had taken his seat & the countdown had begun. As they shook hands this time Jed's warm smile had been replaced by a firm authoritative stare. He was still the president, & at least for now the well-being of the county was in his hands.
Loki had the smile of a serpent, & a shimmer of ferocity in his eyes as they locked hands. His every mannerism reading as the antithesis to that of the elder statesman across from him. For Jed his act was getting a little old. As they turned to walk to their individual podiums he caught eyes with Leo & made an overexxaggerated eye roll.
The two candidates took their places & the moderator began to speak.
“Good evening, & welcome to the 2nd debate for this year’s U.S. Presidential election. The participants are President Josiah Bartlet, & Mr. Loki Laufeyson. I am Chris Wallace your moderator. The topics this evening will all be pertaining to foreign policy. The format for the debate is as follows, & has been agreed to by both campaigns. Each candidate will make a 2 minute opening statement. The debate will then be divided into 6 segments, each 14 minutes long. At the beginning of each segment I will ask both candidates the same lead-off question & they will each have up to 2 minutes to respond, we will then move into open discussion for the rest of the time allotted. At the end of the debate each candidate will be given 2 minutes to make a closing statement. President Bartlet, you won the coin toss, so you will be the 1st to offer your responses this evening. Your opening statement please.”
--------------------
“In an ever changing & growing world, & with the recent discovery of the existence of worlds & species beyond our own, the topic of defense has seen a surge on lists of top voter concerns. As President, how would you address other countries & planets posing a potential threat to the safety of Earth & the United States?”
President Bartlet cleared his throat & began to speak. “The world of today is without a doubt very different than the world I grew up in, but shockingly some things always stay the same. Things are never really black or white, people are never really all bad or all good. In fact bad people cannot be recognized on site, trust me we’ve been trying to figure out how to do that for at least the last 70 years. So in the face of an someone who you don’t know is friend or foe, the best option is always to try to get them to take a seat at the table. Diplomacy is always the first job of a true statesman. While defending our country through a strong well funded military is an important necessity, a proper defense includes more than weapons. It includes funding for science, foreign aid, & open trade policy. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar, & you make more friends with a handshake than a weapon.”
Loki smiled. Of course Bartlet would try to take the high ground, he was just too easy to predict, & he had played right into Loki’s hand. “Growing up in Asgard, we knew the true power our mighty kingdom was capable of. The realms around us were well aware of this too. Not because of the fairness of our laws, or how dedicated we were to our education system. They knew what we were capable of because of the force we displayed for the universe to see. That is the answer. To display the might this country is capable of for the rest of the world & the universe to see. To use that force with ease & fearlessness when called upon to prove that this country is truly worthy. As has been done throughout the history of this great nation. It is rather adorable that you, dear Jed, believe a few kind words & gestures will sooth the anger of those bent on taking what they feel is owed to them. After all an ant has no quarrel with a boot, but nothing it says can change the outcome. Would you rather be positioned as the ant? Or the boot?”
Jed was now beginning to struggle to stay evenly keeled. “Ah well I must be terribly mistaken then, because I seem to remember President Teddy Roosevelt saying ‘Speak softly, & carry a big stick’ not ‘hit everything in a mile wide radius with a big stick then you wont have to bother with the talking’. Guess there must have been a different version on Asgard huh?… & by the way, it’s Mr. President to you.”
“The thing is, Mr. President , it’s the unspoken truth that species crave subjugation. They were made to be ruled. In the end, someone will always kneel. If I am leader we will never be the ones on bended knee.” Loki felt his adrenaline rush through him, as president they would all kneel before him even if by force. Midgardian & alien alike.
“America should never expect, nor should we invite confrontation with evil. A man who spent his life fighting for a cause far more just than superiority once said that ‘The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral. Returning violence with violence only multiples violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars.’ Do you know who said that?” Jed felt as if he was now pleading for people to see reason, to recognize the madness in Loki’s eyes & in his words.
“The words of the past hardly matter when the weight of the future is at your doorstep. On this issue it does seem that there are many people who disagree with your dated beliefs. How lucky for them to have me to vote for.” Loki let out a devious laugh at his own comment.
“The job is President of The United States. Not ‘President of The People Who Agree With Me’. Since I know we are just about out of time I’ll just go ahead & tell you, not that I expect you knew anyway. That quote, was by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.”
