To Breathe Underwater (Luffy x Mermaid!Reader)

Okay yall this is the first of many in a mermaid/siren series I decided to WRITE LIKE AN IDIOT LOL sorey I fell off and haven’t been active I feel like I’m going to crumble- like a strong breeze could take me outta this point.

Anyway I hope you enjoy!

Water fills his lungs are he struggles against the still waters. This was the price to pay for his abilities. the ocean consuming him, weighing him down, pulling him into her cold embrace. It burns his nose and throat as he cough the last of his air into bubbles.

His eyes are begingin to close as he falls unconscious, flashes of light swirl around him. Though muffled from the water, he can hear what sounds like metal pieces clinking quietly. Warmth envelops him, arms wrapped around his body as he's pulled up.

What was this...Who was this. He forced his eyes open, the water making it a blurry sight but, it was definitely a who. And a very pretty who at that.

They were calm, eyes scanning his rapidly as her webbed fingers and iridescent hands twinkled in the light. She hold his face, his consciousness fading faster then ever, and with a single connection to lips she preaches air into him, swapping the water that filled with lungs for oxygen. Again and again and again, she breathes into him, slowly but surely swimming him up to the surface, to shore.

You can’t help but trace his face, the sun making his hair look shinier, and his face so much brighter. You try counting the freckles there, its seemingly impossible. He breaths slow, chest rising and falling and you trace the scar there. You’d never been this close to a human before....they're so delicate.

He coughs, the last remnants of water spilling from his lips as you gasp and flinch back. You can hear voices from afar but you don't move, far too worried about the human in front of you to care. You crawl back to him, pushing the wet hair from his face and cupping his cheeks after. He's missing something...

"Who are you?" His voice is raspy, yet concerned.

You shake your head, looking back to the water to see his hat floating. Bingo! You grab it, and set it over his face, leaning close to his ear before letting your name roll off your glossy lips.

He repeats it, a slow mantra of your name drips off his tongue as you slither back to the water.

"That was a mermaid! Luffy got saved by a mermaid!" Usopp gasps, pulling his captain up with a smile.

Of course, Luffy was still a bit delierous form the deamn near death experience, but he made a note to remember than name so he could properly thank the thing that saved his life.

You.

_6.5 months later_

Winter draws in and your tail was shed for a pair of limbs longer than your arms. It wasn't the first time you'd had this happen and it certainly would be the last. Every winter, a mermaid sheds their tail to seek warmth on land during the cold and snowy months. Then, in spring, when the first few flowers bloom and the tempurature rises, you return to sea.

Now, you were sitting in one of this villages many taverns, well, one of which mermaids like yourself have come for shelter for decades. The current owner had given you a nice room and some fresh clothes for the winter months and in return for giving you that you would provide entertainment.

So there you are, hair flowing over your shoulders, voice ringing sweetly across the space as customers, pirate or otherwise, indulge.

You hadn't realized that the table at the far left of the eatery had been occupied, and one of the guest simply couldn't tear his eyes away from you. You were so...familiar.

"Luffy you look like you’re burning holes through her, calm down. " Nami speaks, a smirk forming over he features seeing her Captains current state.

Luffy wasn’t very well versed in just etiquette but then again you didn’t really need that when you were a pirate. The content of his character was far more important than idk maybe not standing on a rich ladies table and requesting a boat from her.

Anyway, he snaps his gaze away from you and back to Nami. There you were, glittering under this mellow spotlight as your voice carried over sweet, diabetes inducing melodies and his heart can’t help but squeeze.

You’d saved his life, that’s something he’ll never let go, somehow feeling a pinch in debt to you. His eyes trail from the top of your head to the shoes on your feet. Usopp might have an answer for that….

“I swear she was a mermaid when she saved me. Usopp, you know a lot about those things, why is it that she has legs now?” He questions, leaning forward with a wide smile.

The man in question stammers for a moment trying to find the words but before he can even get some outlandish explanation out, the waitress just so happened to cut in.

“This has been a rest spot for mermaid for years. They get legs in the winter to stay warm on land among the people. Then, in spring, they return to sea, we’ll if they do choose. The longer they stay on land, the harder it is to go back to their tails.” She explains, setting down drinks, tucking the tray under her arm.

“Some merfolk opt to stay human and they just, unadapt I suppose. They lose their tails forever.”

Luffy draws back to the stage to realize you’re not there and a panic shoots through him. He grabs the waitresses arm, wondering where you’d gone and she only points to an empty staircase. That’s all it takes for him to jump out his seat and leave his crew behind. He needed to see you. He needed to hear your voice. Feel your hands over his face, tracing his freckles and over his lips.

He wanted his heart to feel as if it somehow spring out his chest when you spoke. Is this what a crush feels like???? He did it know anything about you accept that you’d been kind enough to save him, you were a mermaid, and god were you absolutely beautiful. But, he found himself wanting to know you, and when he wants something, he’s determined to get it.

The light creeking of your door makes you flinch but you turn to see that same man you'd though tof nonstop for the past 6 months. The silence is deafening, your heartbeat ringing n your ears and his does the same.

You swallow dryly, trying to think of something to say but...what is there to say? He steps in, pausing for a moment to search your eyes for protest, but you only encourage it with a step forward.

"You look different when you’re not drowning." You joke poorly, seeing him slile.

"So do you when im not busy trying to breathe underwater.” He laughs, seeing you smile in response.

Bruce loves his kids, he just really doesn't know how to say it. So he shows it instead, usually with ridiculous displays and gestures of affection. Because he's a billionaire, ya know? And also a massive dork.

