The way that Jared Padalecki must have fucking blacked out during The Trap. Motherfucker, I KNOW you said those lines about Dean dying while on a hunt. About how awful that would be. I KNOW YOU DID. And romance with Eileen? Arranged by god but you still wanted to pull the “I know that’s real” (destiel reference) ((also, the worst delivered line in the history of supernatural. I would have walked away too, Eileen knows Sam wouldn’t be that bad at ANYTHING that’s god’s interference still.)) literally anything from The Trap that Sam goes through should have Jared ready to break down doors over the travesty that is the finale.

The Loudest Silence
Sam and Dean Winchester x little sister!reader
Requested by Anonymous
Synopsis: You become mute after seeing Sam die in season 2, and it’s something he and Dean have to figure out together when he comes back.
Dean should’ve left you behind. He should’ve gotten there sooner. He should’ve saved Sam. He shouldn’t have let you see your big brother die.
You were sitting by Sam’s bedside, and Dean didn’t have the heart to tear you away. It didn’t feel right, letting you sit there beside your dead brother, but it felt even more wrong to tell you you couldn’t.
You hadn’t spoken, not since it happened, and Dean didn’t have the energy to try to get you to speak. He didn’t feel much like talking now, either, although it seemed different than you. He was grieving; you looked haunted.
“Hey kid.” Dean turned his head to look at you as Bobby walked up to speak with you. Bobby had decided to leave, and Dean refused to go with him, but Dean wanted you to go. You didn’t belong here, you shouldn’t have had to see Sam die, and you shouldn’t be sitting by his body now. You would be better off with Bobby, but Dean needed time to himself.
“Kid, Dean’s gonna stay here for a little while, but I want you to come home with me, alright?”
Bobby got no response. You didn’t even take your eyes off of Sam to look at him.
“Hey.” You flinched as Bobby placed a hand on your shoulder, and finally your eyes met his. “You’re gonna come home with me, ok?” It wasn’t exactly a question; neither Bobby nor Dean was about to let you stay here, but Bobby didn’t exactly want to drag you either, so he was willing to take it slow.
You didn’t speak, but you nodded and stood, one hand coming up to latch onto Bobby’s jacket. He noticed, but didn’t comment.
Dean watched as your eyes lingered on Sam’s body as you followed Bobby outside. Just before the door closed behind you, your gaze shifted to Dean.
He would never be able to forget that haunted look in your eyes.
…
It had been two weeks. Sam had come back not long after his death, but it had been two weeks since you’d spoken.
Once Sam had figured out that he had actually died, he understood your response a bit better, but it was no less troublesome. If Sam was worried about your condition, Dean was beside himself.
As if your sudden silence wasn’t scary enough, you had also glued yourself to Sam. Everywhere he went, you were there, the corner of his jacket fisted in your hand as you shadowed him. Sam didn’t seem to mind at first, but as the days wore on, it became obvious that this may not be a temporary thing. Sam had begun trying to get Dean to help him force you into some healthy distance, but Dean had refused.
Sam didn’t understand, but Dean couldn’t bring himself to force you out of what made you feel safe. It was his fault that you felt this way, after all. He’d let Sam die, and it was his fault that you’d been there to see it. So no, he couldn’t hurt you even more.
“Hey kid,” Bobby said, and you looked up. “How’s about you come with me to the kitchen and we can fix some lunch?”
Bobby had been trying to coax you away from Sam for days, with no luck. Today didn’t seem to be any different as you shook your head, your body unconsciously leaning even closer to Sam as your fingers tightened around his hand.
“N/N,” Sam spoke very gently as he pried his hand carefully out of yours. “How about you go with Bobby, ok? I’ll be right here, won’t move a muscle, I promise.” As soon as his hand was out of yours, you’d moved your hand to his jacket, unwilling to let him put distance between you.
Dean watched the exchange silently, unwilling to participate but hoping that you would listen to the men.
You were quite a long moment, your gaze fixed on Sam as his eyes bore into yours, silently pleading for you to listen. Finally, your fingers went slack on Sam’s jacket, and you turned your attention to Bobby. You gave him a slight nod and held your hand out to him.
Bobby was most certainly not one for hand holding, but after this victory he’d make an exception for you. He closed his fingers around yours and led you into the next room.
“She’s getting better,” Dean said finally.
“It might go faster if you helped,” Sam grunted.
“I don’t want her to feel ganged up on.” Dean’s excuse was a lie, and they both knew it.
But neither man said a word.
…
Sam sat on the edge of his bed, breathing a sigh of relief when you finally fell asleep. He knew it could be a while before he got some time away from you, so he planned on using it wisely.
As soon as Dean stepped into the motel room, Sam practically cornered him.
“We have to talk,” Sam said.
“Alright…” Dean glanced at your sleeping form, then back at Sam. “Why can’t she hear it?”
“She doesn’t have to be a part of this. Dean, how could you do it?” Sam swallowed “how could you…how could sell your soul?”
“You know why.” Dean shook his head. “I wasn’t going to let you stay dead.”
“You can’t mess with death like that!”
“I already did, and we’re not going to change it by talking about it.”
“It’s not just me, you know,” Sam said. “She’s gonna have to watch you die.”
“You think I did this thinking it would hurt her?” Dean shook his head. “I did this for her! You’ve seen what she’s going through now, and that’s with you back! What do you think would’ve happened to her if you stayed dead!”
Both boys were so caught up in their argument that they didn’t see you slip out of bed.
“She could’ve gotten over it,” Sam continued. “But now we all have to go through this all over again, we-“
“I don’t care!” Dean ran a hand over his face, still not noticing as you stepped up behind Sam.
“Exactly!” Sam threw up his hands. “That’s the problem, Dean! You didn’t do this for her, you did it for you!”
“I-“
“No!” Sam interrupted. “No, just shut up!” Sam flinched when he felt your hand touch his arm, and turned to look down at you.
You were staring up at him, eyes wide.
“Not…not you,” Sam’s voice had gone surprisingly quiet, and his features softened into a melancholy expression. “Sweetheart, what I want from you is for you to talk again.”
Your mouth opened, like you were trying to speak, before slowly closing again. You launched yourself forwards, and Sam held you tightly in his arms as you began to cry against him.
“I know,” he whispered. “I know you’re hurting, kid. But I want you to come back to us. You haven’t been the same, and we miss you.”
His argument with Dean was far from over, but this was far more important.
Dean watched his siblings, and he struggled to reign in his emotions when he saw you, still struggling to try to speak. He knew you were trying, and he would never forgive himself for being the cause of it.
“Dean.”
Both brothers were alerted by the sound of your voice, though it was scratchy and near-silent. It was then that Dean noticed your hand, stretching out towards him.
“Hey baby,” he put on a smile for you. “I’m here.”
“Sam.”
Sam smiled when you reached up to play with his hair, the way you had when you were little.
“Hey, you ok?”
“Don’t fight.”
“Yeah, o-ok.” Both brothers knew that Sam’s words were just to appease you, but they were done fighting for the moment. “You feeling better?”
You gave a gesture that was half nod, half shrug, but it was enough.
“Yeah?” Sam smiled. “It-it’s good to hear your voice.”
You looked up at Sam, and his worry eased at seeing the smile on your face.
“I love you.”
Neither brother had to fake their smile at your words.
“Yeah, we love you too.”

*REPOST FROM MY OLD ACCOUNT*

You Sam and Dean had just finished a pretty rough ghoul hunt, once you guys had all showered the remnants of the night, dean suggested you guys head out for a few drinks to celebrate, once you got to the bar Dean and you slide into a booth, deans arm wrapping around your shoulders pulling you into his side “you get the first round Sammy” Dean said smirking at his brother, Sam rolled his eyes “fine but you’re next” he said walking to the bar
“So how you feeling after you’re first ghoul sweetheart” you looked up at your boyfriend “well I’ve gotta say I won’t be chasing one for a very long time, much prefer a simple salt and burn” Dean chuckled kissing the side of your head, “alright beers are severed” Sam said sitting down with the drinks “thanks Sammy” you said taking a drink out the bottle
You and the guys were having a great time talking about passed hunts before you’d met them “he just looked at me all upset and said ‘I lost my shoe’ all because he lost the damn rabbits foot” Dean laughed finishing his second beer, “alright my round boys just another beer?”you questioned getting up “yeah thanks Y/N” Sam said “yeah me too thank you sweetheart” you hooded moving to the slightly crowded bar you quickly got the bar tenders attention “hi three beers please” the man nodded “that’ll be 12 bucks gorgeous” he said placing three beers in front of you, you nodded handing him a 20 dollar bill, the bar tender went to get your change leaving you standing for a few minutes
“what’s a beautiful girl like you doing at a place like this” a man grumbled out from one of the bar stools, he looked to be a drunk creep no younger than mid 50s “I’m here with my boyfriend and friend” you said back hoping he’d back off at the boyfriend comment “ah bet your boyfriend doesn’t treat you like I would” the man said moving closer to you “look buddy I’m not interested I’m in a relationship” he didn’t seem too happy with that “you better watch yourself you bitch I’m giving you a choice the only thing you should be saying is yes sir, because that’s the only damn thing you’ll be saying when I’m pounding you in front of your little boyfriend you slut!” he spat out, “is there a problem here miss?” The bartender asked returning with your change “no everything’s fine thanks” you said grabbing the change stuffing it in your pocket before taking the beers back to the winchesters
“Hey sweetheart everything good? You were gone a while” Dean said grabbing his beer and pulling you back to your place at his side “yeah fine just waiting for my change” you answered quietly, you could see the man from the bar staring at you his hand holding his glass tightly in his grasp as he wouldn’t break eye contact “I’m gonna head back to the motel after this one guys I’m pretty tired” you said feeling uncomfortable either the stares the man wa giving you, dean nodded “yeah I think we’ll all head out then, you good with that Sam?” Dean questioned, Sam nodded
Once you guys finished your drinks you made your way to the exit, from the corner of your eye you seen the man get up, following your trail to the exit, starting to feel scared you grabbed deans hand tight, Dean turned to look at you concerned “you okay Y/N? You hands really sweaty” you nodded to answer him too nervous to even speak, you thought the night air would make you feel better but knowing the man was following behind was just making your feel sick, before you could get into baby dean stopping you, both hands on your arms as he looked at you “sweetheart my job is lying for a living, I know somethings bothering you and I can’t fix it if you don’t tell me what it is” Dean asked alerting Sam “what’s going on?”