“Okay gentleman. That is time. We are now left we just our closing statements. Each of you will have 2 minutes, beginning with you President Bartlet. That will bring our evening to a close & put the 2nd debate of this presidential election in the books leaving just 1 left to go. Mr. President, your 2 minutes begins now.”
--------------------
Jed stood backstage angry & with his heart breaking. Not for himself or his candidacy, but for his country. He already knew what the exit polls from the debate would look like, he didn’t need to wait for a mid-meltdown Josh to come & tell him. As far as the voters would be concerned, he had lost that debate. They would say he looked weak & old next to Loki. Loki was blood thirsty & hellbent on power, but all the voters would see was the way he raged about defending America’s place in the world. Most of them wouldn’t see past the bravado & vitriol far enough to see the danger he posed beneath the surface.
His campaign was already behind coming into the debate thanks to the VP’s surprise announcement that he would now be running as Loki’s VP candidate instead. With Loki’s debate performance added on top of that they would hemorrhaging support if they couldn’t get a new VP candidate & quick. Jed quickly beckoned Leo over & had him call a meeting of all the campaign staff for first thing in the morning. They were now at campaign defcon 1.
After hearing Loki’s words tonight Jed could no longer fight the ominous sinking feeling that this was now about something far more important than re-election. This was about the survival of democracy.

The Monster Within
Odin and Frigga worried for their daughter’s well-being. Her bloodlust and ambition drove away any good and familial desires she had. She only wanted power, through death and destruction. The birth of her brother had turned a new leaf in her family’s dynamic in which she scorned and dismissed. This a small glimpse of the banishment of Hela.
Asgard: The Birth of a Prince
"Isn't he wonderful?" Frigga cooed as her eldest held her son. Hela sneered down at the sleeping babe. Even, as a little wriggling larva, her brother – this boy named Thor – resemble her parents more than she would. Fair hair and a welcoming smile. Bitterness brewed in her gut.
She was not impressed. She caught her father's countenance thriving with pride and false accomplishment.
No fields of blood and debris, no battle won. Only the birth of her rival, Thor. Odin, allfather to the nine realms had grown soft by his son's birth. No longer did he speak of conquer or destruction, no, he resolute in peace and benevolence. And it disgusted her to no end.
This child, who shined brightly in the eyes of her parents, would ruin all they had built, all that she helped build.
"Hela, you look like a natural." Her mouth puckered, trying to quell her grimace from her mother. She had to remind herself, that Frigga had been the one to teach and hone her skills in combat. Frigga had been the one to honor her accomplishments with celebration and enthusiasm when they returned home. And Frigga, despite all her wonderous power, did as many wives do, submit to her husband's wishes. Her purpose was to serve her husband and raise his seed.
Hela would not be confined to that life! She would submit to no one!
"I cannot wait until you start a family of your own." She handed the infant back into the hands of her mother, unable to stomach this farce of emotions any further.
"Doubtful mother." Frigga witness her daughter's escape and turned her worrying eyes towards that of her husband, whom had placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
"One day she will understand." Frigga nodded at her husband's words. But in her heart, she agonized over her daughter and where her ambitions lied. Her future shrouded in darkness and prophesized as the beginning of all ends.
"I can only hope."
Jotunheimr: The Siege of Loki
"They left it to die." Hela peered down at the crying infant. A bit small for its species. She was unsatisfied with its vulnerability. "We should kill it, put it out of its misery." It would be a favor since it's family was probably long dead in their siege of this frozen realm. She raised her sword ready to execute a final blow to this monster, her hands already stained in hundreds of Jotun's blood. She stopped her pursuit at the raise of her father's hands.
Odin knew they were in the temple of Laufeyson. He made no comment as he held the blue dwarf in his hands. Gazing into its innocent face as this little babe began to change its appearance, he dared say it resembled the daughter next to him. A vision of this boy had filled his mind with the possibility of a future alliance. "Loki." He wheezed out, staring at the boy. He was determine to take this boy home, as well as the Casket of Ancient Winters.
Hela was aghast at the smile ghosting Allfather's lips, it was the look she had seen only recent years before. At her brother's birth. "Why did you go and name it? Are we keeping it as a pet?" Odin held the infant close, hiding his disdain for his daughter from Loki's eyes. How could she speak so ill of the innocence, so cruel of the defenseless?