Eleven year old Jason comes to realise all of the above, from the middle of the Aegean Sea.

The first time Jason gets on a plane he's eleven.

Bruce is taking them to Greece for a vacation. He says it's because work has been hectic, but Jason's pretty sure it's because he (Jason) has been reading The Odyssey. Bruce might be the whole big boss of Wayne Enterprises, but every meeting Jason's ever overheard from the study starts with Bruce saying "Hello!" all cheery before going "But let me hand you over to the most important man at Wayne Enterprises", and then Mr. Fox takes over, so it can't be all that hectic.

Besides, Bruce does stuff like this sometimes. Like once, Jason told him he'd never seen a basketball game and Bruce took them to see the Gotham Guardsmen versus the Chicago Bulls the very next week. They sat courtside, and Jason had the biggest load of nachos he'd ever had in his whole life, and Bruce even let him try a sip of his beer (which was gross, by the way). And then after the game Jason got to meet both teams and try and shoot some hoops with Michael Jordan, who just "happened" to be there (yeah right, Bruce) and he got a tour of the entire stadium.

So, when Bruce looked over the top of his paper one evening, with the same look he had when he asked if Jason wanted to be adopted, and said "Shall we go to Greece next week?" Jason's pretty sure it's 'cause he (Jason) was reading The Odyssey. And nothing to do with work.

They fly from Newark to Athens, in the first class suite on Etihad. They have their own mini apartment on the plane, with two wide-screen TVs and a double bed, their own bathroom and a shower. It's almost as big as Jason's old apartment in the squat he was living in before Bruce found him, but not quite. It's a lot nicer though and Jason can't quite believe all this is on a plane.

The air crew greet them with a smile and give them bags full of expensive 'amenities' and stuff and hand Bruce a glass of champagne. He tells them he used to have a private jet, but that they're terrible for the environment and he's trying to reduce his carbon footprint. He says it in that stupid voice he does when he's pretending to be what Dick calls a "himbo billionaire" but there's the secret grin at the corner of his mouth that's just for Jason, that makes Jason feel like he's with the best man in the world.

When they're somewhere over the Atlantic, the lady looking after their section asks if Jason would like to see the cockpit. It's not normally allowed, she says, but Mr. Wayne is such a good customer (and man, she adds, batting her eyes at Bruce over Jason's head, as though Jason wouldn't know what she meant) that the Captain has agreed to make an exception.

It's dusk, and the sky from the cockpit is bigger and more brilliant that Jason has ever seen. A glorious canvas of pastel pinks and purple hues, stretching up into a deep dark blue where stars are slowly beginning to blink into life. The Captain greets Jason with a smile and Bruce with a handshake. Explains what all the different lights and buttons and switches mean, and let's Jason wear her hat for a photo.

By the time they land in Athens, Jason is pretty sure this is the second best day of his life. (The first best is the day Bruce adopted him).

They're spend the night at a fancy hotel, in a room on top of a cliff over looking the Saronic Gulf, which Jason has never heard of but is apparently part of the Aegean Sea. They have their own private swimming pool and two huge beds - one each, though Bruce says Jason can still share if he wants to.

The air is warm and thick, even as the day begins to fade, and though he's not that good at swimming yet, Jason is desperate to jump straight into the pool. "After some supper," Bruce promises, sounding a lot like Alfred. But he keeps his word and the two of them lie on their inflatables as night falls. Above them, in the dark, there are more stars in the sky than Jason has seen in his whole life.

The first time Jason has been on a boat he's still eleven.

He and Bruce wander down to a little dock below the cliffs wearing matching boat shoes and shirts. Jason is wearing his Gotham Guardsmen cap and Bruce has a white strip of sunblock under his eyes.

"Technically it's a catamaran" Bruce tells Jason, explaining the difference between hulls of the two as they step aboard. "Kalimera George!" He says, "O gios mou, Jason. Jason, this is our skipper, George."

Later, many years later, Jason will know enough Greek to realise Bruce introduced him as his son, but as he steps aboard the cat all he can do is wonder what Bruce said, smile shyly and shake George's hand.

They sail south from Athens, passing the Temple of Poseidon in coastal Sounio and onto the Aegean Islands. Jason has finished The Odyssey by now, but has moved onto other Greek myths, Theseus and the Minotaur, Artemis and Apollo, Icarus and Daedalus. The sea is a brilliant, turquoise blue, diamond bright under the warm Mediterranean sun and by the time they reach the island of Kythnos, Jason is itching to jump in.

They find a secluded cove, with a small rocky beach and George drops anchor.

"Last one in is a Green Lantern fanboy!" Jason crows, and he leaps from the back deck into the crystal cool water.

It's his first time in the sea, any sea, and he can taste the salt on his lips. The water is calm and he bobs lightly, laughing as Bruce makes a strangled cry and leaps in after him.

"You love Green Lantern!" Jason teases, giggling with his head thrown back to keep it above the surface. He's not so good at treading water yet.

Bruce drifts over to him, pouting. "I wasn't ready, no fair." He says, pulling Jason towards him and onto his back.

Jason closes his eyes to the sun as Bruce swims them round the cove a little.

"Let's swim back to the cat." Bruce says, and Jason chews his lip because it's a little far. "I'll be right beside you." Bruce promises and they swim back to the boat, together.

That night they lie out on the deck and Bruce points out all of the constellations from the Greek myths; Orion and Cassiopeia and Hercules, though obviously Herakles is the proper Greek name for him.