Sighing you looked behind the brothers to find the man staring at you from behind a car “there was a guy at the bar, he freaked me out a little bit I didn’t care too much until he sat staring at me for the last hour so I wanted to leave but he followed us out here” you said, your heart pounding in your chest, Dean got an angry look on his face as he turned searching the parking lot “where the hell is he!” Dean moved to look around finding him quickly, Dean stormed over “hey! The hell do you want jackass? You think you can harass my girlfriend I wouldn’t find out” Dean grabbed the man by his shirt “not my fault she’s a whore man, just wanted a little taste of her sweet p-”Dean didn’t let him finish his sentence before he was released punching him in the face “my nose!” The man yelped but dean wasn’t done yet, Sam was holding you in a hug blocking the fight from your eyes
Once dean was done teaching the man a lesson in how to respect women he walked back over to you and sam “alright he’s down, let’s get back to the motel” Dean said getting in the drivers seat. Once you guys made it back to the motel you followed the brothers back to the room, Sam went into the bathroom leaving you and Dean alone
sighing dean sat on the bed you two would be sharing, he started to wrap his bloody knuckles you let out a shaky breath before sitting beside him and taking his hand “I got it” you said taking out the rubbing alcohol and rubbing it on his wounds, Dean flinched slightly at the sting “why didn’t you tell me earlier?” He asked softly you looked up giving him a small smile “I just didn’t want to bother you, I just didn’t realise how big a creep the guy was till he followed us out” dean nodded “sweetheart if someone or something is ever bothering you I don’t give a rats ass how by or small, you tell me and I will take care of it” you nodded “yeah I will I’m sorry dean” Dean was shaking his head “you have nothing to be sorry for Y/N you did nothing wrong” you wrapped your arms around deans shoulders pulling him to a hug, we wrapped his own around your waist holding you close to him
You pulled away to give him a small kiss, however a small kiss with Dean was never really just a small kiss, this one being no different as Dean was swiping his to tongue along your bottom lip, you parted your lips allowing dean to explore your mouth, you moaned quietly when dean pushed you slightly to lay back on the bed as he moved to lean on top of you as you continued to make out, deans hand was tugging at the hem of your shirt, and just when you were about to take it off the bathroom door opened, the younger Winchester emerged in his pyjama pants and shirt “seriously!” He yelped turning away
Dean sighed moving to stand up “relax Sammy were decent” you chuckled as you moved to get up and get changed in the bathroom, Dean following close behind “seriously don’t guys I don’t want a repeat of the hunt back in Chicago” you giggled “I promise Sammy we’ll keep it PG” you and Dean changed into your sleepwear, Dean sporting the same as sam, minus the shirt, he found them to be annoying when it got too hot in bed, you in a pair of shorts and deans old led zeppelin shirt
When you both emerged from the bathroom Sam was already tucked in for the night, all lights off minus the one in the bathroom, you and Dean made your way to the bed getting in either side Dean quickly grabbed your waist tugging you close enough so you could rest your head on his bare chest and tangle your legs together “we’re definitely getting our own room next hunt” Dean whispered kissing the top of your head, you chuckled at his remark closing your eyes “whatever you say Winchester”

You knock on Jody’s door, taking a deep breath to calm yourself, some residual adrenaline still playing havoc with your nerves. It’s been a long and insightful day.
Dean opens the door with a smile, but it quickly morphs into an appreciative grin as his eyes travel the length of your body. “Wow,” he says, “who knew all that was hiding under that uniform.”
You laugh, stepping through the door, not in the least bit phased by his comment. It's not the first time you’ve been told that. “Yeah, that uniform is like an invisibility cloak. I put it on, and no man sees me. Guess you're no exception,” you explain, turning to look at him again.
“Well, I see you now,” he says, quickly lifting his focus from your ass to your face. “Um, they’re through there,” he gestures for you to go ahead of him.
“There she is,” Jody says, embracing you with one arm while she places the huge bowl of salad on the table. “How’re you doing?”
“Guess I’m still a little shell-shocked, but I’m okay.”
“Well, we’re all here to help you…adjust,” Sam offers with a kind smile.
Discovering monsters are, in fact, very real and not just a Halloween marketing ploy is definitely going to be an adjustment. But what choice do you have? These people have given you an in. They’ve let you into their secret club, and honestly, you feel privileged that they trust you and think you are capable enough to help.
If you weren’t capable, neither Jody nor Dean would be here right now, a fact Sam keeps thanking you for over dinner.
“Thank you for being so cool about this,” he says again, lifting his beer bottle to clink it against yours.
“I’ll freak out later,” you joke, though you probably will.
“Seriously, you rushed in there, no hesitation, and you held your own,” Jody adds to Sam’s praise. “You certainly proved I picked the right woman for my team.”
“And I can’t thank you enough for that,” you say, genuinely grateful for the opportunity to work with her.
You’ve had some awful bosses and equally shitty jobs over the years, so it's nice to have found Sheriff Mills. Okay, so you’ll be fighting real-life monsters occasionally, but what’s a little compromise?
They answer all your questions, and you’d be lying if you said it wasn’t a little overwhelming. Dean keeps flashing a tight smile in your direction, and you’re not sure if it's meant to be reassuring or if he’s biting his tongue and trying not to be rude. Regardless of his intention, Jody and the boys’ promises to help you come to grips with it all make it seem manageable.
“Am I going to get to hear the story of how you met those two?” you ask Jody in the kitchen later.
“Definitely, but not tonight,” she explains, handing you a clean, soapy plate to rinse and dry.
Dean and Sam laugh in the other room, and Jody smiles wistfully. It’s so sweet and motherly it chokes you up a little.
“The years have not been kind to those boys,” she says, focusing back on the dishes. “They keep their circle small, and I’m grateful that they let me be a part of it, and now you get to join it, too.”
“It’s a damn good-looking circle,” you confess.
Jody chuckles, “Ah, so you noticed Dean as much as he noticed you.”
“Don’t go all matchmaker on me again,” you warn, “do I need to remind you of the disaster that was Paul?”
“No, you do not. I’m just making an observation. The circle is indeed good-looking, and Dean has been doing a lot of observing of his own.”
“Yeah, not sure that’s for the reasons you’re implying,” you say, “Dean doesn’t seem like he wants me to be helping out.”
Dean’s voice startles you, “You saved our asses.” You jump, twisting to look at him, “that’s enough.”
“But if I can do more…”
“The life of a hunter isn’t a life I'd recommend,” he explains, reaching for a beer from the fridge, “ it’s messy and painful and usually ends badly.”
“That’s life in general,” you counter, “and if something is happening and I don’t do anything to help, I’m part of the problem.”
“That’s fine,” he says, throwing his bottle top into the trash. “You’re a bigger part of the problem if you get into a situation you can’t get out of.”
“Dean,” Jody scolds, “take it easy. You said it yourself, she saved our asses today. She’s proven she’s capable.”
“All I’m saying is I’ll help where and if I can,” you explain. “I’m not going to go all Buffy the Vampire Slayer and start patrolling graveyards.”
It’s faint, but a slight quirk tugs his lips, breaking the building tension.
“Besides, I’m sure our uniform makes us invisible to monsters as well as men.”
He laughs properly at that, “Not invisible to me anymore,” his tongue sits behind his teeth, and you're suddenly jealous when he wraps his lips around the bottle.
“Good to know,” you say.
You hold each other’s gaze, perhaps a challenge to see who will shy away first.
“Cool it, you two,” Jody warns, flicking water off the tips of her fingers at you both.
“Sorry, boss,” you laugh. “And on that note, I’m gonna get going.”
“Need a ride?” Dean asks, a smug smirk in play.
“I would love one,” you wink, but follow up with, “but it’s a nice night. Think I’m gonna walk, work off some of that wine.”
“Why don’t you walk her home?” Jody suggests.
Dean nods, “lead the way.”
When you’d balked, telling Dean you didn’t need an escort, he’d countered, saying he needed the fresh air, but you think it’s more to check up on you and maybe flirt a little more without an audience if your instincts are correct. It’s been nothing but small talk since leaving Jody’s until you're standing on your porch facing one another.
“So how are you really taking all this?” he asks.
“I had a little freak out before I got to Jody’s,” you answer honestly, “but truthfully, it makes me feel a little better about the world.”
He huffs a laugh, and his confused frown is adorable. “Okay, that’s a first.”
“There’s so much evil in the world. It’s scary enough without knowing what I know now,” you explain, adding, “Maybe some of the unexplainable evil that’s all over the news is explainable. Maybe it’s not humans being horrible. Maybe it’s actually something evil.”
“Huh, I never thought of it like that.”
“I’m not saying I’ll remember that the next time a vamp is kicking my ass,” you laugh.
“Hey,” he scolds, “you agreed, no hunting.”
You hold your hands up, surrendering. “I won’t go looking for it, but if it comes to Sioux Falls, I’m all over it,” you promise, but your body has other ideas as an overall ache spreads through you as the day's events catch up with you. “Well, maybe in a few days when I’ve recovered from the last one.” Subconsciously, your tongue rolls over the cut on your bottom lip.
“That hurt?” he asks.
“I’ve had worse.” You shrug. The way he’s looking at you dulls the sting of the cut, and the tired ache in your bones shifts and reshapes into a simmering itch that needs scratching.
“You gonna be okay?” he asks, pointing over your shoulder toward your door. The implication of you being alone goes unsaid.
“I’ll be fine,” you say, trying not to roll your eyes. “But maybe you want to come in? Have a coffee or something, distract me a little longer so I don’t freak out too much?”
He smiles, wetting his lips. He knows that’s not what you're asking, and you wonder how often the offer of ‘coffee or something’ has been used successfully on him. He looks down at his shuffling feet, heaving a sigh. “I should get back.”
The hesitation is clear, yet he doesn’t move. A surge of adrenaline spreads through you, and your heart rate increases. When he looks up, catching your eyes, the intensity of the long, loaded pause is enough to make you wonder, if monsters exist, then maybe that electricity everyone talks about is real, too, because it feels like if you touch your hand to Dean’s face, sparks will fly.
“Thanks again for the save today,” he whispers.
“Anytime,” you smile.
You don’t know who moves first, but suddenly you're as one, mouths connected, exploring the other’s, hands groping and gripping, and your lip stings for a split second, but then Dean has you pinned against your door, and you forget about it.
He pulls away and kisses your neck, “Maybe,” he says, scraping his teeth against your jaw, “we should take this inside.”
Your arrangement with Dean works. No pressure, no expectations. Summer comes, and winter fades, but your relationship remains mutually beneficial.
He rolls through Sioux Falls, that charming smile - that you’re not sure he knows quite how charming it is - “passing through,” but he stays a few days. He always claims it’s to catch up with Jody and the girls, but he spends most of his time at your place, and it’s too coincidental that you’re never on shift or scheduled for a few days when Baby pulls up outside.
Jody insists she has nothing to do with it. Yes, she's the sheriff, yes, she’s your boss, and makes the rotas, but “The only thing I swing is that I get to work with you,” she’d promised, winking. And you love her for that. Some of the men are still stuck in the past, and though they don’t say it, you can tell they don’t think women can do the job.
If only they knew. You’ve helped on a few hunts now. There’s no doubt in your mind that your relationship with Dean wouldn’t be what it is if you didn’t know about the real evils of the world. But each hunt ended the same: a dead monster and your body beneath Dean’s.
You're in your room lacing up your little white summer pumps when the Impala’s engine announces his arrival.
You jump to your feet, quickly check yourself in your mirror, smoothing down the already smooth summer dress, and call out, “It’s open,” when his knock echoes around the house.
“Wow, look at you,” he says, freezing partway over the threshold to admire you as you bounce down the stairs.
You deliver your usual greeting, a swift kiss to his lips, and the unmistakable aroma of leather and cheap motel soap assaults your senses - damn, you’ve missed him - but you won’t say it. Instead, you show it, making the kiss deeper.
He shuffles inside, uses your hips to steady himself as he kicks the door closed, and then wraps his arms around your waist to hold you tightly against him.
Your phone rings, and you fumble to find it on the table by the door, but as soon as you do, Dean releases you, kissing your neck and collarbone.
“Hey, hi,” you answer.
“Hey babe,” your best friend sings, and you know it's because she needs something. “Can you grab some ice on your way over?”
“Yeah, sure, okay.”
“You okay?”
No. Yes.
Dean is kneading your breasts, nibbling on the skin that spills out the top of your sundress. “Yeah, just rushing, I’m running late.”
“So late,” he mumbles into your skin.
“Well, hurry more,” she says before hanging up.
“Oh fuck, Dean, you gotta stop,” you whine.
He groans, dulling the sting of his bite with a sweet kiss, and pulls back to look at you. “This a bad time, isn’t it?”
You nod, feeling as disappointed as he looks. “It’s my friend's birthday. She’s having a barbeque.”
He sighs, leaning his head on your shoulder and mumbling into your neck. “Damn it.”
“I have to at least show my face,” you say, using your hands on his cheeks to pull his head up to look into his eyes. “But you can stay here, take a shower, watch a movie or something, and maybe in a couple of hours, I get a headache and need to come home.”
Wetting his lips, he smirks before delivering a brief kiss. “Or,” he draws out the syllable, mild hesitation clear in his eyes, “Maybe I can come with you?”
Since Chuck is no longer an issue, Dean has been making an effort to live in the moment, opening himself up, if only a little. So you try to quell the shock of his suggestion. It quickly evolves to a pleased grin when your mind flashes to your friends' faces when you walk in with the infamous Dean. They will lose their shit. You like spending time with Dean but don’t want to cross any lines or make assumptions. “I’d like that,” you smile, “but you really don’t have to.”
