when i sat down in my theatre seat to see atsv im telling you i was being the most autistic fuck you've ever witnessed. you could practically see the sparkles in my eye, dude.

the spot. my godddd he's so silly. the marketing ploy to make him seem like the side villain from the trailers was so fucking smart. I really thought that Miguel was going to be the main villain considering him fighting miles in pracgjcalky every trailer ever and being in the post-credits scene of itsv. and miles dealing with having to be everywhere at once was very realistic and gave me the classic "oh my god this poor boy this is painful to watch". oh and gwen's beginning scene of the drums just gave me the feeling that the movie was going to be fantastic. like, betrayal, amazing visuals, more gwen?? already a wonderful start. also the fact that the spot's whole reason to turn into a major villain is that nobody, not even the person who caused his disfigurement, would take him seriously- like- HUH???? perfect. wonderful. bro just wanted miles to pay attention to him for a little while.

Pavitr and Hobie were also really great additions to the spider team. Despite the fact that Hobie's accent was so thick and deep that I couldn't understand what he was saying a good third of the time, he still managed to work his way into my top 5 characters of the movie. THAT is good character building. At first I thought he was going to be the stereotypical love rival, considering his first mention was miles getting jealous of him and gwen being friends. I was worried that was how the story was actually going to go when he upstaged miles by breaking done the collider force field, but hes actually a really chill and cool guy. pretty sure he even roots for gwen and miles, so that's pretty funny. Pavitr was also super funny with a great character design. " Chai means tea, you're just saying tea tea! " was probably one of my favorite lines / jokes from the whole movie. His world was also very pretty and SUPER detailed. Props to every artist for Mumbatten.

Miguel and Peter B.'s dynamic was really fun to watch as well. This cryptic emo ass mastermind vampire who has watched people die and destroyed a universe next to this middle aged man in a pink fuzzy bathrobe who's oogling over his daughter. also, the line where Miguel said " I've had the right amount of you today " to peter b instead of " I've had enough of you " like the normal saying goes was kinda queer. just saying. but yeah, great villain, and I do want to see him in the final battle against spot, but I eventually don't want him to be the one to beat spot, y'know? If it was to be anyone, it's obviously going to be miles. Whether it's just miles or miles and gwen or miles and the gang gwen assembled at the end of atsv (WHICH HAD SPIDERNOIR YESSS SPIDERNOIR FANS LETS GOOOOOOO I HAD THE STUPIDEST SMILE ON MY FACE WHEN I SAW HIM IM TELLKNG YOU), in the end it's still gotta be miles.

the collider scene with the spot was really cool. spot may be silly, but he's not dumb enough to be " saved " by his archnemesis who only cared about him when he was about to become a transdimensional eldritch horror. boss move. his final form was really pleasing to look at because you can just see the detail that went into it. Looking at some screenshots, I noticed there were a lot of eyes and I'm pretty sure I saw a version of spiderman (original world 1610 peter, possibly?) staring at miles / the audience. despite him not showing up for another hour, hour and a half, I wasn't mad. If a movie can avoid showing the main villain for that long and still have them integrated properly, just, wow. blown away. oh and this part made me even more interested because his beginning ost, spot 1, I think? his random beats and tunes sounded more silly and disorganized and clumsy, like him trying to take the atm. near the end, he got spot 2, which was more shrill and frightening. I'm not musically trained, and I could still tell that it was scarier, and to me, they sounded very similar. To not have too far of a difference between the two and stroke two entirely different chords is just. ugh. wow.

don't even get me started on prowler miles... RAHHH THE CHARACTER AND WORLD DESIGN FOR UNIVERSE 42!!!! it was so beautiful and scary and breathtaking because there is. no. spiderman. when miles's mom didn't know what he was talking about and gwen wasn't really outside, it hit me like a brick in the head. and alternate aaron??? hello??? he made me physically uncomfortable because of how terrifying his face was. i couldnt even tell if he was wearing makeup or he was just that dramatjcally shaded. the turn miles does to see that it was his dad painted on the wall instead of aaron.... GRAHHHHHH

as an aspiring artist, I can say nothing but wow. that movie, the fact that it was 2 HOURS AND 20 MINUTES???? HELLO??? DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH WORK THAT MUSTVE TOOK??? unbelievable. and you know that sony felt bad for making us wait on a cliffhanger, so they probably were around 3/4 done with atsv and started working on beyond, so we didn't have to wait as long as we would've if they finished atsv and then started beyond. I'm so glad that those 5 years in the Sony team paid off, because that. was. amazing. my depression is vaporized. im going feral, going wild, going insane. i will not think of anything else until beyond is out. can't wait to see my bbg spot have his villain moment in March 2024!!! <333

oohh and the way that red gradient turns gray when the angels are like, disapproving of his ideas