"Whose your favourite Greek hero, B?" Jason asks, his head on Bruce's stomach.

And because he's corny like that, Bruce says "Jason."

Jason's first crush, the first one where it feels like something, he's eleven still, and he and Bruce are on a tiny island called Nykterides. It's a nature reserve for bats and other animals and, honestly, sometimes Bruce is such a nerd, because of course he owns the island too. And of course it's a bat-island. Bat species in the Aegean are vulnerable to habitat loss and climate change (apparently), so the island offers a safe refuge. He tells Jason all of this with a very serious look on his face and all Jason can think is what a huge dork Bruce is. There's a tightness in his chest as he listens to Bruce explain, but it takes him a little while to realise the feeling is fondness.

Only a few local families live on Nykterides, Bruce says, as they sail up to the tiny harbour. The buildings are square and white, with some blue domes but mainly flat, low roofs. Conservation staff also live on the island, scientists and biologists too, and there's a small taverna on the shore where they can eat and drink together.

A boy, no more than 19 greets them as they approach. "Kalispera, Mr. Wayne." He flashes them a smile and Jason feels a little breathless all of a sudden. The boy's skin is a glowing golden bronze, his hair falling in dark, rich waves.

"Kalispera, Giannis." Bruce says, a hand on Jason's head. "This is Jason."

"Ah, like the Argonaut?" Giannis asks with a wink, and something in Jason's stomach flips. He thinks about Apollo, most beautiful of all the God's and tries not to blush.

Giannis serves them lunch, and they sit with George and the others on the island, in the shade of a few palms. They eat fresh caught mussels and clams, with salad of tomatoes and cucumber and olives. Fresh cheese with honey, and rice and vegetables wrapped in vine leaves. Jason feels like he's living in a dream, grins up at Bruce and smiles shyly at Giannis as they clink their glasses and say "Yamas!".

As the evening wanes, Giannis tries to teach Jason a few words of Greek.

"Efcharisto," The words roll off Giannis' tongue and Jason finds himself staring at the older boy's mouth.

"Eff-ha-rist-oh" Jason repeats, and Giannis laughs and says it's close enough.

That night Jason goes to bed giddy and breathless and dreams of Apollo.

The first time Jason realises he loves someone, truly loves them, other than his Mom that is, he's twelve. Just.

He and Bruce have been sailing for a week or so now, island hoping across the Aegean and the Cyclades. The sea breeze is just enough to keep away the mid-August heat and Jason is sure there isn't a more beautiful part of the world to be found.

Bruce has been promising something special for Jason's birthday. Bruce is ridiculously rich, and just plain ridiculous, so it's probably a helicopter up to Mount Olympus or something totally crazy, which to be fair, would be beyond cool.

But when the night before his birthday Bruce comes to him looking forlorn, Jason is worried.

"I'm sorry Jay," Bruce says, and it looks like he's in physical pain for how sorry he is. "I really wanted to do something special for your birthday but it isn't going to work out."

"That's okay," Jason says, but before he can continue Bruce speaks again and says,

"I wanted to take you to Themyscira, and Diana thought she could get you in, but Hippolyta said no."

For the briefest of moments, Jason thinks he might be disappointed, but instead there's a rush in his chest and he laughs, head back and heart full. "Bruce, you big boob!" He says, shoving Bruce's arm. "Men aren't allowed on Themyscira."

Bruce slips his arm around Jason and pulls him in close for a hug. "Yeah, but you're just a little man, not a whole one. I thought they might make an exception."

"It would have been cool," Jason muses, from where his face is squashed against Bruce's chest. "But then I couldn't have spent my birthday with you."

Bruce makes a noise in his throat and hugs Jason a little tighter.

"Love you, B." Jason says, and it's the first time he's ever said it to anyone that wasn't his Mom.

Bruce grunts again, and hugs Jason even tighter. "Happy birthday, lad." He mumbles.

The air is warm, and the catamaran bobs lightly in the water. Waves lap at the hull and Jason grins.

He and Bruce sit and watch the stars together.

Fellow Honest

What’s this? A marketable (and sentient) plushie made in his own likeness? Of course Fellow’s going to nab his tsum self and try to auction it off for a quick buck! … But somehow, it always comes back to him and an angry customer comes with it, accusing him of scamming them.

Other scams Fellow and his tsum pull together include him distracting a target while the tsum fishes in their pockets for valuables, running a roadside show (come watch the tsum bounce and twirl its cane), and selling a spell that brings inanimate objects to life (pretending to demonstrate with the tsum). They walk away with a decent amount of cash for their efforts.

Tsum!Fellow has the smallest pair of glasses you ever did see. It doesn’t always wear them, but whenever it does you notice it is trying to read a teeny tiny book upside down and lecture.

Tsum!Fellow stares at its larger counterpart when he has food on him. Fellow will insist it’s HIS grub and that the tsum should get its own, but soon enough he caves and breaks off a small piece for his little buddy to enjoy with him.

Like Fellow, the tsum loves apples! If you give it a fresh fruit, it’ll zoom around it in circles, shaving away at the flesh until there’s nothing left but the core. (Epel has deemed it an apple-eatin’ termite.)

Normally the tsum is docile but it puffs up at anger when it’s looked down on (particularly by rich or influential people). When that happens, tsum!Fellow swells really big and proceeds to crush foes with its great size.