“I’m sure I can survive a couple hours with your friends, and you know I can always eat.”
“Okay,” you nod, smile widening. “If you’re sure.”
He kisses you again, a simple but effective peck on your lips. “But maybe we both get a headache in a couple of hours.”
“Deal,” you agree, sealing it with another casual kiss. “Maybe lose a few layers. It’s summer.”
He laughs, shrugging off his jacket. “I’m sure I have a clean Fed shirt in the trunk.”
“Perfect,” you say, grabbing your bag and keys. “Want me to drive?”
He rolls his eyes, jesting, “Did that kiss fry your brain?” as he follows you out the front door.
He opens the passenger door for you, and before you slip inside, you tell him, “Oh, and whatever my friends say I’ve said about you, it’s all lies.”
He grins smugly, “Oh, this is going to be fun.”
The shower has done wonders for your developing hangover. Your friend's barbecue lasted longer than you had anticipated, but the day couldn’t have gone better.
Dean fit in well with everyone and crushed it at beer pong. It was a success all around, and when you’d quietly asked if he wanted to leave, he’d said no, that he was having too much fun.
The fun continued when you got home, and Dean is undoubtedly still feeling the effects as well. It’s almost midday, and he’s still sound asleep in your bed when you enter your bedroom in clean sweats and your bra while you towel dry your hair.
Dean is lying on his stomach, with his face smushed adorably against the pillow he’s hugging, taking advantage of all the space now that you’ve vacated.
You crawl across the bed, leaning over him, and he still doesn’t stir. You put your lips close to his ear and half whisper, “Morning.”
His brow instantly creases, and he squeezes his eyes tighter, groaning, “No, no, you have to go away.”
“You gotta get up. It’s almost midday.”
“Nuh-uh,” he grumbles, eyes still squeezed shut. “You have to take your horrible talking, talky mouth away from me.”
“Okay, you asked for it.” You laugh, sitting back and wringing your hair out so the excess water drips on his naked back.
“Ah,” he groans, arching up off the mattress.
You jump off the bed, laughing as you walk to the mirror to start doing your hair. Turning over, he rubs a hand over his face and then both through his hair, causing it to stick up adorably. He catches you staring in the mirror, and you quickly avert your eyes.
“Damn, your friends can drink,” he says, sitting up against the headboard.
You laugh, that’s an understatement. “They definitely know how to have fun.”
“They seem like a good bunch.”
“They liked you too,” you smile at his reflection, and he grins back. “Laura told me to invite you to her and Chris’ wedding.”
His expression shifts, staring off into the distance for a singular moment as if he’s imagining how that would play out. But as quickly as it appears, it drops when he scrubs a hand down his face to put the mask back on. “That’s cool, but I can’t make that kind of commitment.” He swings his legs off the bed, putting his back to you. “I don’t know where I’ll be.”
You hadn’t expected a solid answer, but the double meaning behind his words settles thick disappointment in your stomach. You’ve never asked for any commitment nor discussed the arrangement between you, but hearing him say it aloud singes the hope you always try to contain.
Dean quickly gets to his feet, swaying at the abruptness. “I’m gonna grab a shower.” He mumbles, avoiding eye contact as he heads to the bathroom.
It’s been less than ten minutes, and you’re sitting at the kitchen table, scrolling through your phone, when he finds the courage to face you again. He’s talking to Sam on his phone, obnoxiously loud, as he descends the stairs, trying to make a point of his hasty need to depart.
He appears in the kitchen doorway, jacket in hand, hair dripping onto the shoulders of his henley. You guess you should be grateful he wasn’t cowardly enough to have just shouted goodbye from the door.
“Listen, I’m sorry about before.” He moves closer to the table, eyeing you as he raps his knuckles on the polished wood. “It’s just that, even with Chuck out of the picture, I’m not sure how things are going to play out. I can’t make any, uh, long-term commitments. Sam and-“
“I get it, Dean.” The last thing you want is any tension between you, so you nip the growing uncomfortableness. “We don’t need to have any awkward conversations.”
He bobs his head, hope swimming in his eyes. “So, we’re good?”
You take your mug to the sink, and once your back is to him, you say, “Yeah, we’re good.”
“You sure?” You didn’t hear him move, but the air shifts behind you, bringing his warmth along with it.
Plastering on a smile, you turn to face him and nod. “Take care of yourself.”
The corner of his mouth curls upward, and he kisses your forehead before heading to the door, “Talk to you soon,” he calls before the door clicks shut.
Fools rush in. Dean is no fool. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t feel like being one sometimes. Usually, it’s when he’s on the road, heading home from a hunt or supply run, he daydreams about how things could be with you.
The daydream isn’t much different from how things already are. The sex would just be coupled with more official dates – dinner, movies, watching him, which for some reason turns you on, ‘do his thing’ as you call it when he’s hustling suckers at pool. Hell, even grocery shopping. He’d sneak unhealthy snacks into the cart because you promised Sam you’d take care of him, and you would. Dean knows you’d be good to him, that you are good for him. But he’s lived that life. He doesn’t need a wake-up call to know how it ends.
It’s a nice daydream. It gives him a much-needed boost of serotonin when he’s in short supply. But like the gas that fuels Baby, the thought has vaporized by the time he shuts off the engine.
Chuck isn’t calling the shots anymore, but that doesn’t mean the big bads aren’t still gunning for the Winchester's demise. Sam has it all figured out with Eileen, and Dean wishes he could be as sure about what he wants life to look like now. But he can’t be sure of anything, at least not yet. He’s still working on adjusting to a life not consumed by hunting. Trying to come to terms with the fact that there isn’t something lurking around every corner, that the choices he makes – good and bad – are truly his and not fueled by some life-ending curveball Chuck tosses at them.
The doubts bore deeper, and as always, when he’s drowning in his own head, he thinks of you.
He remembers how you busted down the door with borrowed equipment from Sioux Falls. You’d looked frantic but still in control. Your mere presence had calmed him, and not because you were there to rescue him. You didn’t waste a breath with a witty comment like he would have. You let off two shots, dropped the ghoul about to take a chunk out of him, and then untied him.
You’d been cool and calm, checked him for injuries, but didn’t believe he was truly okay till he kissed you breathless. That adrenaline-filled, kiss-swollen lips, slightly frantic edge to your eyes, is the picture he conjures whenever he thinks of you.
It’s been a while since he’s seen you. You’ve exchanged a few calls, but now that his mind is stuck on that picture of you, he has to see you.
He shoots Sam a text, telling him he’ll be in Sioux Falls if Sam needs anything, and then pulls an illegal u-turn to put himself in your direction.
Dean’s not phased that you aren’t home when he shows up. It’s not like he called ahead. He never does. But now that he’s here, he doesn’t want to waste time tracking you down, so he calls.
“Hey,” you greet brightly.
The smile in your voice brings out his. “Hey, yourself. I’m at your door.”
“Shit, sorry, I’m not there.”
He chuckles, “Are you around, or does my timing suck again?”
“No, no, it’s kinda perfect, actually,” you say. “I was gonna call you later anyway. But I need a half hour or so.”
“I can wait.”
“Greasy Sal’s?” you offer.
He smiles, already salivating at the thought of a Greasy Sal’s cheeseburger. “Throw in some curly fries,” he requests.
“Okay, got it,” You laugh.
Dean sits on the Impala’s hood while he waits, head tilted toward the sun, eyes closed while he catches the day’s last rays. The sound of your car’s engine isn’t as distinct as Baby’s, but he knows it well enough that as soon as he hears it, he opens his eyes and watches you turn onto the street. It’s not until that moment that he realizes how eager he is to see you. Maybe Greasy Sal’s can wait; he has another hunger he needs to sate.
He waits till you shut off the engine to open your door, “such a gentleman,” you quip, taking his offered hand to step onto the sidewalk. “Or are you clambering for food?”
“Not what I’m hungry for,” he says, guiding you against your car. He presses himself against you, feeling the coolness of the air conditioning on your clothes. He circles the tip of your nose with his own, whispering, “Hey,” against your lips before claiming them as his own.
Frustratingly, you push a hand into his chest after the first brush of his tongue, and he pulls back to look at you. You're looking up at him from under hooded eyes, and he feels like his heart skips a beat, or maybe he’s just a little out of breath. But he knows that with you gazing up at him like he’s a beautiful sunset, he really has missed you.
“Maybe we should take this inside.”
“Absolutely,” he says, slightly impatient that he can’t get you naked then and there.
He walks to the trunk to get your shopping bags and follows you up the path. He has a bag packed with his essentials but never brings it inside until the next morning. Something about bringing it in before you’ve had sex seems presumptuous, which is crazy because, as per the arrangement, that’s exactly what he’s here for.
“It’s good to see you,” you say, entering your kitchen with him close on your tail.
“Yeah, you too.” He genuinely means it. It’s like things fall into place when he’s around you.
“How’s Sam?”
“He’s good,” Dean explains, placing the grocery bags on the countertop. “He’s taken Eileen away for a couple days.”
“Good for them.”
You unpack the groceries and take a beer from the fridge; as always, it's his favorite brand. Though he never warns you of his pending arrival there is always a supply cooling in the refrigerator and his favorite snacks in the cupboards.
He takes the open bottle from you, leaning in to deliver another kiss, but you turn to grab more groceries, and he realizes it's a not-so-stealthy way to give him your cheek.
It seems to be the day of revelations because he’s super aware of how easily you flow around each other in the small kitchen. Dean plates up the burgers, grabbing another beer for you from the fridge, and he’s surprised to see that it’s the only one left. That, coupled with the kiss avoidance, gives him pause. Something’s wrong.
You sit at the table and take a large gulp of the beer. “You okay?” he asks once you’ve swallowed the beer and the nervousness you're exuding. “You seem a little…off.”
“Yeah, I’m fine,” you say, then inhale deeply before adding, “Actually, no, I’m not. We need to talk. And I hate how cliche that sounds, but I don’t know how else to bring it up, and I don’t want to get all emotional on you, but I need to tell you something.”
He feels the panic fizz in his gut. You can’t be pregnant. He's seen you take birth control, and he uses protection every time. So it can only be one thing …you're about to ruin everything.
You're going to utter those three words, and it's going to be the death blow to all the good stuff between you.
He takes a swig of his beer, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. “Please don’t,” he begs, looking you dead square in the eyes. “What we’ve got going on is good, we’re good…”
“Dean, I …” you try, but he holds a hand up to cut you off.
“Don’t say it.” he pushes his chair back and rubs his hands on his thighs, palms suddenly sweaty. “I like what we have. It works, and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t look forward to it or that I don’t miss you. But I just got back a little peace of mind and…” he pauses, clearly searching for the right word, “caring about someone…” he shakes his head, reaching to wrap his hand around his beer bottle. “...Loving me, even with Chuck gone, it doesn’t make it any less of a death sentence. So please don’t say it.”
You reach across the table for his hand, clenched around his beer, but he’s quick to pull back. “Dean,” you choke out, the remorse you feel slipping from your eyes in a single tear. “I’ve met someone.”
He stares at you, mouth agape, not sure that he heard you correctly.
“It’s still new,” you continue, rushing to explain as your tears spill. “But it’s going somewhere. Somewhere great, and I don’t want to mess it up.”
Of course, you haven’t been sitting at home waiting for his sporadic visits. You’ve been out living your life as you should be. The possibility of meeting someone else, someone you could say those three words to, and it be a life sentence and not a death sentence, had occurred to him more than once. It poked at him like a swarming gnat, knowing you deserved to find someone better than him, but selfishly, he swatted at it until it went away.
He’s holding his breath and will get light-headed soon if he doesn’t find the ability to breathe again.
“Dean,” you coax, “say something.”
He feels as if you’d blindsided him, come out of the left field, and taken his legs out from under him. Now he’s on his back, the wind knocked out of him, and waiting for the feeling in his limbs to return.