This ep was a roller coaster oh my god. Non stop plot not that the tournament is done, and we saw like EVERY CHARACTER my feeble heart could not keep up. The ONLY thing that bothered me was part of the fight sequence at the end, like it was half drawn beautifully half animated so stiff and blocky ??? Threw me for a loop. But next week is only gonna get more intense??? I’m gonna guess we’ll get through the Elder Centipede fight??? But then what does that mean for the last episode??? I am full of SO MANY QUESTIONS??? I really don’t want the season to end yet, 12 eps is not enough. There’s only 2 more. Just. I’m not ready to let go of my bbs it feels like I only JUST got them… Well! So my original plan for tonight was to rewatch Knives Out, but since the movie theather near my house hates me its only showing two movies, a sequel to a comedy ive never seen and the stars wars. And since my friend refused to watch the comedy i actually watched ros and wow is it something.

Seriously ive seen so many posts complaining about this movie, from so many people, i thought i knew what to expect but i was not ready.

I was expecting to be annoyed and bored, wich i was at times, but i was not expecting it to be this funny

So since i’m trying to post more in my little space in the sinking ship that is tumblr i wanted to share the things that made me actually laugh out loud in rise of skywalker:

- not only they bring palpatine back in the opening crawl but the way it happens is just... amazing. Palpatine apparently just sends everyone a voice mail being like “i lived bitch” and promising revenge... like thats it, no more explanation needed.

- Snoke clones, they actually had snoke clones. we were so close to having the snoke clone army in the throne-like seat... we could’ve had it all.

- c3po going along in the adventure, i mean after the snoke clones cameo i was ready for the true otp c3prey to finally became canon.

- the little alien girl that just needs to know rey’s last name.was she filling a form or something?

- that part where the movie expects me to care in any way about c3p0 losing his memory, seriously i don’t care... please stop with the dramatic speech i don’t.... no really it could actually kill him and i stil.... oh my god why is the music acting like this is something.

- Did the makers of c3p0 made it so he would use his evil eyes and voice when translating sith, or did the little rat man decide it would look cool?

- the scene 3 hours later(why is this movie so long) where r2d2 brings the golden-waste-of-time’s memory back making everything in that previous scene even more pointless (why was c3p0 in this but rose had to stary behind again?)

- Poe is straight. Did you guys know that Poe is straight? Here is  a female human he had sexual intercourse with. Because he likes woman. BECAUSE HE IS STRAIGHT!!!!!.... Anyway here is Poe hugging Finn like his life depends on it.

- “They sold you to keep you safe.”

-”THEY SOLD YOU TO KEEP YOU SAFE!!”(I don’t know if that is the actual line, i watched it dubbed but seriously WTF)

- “She is not on Jakku so don’t even bother looking there. No really bro, i know we were there with her, and then we left without her... but she’s not there. Would i lie to you? Jakku is the last place i would hide my daughter on, so don’t ever look for her there.”(I’m 100% certain this is the actual line)

- PALPATINE FUCKS. HE HAS FUCKED BEFORE AND SHALL FUCK AGAIN.(who was the mother by the way?, who was the unsung hero that climbed this everest) 

- Palpatine doesn’t know about the jedi love connection. His puppet knew, his puppet who he controled even claimed to have created the connection, but Palpatine didnt know. Is this because he is an old, old man? Is his mind just not what it used to be? did he just kinda forgot about the iron fleet?

- Rey blowing up Chewie...sorry

- Hux being the spy. the pettiness...mood.

- Hux just dying like a background character, so we can focus on the real secondary villain... general old guy.(Is he from the old movies?was jj expectin me to recognize that guy?i can’t even remember his name and i’m pretty sure they say it a lot, but my brain just stopped listening after general) 

-The random former stormtroopers that just... show up and then we all pretend to have a connection with this lady for the last five hours of movie.(Why is it so long?)