"He is to be your brother." He stated, much to her vexation.
"We are taking in monsters now?" She sneered at the infant, who was flesh colored now, while twirling her sword in hand. Odin clutched the swaddled baby away from her direct reach, "Your humanity is showing Allfather, now isn't a time to be feeble."
"You don't see it! Here," he lifts Loki, "here is our future. We no longer need to blindly ravage our enemies, instead we seek truth. We seek peace. He could unite our peoples."
"Have you lost your mind, as well as your dignity?" She slammed her sword down, looking outraged. "We are Asgardians, we are ruthless and worthy. We rule with no restrain and no mercy. You have grown weak," pointing to the boy in her father's arms, "and now proclaim to be the savior of monsters while drench knee deep in their blood. A hypocrite you are father." Odin bit his lip in frustration. Hela spoke repulsive candor he would tolerate no more.
"The only monster here today is you." Hela's ambitions had poisoned her, every last bit. Her chaos and anger were a black hole that would eventually consume everything and everyone around her. He only spoke of the truth. He couldn't ignore the danger she posed to his kingdom. He struggled slightly as he saw the betrayal in her eyes. He raised Gungnir to strike her down in one blow. "And you will be imprisoned as such."
----------------------------------------------------
"And Hela?" Frigga asked, her voice was small. Her husband had returned home with maimed face and an infant boy, but her troubled daughter was nowhere to be found.
"Her name will never be spoken in my presence again. Her behavior was her own undoing." He handed her the child, and passed along her, limping towards the vault. His demeanor was ragged and sad. His stride showed the mark of a defeated man. Her husband, a great warrior king, the Allfather of Realms, failed his duty as a father.
Frigga brought the boy closer to her chest, breathing in his scent – a crisp day during a snowfall. His dark tresses mirrored the daughter she would mourn in his place. The boy giggled in her arms causing a half sob burst through her lips. Loki, her second son. He would be her most coveted child. Her beloved. A symbol of her daughter's sacrifice. A boy she would love until the ends of her time.

My Beloved - Part 2
Tumblr media
Summary: Princess Lyanna Avon of Planet Zirkon (OFC) had been hiding on Midguard for two peaceful years with the Avengers under the alias, Dr. Lillian Zane. That is until Loki showed up making demands and revealing the truth to everyone she cared about.
This chapter leads back to the beginning of Loki and Lyanna’s story - how they were tied to each other in the first  place.
Pairing: Loki x OFC
Part 1
A/N: From this chapter on, the story would focus on Loki and Lyanna’s history that led up to their not so happy reunion in Chapter 1. You can find my aesthetic for Princess Lyanna at the end of the fic (which is just a bunch of pics off of Pinterest that represent what she is like in my head). Your feedback is welcome :)
@rcarbo1
Tumblr media
[Long long time ago...]
The planet of Zirkon was blessed with lands of beauty, crystal blue skies, and endless summer days. Their leader, King Azureth Avon was benevolent, just and merciful. Their harvest of boundless gems from abundant ores, mainly amethysts and sapphires, ensured a stable and prosperous economy.
Zirkonians were a peaceful race. Lovers of music, art, and literature, they were graceful and gentle in nature. Yet fate forced them to be anything but.
For centuries, they had been plagued with a war against the Frost Giants of Joutenheim. A war that ripped the land asunder. A war that had those beautiful summer days caught between cold and bitter jaws. A war that hardened gentle souls into reluctant warriors they did not know how to be.
Zirkonians did not revel in war. They abhorred it. Yet they had no choice but to fight for what was theirs against monsters laying claims to their lands and murdering their children. They were caught up in a war they were destined to lose no matter how hard or valiantly they fought.
King Azureth, the wise ruler that he was, could not stand by and let their kind fall into oblivion at the hands of these monsters. Not while he could help it.
Which is how he found himself in the throne room of Asgard, in the audience of the mighty Odin, the Allfather.
“Let us not mince words, King Azureth. We both know why you are here,” Odin said.
“Agreed,” Azureth replied with a gentle nod. “Zirkonians were never meant to be warriors but we have suffered greatly in the hands of the enemy. The enemy that is common to us both. I’m here to ask for an alliance between Asgard and Zirkon, so that we may unite our forces and resources to defeat the Frost Giants of Jotunheim.”