Tsum!Fellow knows how to make a quick getaway. When there’s someone chasing after it, it throws sand or dirt (or even confetti or glitter from under its hat) in their face before skedaddling. It’s not above using cheap tactics if it nets results!

Tsum!Fellow gets all sparkly-eyed when it sees a stage, whether it’s on TV or it’s a real one. It gets excited and tries to hop on to put on a performance of its own!

There’s something a little childish and carefree about tsum! Fellow. It loves hitching rides in pockets or on heads, treating them like their own amusement park rides. It also loves seating itself on toy traits, boats, and cares, imagining itself traveling the world and having grand adventures!

Tsum!Fellow is quick to cozy up to anyone it thinks will benefit it. For this reason, you’ll see it snuggling up to dorm leaders, the staff, the headmaster, even you! It nuzzles against your hand and makes puppy-dog eyes until you melt in its flimsy hands.

While Fellow mends his suit and pants, tsum!Fellow likes to dive in the fabric and swim around in it. It gets in the way of his work, so Fellow fishes the tsum out and appoints it the role of being his pincushion. (The tsum is very grumpy about this and they get into a whole squabble about it.)

Gidel

It’s rare to see tsum!Gidel by itself. It’s normally tagging along with tsum!Fellow as a minion or a helper in some of its tricks. If the two are ever separated, they’ll both appear slightly distressed and will try to seek the other out.

It’s curious about so many things. Tsum!Gidel bounces around in a hyperactive manner, making it quite difficult to contain. It displays a special interest in school, hopping among stacks of books and forgotten pencils, scaling them to see how high up it vanishes climb.

Gidel and his tsum self can communicate effectively, despite neither of them being able to speak. They’re great about reading body language and anticipating what’s to come next from the other. It’s almost like they’re finishing each other’s sandwiches sentences.

Tsum!Gidel is very clumsy. It’s a normal occurrence for it to fall onto its face or to roll and roll until it makes contact with something sturdy. It doesn’t quite have its footing down yet…

Of course, it comes with its own little hammer! The hammer seems light and makes a little squeaky sound when tsum!Gidel bonks the back of your hand with it.

When the tsum gets scared, it scurries into Gidel’s oversized sleeves. It won’t come back out again until it’s completely sure the danger has passed. (Occasionally you’ll see it poking its round little head out and checking the area.)

It attempts to tie Gidel’s laces for him since they’re tend to be loose. Unfortunately, the tsum ends up getting knotted in the laces and Gidel has to spend 20 minutes untangling the poor thing!

Gidel didn’t realize the tsum was sentient at first. He popped it into his mouth thinking it was a bread roll or a fancy marshmallow. The tsum had to squirm and fight for its life to escape the jaws of death!

They’re study buddies! Gidel and his tsum copy down letters of the alphabet together, then exchange notebooks and check each others’s work. It’s harder for Gidel to understand tie tsum (maybe on account of the notebook being so small), so he takes the mantle and tutors his new buddy.

Sometimes the tsum takes on a size closer to that of a stuffed plushie. In those instances, Gidel fiercely hugs them close. There’s a comforting sensation in owning an item for just pleasure, not solely for one’s survival—the life that Gidel is so used to.

Tsum!Gidel assumes a bigger form and allows Gidel to use it as a pillow at night. The boy had never been able to sleep on something this squishy and soft—is it really okay for him to fall asleep like this?

It's so much fun throwing the Vatores into random historical eras. This is what you'll get if you throw my late Edwardian Zhu-Vatore household into your game! I may have gone a bit overboard.

There's absolutely gorgeous Edwardian cc out there, so I collected it for you 💖

The Edwardian era was marked by excess and conspicuous consumption. They liked big hair and big hats, and by the end of the period people had come to agree that the sexiest shape a woman can be is cylindrical.

Caleb, Lily, and Lilith really pull off the look. Neither lady is particularly cylindrical, but they look great in these dresses and absolutely rock the Gibson Girl updo and fancy hats.

I aged Lily down and changed her hair color, removed Lilith's tattoos, and gave Caleb a basic dark form, but no other changes. I tried to make them cousins? But when I loaded the household onto my laptop, they weren't cousins anymore :(

You'll need Vintage Glamour, in addition to Vampires and Werewolves. A few of Caleb's outfits and his hair are from VG and you CANNOT pair side bangs with Edwardian clothing. It's a fashion law.

In order to cut back on the amount of cc, there's less variety of hats, hair, gloves, and shoes than I'd like. I also didn't include jewelry. If people are interested, I can put together a list of supplementary cc that can be swapped in.

move this household into wolfsbane manor with the default vatores, then delete the defaults

use mods/cheats to make the new lily the vatores' cousin (i think mccc and ui cheats can both do it)

move custom lily in with the volkov household - use cheats/mods to copy her default relationships if you'd like - and then delete default lily. you will also need to mod/cheat lily back into the moonwood collective if you want her to keep her position. all three characters still have their occult rank and powers. she does NOT keep her special moonwood mill gossip dialogue - not sure why.

This isn't the most historically accurate set, but I'm calling it close enough - if you're interested in learning more about the era, Edwardian Promenade is a great place to start.

Edwardians had really weird, complicated rules about hat and glove wearing. For most of these outfits, people would don and remove their hats and gloves based on social context - they shouldn't be wearing gloves when they eat, for example, but should always wear gloves when they're dancing. It's hard to find consistent information about the specific rules, but I've read excerpts from the Edwardian equivalents of Miss Manners and Good Housekeeping and they are fascinating.