 But really the idea of other stormtroopers being inspired by Finn to break out of the first order would have been a cool story to actually explore, instead of just “we all just magically good cause force, rip to all brainwashed stormtroopers but we are different.” 

- Leia just dies because.... she knew they had run out of deleted scenes with her i guess.

- Alien Lupita explaining Leia has to die cause... she needs all her power to... do stuff. important stuff.

- JJ’s friends that get more screentime than Rose.(not really funny but...)

- Glados Palpatine. Eveytime he appeared on screen i would start laughing, to the point my friend got mad at me. Am i the only one who can see this? Why is he Glados? Whatever the reason this made me laugh the most, i literally got out of the theather singing still alive.

- Kinda heartwarming that palpatine’s plan was to build a evil empire for his grandaughter. He really loved her T.T

- it took a while for me to realize, because it was so dark. but rey and palpatine were surrounded by evil bleaches filled with evil minions rooting for palpatine, and i thought that was really wholesome, to show they were all there cheering him on.

- every sith is inside palpatine... hehe

- “If you give in to your anger and kill me you’re evil. if i force you to kill me you are also evil.”

- Palpatine can possess people who kill him i guess?

- every jedi is inside Rey... hehe

- Also since he voldemorted himself to death, did palpatine possess himself?

- Leia’s body just disappears because.... reasons. I guess alien Lupita knows why but she’s not even gonna bother explaining this one, cause it’s so obvious.

- The gay scene... i’m gonna be honest, i teared up when the slug and jj’s friend hugged, this is the representation we need.(but really i almost missed the kiss, and i’m certain i never saw those women before, and im also sure they got thanosed the moment the camera left them)

-POE IS A STRAIGHT MAN WHO LOVES KISSING WOM... oh my god is that finn?

- The last scene, I actually liked that she ended up in Tatooine. Bringin everything full circle by showing Rey in the same planet baby Yoda and his cool mercenary dad once visited was a great way to end the trilogy.

- Rey, her two ghost parents, and a robot that i guess she stole from Poe. truly the happiest ending.

- Why is everyone so obsessed with last names? I bet that old woman was a tax collector.”Oh you’re a Skywalker? your relatives left the planet withou paying their light bill, it’s you debt now loser.” and luke just awkwardly fades away while rey stares at him.

Honestly there were parts of the movie i genuinely enjoyed: the han solo scene, pretty much every Ben solo scene, pretty much every trio scene(the whole thing with poe wanting to know what finn was going to say makes it seem like he is jealous of rey and i hate that it goes nowhere) and i actually love the part where rey puts her lightsaber behind her, and ben taking it from behind his. 

But overall the Snoke clone army would have been a better plot. I mean no one in this movie even told Rey she looks pretty with her head cut open.

Also fuck JJ for what he did to Rose, seriously if you didn’t watch the last jedi you wouldn’t even know her name.Fuck him and this cowardly movie for doing this to Kelly Marie Tran.

Taro - half-elf bard - apparently living embodiment of elves’ perfection - actually a little shit - talk shit abt Hòdur and he will kick u in the teeth - has nicknames for everyone - loves 2 embarass his big bro (bc Hòdur is the big bro) - 5 centimeters (more or less 2 inches for u englishpersons) taller than Hòdur, always reminds that to him - (this annoys Hòdur to no end) - (and that’s why Taro does it) - “so Kevin how do you and Lem do that” “FOR THE LOVE OF THE GODS TARO SHUT THE FUCK UP” (that was Hòdur) - sexuality what is that - had a thing with the blacksmith’s son - the bastard has a really smooth voice  - would wear the t-shirt that has “Sin” written on it (you know the one) - i love him holy shit

Robin - tiefling maga (the class name is actually magus but Robin is a she so) with the skirnir archetype (the base class equivalent of the prestige class of the Eldricht Knight, but with the archetype that makes her a shield mage basically) - Angst™  - wants to do the right thing and she will do it - her favourite Overwatch character would be Pharah or Reinhardt - she has a shield and she’s not afraid to use it - always stressed af does she even sleep - always hears the voices of her devilish inheritance - praying conforts her a little tho - a very religious person - well she was raised by a priestess of the god of love and compassion, so - yea she was abandoned as a child bc her parents were nobles and you can’t have a tiefling daughter that would be A Bad Thing - so a priestess adopted her and teched her how to be a rlly good person and to protect the innocent - “I BELIEVE IN U o wait did u just killed an innocent now im gonna Fuck You Up™”  - “a sex drive what is that where is sex driving does it have a license”