Odin took in the other king’s calm demeanor and the thinly veiled desperation underneath. He knew this alliance meant everything for the people of Zirkon – a matter of life and death. “Asgard is not at war with Jotunheim. Not anymore. I’ve treated for peace with the Frost Giants at a great cost to my realm. You are asking me now to denounce that very peace,” he stated his position.
“Zirkon will not survive this war. Not without your help,” Azureth said simply, without artifice or any play at politics. He laid everything bare, hoping against all odds. Asgard was his only hope.
Odin stepped down from his throne and Azureth stood his ground as the Allfather came to stand before him, face to face as equals. “Your honesty has earned my respect,” he said, laying a hand on Azureth’s shoulder in camaraderie. “As has your love for your people that has led you here. But this alliance will cost you.”
Azureth smiled in resignation. For all of Odin’s talk of respect and supposed sympathy, he was shrewd and calculating. He had not become the feared ruler of realms by making uncalculated decisions. He would incur no cost to himself or his kingdom if there was nothing to gain by it. Azureth had been prepared for it.
“If we are to pay tribute to your kingdom for the rest of our existence, so be it,” he said. “It is but a small price to pay for the survival of my people.”
Odin smiled back. “Zirkonian amethysts and sapphires are valued beyond comprehension. But it is not your gems that I am after.” At Azureth’s look of confusion, Odin elaborated. “We will cement this alliance by marriage. Your wife has just given birth to a daughter with eyes as violet as those amethysts you mine, I hear. My son, Loki, will take her hand in marriage.”
Azureth’s shock led him to speak rashly, and his words flowed unfiltered. “She is my only daughter. Just a newborn. Your son, your second son, is almost a full grown man!”
Odin purposefully ignored the implied offence that Loki was beneath the Zirkonian princess. He had his own devious reasons for wanting to see this marriage to fruition. He was not to be deterred by meagre slights or objections. “We are immortals. Age will cease to matter in a few years. But in deference to your concerns, they will only be betrothed for now. The wedding will take place only once she is of age.” He took in Azureth’s controlled indignation. “Those are my terms, King Azureth,” Odin said, making sure the other knew he would not budge or change his mind.
In the silence that ensued, neither glanced away. Odin knew Azureth had no other avenue but to agree to his terms of alliance. Azureth, as riled by the proposition as he was, knew the same.
“I accept you terms,” he said finally, in resignation, binding the two realms in an unbreakable bond.
And with those words, little Princess Lyanna’s fate was sealed years before she ever knew of it.
“Alright, little one,” Queen Arianna murmured softly, as she brushed through her daughter’s long silken hair. “Just as we practiced. From the top.”
Princess Lyanna’s voice rang out in the Queen’s solar in the soft melody of an ethereal Zirkonian folk song. The queen beamed down at her only daughter’s head proudly. She truly could sing beautifully. She had the power to transcend those who listened to a completely different place with just the magic of her voice.
It was a bittersweet day. One that mothers both dread and dream of at the same time. Tears sprang to her eyes but she did not let them fall. It would not be right for Lyanna to see her mother cry. Not on such an auspicious day as this. The princess was to finally be sent off to the kingdom of her betrothed. Nothing sad would taint that. Not even a mother’s tears of loss.
“Mother, do you think the Prince will like me?” Lyanna asked, her innocent eyes shining up at Arianna.
She laid a benevolent kiss on her temple. “How can anyone not like you?” she asked.
Lyanna nodded solemnly – far too solemnly for a child of her age. “If he doesn’t, I will win him over with my songs. I’ll sing until he has no recourse but to like me,” she said with quiet determination, completely serious in her intentions.
Arianna couldn’t help the little laugh that escaped her at her daughter’s antics. “Your father, had he lived, would have been so very proud of you now, little Lyanna.”
Lyanna looked so much like Azureth, even more than her brothers. The stubborn chin, sparkling amethyst eyes... she was already showing the promise of becoming a beautiful woman, even if she was still small and slight of build. Yet her beauty went beyond her appearance. It was in her spirit, her generosity and her quick wit. She was beautiful, and Arianna wished Azureth had been here to see their daughter grow up to be such a perfect creation.