Abruptly he stands. He sees the panic in your eyes and knows what’s coming. As you plead, “Don’t leave,” he says, “I gotta go.”
He strides quickly toward the door. You call his name as he goes, but he doesn’t stop.
He rushes out your front door, leaves it open, and as he reaches Baby, he has a singular moment of wondering what will hurt the least - holding on or letting go.
“Dean, please,” you call from the door.
He slides behind the wheel, deciding to let go.

You Don't Have to Be Okay
Sam Winchester x Reader
Summary: Sam has trouble coping with his nightmares. She helps him.
Rating: PG-13
A/N: This made me cry while writing. Enjoy!
▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣
It was gradual.
She noticed how tired Sam was all of the time. She blamed it on the usual stress of hunting. After a few months she begins to notice how it's every single time she sees him. It's almost like he never has the chance to sleep.
She mentions it to Dean, who tells her that Sam's handling things just fine. She doesn't agree.
During a hunt that Sam was doing with her, she noticed the nightmares. She would ask him about it the next day, or offer to grab coffee whenever he woke up in a cold sweat. The results were the same every single time. He would brush off her concern, just like Dean had.
She was a light sleeper, an occupational hazard. It was the last night at the piece of shit hotel with Sam. She awoke to the sound of mumbling and someone thrashing around. Her hand went to the hilt of the knife hidden between the bed and the dresser. Once her weapon was safely in her hands she flicked on the lamp.
Her eyes scanned the room. It had just been Sam. She sighed, dropping the knife on the little dresser. She stood and sat on the edge of Sam's bed. She didn't want to wake him but the pained mumbles slipping past his lips, and his horrified expression made her.
She was careful, knowing he would be frightened and disoriented whenever he woke up. She shook his shoulders, making sure to be ready for whenever he would wake up. He sat up, looking like he had seen a ghost. She gently grabbed his wrists whenever his fists went flying.
He blinked a few times, realizing where he was. And who he had almost punched.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry. Shit," He quickly apologized. His expression still held the same horrified look. It broke her heart to see him like this.
She gave him a soft smile and let go of his wrists. He ran his fingers through his hair as he tried to fix all of the pieces sticking in every direction. She was patient, letting him wake up a bit more. She wouldn't start prying whenever he was this disoriented.
"It's okay," She said, placing a hand on his knee.
"No, it's not!" Sam replied, visibly distraught. He could have punched her. All for trying to help him.
"Is it about Jess?" She blurted. She wanted to help. Maybe if he talked about it, maybe she could help him. Seeing him suffer like this was painful. It hurt seeing such a close friend in pain.
Her father was a hunter too. She had grown up around the Winchester boys. She had always been good friends with both of, especially Sam. The two were close, well, as close as they could be with the lifestyle they led.
". . . Yeah, it is," Sam replied softly, looking down at his hands. He could not bring himself to meet her gaze. Not with the way he felt tears stinging his eyes. He didn't want her to see him like this.
"I'm here, and I'll listen. I'll do whatever you need me to do," She said.
Sam sniffled. He finally moved his gaze from his hands and looked at her as a tear finally spilled down his cheek. He didn't understand why she cared so much. Sure, they were friends. He didn't feel like he deserved this though.
"You can't bring her back. You can't stop her from getting burned on the god-damn ceiling just because I left her."
His words made her do a double take. She had known that his girlfriend's death had been horrific, and had involved a fire. She hadn't realized just how truly horrible it had been.
"No, I can't. But, I can help you," She said softly, brushing a tear off his cheek.
She wrapped her arms around him. He shuddered under her touch. He was too exhausted, in more than one way. He couldn't resist the comfort of her arms. He buried his head in her neck and let the tears fall.
She might not be able to save Jess from the horrible fate she had met, but she could help Sam. The poor boy needed it. The nightmares might only be about Jess, and that horrible night, but the scars hunting left on him went deeper than his skin. He felt them branded into his soul. Horrible memories waiting to punish him again.
He was more sensitive than Dean and his father. He never truly got over those things. He thought about them all of the time. It was like he couldn't escape. Walking down the street he would see someone who reminded him of a person he couldn't save. It was always something.
Maybe she really could help.
He clung to her even tighter, grateful for her silent comfort. Once the tears dried up, and he felt like he would never be able to cry again, he pulled away. He awkwardly rubbed at his tear stained cheeks.
"Thank you," He said softly, hating how weak his voice sounded.
"You don't need to thank me."

Dean winchester x male!reader
Note : I’m just writing to pass some time nothing serious but I hope you will still enjoy
English is not my first language sorry if there’s mistakes
Dean comes to pick up drunk (Y/N) from a work gathering.
.
.
.
(Y/N) was about to pass out, slumped over a table in a restaurant whose name he didn't even know. His colleagues made him drink in abundance when he didn’t wanted to go at this gathering in the first place. They played stupid games and a girl confessed her feelings for him. That’s all he could remember at the moment. That was surprisingly a lot. His tie was in the way and he undid it in a clumsy gesture before looking around him. Everyone had vanished. Only empty or half-drunk glasses decorated the table with loneliness. (Y/N) wouldn’t lie, it did worried him but his sleepiness was way more intense and his head went back on the hard and cold wood. Bobby will definitely be mad to see him come back home in this state.
Bobby adopted (Y/N) when he was a teenager since he knew his biological parents who died during a hunt. That’s how (Y/N) became so close with the Winchester. He didn’t really grew up with them since he got adopted at the time Sam went to college and Dean was hunting with John but he saw them way too often. At first, when they met, (Y/N) didn’t like Dean. He was too arrogant, too… (Y/N) didn’t really knew, he was just too Dean. (Y/N) realised way later that he was probably annoyed at the fact he loved him way much more than he should. Dean was way too perfect in his eyes. He loved him but Dean would never in return. At least not as something other than Bobby’s adopted son, so as a so called lil’bro.
(Y/N) head started to hurt and his vision made him have doubts about reality. Actually, all his colleagues abandoned him there. It was really a surprise. He never had been the most liked. On the contrary, The girl, she was quite popular at the office so some of them left with jealousy but the most abandoned him because he rejected her. At least it would be a better excuse than just the fact they disliked him. (Y/N) didn’t reject her in a harsh way just in honesty. He liked someone else for so many years now. But I guess his colleagues didn’t see it the same. The girl cried and made herself the victim so everyone supported her and saw (Y/N) as a villain. Obviously, no one would help a drunk villain right ?
One of the barman went to (Y/N) and checked on him. He shook him, going from gently to briskly, but nothing (Y/N) didn’t regained consciousness. (Y/N) wasn’t even feeling anything. The bartender sighed and picked up the customer's phone. Unfortunately, he had a habit of calling the relatives to pick up his terrible customers. The barman went stray to the emergency contact and didn’t hesitate. The other responded quickly at his pleasure and he explained the situation quite annoyed.
On the other side, Dean wasn’t expecting this situation. He was about to finally go to sleep after his terribly long day and now he was back on the road. This is probably one of the routes where he drove the impala at its highest speed. Before leaving, Dean warned Sammy that he was going to get (Y/N) and the brother didn’t asked much more. He was used to it by now. It wasn’t the first time it happened. Dean leaving at whenever hours of the day to help (Y/N). The older Winchester arrived not long after the call and went stray to (Y/N)’s table. The man looked in an awful shape and that made Dean frustrated, probably anger. He took a chair and sat next to him.
- “(Y/N), I’m here.” Started Dean softly.
The other turned his head in the direction of the voice with implacable slowness. He thought he was dreaming. Dean couldn't be there, he was in another state normally. The barman gave the phone back to Dean that thanked him in the background. (Y/N) was just sitting awkwardly his eyes fixed on Dean. He realised the situation and felt ashamed. He bothered Dean. The person with maybe the most things to do in this world. Dean was on a case with Sammy he couldn’t be here, even more at this hour he should be resting. He couldn’t just drive here and take care of him like that. (Y/N) wasn’t the happiest when he drank, that was a fact.
Dean looked at the other with sad eyes and made him sat straight. (Y/N) played with his tie again and Dean helped to take it off.
- “I’m driving you home, let’s go.”
Dean picked the other up easily and placed (Y/N)´s arm around his shoulder. (Y/N) didn’t helped much and staggered with difficulty.
- “Come on buddy, help me a bit”
Dean gently sat him down in the car before going back to his own seat. The other didn’t even said anything since he was here and it worried him more than he could admit. They both sat there in silence for a while. The Winchester also couldn’t take his eyes off the man.
- “What happened ?” The taller one continued.
- “Nothing serious.” (Y/N)’s voice was sore and difficult to hear.
- “You expect me to believe that ?”
- “It’s the truth. I was at a gathering that’s all. I didn’t know the bartender would call you. You shouldn’t be here. You should have declined, they would have called someone else.”
- “I’m glad they called me. How else would you have gotten home? Call who else ? Do you have any friends other than us ? I don’t think so. Don’t you ever think ? Drunk as you are right now something could have happened to you.” Dean’s voice sounded harsher than what he would have like it to be.
- “I’m sorry.” (Y/N) was only watching at his hands while he played with them, stressed. “I didn’t wanted to bother you.” The conversation was uncomfortable and felt so far away in his state.
- “come on, you’re never bothering me sweetheart. That wasn’t what I was implying. I’m just worried about you.”
- “I know it wasn’t what you were saying. But I’m still a burden to you Dean. You have more important things to do than that. I’m not a kid you need to take care of. Gosh I hate this.”
- “But, you’re the most important” replied Dean deeply serious.
- “That’s not true and you know that” (Y/N) didn’t liked the answer.
- “That’s not true for you but that’s true for me” the anger of the taller one kept on increasing.
- “Don’t say things you don’t mean Dean. Not things like that. Don’t mess with me.”
(Y/N)‘s head wasn’t clear at all at the moment. He didn’t knew how to think correctly. Dean could mean it but not in the way he wished he did. (Y/N) was convinced Dean though he was the most important just because Bobby ordered the boys to always look after him. It was nothing more, nothing less. Dean couldn’t love him.
- “Drive me to a motel, Bobby can’t see me in this state he will got mad and it’s not good for his heart.” (Y/N) stated coldly.
Dean started ‘baby’ without a word and drove to where he was ordered. (Y/N) took out his pack of cigarettes off his pocket and light up one. Dean looked at him in disbelief and took it from him before throwing it out off the window.
- “Dean come on !”
- “We have a rule. Not in my car and I stop bothering you with it.”
- “It’s expensive, you could have just told me to turn it off.” (Y/N) was definitely more than pissed off.
- “just quit smoking it’s easier.” Dean was being deadly serious. He hated it.
- “You’re a funny guy, you know. You quit drinking.”
- “Quit drinking first if you end up like this every time.”
- “I told you I didn’t wanted to. It’s just work. I had to or I will be a paria or some stuff like that.”
- “I believe you’re already one honey.” Dean was actually joking on this but how (Y/N)’s colleagues were treating him was worrying him.
Dean sighed deeply. He didn’t knew how to help the other. He knew something was up with (Y/N) for some time now but when he tried to get the end of it (Y/N) pushed him away every time. On the contrary, Sammy knew more on the subject. Dean was convinced on that. The eyes of Sammy were always implying something when it comes to (Y/N). Like a big secret that the big brother was the only one not knowing. (Y/N) swore he never told Sammy anything but something was fishy.
They arrived pretty quickly at the motel and Dean took a room for both of them while (Y/N) sat in entry drinking water to come back on earth. The Winchester took the key and went back to the other. He helped (Y/N) to stand up while the other explained he could manage alone. They headed to the room in a tense silence they never really had between them. (Y/N) never behaved that cold with Dean. He felt far away and it was strange. Dean didn’t liked it. He didn’t like the feeling all this procured him. He hated the tension. The only time there was any was when they met and it was ages ago. It wasn’t normal.
Dean unlocked the door and directly throw his stuff on the bed. Only one bed. (Y/N) frowned. It wasn’t the first time they actually shared one but he wasn’t feeling it tonight. There’s wasn’t any reason behind this choice. Generally, when they shared a bed Sammy was there too, so it was just less expensive to take two big bed than three. But right now, Dean could have just take two. It was just them only. Sammy wasn’t there.