I found some great reference images for sportswear from Silhouettes Costumes. Caleb's athletic outfit is based on this contemporary illustration. The unfastened bottom button is a nice detail to have - it was fashionable for men to leave the last button undone, as a nod to King Edward.

The ladies have 3 sleep outfits - the first are nightgowns that they would wear to sleep, the second are corsets, with other undergarments still on underneath, and the third are chemises, which were worn under their corsets - the underest part of the underwear, essentially.

So I will say I probably should’ve done these differently (turn Creative into Artistic as opposed to Vampire, but whatever. They actually started out alphabetical in game which I thought was neat. They’re still fairly close!

But basically what I’ve done here is replace almost all the turn-ons with personality/trait based ones. I’m wishing we could mix and match individual turn-ons actually because as I write this list I’m already worried about people thinking there’s too many supernatural ones. But they’re used in my game so idk. They’re much more relevant than full face makeup I feel.

For badges sims require a silver level to have the turn-on. For skills I’ve increased it to 8 points, and if a turn-on mentions a hobby, a sim either needs 5 points or have it as their One True Hobby.

“Ugh, it’s so hot!” Kai groans as he sucks on his popsicle hanging upside down on the couch in front of the large white fan.

“Ugh, move your legs Kai...” Jay moans as he was using his one of Nya’s headband to push back his curly brown hair from his melting forehead.

“Both of you hush your hot breaths are making it worse” Nya snaps frantically fanning herself with her tank top.

Cole was sprawled on the couch with his drink hat that was now room temperature, “ugh, it’s too hot to even play video games.” Cole tosses the controller on to the table leaning his head back.

“You think we can use Zane as a freezer?” Kai suggests his voice chopping through the fan, suckling on his popsicle. “Maybe if we ask nicely, he can freeze us…” Cole mumbles out.

“Nya, I want water” Jay whines as Nya huffs, “I’m all dried out, I don’t have the energy” Nya sighs dramatically. 

The team lays defeated as they squabble with one another.

You soon walk in smiling with a cooler against your hip.

“Oh wow, you guys look like you’re melting~” coming into the living room with a cooler filled with ice and drinks,

Jay looks up “what’s that? looks cold!” Jay looked desperate wanting whatever was in the cooler, he resembled someone addicted looking for anything to help his craving.

“It’s for later, Zane and I are going to the beach” you walk over to the door and place the cooler down, the others lift their heads, “the beach?!”

“Holy heck yea, let’s go!” Kai finding the energy he pops up and twists himself to look at you his popsicle forgotten as it falls from his mouth.

You giggle, “then c’mon, Zane is getting lunch ready to take, we’re gonna have a barbeque later so he’s getting that ready too.”

“What are we waiting for boys? Let’s get our gear on!” Cole takes his hat off and races the others up the stairs to get their swim wear on. Shaking your head you continue with your task, 

“Did you tell the others?” Zane pops in holding a basket guessing it was the lunch and a bag of meat and veggies for the barbeque. “yea, they looked like little kids~” you chuckle as Zane places the stuff on top of the cooler. 

Zane smiles, “I am glad, I was hoping for something fun to help us all escape the heat.” You nod looking to the clock, “we should get ready, I can’t wait to get there!” you skip up to your room with Zane close behind to get ready as well in his own room. 

Zane had suggested the idea of a beach day to you when you had woken up that morning, he said his falcon found a spot on the beach for you all to have where no one knew about. A secluded spot for you guys was perfect!

You were eager to go with Zane thinking that he wanted to go with you, like alone. 

However Zane had the thought of bringing everyone, you weren’t upset about it, more the merrier.

But you couldn’t lie, being alone with Zane on the beach together did sound romantic. You had hoped that your boyfriend was suggesting a date.

Zane was a bit slow when it came to romantic things in a relationship, you having to initiate almost all your guy’s intimate moments, but you knew what you were getting into when you declared your feelings for the nindroid months ago. 

You don’t ever feel sour about it either you liked showing Zane different ways of being affectionate and how to show love in different ways and what some feelings meant. You just can’t help but think about cute scenarios of you two together and Zane leading you in those moments, he’s so gentle, yet precise with everything he does. So, the wonder of how he would act in leading felt like a fairytale.

But here you are in your room staring down at the swimsuit you picked out the week before summer started.

Wanting a beach day even before Zane suggested, you thought that maybe you could push the lead that you wanted out of Zane with a cute swimsuit. But now, 

You were having second thoughts.

Staring at the vertical striped pastel pink frilly suit, you blush, it wasn’t crazy revealing, but it showed more skin than you would normally show. 

Especially to Zane,

You had hoped in the moment to stun him with your looks to get a reaction. Seeing him blush with love in his icy blue eyes was your goal. 

You hum reluctant as you try and convince yourself that this plan was still clever.

Maybe it won’t be so bad if I put it on.

You turn in all sorts of directions as you stare at yourself in the mirror finding different flaws left and right. Grabbing your belly and pinching your thighs,

Did this make me look childish? Are my thighs too big? Oh no, oh geez…

The frills turn with every movement you made as you look in your dresser for anything else,

‘knock’ ‘knock’

You jump hearing the door,

“(y/n), are you ready?” it was Zane!!! 

“uh-uhm yea, almost…” your voice squeaks as you desperately try and find a different swimsuit.

Hearing the door open your squeak, rushing to the door to close it as you saw it crack open. Startling the nindroid in the process he tilts his head on the other side of the door. “(y/n), are you sure you’re, okay?” You hold the door close, “ye-yes?” you stutter out. Zane was silent on the other side, seeming to try and calculate what was up with you without pushing any buttons that would make you uncomfortable. 