It had been a tragic loss to all of Zirkon when their king had fallen in the war against the Frost Giants. The war had been won, with the help of Asgardian forces but the losses had been devastating. It devastated Arianna to this very day, for she had not just lost her king and husband, but the love of her life.
Deep down, a part of her regretted that Lyanna would not be afforded the luxury of falling in love. Her marriage had been arranged almost since her birth – more of an alliance than a union of love. Yet, she prayed that Lyanna would indeed find love with her Asgardian prince. A sweet soul like her deserved to be cherished.
“Come now, little one. We must depart soon. Your prince is waiting.”

The Powers That Be
TITLE: The Powers That Be CHAPTER NO./ONE SHOT: Chapter Thirty
AUTHOR: wolfpawn ORIGINAL IMAGINE: Imagine Loki discovering a hidden mutant when he realises they are at risk of being found by S.H.I.E.L.D. who experiments on mutants, he is the one to help them.
RATING: Teen and Up
A week passed with no word. Thor went in search of the supposed suitor; Loki went did everything to prevent Alexia from finding out, and Alexia told neither of what she already knew.
“His name is Roan, son of Marcus of the Light Elves,” Thor stated to Loki as they sat in his private rooms, discussing the situation.
“The Marcus that is a brother to Diarmaid?”
“The one and the same.”
“Correct me if I am wrong, but is not this Roan older than us?”
“By over half a millennia.” Thor nodded.
“So not only do they want her wed and bred, but by one far too old for her.” Loki shook his head. “Norn’s this is all madness.”
“I know brother.” Thor sighed; he too was feeling the pressure of it all. “I have spoken with him with regards it; he thought I knew all along.”
“And his reaction?”
“Like one that has come into a lifetime supply of free mead.” Loki’s face filled with rage. “Think about it Loki, she is powerful and not too hard to look at by many standards, and by Elvin ones, she is deemed very exotic.”
Loki shot to his feet in anger. “We took her from that hovel of a realm to prevent her from something like this, in fact, this is worse than what they had planned. Death is a better fate than this, for, in death, she would not be forced to endure.”
“Perhaps you are over-exaggerating there Loki.” Thor dismissed.
“You think that so, then tell me, Thor, though you and indeed I cannot fathom the idea of bearing a child, could you imagine the idea of being capable of carrying one for a moment, and then that you would be forced to do so against your will? You saw mother’s maids when they bore children; they were effectively useless at their job towards the end and were more company for her than anything because that is what such a task takes from the body.” Loki snapped. Thor admitted defeat after that and said no more on the matter. “I am going to go and take out my frustrations on an inanimate object before I get too angry at something I should not.” Loki rose to his feet and made to leave.
“I think I should do similar, I just need to check one thing first, and I will speak with you again later.” Thor agreed, getting to his feet himself and making his way to his sleeping quarters.
Loki strutted down the hall, his pace swift and his mind even more so. Everything had become everything he had tried to prevent. By taking Alexia from Midgard, by training her, he had done what he could to protect her, only for her to be dealt an even crueller hand on Asgard. He cursed himself, wondering internally why everything he touched turned to ash; even when he was trying to be good, he failed.
“So, I was just introduced to Roan.” He turned to see Alexia standing behind him in the hallway; there was no manner for her to be standing there only after he went by, he would have had to go by, and ignore her as he did so.
“What?”
“Roan, bit older than you and Thor, Light Elf, shares a couple of features with Diarmaid, are they related?”
“Yes.” Loki nodded, eyeing her carefully for her reactions. “Why are you telling me of someone you were introduced to? You have been forced to meet pretty much every second being in the Nine Realms at this stage.”
“No truer words were spoken.” She agreed; her face contorted slightly, indicating her dislike for the sheer amount of people she had been forced to endure. “Well, I spent the morning walking around the gardens with this Roan.”
“And?” Loki kept his face neutral, terrified of what Alexia was going to say next.
“He was really nice actually. He proposed and I said yes.” Alexia stated deadpan, causing Loki to blanch in horror at her words, which in turn, caused her to erupt in laughter. “Sorry, I couldn’t resist.” She stated in between gasps of breaths.
Loki had to inhale deeply after that. “That was not funny.”
“I beg to differ.” Loki glared at her. “I am trying to make the best of what can only be described as a terrible situation.” Loki stared at her silently. “Yes Loki, I know what is happening.”