Ume

- sea elf shaman (hybrid class between the witch and the oracle) - like,, indecision but as a person - has an hawk as a familiar wihich is pretty strange bc she is really tied with the spirits of the sea - looks like a cinnamom roll is actually a cinnamom roll - “do you prefer red or blue” “I LOVE BOTH OF THEM U CAN’T MAKE ME CHOOSE” - the kind of fangirl who has way too many ships - likes swimming - except for that one time when she almost drowned she didn’t like swimming in that moment - Moana vibes - yeah u know moana was so good and im so weak that’s why she lives in an island and talks to the sea sometimes - there was that one time when she flirted back at Ikaro and he almost died for the surprise - she was, like, the Best Shaman Apprentice on the island but she wasn’t really sure wheter become shaman or not bc if she accepted her role she wouldn’t be able to see the world - but at the same time she loves her island and her people so - yeah she kinda gets homesick a lot - but she got to see the Arcanum and the big cities and the Moon Mountains and the Ramil Desert so there’s that - her hawk is cute, she screm - witch shaped like a friend

Ikaro

- the Human Token™, a gunslinger - dat boi - son of a gun - jesse mccree but as a pirate - birate - lovechild of Han Solo and Jesse McCree  - “im not a pirate im a buccaneer” - the fuckboiest fuckoi that ever fuckboied - tried to flirt with Ume and got a “stop embarassing yourself!” from Taro - “the loser had it coming” –cit. @eldrich-archivist - has seen some shit - stole some of that - and murdered some other - he doesn’t regret killing people, but that doesn’t mean he likes doing so - “i’m not good, i’m not bad, but i sure as hell ain’t ugly” - travelled on a pirate ship for many years - he feels like he is searching for something, in the vast seas of Gaea, but even he doesn’t know what, or who - has a Dark Past™, that’s why he’s on the run - not the captain on the ship he’s on - just one of the many men on board - (his captain is a very badass aasimar lady maybe i’ll give a backstory to her later) - sinnamom roll - flirted with Kevin and Lem almost stabbed him - then flirted with Lem and Kevin almost killed him with a lightning - also likes flirting with death - kinky af, probably into bondage - lowkey a furry

- dwarf sorceress/bard but a dancer - she’s mute, so she casts spell while dancing - travelled with a travelling circus - ran away from her home in the Underworld bc she’s transgender and feared that her father wouldn’t understand - her powers come from the storm (stormborn bloodline) - Taro’s nickname for her is “Lady Thunderdwarf” - Taro is also a very good friend of her, he sings for her and she dances - sometimes when she dances she summons the rain unconsciusly - her name means “happy” or “cheerful” in Italian - cinnamom roll, too good for this world, too pure - hates little and close spaces - has a birthmark that is suspiciously similar to the holy symbol of the god of the wind but?? maybe it’s a coincidence??? maybe not??? who knows - at first she can only talk with Kevin bc he’s the only one in their “party” that knows sign language but then they teach it to everyone - she and Kevin are really great friends bc they both know how it feels to be an outcast - didn’t believe in love at first sight until she met Zero - “ALLEGRA STOP THROWING MAGIC AT MY DOG HE’S BITING THIN AIR YOU’LL MAKE HIM FEEL SAD” - never came out to her dwarven family, and she regrets that a little - but she’s still scared, so she doesn’t write to them - she has two brother (one older and the other younger; the former has died) and a younger sister; her mother died when she was little so she doesn’t remember much - she doesn’t know, but her father cares deeply about her, even if he still thinks of her as a “him” - family is very important to dwarves, and she feels that Ume and Kevin and the other are like a family to her now - before she met Taro, when she was still travelling with the circus, she danced on the music of Kakeru, a young bard from the Eastern continent that is the Kukize that is very good at playing the shamisen and teached her how to read his native language and told her the myths and the legends of his land. she teached him the sign language and how to read dwarven runes - she can forge things bc that’s a thing that every dwarf learns, but she is no master of that art - i love her so much asklabaksdsksfgagsds

Tales of Games are "sunshine filled" and don’t have dark or MEMORABLE??? Characters??? BITCH WHERE?????????????