- “Why did you took only one bed ?” It wasn’t just coldness, (Y/N) voices was deeply stressed, like he was scared.
- “Oh, I didn’t through of it. I’m just used to us sharing one I guess.” Dean unpacked some stuff, not looking at the other.
- “Well I don’t want to.”
Dean eyes went stray on (Y/N) who was avoiding his stare. The Winchester analysed the other up and down. (Y/N) was staying in a corner of the room not moving a single part of his body. He just looked so uncomfortable in every aspect. His hands were twitching from stress. It felt wrong.
- “Hey what’s going on ? Talk to me. What’s happening to you ?”
- “I don’t wanna share a bed with you.”
- “I don’t think that’s the real matter it never bothered you before.”
- “It always did.” It was a half lie. It’s not like he disliked it but (Y/N) felt wrong every time. Like he shouldn’t because if Dean knew the truth he would probably be disgusted or something.
- “Really ?” Dean frowned. “You never told me. You could have said so.”
(Y/N) didn’t responded and stayed in his corner his eyes on the ground. The Winchester walked to him in worry and tried to catch his eyes.
- “Do I need to take another room ? Do you want me to do that ?”
Still no answer from the other, no look, nothing. Dean took his hand in the greatest softness like (Y/N) could break from that.
- “(Y/N) talk to me. What’s wrong ?”
(Y/N) eyes suddenly locked with dean’s in pure sadness. Dean felt like his heart was breaking in pieces he hated that look. Every time he saw it he was swearing to himself it would be the last time and yet (Y/N) was sad again. He failed his mission. Dean put his hand gently on the cheek of the other.
- “what’s going on ? Huh ? Tell me.”
- “I can’t” (Y/N) was about to cry. Every word was just pure torture to pronounce.
- “why ? You can tell me anything. You know you can.”
(Y/N) shook his head to say no and Dean hugged him to calm him down. He rubbed the other’s back gently.
- “You’re fine, it’s gonna be okay.” At this point Dean was probably reassuring himself too.
Dean continued hugging him while (Y/N) tears fell down slowly, one by one.
- “You really can’t drink, huh.” Dean tried to joke.
- “I love you.” (Y/N)’s chest was about to explode like the world was ending.
- “And I love you too sweetheart. Always.”
- “No, Dean. I love you. I’m in love with you. I love you.”
And (Y/N) got silence as an answer. Dean stood back. He stopped the embrace and his heart broke. (Y/N) felt like suffocating, his chest was way to heavy. He felt disgusting, he felt wrong, he felt selfish, inconsiderate, unmindful. Not because they were two boys, who cared about that. But because it was Dean who Bobby presented like a big brother and always acted like one even tho (Y/N) hated it more than anything. Plus, Dean liked girls and dated way too many for those feelings to be reciprocate right. He couldn’t do that to Dean. His tears became a wave in a second and his hole body started shaking.
- "You’re drunk. You don’t know what you’re saying." Dean’s voice was distanced. “We will talk about this tomorrow.”
- “No I’m not. Dean I’m in love with you. Why would I lied on that ? I always loved you from the beginning and I think it’s kind of obvious. I’m sorry. I know I shouldn’t. I will stop if you don’t want me to.”
(Y/N) felt inconsolable. Everything was blurry and silent around him and it was killing him slowly.
- “Dean I- ”
And just like that Dean was kissing him. (Y/N) always thought Dean kisses were rough, wild or stuff like that. He never imagined it could be that soft and comforting. Dean hand was in his hair caressing it. Everything felt sweet and gentle. That was so unmatching with Dean image and if he wasn’t in a state of pure shock he would have definitely chuckle about it.
When (Y/N) finally realised what was happening he pushed Dean slowly away.
- “Dean you can’t”
- “what ? Why ? Did you disliked it ?” Asked the taller one, concerned.
- “No it’s not that. But why ? You can’t kiss me just to please me or calm me down. That’s wrong. You can’t miss lead me like that."
- "what ? No. I didn’t do it for that (Y/N). I didn’t did it just for you. I love you too, that’s why."
- “that’s not true. You can’t.”
- “Why can’t I ? You can’t forbid me. Why would I, in the middle of the night, drive through several states, at full speed, just to pick you up if I didn’t love you.”
- “Because Boddy told you two to take care of me.”
- “Honey. He told us that when we were kids. What are we now ? I’m 26 and you’re 24. We’re grown men. I don’t need Bobby to tell me to care about you. I just do. Because I love you.”
(Y/N) stayed silent looking at Dean in disbelief.
- “Is that why you never liked when I said you were the most important thing to me ? You thought it was because of Bobby that I was saying that ?”
- “Yes.” (Y/N) just nodded softly in shame.
- “That’s insane. Sweetheart I can think for myself I don’t just follow Bobby orders because he says so. I love you because you’re you not because anyone told me to.”
Dean sighed and hugged the other one more time. He felt relieved. The big problem wasn’t something unsolvable in the end. He continued :
- “I love you too. Now let’s get some sleep I’m exhausted.”
(Y/N) nodded in Dean arms softly hugging him tied.
- “I really hope this isn’t a drunk dream" chuckled (Y/N)
- “You will see in the morning.”

A Healing Kiss
This fic will cover my "Let me kiss it better." square on my 2nd @jacklesversebingo card. The prompt will be in bold.
Summary: Y/N causes Dean a bit of damage. Can she fix it with a...kiss?
Warnings/Explicit 18+: Just a little bit of smutty goodness. Blowjob. slight handjob. Oral (m receiving). Implied oral (f receiving). Crack if you squint.
Pairings: Dean x Reader
Word Count: 1,968
A/N: Here is the next request for my second @jacklesversebingo card. It came from @suckitands33 :
Oh I’d love ‘let me kiss it better’ how about along the lines of flirting Dean and reader. Nothing actually happening though then reader hurts Dean in the dick and balls by mistake and says that ‘line’ and dean thinks she’s joking but she follows through with it. Love a bit of mutual pining then they give in to their desires. 🙏🏼
The pining ended up being a bit more from the reader's POV, but there's a hint that Dean's in the same mindset. Hope you enjoy it, hon! Hope everyone enjoys it! If you do, please don't forget to reblog, comment and/or like. I so appreciate it! ❤️
The beautiful dividers are created by @talesmaniac89 .
“Shit! Shit! I'm so sorry!”
Y/N winced as Dean just groaned out his pain and rolled into the fetal position.
“Dean! I'm so sorry!” She repeated, kneeling beside him, hands running up and down his sweaty bicep. “I just stumbled, I was aiming for your thigh.”
She grimaced again as she remembered the powerful kick she'd delivered, intending to connect with his meaty thigh, a move he could have blocked, or taken easily. They were training and Dean was on the attack, she was on the defense. But she’d just lost her center of gravity for a half second as she shot her foot out and she stumbled, landing the blow to a much more sensitive area.
Dean just waved at her as he sucked in deep breaths. She wasn’t sure if he was telling her it was okay, or telling her to get lost. Eventually he pulled himself up and disappeared into the bathroom. She thought he might be checking for permanent damage. She grabbed the bucket and filled it with ice from the machine just outside their room.
She knocked on the door of the bathroom. “Dean? I have some ice for you.”
The door opened a crack, but only Dean’s big hand stuck out, reaching for the bucket. He groped in the air for a minute until she grabbed his wrist and set the bucket on his palm. It disappeared back inside and the lock clicked.
She sighed and flopped down on her bed. This was definitely not how she’d wanted this evening to go.
This was only the third time she’d been out hunting with the Winchesters; there was a lull in the case and they had to wait until the next day to interview a couple of witnesses to what they were fairly certain was a demon possession. So Sam was off with the pretty librarian they’d met earlier, and had texted Dean not to wait up.
So it was just the two of them in the motel. This was the first time they'd ever been completely alone for any length of time and Y/N was feeling the tension. She felt as though there had always been a bit of something between them, just a spark that sprang to life sometimes, a touch here and there that felt like it could be much more if they allowed it.
Or at least, she thought there was a spark. She was a tiny bit worried she'd become delusional because of how badly she wanted the green-eyed hunter. So when Dean had suggested they spend their evening getting in some training, Y/N had jumped at the chance, hoping he was suggesting it as a way for them to get close - and physical.
She did her best to be at least a little subtle in her excitement over the prospect of sweaty, hand to hand grappling with the hottest fucking man she’d ever known. Since they’d met less than a year before she hadn’t been able to get him out of her head. She was crossing every finger she had that this evening would lead to something she’d been craving for a very long time.
Everything Dean did was sexy, every part of him made her melt - his thick, solid, hunter’s body, long and powerful and begging to be taken for a ride. His deep, rumbling voice, like a shot of strong whiskey, always made her shiver. His eyes and the way they held secrets and promises in equal measure within their mossy green depths. And that mouth - Jesus, it should be illegal for a man to have a mouth that pretty.
He was basically walking temptation and she desperately wanted to give in.
But now, instead of using their physical closeness and panting exertion to finally get him naked, she’d probably made it impossible for him to have children. She clapped her hands to her face and tried not to scream.
Finally, ten minutes later, Dean came out of the bathroom. Y/N sat up as he set the bucket of melting ice onto the counter beside the coffee maker. She scrunched up her face in sympathy.
“I’m really sorry.”
But Dean just shook his head and fell onto his bed. “Nah, it’s fine, sweetheart. I’ll live. But you should definitely use that kick on a bad guy; he’ll be down and out like that.” He said with a snap of his fingers.
Y/N bit her lip. “Good to know.”
Dean folded his arms behind his head and grinned at her. “Where’d you learn that little ninja kick, by the way? It’s pretty badass.”
She rolled her eyes. “Yeah, it’s much more badass when I don’t stumble and miss my target.”
Dean chuckled. “Well, I will admit that wasn’t exactly how I was hoping our sparring session would end.”
Y/N’s stomach clenched. She licked her lips, eyes locked with his. “Really? How uh…how were you hoping it would end?”
Those wicked promises were back in his gaze as he shrugged and smirked. “I was hoping to win, of course.”
“Ah, of course.” Y/N said, trying to gauge his mood. Was this friendly flirting or something more real? “Sorry I nailed you in the nads instead.”
Dean chuckled again, a low rumble. “I feel like that apology wasn’t as sincere as the others.”
Trying hard not to think of the consequences if she was reading him wrong, Y/N got up to walk to his bed and sit down at his hip. “I’m sorry, Dean.” She said sincerely, but slightly breathless. “Let me kiss it better.”
Dean’s eyes widened and warmed. His tongue darted out and he pulled his bottom lip into his mouth, sucking on it for a moment before letting it go, leaving it plump and wet and enticing. He forced another small laugh and a smirk. “That’s funny, sweetheart.”
Y/N smiled and then moved her hand to his belt buckle, just resting it there. “And if I wasn’t joking?”
Dean breathed out roughly, his eyes downcast and staring at her hand. When they raised back to hers, the pupils were bleeding into his bright green irises. “Then I’d say, it will probably take more than a kiss to make it all better.”
Y/N’s grin became wicked as she worked at his belt with one hand. “I’ll see what I can do.”
Dean’s breathing picked up as she unzipped his jeans and reached her hand inside. She groaned along with him as she ran her hand over his underwear and along his incredible length. He was semi-hard already and so thick it made Y/N’s mouth water.
She tugged on his jeans and he lifted his hips to let her pull them off. She climbed onto the bed and straddled his bare legs before running her hands up his thighs. She dug her nails into the thick, meaty muscles there and Dean hissed.
She bent her head down and pushed his t-shirt up so she could lay wet, sucking kisses across his flat stomach. She lowered the waistband of his boxer briefs just a bit so she could bite into the taut v-shaped muscle that disappeared into his underwear, making Dean buck slightly beneath her.
He moved his hands from behind his head to grip the sheets in his big fists as Y/N slid down his body slightly so she could place a light kiss to the thick ridge straining against the black cotton.