“Would you like me to retrieve Nya?” Zane tries to help making you smile on the other end. “mm, n-no it’s oki, I’m fine Zane. I’ll be down inna minute oki?” Zane hums standing close to the door reluctant to leave. 

“Alright (y/n), I will be downstairs, if you need any assistance, just call.” Your smile only grows as you nod knowing he couldn’t see you spoke again,

“I will Zane.”

Zane stands for a moment before walking away hearing footsteps you exhale the deep breath you were holding in.

Walking up to your dresser you curse, your one piece had a hole in it, it was old which was another reason why you went to buy a new swimsuit.

Looking to your closet you find a jacket, it was close to ninety-five degrees outside, but you needed a cover up.

You grab your jacket slipping it on closing it around your frame, seeing as it drops to your mid-thigh you felt much better when you looked in the mirror. 

But then why were you frowning?

This won’t have Zane swooning over you, but what you were wearing before would probably make it worst.

Right? you nervously fiddle with your jackets string feeling tears prick your eyes, your bottom lip quivers out as you bite you sleeve trying to ease any sadness that was washing over you.

“c’mon, (y/n) the beach isn’t gonna wait forever!” Kai shouts from the living room impatiently.

Shaking your head, you wipe your tears and open the door grabbing your beach bag,

“s-sorry, I was just using the bathroom” you skip down the stairs seeing everyone waiting for you. Zane looks to you and tilts his head, “are you alri-“

“don’t worry about it (y/n), now let’s goo!” Jay shouts as he dismisses your face and the rest follow him out the door to the jeep.

You smile to Zane, “c’mon, they might leave us if we keep them waiting~” you joke trying not to let Zane see your insecurities.

Zane looked upset as he was trying to figure out what was wrong, wanting to help you.

“mm, alright, we should head out then” he didn’t smile as he walks out,

The nervousness in your tummy returns as you follow him.

When you all got to the beach the team wasted no time getting into the water, leaving you and Zane to set up everything. You chuckle watching your friends play in the water and chasing each other.

Kai and Jay in swimming trunks, Cole in tight swim shorts that went down to his lower thigh.

Nya had on a tight fitted wet suit that was black and blue, you couldn’t help but admire her form, she was muscular and skinny. She had curves in the right places, her swimwear was nothing like yours, watching as Jay gawks over her you feel a bit jealous. Pouting you sit curling up with you jacket still over you.

“You will heat up under there, are you not going to join them?” Zane stands over you with a light blue polo shirt and khaki shorts. 

“I’m fine, I think I’ll just build sandcastles.” You spoke not too excited at your own choice of activity.

Zane hums and sits next to you criss cross as he scoops sand into his hand, “then I shall build with you.” Zane smiles down at you, looking up with your hood over your head you smile. 

After a couple of moments, you both built a perfectly good sandcastle, you start digging out a molt for water around the castle.

“I’m sorry for dragging you with me, I know you're probably wanting to have fun with your friends.” You couldn’t bring yourself to look at Zane as he was on his knees forming a roof, 

“I am happy whenever I am with you. I have no desire to spend my time any other way that is not with you.” Zane looks to you and leans down to lower your hood, seeing your face was sweaty he smiles down at you.

“Oh, my dove, you do not have to apologize for spending time with me. I will always want to be near you.” Your face was warm and not because of the heat, you were blushing at his nickname and his words. His perfect handsome face and kind eyes, the way his thumb glides from side to side on your chin, so close to your bottom lip.

You hum as you lean into his cold hand, grabbing his wrist so that you could feel more of him.

“I’m really hot..” you mutter out, tired from hiding as you come clean about your feelings.

“I am aware” Zane chuckles as you grab at your zipper hesitating to pull it down,

“I bought a new swimsuit.” You were slow at your reveal, feeling embarrassed to share your feelings to your boyfriend.

But Zane sits patiently, “May I see?” Zane grabs your hand that was on your zipper not making any movements, but he holds your hand as if supporting you.

“I don’t look like Nya though.” You whine feeling your tears again, Zane pats your head affectionately, “of course you don’t, you look like you.” He runs his hands through your hair.

“But I look…bad” you squeak trying to swallow down the lump in your throat, Zane smiles and lowers himself so that you can see him.

“I do not date you because of your looks, I date you because of your kind heart and your acceptance of me. There are many reasons as to why I love you, (y/n), I love you, for you.” Zane finishes as he feels you let go, your zipper falling as both your hands move together to reveal your body. You blush looking away, seeing Zane stare down at your body. 

He slips your jacket off to see more of you, your cute belly, and chubby thighs. The frilly light pink swimsuit hugs your body showing your attributes that Zane normally doesn’t see.

Your pretty collarbone leading down to your cleavage, the tiny skirt on the side of your swim bottoms lifts for Zane to see your curves.

You finally look at him his hands felt warm almost concerningly warm.

“Zane?” you call for him seeing that he had spaced out; you then yelp as sparks fly from Zane’s head. “Ahh! Z-Zane what happened?!” you move to your knees and cup his face. You start to shake him to wake him up from his assuming overwhelmed system. Soon Zane comes to his senses and shakes his head,

“I apologize. You just look so stunning.” Zane lets out breathlessly as he leans over you to capture your body into his holding you close, his hands on your bare back as he hugs you. 