I just watched an IGN (whatever that is) review of Takes of Berseria and while im like super happy to hear that everyone likes it..........................DONT TRY TO PUT OTHER GAMES DOWN WHILE YOU TALK ABOUT HOW GOOD THIS ONE IS?????/

anyways it said all the other tales of games were too “sunshine filled” (they are kinda sunshine filled but I wouldnt go so far as to say they were all happiness and rainbows) and you could never remember the characters names because they arent interesting or memorable...YEAH IF YOU HAVE THE BRAIN THE SIZE OF A PEA AND THE TASTE TO MATCH

Luke accidentally kills an entire city and it traumatized forever??? he starts out as the shittiest person and then becomes a hero????? He has to question his whole identity, Asch has to too, they go through so much crisis? (that music box version of the song “Mirrors” will forever make me cry) Guy’s entire family is killed in front of him including all his household maids who were trying to protect him and he get’s buried under their bodies and thats how he survives because the soldiers thought he was just another dead person, how long do you think a small child would have been stuck under there, and he has such severe ptsd?? OMG GUY IM SORRY TT~TT

Also Yuri Lowell was a pretty dark character, not an anit-hero but not really "sunshine filled" I mean he drowned a guy in sand, murdered a guy and threw his body into a river so it's couldn't be found. And I guess he Kind Of regrets what he did but only because his friends were like “murder is bad” but he doesn’t actually like agree with them?? He still thinks that he has to work outside the law to help people? 

Anyone who thinks that the Tales of Symphonia characters were “unmemorable” can honestly........have their own opinion because everyone is allowed to have their own opinion BUT THEY”RE WRONG AND I HATE THEM. who could forget Kratos my shitty dad character??? Or ZELOS??? (I know why I could never forget Zelos and thats bc I accidentally got him killed my frist time through because im an awful fuck up and made the WISE decision not to use a walk through FFFF) fucking REGAL? and his whole sad arc with Presea and her sister omgg I wanna cry thinking about it. I could go on forever

I will admit that I forgot most of the names for the Tales of Legendia characters but in my defense I remember all their nicknames (CC, Bubbles, Red, Teach, etc) and they used them a lot so like its not my fault they never used their real names xDDD (I do remember some names Chloe, Senel, Shirley, Moses, Jay, Grune, oooo more than I thought I would remember) DO NOT get me started on teach’s story with his wife and his daughter and the sad flowers that turn to stone okay im already crying T~T

though it is super easy to please me....really the only Tales of Game I didn't absolutely LOVE (still enjoyed it a TON) was Zesteria and that's just because so much little stuff was going on that I almost completely lost sight of the big stuff until it hit me in the face and I just couldn't remember why I should care about it. Like when a certain wind spirit died...I feel like we didn't get enough character interaction with him before his death for me to actually care a lot... I mean I was sad but not a ton....he didn’t even get an animated scene? i just got nothing from this scene? The best part is the very last part after the ending credits when Mikleo falls and gets caught by someone who is probably just the new shepard BUT IT MIGHT BE SOREY and no lie im pretty sure sorey’s real love interest is Mikleo bc if that doesnt seem gay then idk what is lmao

There’s also Xillia, Xillia 2, Graces, etc those are all super good too but not my top choices (speaking of choices or the lack thereof FUCK Xillia 2′s ending man NOT FAIR NOT FAIR AT ALL BRO why you gotta hurt me like this, make me hurt myself like this??? there is no choice it’s just “death and horrible” vs “horrible and death”)

I agree that this game (tales of berseria) looks SO great but, since I haven't played it yet, we'll see if it's really "the best" tales of game to date...It'll be hard to beat my love for Tales of The Abyss, Symphonia, Vesperia, Legendia, etc.....

thought it;s already doing a great job because I LOVE the main crew they look awesome!!! The MC is an awesome lady?? and I’m told the tale is really “dark” I mean obviously though have you seen the MC’s clothes? Such Edgy (tm)  and that I should prepare for heartbreak..BRING IT ON I LOVE CRYING AND BEING SAD