“All better?” She teased. Dean huffed out a laugh and his voice was pure rasp as he answered.
“Not quite.”
She hummed and nodded. “Better get a closer look then.”
She slowly peeled his snug briefs down over his hips. He lifted for her again briefly and she freed his dick to slap against his lower abdomen.
“Fuck me.” She said quietly as she took in the beauty of his perfectly marbled cock, long and thick and leaking.
“That's the idea, sweetheart.” Dean said with a breathy chuckle.
She leaned down to kiss the very tip, flicking her tongue into his slit and making his cock twitch. She moaned as she wrapped her hand around the base and couldn’t quite make her fingers touch. She began placing feather light kisses all along the shaft and she could feel it throb beneath her lips.
She pushed it flat against his stomach and swirled her tongue around each of his balls, earning a grunt and a ragged curse from Dean.
“Fuck Y/N, fuck.” He mumbled.
She mouthed her way up his shaft, teasing and tormenting him by occasionally scraping her teeth very gently over his velvety skin. Finally she closed her mouth tight around the tip pulling in her cheeks and sucking on him like a popsicle. He groaned deeply and her core muscles clenched painfully.
His left hand moved into her hair and he gave it a tug as she slid further down his length. “Yes, baby take it all, swallow me down.” He ground out between clenched teeth.
Y/N hummed her agreement and pushed down as far as she could, till he was touching the back of her throat. She dropped her jaw, and let go of the base of his dick so she could plant her hands on the mattress on either side of his hips and arch her neck so that she could take his whole cock, pressing her nose against his pelvic bone and letting him stretch her throat.
Dean’s hips bucked and she pulled all the way off of him, letting her spit and his cum keep them connected as she looked up the length of his body to watch him push his head back into the pillow and growl. His hand in her hair kept tugging and pulling as she began bobbing up and down on his cock. The slight sting spurred her on, and she moved faster and faster on him, letting him hit the back of her throat every time.
She pushed down hard on him and the spongy head of his cock slipped down her throat once again. She swallowed around him, and then sealed her lips tight and sucked hard as she pulled back up.
Dean pushed against her shoulders. “Fuck, I’m close, I’m gonna cum.”
Y/N gripped his dick in her hand again, pumping it a few times, before she opened her mouth wide and bounced his heavy cock against her tongue. Her saliva ran down his length, allowing her hand to glide over him smoothly as she kept milking him. Finally with a fierce yell, Dean gushed into her mouth and down her chin.
She pumped him through his whole climax, licking and sucking on him as his hips stuttered and he finally fell back onto the mattress, spent and panting. Y/N cleaned him up with her tongue, making sure she got every drop.
As his breathing normalized and began to even out Dean grabbed her wrist and yanked her forward to fall across him. He brought her mouth to his and kissed her long and hard, not caring that he could taste himself on her lips. He rolled her over and pinned her beneath him before pushing to his knees and yanking his shirt off so he was completely naked. She was still fully dressed.
He tugged on her t-shirt. “Gotta do something about this.” He said as he pulled it off.
Y/N giggled breathlessly and then gasped as he moved to unzip her jeans. “Does this mean my kiss worked?” She gasped. “Feeling all better now?”
Dean yanked down her jeans and panties with one tug and groaned as he saw how wet she already was.
He nodded. “Yeah, much better, but now I’m starving.” He said with a grin before sinking down to feast.

A/N: Alright, I hope this chapter makes sense to people. It does to me but I somehow feel as though it is convoluted. And maybe it is but I hope you love it anyway. And hopefully, it’s still believable in the Supernatural universe.

“Dude, what the hell was that?” Sam glared at his brother.
“The truth.” Dean shrugged. Sam just gave a deadpanned look. “Come on, Sammy. Do you seriously believe that the kid is cut out for hunting?”
“She did save your life before in that vampire nest. So, I’d say yes, she is.” Sam started after his brother. “Seriously, what’s your problem with her?”
“My problem is she doesn’t look like a hunter, Sam.” Dean fished his keys out of his pockets. “And she sure as hell doesn’t act like one.” Sam sighed and shook his head. “And who the hell doesn’t drink on a weekday? After a hunt?”
“Seriously, Dean?”
“What? That’s how most hunters celebrate after a hunt.” Dean reminded him. “What does she think? That she’s above us?”
“She never said that.”
“Yeah, well, she didn’t need to.” He climbed in the driver’s seat. Sam pushed out a sigh before getting in the car.
You slammed the door to your motel room behind you. Your throat was clogged up, tears rushed out of your eyes. You dropped on your bed and stopped the first onslaught of sobs by pressing your hands against your mouth. Your body racked with sobs, but you remained quiet. Not wanting anyone to hear. For which you berated yourself for, no one could hear you anyway because you were alone.
They weren’t tears of sadness. They were tears of frustration and anger. You did not know how else to let out those emotions. You didn’t cry out of anger all the time. But it did happen at times. Most of the time, those tears were out of frustration. Frustration at how you had failed tonight. Frustration at how you let your fears overcome you. Frustration at how mad he sounded when he yelled at you.
You hated yelling.
“Stop being so overdramatic.” You wiped at your eyes furiously. “There is no reason for you to cry about this. Why are you like this?” You took in a shaky breath. “You’re okay. It’s okay.” Your hand rubbed at your chest, over your heart. As though, you were soothing the ache. “It’s okay. You’re okay.”
After a few minutes of repeating those words to yourself as a chant, your tears had died down. You washed your face and you did the only thing you could do. You took your focused back on the hunt. Dean Winchester was wrong. You knew what you were doing. And yes, you may have messed up but you were going to fix it. Like you always did.
The monster that attacked you was not a werewolf. Neither was it a skinwalker. It was something completely different, something you had never faced before. You opened your laptop and worked the case back from square one.
You took in consideration that the victims had all been attacked and bound before they died. Which you still didn’t understand why because that creature didn’t seem as though it needed its victim to be neutralized. It was quite powerful on its own. So, why restrained its victims?
While researching, you chased away any thoughts you may have about the Winchesters. Especially Dean. You didn’t understand why he disliked you so much. You had not done anything to him. You had remained polite and cordial when you first met. Nothing had happened that you could remember, that may have soured his opinion of you. To the point where instead of comforting you after you almost died, he snapped at you. Acting like an asshole.
“Leave this to us before you get yourself killed.” You grumbled under your breath. “Like you know better than I do. I saved your life and now, you’re talking to me like I’m a kid. What a gaping asshole!” You let out a frustrated sigh, tears pressing against your eyes. “It’s okay. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. You’re going to prove him wrong. Make him eat his words.”
And eat his word, he would.
You stayed up all night to research for a monster that would feed on hearts, that wouldn’t be a werewolf or a skinwalker. And the only thing you came across that could fit the bill, was from Egyptian mythology. A creature that was called Ammit, the Devourer of the Dead. It fit the bill but you still had your doubts. You did not get a good look at it and it was dark out. You weren’t sure that the creature resembled the drawings that portrayed Ammit. However, it could explain why the victims needed to be restrained for Ammit to feed on them.
Ammit, also known as the Devourer of the Dead, was believed to be a demon rather than a deity. During the Judgment of Dead, the heart of the deceased was weighed against the feather of Ma’at, the goddess of truth. If the heart was weighted less than the feather, they were ruled to be pure and allowed to enter paradise. If their heart was weighted more than the feather, they were ruled to be impure and their heart would be devoured by Ammit. Leaving them without a soul and to wander in Limbo. Stuck between the world of the living and the dead. Restless in eternity.
You knew the victims were still alive when their hearts had been ripped from their chests. You just didn’t know why or who would do this? And that was what you needed to find out. So, on no sleep and a pounding headache, you knocked on the door of the first victim’s house. You wanted to know more about the victims, know more about their last days, their habits. Knowing more about them would give you more insight as to why they were killed.
The victims were around the same age and being in the same small town, that could only mean they had grown up together. It seemed that other the years they had grown apart. So, nothing was linking them to one another before their deaths. One of the victim’s friend had even mention a falling out. But did not mention anything more than that. Nevertheless, you had found a pamphlet for an exhibit at the local museum. An ancient Egyptian exhibition. Which only reinforced your belief that Ammit was the monster that killed those people.
You made a quick stop to the local café; your sleepless night was catching up to you. You were struggling to keep your eyes open and your yawning to a minimum. You needed some help to keep your eyes open for the rest of the day. Especially since you were planning to go at the ancient Egyptian exhibit.
With your much needed coffee in hand, sunglasses back on your face, you walked out of the local café. You had barely made it out when your elbow was roughly grabbed by none other than Dean Winchester. The rage you had felt towards him had dwindled through the day but seeing him now, your frustration and anger flared back up.
“What do you think you’re doing?”
You ripped your elbow from his grasp and glared at him, from behind your dark tinted glasses. “Enjoying my coffee. What does it look like I’m doing?”
“You’re still working the case.” He retorted, jaw clenched and glaring at you.
You took a sip from your cup. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“She doesn’t—” Dean let out a frustrated sigh. “Listen, Princess, we are working the case and you talking to the vics’ families ain’t making things easy for us.”
You gave it a beat, playing with the lid of your cup. “I fail to see how this is my problem, Bucko. I mean how could I do such a thing? Clearly, you and your brother are professionals. Me talking to them shouldn’t get in the way, now, should it?” You took a step back away from them, “After all, you said it yourself, I don’t know what I’m doing.” You turned away from them and walked up to your car.
“It would be easier if we were working the case together, you know.” Sam suggested, following you. “Instead of getting in each other’s way.”
You fished out your keys. “Your brother wouldn’t agree to this.” You looked over at Dean, he was glaring at you still. “And frankly, I’d rather shoot myself in the foot than work with him. Best of luck to both of you.”
The exhibit was mostly about funerary rituals. Coincidentally, the first kill happened a few days after the exhibit had started. Meaning that the creature had come with the exhibit. Thanks to the guide, you learned that this was the first time the exhibit was put together by a young professor; Amanda Carlisle. She had gone out of town to college a few years back and made it big. She’d come back to make her hometown the first to see the exhibit she put together. Her parents were proud, and so was the whole town.
Unfortunately, as you moved to speak to the professor in question, two giants that stood out like sore thumbs in the middle of this exhibit, were already speaking with her. You glared at Dean as he sent a smug smile your way. Clearly, he was happy that he was one step ahead of you this time. You puffed out a frustrated sigh, you would not turn this into a competition with the Winchesters. Not if you could help it. You had much more important things to do.
Professor Carlisle was welcomed upon her return. A small-town girl that went to a prestigious college and came back successful. Plus, she was letting her home town benefit from that success of hers. Sharing the glory, so to speak. The victims were around her age too. Some may have been older of a few years but they were all around the same age. The victims and the professor had gone to school together. They might even have been friends. Except, they weren’t.
The best thing about small town was that everyone knew one another, and words got around fast. And it wouldn’t be too hard to get information from some the people, especially those who couldn’t wait to gossip. And boy, did they have a lot to tell you.
Amanda Carlisle was always a straight A student; it was no surprise for anyone that she would go far in life. But Amanda was never the popular kid. If her parents, her teachers and the rest of the town were proud of her, the other kids in her school did not exactly love her. You never quite understood the concept of bullying or why it happened. Was it jealousy or insecurity? Was it just because they didn’t like who she was or how she presented? No one really knew. However, it was clear for many people and known by the general public, they made her life a living hell.
And this was her revenge.
The shrill sound of your ringtone brutally pulled you out of your sleep. You blindly reached out for your phone on your bedside table.
“Yeah?” You answered groggily without checking the caller ID first. Your name was said on the other side of the line. “Sam? What’s going on?” You sat up, rubbing your eyes.
“I need your help.”
“And I don’t know what I’m doing.” You hissed at Sam as both of you walked to the back door of the museum.
“Seriously?” Sam turned to you.
“What? I’m allowed.” You talked back. “He gave me crap for being attacked. And now, he’s the one who got abducted. Don’t you think it’s a little ironic?”