“You’re so beautiful, such a pretty girl” his hands slide up and down your back, causing you to squeak your face turning red as a shiver runs down your back where Zane’s cold fingers grazed so gently. This was more of a reaction; this was so much more than what you expected.

“Z-Zane?” you look over to him his face felt hot, as his cold hands continues to roam your body. An audible gasp leaves you lips as Zane continues; you soon hum finding relaxation as you close your eyes feeling his hands cool down your body from your warm jacket.

You grab onto Zane’s polo pushing your face deeper into the side of his neck, you felt as though you were on cloud nine, you never wanted to come down. 

And neither did Zane as he showed no sign of letting you go. 

After a few moments Zane finally felt calm again, he lifts and let’s go, forcing you to wake up again. You look up to Zane and smile, moving your hands to cup his face, 

“Zane, I love you.” Your heart skips as Zane places his much bigger hand over one of yours and closes his eyes, “I love you too, (y/n).” 

You smile as you huff and start to stand, now forcing Zane to snap out from his daydreaming. “c’mon Zane let’s go for a walk together!” you hold his hand as he comes up, grabbing a bucket you both walk away from the others to be by yourselves for a little longer.

You scan the ground under you, your eyes go wide as you race over to find a chipped sand dollar. “Look Zane!” you hold it up for Zane as he peers down at it smiling, he holds out the bucket for you to place the shell in.

You both continue down watching as boulders get bigger, you both walk further away from the others. Zane stops and finds a shell too, placing it in the bucket after showing you the colors,

“aaahhh, I love the beach!” you happily start running feeling a burst of energy you start kicking the waves that washed up onto the shore.

Zane watches you happily run as he places the bucket down to join you, looking back you see him grab your hand as you both run away from the waves and return just to run back when the waves came again. 

You lower your hand down into the water then brought it back up to flick water at Zane playfully. He chuckles then picks you up by your waist hearing your screams and laughter made Zane laugh as well. As when Zane got to deeper waters, he drops you into it, the water rises just below his shorts. When you come back up you pounce on Zane laughing as he laughs along with you. 

He picks you up bridal style and spins you as he makes his way back to the shore with you in his arms still laughing. 

He sits you down and sits next to you, watching the waves once again, “are you hungry?” Zane looks down at you nodding as you place your head on his shoulder. “I made sandwiches, I’m sure the others are eating now. Would you like to go back?” Zane stands and offers you a hand, placing your hand in his he helps you up and you both make you way back bucket in hand.

When you both made it back the other was already eating correctly guessed by Zane, 

“Oh hey, there you guys are” Kai chews on his sandwich his normally spiked hair was down most likely from the water.

Jay had a tan already as Nya was putting sunblock on him a sandwich in her mouth as she rubbed the cream into Jay’s arm.

“I thought you guys left” Jay spoke with his mouth full, Cole laying on the towel his hands behind his back with Kai’s glasses on.

“We did sorta, we just wanted to see around the beach” you bend down to open the basket pulling out a sandwich. 

You take a bite and hum, “thank you” you lay your head on Zane’s shoulder Zane smiles enjoying the fact that you liked the sandwich he made. 

“Hey, (y/n) cute swimsuit” Nya smiles as she finishes her sandwich, your mouth was full looking to Nya blushing, “tahank yhou” you spoke wanting to show your appreciation to Nya’s compliment.

She chuckles and grabs a ball from the beach bag that Zane brought, “wanna play volleyball?” Nya stands looking to you, swallowing you nodded, 

“Heck yea, I’m down!” you raise your fists in excitement standing up to create a line with Nya for your game. 

"Alright, here it comes!~"

Nya serves the ball to you, and you pass it back, the boys start to cheer for you guys as it starts getting a bit heated. With Nya diving down to hit the ball, and you jumping back to make sure the ball didn’t land outside your area.

“Go Nya!” Kai and Jay shout,

Zane smiles cheering as well, “You got this (y/n)!” hearing Coles voice it seemed he decided to wake up and be on your side.

You huff as you dove to push the ball up to Nya, she was quick to serve it back hitting it with full force. It was too fast as it drops to your side bouncing out of bounds, the guy’s cheer for Nya and you saying good game as Kai goes to retrieve the ball for the boys to have their volleyball game.

Nya comes to offer you a hand, “oh my gosh, that was so cool (y/n)!” Nya gushes as she hugs you, “you were really good too Nya!” you hug back impressed with her skill just as much as she was with yours.

You walk over to Zane as Nya goes over to Jay and Kai, “you did great, there were moments where I was sure you would have won.” You chuckle, “Nya is really good, she’s incredible!” you look to her laughing as she was scolding Kai for picking a fight with Jay for something you weren’t sure of.

“You are amazing as well (y/n), do not forget that your talents deserve praise too.” Zane places a hand on your shoulder. You smile to him nodding, “I won’t, especially if you’re there to remind me~” you raise on your toes to wrap your arms around Zane, kissing his nose with yours.

“Hey, love birds, you gonna join us” Kai chuckles calling you guys, you both look to Kai and smile, “let’s go beat his butt, Zane!” you grin playfully determined to win this time, Zane smiles as he lets you lead him to your side.

He watches you play, hitting the ball when it came to him, he mostly just wanted to watch you, seeing your body twist and turn made his gears work even harder to calm his blushing face. 

“Ahaha, we won!!” You run to Zane as Cole pats his back, chuckling at your guy’s victory. Kai groans as Jay and Nya congratulates you guys. 