“How?”
“Word of advice, if trying to prevent me from knowing something, don’t discuss it openly just up from where I am training after I see you and go out of sight.”
“You were listening to us?”
“It was a public viewing platform, I was going to say hello and instead got some fairly depressing news.”
“I did not want you to know, I thought it too angering.”
“Well I appreciate it, but with due respect, I really needed the forewarning about Lord Up-His-Own-Ass, thankfully I have been doing some research of my own.”
Loki frowned at her. “How? Who would you know here that would be able to get that information for you?”
“You forget one pivotal thing Loki, my maids, were your mother’s maids, and if there is one thing they know, it is everything.”
“I do not follow.”
“People think because maids and servants are just plebs and peasants, they are not intelligent and as good as part of the furniture, and in such, they are forgotten about when matters of great privacy are discussed, so, in truth, they know a substantial amount and when I asked my maids to find out who the potential suitors were, they asked Odin’s servants, and they told them.”
Loki made a mental note to remember that the next time he wished to discuss something private, he should dismiss his servants first. “I see, so you knew of Roan.”
“And the potential other suitor.”
“Wait, how did you?” she raised a brow at him. “Right, Odin’s servants.”
“Actually not that time no. That tidbit of information comes to us with thanks to the kitchen maids, who served Odin and the foreign and domestic Lords as they discussed those matters.”
“Do any of the palace staff keep anything to themselves?” he asked.
“It appears not; and thank goodness for that.” Loki gave her a scathing look. “Do you want to know who it is your father wanted me married off to or not?”
“He is not my father.”
“Okay, daddy issues.”
“Just tell me.”
“Thor.”
“WHAT?”
“T H O R, Thor. As in, your adopted brother, the future king of Asgard, big blonde dude with a hammer, likes to sneeze lightning bolts, you know, that guy.”
“Why?” he asked in horror. “If that Jane character was not deemed worthy enough for him, why on all the realms would he insist on you?”
“Gee, thanks for the confidence boost there.” She stated in a deadpan voice. “Because, you idiot, think about it, then I would be even more allied to this house, and of course, the very obvious thing of me controlling four elements, and Thor controlling another. If the idea that I could spawn one powerful wielder could come to pass, it would heighten the chances if there was more than one parent to contribute such genes.”
“I am going to be ill.”
Alexia slapped his arm. “You are? How do you think I feel? It isn’t you that they want to shove Thor's four hundred pound ass onto, and let's not get into any more detail than that, I don’t want to lose my breakfast.”
“Actually, in that unit of measurement, Thor weighs over six hundred pounds,” Loki informed her.
“Great, so I would ultimately be flattened. Yeah, not happening. I love Thor, the same way I would have loved a brother, big, burly and over protective of me, but yeah, no way in a million years would I want to have sex with him.”
“Good to know.” Loki shuddered. “So all this time, you knew?”
“Yep.” She popped the ‘p’ at the end. “And I know you have been actively trying to stop me from finding out.”
“Well, that was a waste of a week of my life.” Loki groaned.
“So what do we do now?”
“We?”
“Do you honestly think I am going to sit around listening to some dry balls talk about himself day and night while you and brother dearest try and get this sorted, like hell, I am getting involved too?”
“Right, well, then, let’s get a plan together.” Loki tried to think.
“I have an idea if you are interested,” Alexia suggested, Loki looked at her with keen interest.
“What?” Odin growled angrily. “What do you mean she is requesting an audience at this hour?” the Einherjar looked at him, wondering if that was a rhetorical question.
The doors to the Allfather’s rooms opened and Alexia walked in, Loki and Thor in tow. “Requesting would imply I would take no for an answer.” She declared, coming to a halt in front of him. “We need to discuss a little matter.”
Odin looked to the two Gods behind her, Thor looked somewhat sheepish, and Loki had the appearance of a cat that had been locked into a dairy cellar for the night. “And pray tell, what is this ‘little matter’?” he asked cautiously.
“One Roan, actually, for all his talking, I don’t think he ever mentioned a surname.” Alexia found herself forced to go over the elf’s mindless rambles again to try and recall if he had mentioned it.
Thor leant in close to her for a moment. “Light Elves do not have such things.” He informed her.