Sam sighed. “It might be but—he wasn’t entirely wrong.”
You rounded on him, glaring. “Good luck on finding your brother—alone.”
“Okay, okay—” He stopped you from walking away. “He was wrong for yelling at you but I mean, you gotta admit that was pretty reckless on your part.”
You crossed your arms over your chest. “Yeah, well, not everyone has the luxury to have a hunting partner like you and your brother do.”
The growls of the creature reached your ears as you got closer to the office. The rattling of chains and muffled voices could be heard through the door that had been left ajar. Sam and you glanced at each other, grabbing your guns. Sam reached for the Ram’s horn in his bag, securing it. He had told you they already faced an Egyptian deity in the past, and the Ram’s horn had incapacitated the deity. With no real lore on how to stop Ammit, you went with his suggestion.
Dean was bound to a large table in the middle of the room. Ammit was held in a cage while Amanda looked at her lovingly.
“Let’s step away from the demon.” You aimed your gun at the professor. “And keep your hands where I can see them.”
Amanda turned to you slowly, wearing a smirk on her face. “I got him exactly where I want him.” She said as her eyes moved away from you over to Dean. “I know what he did to you.” Her eyes moved back to you. “He humiliated you, yelled at you. He deserves what’s coming to him.”
“Like they all did, right?” You countered.
“The poor girl tried to survive the aftermath of her humiliation but she couldn’t.” You frowned at her words. “She was too weak. She needed me. And so do you.”
With a flick of her hand, she opened the cage and unleashed Ammit. The demon pounced on you, tackling you to the ground. You fired your gun as you fell backwards. The wind got knocked out of your lungs. Ammit’s breath hit your face as you tried to push her away. Your gun had been knocked out of your hands.
“SAM,” You called, your voice strained. Ammit reared back as Sam stabbed it in the back. The demon writhed in pain, falling to the ground. Dean had been freed, was now fighting off Amanda. She shoved Dean away, his back hit one of the walls. Sam aimed his gun at her, without even lifting a finger, the gun flew out of Sam’s hands. She marched onto him, furious. She grabbed the lapels of his jacket and lifted him off of the ground. You turned to the creature on the ground, she was still writhing in pain. You moved to take out the Ram’s horn from her back.
“This is all your fault.” Amanda grabbed your shoulders as you turned to face her. She was furious, enraged. “I was trying to help you.”
“Yeah, I didn’t ask for it.” And you stabbed her in the neck with the Ram’s horn. Her eyes shone with purple lights, her body suddenly and quickly decaying, turning into a mummy, before she fell to the ground. And the demon vanished into thin air.
You threw your bag in the passenger seat, Sam and Dean were standing behind you. Sam cleared his throat before he nudged his brother.
“Look—”
“Don’t bother.” You shoved your hands in your pockets. “It’s already forgiven.”
“What?” Dean scrunched up his eyebrows.
“You were going to apologize, right?”
“Apologize for what?” Dean asked back.
“Oh, I don’t know, Bucko.” You shook your head. “Maybe for yelling at me in the woods. How about that?”
“So what? You can’t handle a little yelling?”
“I can handle yelling. Doesn’t mean I have to. Especially, after I almost got killed.” You glared at him.
“Well, someone has to tell you when you’re screwing up.” Dean stepped closer to you. “And you screwed up that night.”
“For the love of Aphrodite, you think you know better than me, don’t you?”
“Oh, Princess, I know better than you.” Dean continued. “And let me tell you, you’re not—”
“Alright, enough,” Sam placed himself between you and his brother. “Seriously—” Sam put a hand on your shoulder. “Thanks for your help.”
“You’re welcome.” You smiled at the youngest Winchester. “At least, one of you is appreciative.” You turned to Dean with a smirk. “Can’t say the same for everyone.” Dean rolled his eyes, letting out a groan. “Anyway, I gotta fly. And words of advice, you should do the same.”
Sam pulled you in a quick hug, catching you by surprise. “Call if you need anything.”
“Yeah, will do.” You smiled at him as he pulled away. You sent a nod Dean’s way. “Bucko.”
“Princess.” He answered in kind.
You climbed in your truck and drove off.
“You know I gotta give it to her.” Dean started as he and his brother walked to the Impala.
“What?”
“She ain't that bad."

Meeting the Winchesters - Dean and Sam Winchester
plot: meeting the Winchesters while working on a case and you decide to work together.
character: Dean Winchester x hunter! reader + Sam Winchester x hunter! reader
a/n: I've been looking through my old writings and trying to fix them up and post them again in here :)
There you were at a bar reading a file for the case you were working on, you didn't have an office because you weren't a lawyer or a police officer, not even a detective you were a hunter. Yes, that's right hunting things that were barely human, even humans don't believe in them but that's not important you needed to solve the case and get out of this town.
You tried to list all the things that could be the cost of this like demons or werewolves even shapeshifters and the list goes on, while you were reading you heard a man's voice next to you talking to the bartender
"Two beers sweetheart"
You glanced at the man he was handsome and had short brown hair with green eyes and he was wearing a suit the tie was a little loose like he just got out of work. He looked at you
"Well hello" he said to you
"Not interested" you said going back to reading the file.
"I didn't say anything" he tried to defend himself but he didn't get a reply from you, he raised his eyebrow and tried to get a look at the case file "You're working on this new case, right?"
You looked at him again with dead eyes "Do you need something?" you asked because if he kept bothering you, you would punch him in the face.
"Here are your drinks sir" the bartender said putting the two beers in front of him, he smiled at her.
"Thanks" then turned his attention back to you "I'm working on this case too" he extended his hand for you to shake "My name is Dean Winchester"
You raised your eyebrow "Wait Winchester as in John Winchester's kid?"
Now it was his turn to raise his eyebrow
"You know who my dad is?"
You smiled for the first time day "Dude John is the coolest person I've ever met"
He looked confused "I didn't catch your name"
You put down the file and extended your hand to him "My name is Y/N Y/L/N nice to meet ya"
he shook it.
"Cool, listen my brother and I are working on this case wanna join us and share what you got with us?"
You got your things "Sure"
He took the two beers and led you to a booth where a man was setting there with his laptop doing some research. "Hey Sam this is Y/N Y/L/N she'll be working with us on this case" he informed him.
Sam looked up from his laptop screen and smiled at you. He extended his hand "Nice to meet you Y/N" You shook his hand "You too" You sat down on the opposite side of the boys and talked for 3 hours about what you got on the case. After discussing the case you guys started telling stories.
"So Y/n how do you know our dad?" Dean asked after taking a sip from his beer Sam looked at Dean first then you.
"Wait you knew our dad?"
You laughed "Yeah I did. He and my dad were friends and worked a few cases together when I was like 10 I looked over a case file that was lying around and told my dad about my theory but my dad didn't want me near anything he said 'I won't raise you as a hunter' but that didn't really stop me so when I told him he yelled at me for even thinking about it then John said 'Hey the kid is not wrong it won't harm us if we go according to her theory' of course my dad yelled at him for encouraging me but I just smiled at him. After the hunt, he told me that I was right about it and that I would be great at whatever I would be doing in the future".
Dean smiled "So you were a nerd since you were a little kid?"
You hit him on his arm playfully "Shut up"
He raised his hands in the air laughing.
"Don't worry he calls me a nerd all the time" Sam said smiling
"Ok so tomorrow we will talk to the victims' families" You said you all agreed on meeting outside the first victim's house.
~~Time skips to after you solved the case~~
Turned out that crossroad demons were behind everything and you and the boys solved the case you were in the bar to celebrate.
"You guys really made a name for yourselves in this career" you said looking at the boys
"Yeah, how could you not" Dean replied
"So Y/n if your dad didn't want you to be a hunter what would you be doing now?" Sam asked
"Oh well maybe I would've been a fancy lawyer you know the one who gives people the creeps just by looking at them and well a very good one." you said smiling.
You look at your watch "Oh well I gotta get out of here" standing up and taking your bag.
"Where are you going?" Sam asked
"I got another case and I need to visit someone in New York"
Dean stood up "Well good luck out there" he hugged you
"Yeah, you too Winchester" You hugged Sam next
"It was great meeting you" he said
"Oh I know" you smirked
"Hope I see you two around Bye boys" and with that you got out of the bar and into your car and drove to the state line.

Brotherly Betrayal Part 2
Dean Winchester x Y/N x Sam Winchester
Warnings: cheating, angst, hurt, ...
Side note: English isn’t my first language.
This part is just pure pain and angst
*Does not follow The SPN storyline *
--
Recap part 1:
Sam didn’t seek for a new romance but when he met Y/N she seemed to have everything he wanted in a girl. After introducing her to his brother they recognise immediately each other from a spicy night together years ago.
After a year of fantasising about each other, one night they couldn’t resist the lust anymore, and give in. Y/N decided to leave Sam, Dean can’t stand to see his little brother heart broken.
--
The air hung heavy with silence, broken only by the soft hum of baby’s engine and the rhythmic tapping of Dean's fingers on the steering wheel. Sam sat slumped in the passenger seat, his eyes fixed on the road ahead, but his mind lost in the labyrinth of his thoughts.
It had been a month since Y/N, had shattered his world with these simple words: "I'm sorry, Sam, it’s best we go our separate ways." The pain was still fresh, like an open wound that refused to heal. He had tried to make sense of it all, to find some semblance of closure, why would she say she cheated, with who did she spend the night.
But the questions lingered like ghosts in the shadows.
Dean glanced at his brother, his heart heavy with concern. He knew Sam was hurting, "Sam," Dean began cautiously, "you know you can talk to me, right? Whatever's on your mind, I'm here for you."
Sam sighed heavily, his shoulders slumping even further. "I appreciate it, Dean, I really do. But I don't even know where to begin. It's like... I thought we were happy, you know?”
Dean nodded sympathetically, his grip tightening on the wheel. He had seen Sam at his lowest, had watched him weather the storms of heartbreak before. But this time felt different. Probably because Dean felt guilty.
"Did she say why she ended things?" Dean asked gently, afraid, his voice barely above a whisper.
Sam shook his head, his jaw clenched in frustration. "No, not really. Just... that she hadn’t been faithful, and that said she needed space, needed time to figure things out. But I can't help but wonder... was it something I did? Something I said?"
Dean watched the road ahead, the headlights cutting through the darkness like a beacon in the night. "I know this is tough, but you got to believe me when I say it wasn't your fault. Y/N's a great girl, but sometimes people just... drift apart. It doesn't mean you did anything wrong."
Sam nodded slowly, his gaze fixed on the passing scenery outside the window. "I know you're trying to help, Dean. And I appreciate it, I really do. But I can't shake this feeling, you know? Like there's something I'm missing, something she's not telling me."
Dean's heart clenched at the pain in his brother's voice, the anguish that echoed in every word. He wanted to tell Sam the truth, wanted to confess the role he had played in Y/N's betrayal. But the guilt weighed heavy on his conscience, a burden he wasn't sure he could bear.
"Sam," Dean said carefully, choosing his words with utmost caution, "did Y/N ever mention... not being happy? Like, was there something she felt was missing in your relationship?"
Sam furrowed his brow, his mind racing to recall the countless conversations he had shared with Y/N over the past year. "I mean, she mentioned just... you know, normal relationship stuff."
"I need you to listen to me, okay? And I need you to believe me when I say... Y/N wasn't entirely honest with you." Sam's eyes widened in surprise, his gaze snapping to meet Dean's in the dim light of the car. "What do you mean? What did she say?"
Dean hesitated, rubbing his neck. But he knew there was no turning back now, knew that the truth would set them free, no matter how painful it might be. ”I eh, heard her talking to Charlie before.
His voice filled with remorse, "Y/N... she missed the intimacy, man. And when you couldn't give her what she needed, I guess, she... found it somewhere else. I'm sorry, Sam," Dean said quietly, his voice heavy with guilt, "I should've told you sooner.”