…

The sun was starting to come down as Zane stands by the grill with meat and vegetables skewered over a flame. You helped by making a place for everyone to eat, setting up plates and placing watermelon down, the rest were getting some more time in the water before having dinner and going home.

Zane looks over to you and nods signaling that the food was ready, 

“Hey! Dinners ready!!” you call as your friends race over for dinner. You all sit together in a circle eating and talking finishing quickly as you all were hungry, reaching into your bag you pull out sparklers. 

“Hey, you guys wanna light these?” you shake the box teasing your friends as they happily went up to you for a few sparklers. 

Kai using his flames lights everyone’s sparklers, watching Jay run with his and Nya making large shapes. Cole had a bunch in his hands while Kai lazily twirls his around his fingers,

You lazily make shapes watching as the sparkler makes its way down the stick soon dispersing. 

Zane was packing everything back up as you walk over to him wrapping your arms around his waist, Zane turns his head smiling at you. “Are you ready to leave, pretty girl” your tummy flutters as butterflies fly around giddily at Zane’s new nickname for you. 

You nod not trusting your voice now as you let go to call for the others, hearing groans and huffs made you laugh feeling as though you were caroling your kids. 

On the drive back you rode in front with Zane, you fiddled with your jacket string as you stared out the window seeing stars. Your other hand was being held by Zane’s as his other rested on the steering wheel.

“Zane” you spoke so quietly hearing your friends’ snores, but Zane heard you, even over the soft music playing. “Yes, (y/n)” his voice like silk as he called back to you, your heart felt so full to hear Zane say your name as you smile your cheeks glowing pink.

“I love you.” Your voice still quiet as you glide your thumb over Zane’s hand, Zane smiles as his eyes stayed focus on the road. But his heart and mind raced with you and only you,

“I love you too, (y/n).” His own hand moves to firmly grasp your hand moving his thumb to touch every space of your hand. Wishing to feel more of your body next to his, maybe you two can cuddle together in his bed when you both get home. Zane side glances you for a second seeing you were nodding off, his constant glide of his thumb seemed to be lulling you to sleep. Yes, that sounded like a good idea, cuddling with his girlfriend, when you all get home,

Zane wakes the others leaving you last as he carries you inside in a bridal style. His friends volunteer themselves to bringing the things inside and cleaning up much to Zane’s appreciation.

He carries you up to his room, laying you down on his bed he lays behind you pulling your body close to his as he spoons you. 

Just like how you would with him when you first showed him to cuddle, He smiles fondly at the memory as he feels your chest rise slowly under his arm. Closing his eyes Zane falls asleep along with you. Your slow breathing providing as a natural melatonin.

“I love you, (y/n)” Zane mutters out before going into a sleep mode.

I feel like it definitely depends on the situation, yk?

By that I mean whether or not batsis knows about Selina being Catwoman

If she doesn't know about it, she'll definitely fangirl about it to her

Since nobody else in the manor wants to talk about it, she's your last resort

It doesn't make her uncomfortable tho, she actually finds it kinda amusing

Can you imagine your boyfriends daughter fangiling about how hot, badass, cool, and iconic you are without even knowing they're fangirling over you?

She'd listen closely to every word you say, pride swelling up in her chest

"She's so cool! I'm honestly kinda jealous of Batman." She smirked and looked over her shoulder at you before responding.

On the other hand, if you already know who she is, it's gonna be a bit of a mess

You'd definitely figure it out after fangirling about her for almost 6 months

You'd feel a bit embarrassed for a second before quickly recovering and going back to normal (for the most part)

To say the least, you'd constantly try to get her number or at the very least flirt with her

You know those tiktoks talking abt poetic rizz? Just imagine that if they were brought to life and now it's you

You'd follow her around the halls of the manor and batcave while reading out one of the latest poems you either read or made just for her

She ends up having to stiffle a laughe whenever your reading it to her and Bruce comes in with a huge frown on his face

He'd tell you to stop only for you to continue shortly after he leaves the room

"Stop it! She's almost 20 years older than you, leave her alone"

"Good" He said sternly before walking out the room, leaving you and Selina alone. You turned around to look at her with a cocktail smirk, "I think he's jealous I'm trying to steal his girl and it's actually working ;)"

He doesn't like the fact that her daughter is getting more attention from his gf than him😭😭

But he knows that she'd never leave him for a 13 year old girl with amazing rizz like you, right?

Every time she comes back from a mission without you, you'd ask he about it

One time, you ended up not going on patrol for a whole week because you were sickand she came to visit you with chicken soup in her hands

You thanked her profusely and kept on offering her some stuff like water or food but she always declined

they absolutely adore you!!

Ivy never fails to notice how all the plants around you seem to lean into you when you walk past them

Harley also can't help but notice the way her hyenas cuddle up to your legs whenever you come over to her apartment

She'd smile softly from the kitchen as she watched you play around with Bud and Lou

Oh and Selinas cats also like u

You're actually kinda fond of cats but you've never met any until one day when you can over to Selinas appartment

You'd only ever seen cats on TV or on the internet but never in real life

You were having fun playing around with her 10 cats until you began aggressively sneezing lmao

You ended up spread out on the floor, arms outstretched as the cats began surrounding you

You were still sneezing, just not as bad anymore

That was until one of the cats walked up to your face and began licking your face

You could feel a strong sneeze coming up but you didn't want to scare him away so you ended up having to hold your breath so you wouldnt sneeze

You held it in for such a long time that even Selina wondered how you were still alive

But you couldn't hold it in for too long so you ended up sneezing anyways lmao