“So how do they know who another one is referring to?” She asked him before dismissing her own question. “I’m getting off point. I know why I am being forced to endure him, and it stops now.” she glared at the Allfather. “And before you even dare blame either Loki or Thor, they did not tell me; I am not a fool, I know you may not see me as being on a par with you, but I am intelligent enough to know what is afoot, and I am not having anything to do with it.”
“It…”
“Should have been discussed with me to even start with. I am not some horse that won the Kentucky Derby; I am allowed to decide for myself if and when I may choose to have kids. But for the record, the answer to that was going to be the thirty-seventh of Never. I am not maternal, I am not in a position to be having children anyway, and forcing some weird self –obsessed elf on me just because he comes from a strong line of elves is not going to change my mind. Besides, no one even asked if I was that way inclined.” She ranted.
Odin frowned, not knowing what a ‘Kentucky Derby’ was and at the last part. “I do not follow.”
“What if I do not like men, what if I am attracted to women?” she challenged, even Thor and Loki looked at her then. “Well, no one asked.”
“What in the Norn’s are you speaking of?” Odin queried, utterly confused.
“Is there not different sexual orientations here?” she turned to Loki and Thor.
“Not really, if one finds one form more attractive than the other, they tend to still procreate, it is what is expected of you, once you do your duty, extramarital affairs of whatever sort do not tend to be an issue,” Thor informed her, having seen enough of Midgard to know of their different lifestyles.
“Yeah, either way, still not happening.” Alexia dismissed. “And before you even go and say anything else, your personal idea of a suitor is a non-runner either.”
“Wait, how does she know more than we do?” Thor asked Loki, who was smiling at him, awaiting the next bombshell, knowing that Thor had no idea who she was referring to. His grin concerned Thor significantly. “What? What do you know that I do not, and do not say a lot?” Thor growled, but Loki’s grin only grew. Thor looked to his father, who could not meet his eye. “No.” he then looked to Alexia, who gave the slightest of nods, confirming his suspicion. “No, never, not in a hundred millennia.” He declared, repulsed at the idea of being forced on the small Midgardian he had wanted to protect.
“You need to think of what is best for the realms,” Odin growled angrily at his son.
“And you think that is to force a friend to bear my child, what can you possibly hope to achieve from such an act?” Thor bellowed in return.
“He wants a brat that can control all the elements you two do,” Loki informed him, enjoying the mayhem from his front row seat.
“It is what is best,” Odin repeated. “Stop being a petulant child and see what is required of you as a future King and Allfather. You are a better choice that Roan of Alfheim.”
“No, I most certainly am not,” Thor argued.
“Well, no he has a point, should I take leave of my senses and agree to anyone to do this sick little breeding programme, it is you over that other dry balls, but it won’t be happening at all.” She turned to look at Odin again. “If you want my help at all, you will let me do things my way, and perhaps, if you do not pull any more stunts, I may consider staying here and willingly helping Asgard, if not, I go back to Midgard.”
“They will kill you,” Odin stated.
“I rather die, to be honest.” She stared him straight in the eye, to show him she was serious.

Loki stopped. Again? “What did you say?”
Heimdall looked at Loki with a golden gaze. “You know what I said, Prince.”
Loki was frozen. How did he know?
“I see all, Your Highness.”
Loki's eyes went wide. “Will you say anything to mother and father?”
Heimdall smiled. “Do you wish me to say anything?”
“No.”
“Then I will not.”
Loki did not believe him. He had no reason not to—Heimdall had only ever told him the truth—but he did not trust anyone in this situation. “Swear it.”
“I swear I will not say anything to the majesties, Prince Loki of Asgard.”
Loki’s lips thinned. A broken swear was punishable by the loss of one’s hand, precedented by Tyr, who had lost his hand after a broken promise while trying to keep Fenrir at bay. Loki still felt guilty for the binding of his wolven offspring, but the mighty beast had gotten out-of-hand long ago. He had never done anything too awful, but his jaws were a danger to Asgardians and others lesser than them.
Even so, that did not matter at the moment. “Can you see that man?”
“What man, Your Highness?”
Loki gritted his teeth. “You know ‘what man!’” he exclaimed and stared Heimdall right in the face. “Michael Smith.”
Heimdall gazed past his eyes and into the nothingness as per usual. “There are many Michael Smiths, Your Highness; you’ll have to be more specific.”
“The child lover!” Loki was growing desperate. His eyes widened. His voice grew strained. “Can you see him?”
Heimdall’s eyes shut. When they opened again, his irises flicked to look at Loki. “I have found him.”
Loki practically grabbed Heimdall by the shoulders. “Where?”
“A city in the United States of America known as New York City, the sector of Manhattan—”
“Yes, I know where Manhattan is. Where is he specifically?”
Heimdall’s eyes shut again, and Loki blinked. When his own eyes opened again, he could see through Heimdall’s view. He was on a lonely alleyway; a dingy blue door was to his left. He walked through it and up the stairs. What he saw he had not expected—it was a relatively decent home with clean furniture and a dank smell to it that alluded to mildew. There, sitting on the couch, was a fat man with a fresh grease stain on his shirt, eating pizza while watching television. He was relatively young, although past his prime. Loki placed him at maybe his mid-thirties in Midgardian years. His cell phone box, which sat beside him, buzzed to life. It was the chat, from someone named Hannah.
Had he strung in multiple girls? Loki walked forward on quiet feet. He knew the man could not see him, but Loki preferred the silence. We should get together some time, it read. As the man saw it, he paused his show, put down his pizza, and sat up.
Loki glared. Only a man with no scrap of honor could ever do something so… armr. For a brief moment, Loki thought of Kate. She would have asked what armr meant. Of course, he wouldn’t have told her. He too thoroughly enjoyed watching her struggle to figure out his native tongue.
The man spoke aloud as he typed out what he said. Loki had never understood why some Midgardians did that—although he figured it was because they were too dull to speak it in their heads. Even so, he appreciated it now. Every few words had an annoying splice of silence between them. “I… was just thinking… the same thing—dammit, where’s the tongue smiley-face—why not… meet… me at a… park down… near… where you… live?”
It only took a few moments for Hannah’s swift finger’s to reply. I was thinking closer to you… you said you live in New York, right? I have a school trip coming up that I could probably slip away from and meet you at some point. What’s your address?
The man paused. He let out a little grumble. “Why not… just… meet… in a… park?”
Another paused. It’ll be too obvious that I’m gone, plus people might see us. If you give me the address, they won’t know where I am. Hannah—Loki realized it was probably Kate—was rather eager to meet him.
The man was swift to reply with his address, practically handing Loki precisely what he needed. He smiled, and when he blinked again, he was back on Asgard.
“Are you sure about this, Your Highness? If you are to get caught, there certainly will be consequences to your actions.”
“It’s quite simple, Heimdall, they won’t catch me.”
“Very well. Shall I send you there now?”
Loki wasn’t one to ask, but this situation was unique. “Please.”
Heimdall nodded his head, and in the next few moments, Loki was in Manhattan. It had improved since his attack, although it still smelled horrid. Loki transformed into his usual Midgardian wear, used some simple seiðr in order to blend in, and walked away towards the address given.
Tumblr media
He reached the alleyway within the hour and knocked on the door.
There was no reply, so he knocked again.
Nothing.
Loki gritted his teeth. He did not have time for something like this. He knocked one last time. When there was no reply, he became a pigeon—something he had seen quite often around the large city—and flew up to a window. He pecked at the screen, breaking it with relative ease. The room he was breaking into smelled of rotting food and general filth and the door led out into the room he had seen the man in.
Loki pecked a small hole into the screen and crawled through. He transformed back, sneaking through the shadows with ease until he saw the man. He was still conversing with Hannah, making sure to speak whatever he typed, and Loki slipped into the ample space between the couch and the wall. He summoned a knife and placed it on the man’s neck, leaning down to say: “May Hela, Goddess of Death, dream of you, foul creature.”
He slipped the knife across the man’s neck, allowing the blade to slice into a particularly important vein so he would bleed out. Blood spurted from the slight wound, and he yelled, impulsively trying to stand up. The knife drove deeper into his neck. The man recoiled, violently writhing on the couch as crimson blood spilled from his neck and across his body. He was letting out a blood-curdling scream, but Loki was calm and steady. He held the man by the nose, ceasing him from breathing, and blood burst from his mouth as he coughed it up.
At long last, his body went limp. Loki released him, and he fell onto the couch, blood still pouring from his wound and soaking into the fabric.