The Impala rolled to a stop in front of a motel, its neon sign flickering feebly against the backdrop of the night sky. Sam stepped out of the car, his footsteps heavy with exhaustion and resignation. He trudged towards the motel room, his mind still reeling from the revelations of the past hour.
Dean lingered by the trunk of the car, his eyes fixed on the dimly lit window of the motel room across the parking lot. He knew what he had to do. As Sam disappeared into the shadows of the motel, Dean reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone.
He scrolled through the contacts until he found Y/N's number, his thumb hovering uncertainly over the call button.
"Hello?" "Y/N," Dean said evenly, his voice steady despite the turmoil raging within him, "we need to talk."
There was a moment of tense silence on the other end of the line, the static crackling like electricity between them. Then, finally, Y/N spoke, her voice soft and hesitant. "Dean...What... Why are you calling me?" she asked, her words tinged with uncertainty.
"I want you to do the right thing," Dean said firmly, his grip tightening on the phone. "I want you to give my brother another chance."
Y/N's breath caught in her throat, the weight of Dean's words hanging heavy in the air between them. "Dean, I... I don't know if that's possible. Things became too complicated."
Dean clenched his jaw, his frustration bubbling to the surface like a volcano on the verge of eruption. "Complicated or not, Y/N, you owe it to Sam to try. He loves you, damn it. And he deserves better than to be left wondering what went wrong."
“Don’t blame me for everything Dean! Last I checked you were there with me.” He knew she was right, he knew that his own actions had played a role.
"I know," Dean said softly, his voice heavy with remorse. "I know I messed up, Y/N. I should've never let things go as far as it did. But that doesn't change the fact that Sam deserves better than to be left in the dark."
“If you really believe he needs the truth, you tell him you slept with his girl, I think he is hurt enough. ” she hangs up the phone. For a moment, Dean was frozen in place, she was right, he didn’t have the guts to tell him. Little did Sam nor Y/N knew Dean chose this motel, the one close to Y/N’s workplace.
--
The morning sun cast a warm glow over the diner, its cheery facade belying the tension that hung heavy in the air. Sam and Dean sat at a booth near the window, their plates untouched as they waited for the waiter, seeing how Y/N emerged from the kitchen.
Dean glanced up as he saw her approach, his heart skipping a beat at the sight of her. She looked tired, her eyes red-rimmed and weary, but there was a steely determination in her gaze that he couldn't help but admire.
Y/N hesitated as she reached their table, her hands trembling slightly as she clutched her notepad to her chest. "What can I get for you guys?" she asked, her voice strained but polite.
Sam glanced up at her, surprised but his gaze searching her face for, hoping she would meet his eyes. "Just coffee, thanks," he said quietly, his voice tinged with sadness.
Y/N nodded, her movements jerky as she scribbled their order on her pad. "Coming right up," she said, her voice barely above a whisper as she hurried back towards the kitchen.
Dean watched her go, his heart heavy with guilt and regret. He knew he had put her in an impossible position, had forced her to confront the consequences of their actions head-on. As Y/N returned with their coffee, Sam watched Y/N closely, his heart heavy with longing and uncertainty. "Y/N," Sam said softly, his voice tinged with desperation, "can we talk? Please?"
Y/N's eyes flickered with apprehension, her gaze darting nervously between Sam and Dean as she searched for a way out. "Sam, I... I can't," she said hesitantly, her voice trembling with emotion. "I'm at work, and I just... I can't do this right now."
As Y/N disappeared back into the kitchen, Sam was left alone with his thoughts.
--
After her shift she walked to the nearest motel, knowing the brothers would be staying there. She saw how Sam walked out the door. Knowing him, going for a walk to ease his mind.
The sharp rap on the door jolted Dean from his thoughts. He swung the door open, expecting to see Sam standing on the other side, but instead found himself face-to-face with Y/N, her expression stormy and her eyes ablaze with anger.
"Y/N," Dean said, taken aback by her sudden appearance, "what are you doing here?"
Y/N's jaw clenched in frustration, her fists balled at her sides as she glared at Dean with unbridled fury. "I can't believe you guys would show up at my work like that," she spat, her voice dripping with disdain.
"You can't just barge in here and expect me to drop everything just for your needs," she snapped, her voice rising with each word. "I have a job to do, Dean.” "I know I messed up, Y/N," Dean said softly, his voice tinged with remorse. "And I'm sorry for that. But we need to talk. You and Sam need to. We need to clear the air, to put an end to his pain and uncertainty."
"Okay, you want to talk.” She said still angry “Let's talk." Y/N crossed her arms. “Tell me Dean, the real reason you showed up uninvited after me telling you to let me be.”
"The real reason?" Dean repeated, his voice steady despite the turmoil raging within him. "The real reason is because we care about you, Y/N. We care about what happens to you, and I couldn't just stand by and watch you push Sammy away."
Y/N's eyes narrowed at Dean's response, her arms still crossed tightly over her chest. "Is that so?" she said sceptically, her voice laced with bitterness. "Or is it because you couldn't stand the thought of me moving on without you?"
Dean winced at the accusation, the sting of her words cutting through him like a knife. "Y/N, it's not like that," he protested, “I-I’m trying to make things right."
"And I appreciate that. But it's not that simple. It's not just about saying sorry and expecting everything to go back to the way it was, you don't get to barge into my life and expect me to welcome you with open arms after everything that's happened."
Y/N took a deep breath “Look me in the eyes, Dean. And tell me you want me to get back together with Sam. Tell me you’re here for his feelings instead of your own.” Her eyes stared in his.
With a heavy sigh, he met her gaze, his eyes filled with a mixture of vulnerability and determination. "Y/N," Dean began, his voice soft but resolute, "that night... it meant something to me. More than I can put into words."
"I'm falling for you," Dean admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. Dean reached out, his hand trembling slightly as he gently cupped Y/N's cheek. "But Sam will always be my brother, Y/N, I will always put him first." he said sincerely.
Y/N's eyes brimmed with tears "Dean" she whispered shaking her head, her voice barely audible over the pounding of her heart. “Shh.” his thumb tracing circles on her cheek as he leaned in closer. "You don't have to say anything" he said gently.
"Y/N," Dean said softly, his voice thick with emotion, “I will push my own feelings away. Just... just give Sammy another chance.” Y/N reached out, her hand trembling as she gently brushed her fingers against Dean's hand on her face. "Dean, I ran away not because of what happened between us that night," she confessed,
Her voice barely above a whisper. "I ran away because... because I'm falling for you, too." Dean's heart skipped a beat at her words, the realization dawning on him that their feelings for each other ran deeper than either of them had dared to admit.
His head leaning in until it was just inches away from Y/N's. With a soft exhale, he let his forehead rest against hers, their breath mingling in the small space between them.
"Y/N, I..." Dean began, his voice faltering as he struggled to find the right words. Her eyes brimmed with tears, her heart breaking at the pain in Dean's voice.
Y/N's fingers found their way to Dean's cheek, her touch gentle and reassuring as she caressed his stubbled jawline. Dean closed his eyes, allowing himself to bask in the warmth of her touch, the closeness of her presence.
"Dean, please," she pleaded, her voice tinged with desperation. "I don't want to hurt Sam any more than I already have. But I can't ignore what happened between us. ”
Dean's heart plummeted like a stone in his chest as he felt a cold wave of panic wash over him. Slowly, he pulled away from Y/N, his gaze shifting towards the doorway where his brother stood, his expression unreadable.
Sam's eyes flickered between Dean and Y/N, his jaw clenched in a tight line as he took in the scene before him. For a moment, silence hung heavy in the air, broken only by the sound of their ragged breaths echoing in the small space.
"Sam," Dean began, his voice trembling with apprehension, "I... we can explain."
Sam's eyes betraying the storm of emotions raging within him. He took a step into the room, his gaze never leaving Dean's as he spoke, his voice low and steely.
"I think I've heard enough," Sam said quietly, his words like a dagger to Dean's heart. "I'll leave you two alone." With a heavy heart, Sam turned on his heel and disappeared from the room, leaving Dean and Y/N alone in the wake of his departure.
"Sam, wait!" Y/N called out, her voice thick with emotion. Sam paused in his tracks, his back still turned towards her. Sam, please," Y/N pleaded, her voice trembling with urgency. "Let me explain."
Sam turned to face her, his eyes weary but filled with a flicker of hope. "Explain what, Y/N?" he asked quietly, “How you forget to mention you slept with my brother? That's worse than being cheated on.”
"I'm sorry, Sam," she said softly, tears glistening in her eyes. "Sam, I..." Y/N began, her voice catching in her throat as she struggled to find the right words. "I didn't mean for it to happen. It was a mistake, a moment of weakness."
Sam's expression hardened, his jaw clenched in frustration. "A mistake?" he repeated, his voice tinged with bitterness. "You call sleeping with my brother a mistake? But you just confessed you’re love for him!" He points at their room.
Y/N winced at the harshness in Sam's tone, the guilt and remorse swirling within her like a tempest. "Sam, I'm sorry," she whispered, tears welling in her eyes. "I never meant to hurt you. I never meant for any of this to happen."
Sam's gaze softened slightly at the sight of Y/N's tears, his own heart heavy with conflicting emotions. "Y/N," he said softly, his voice tinged with sadness, "I don't know what to do. I don't know how to feel."
Y/N reached out, her hand trembling as she gently trying to grab Sam's arm, but he pulled away "Sam, please," she pleaded, her voice filled with desperation. "Please don't shut Dean out. Please give me and him a chance to make things right."
"I don't know if I can," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Sam," she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper, "do you want me to leave, tell me what I need to do, what you need?"
Sam's gaze softened at her words, his heart aching with the pain of their fractured relationship. He reached out, his hand finding hers and squeezing it gently. Sam replied quietly, his voice tinged with sadness, "I don't want you to leave. But I need some time to think. And then I need to talk to Dean."
--
Dean and Y/N sat in silence on the end of the bed waiting for Sam to return.
When he walked in the room Y/N gave a soft hurt smile to Sam and left the room to take a walk in the cold night. Leaving the brothers, giving time to talk.
Sam's voice cut through the tense silence, his eyes fixed on Dean with a mixture of curiosity and apprehension. "Dean," he began, his voice steady but tinged with emotion, "I need you to promise you’ll be honest with me. I need you to tell me, everything Dean.”
“Starting with, why... why Y/N?"
Dean's heart clenched at the question, the weight of Sam's gaze bearing down on him. He took a deep breath. "I wish I could give you a simple answer. But the truth is... it's complicated."
Sam's brow furrowed in confusion, his expression a mixture of frustration and disbelief. "Complicated how?" he pressed, his tone tinged with urgency.” You know we had a... a night together years before you met her, right.”
Sam nodded. "And since the moment you introduced me to Y/N, she's been on my mind. Constantly. 24/7. I couldn’t stop thinking about that night Sammy." Dean scratched his neck not knowing is continuing was the right thing to do.
"When Charlie came over, I overheard Y/N talking about her sex life." Sam's eyes widened in surprise, his brow furrowing in confusion. "What do you mean?" he asked, his voice tinged with apprehension.
Dean hesitated, his mind racing as he struggled to find the right words. "Y/N mentioned how different we were. She compared the two of us." he explained carefully, "and how she wasn't really happy, now.”
He met his brother's gaze, his eyes filled with sincerity and remorse. “And then the three of us watched a movie together. And... and when Charlie left, we stayed for another movie and then... I kissed her.”
“Is that when...” Sam couldn’t finish that question. “No, she stopped it and took off. We were distant for a while.” Sam nodded, remembering the awkward tension in the bunker. “So, when?” Dean searched his face, trying to see if he really wanted to know.
“The night after the bar, you two went home early together, you fell asleep when Y/N dressed up all sexy for you..." Dean began, his voice faltering as he recounted the events of that fateful evening, "I got home earlier, Y/N was in the kitchen, upset, couldn’t sleep, still in the babydoll dress.”
Dean swallowed before continuing. “She was surprised to see I came home. I told her I didn’t sleep with that girl from the bar, I couldn’t, I thought of her all the time. And she said you fell asleep before... That's when it happened. Y/N and I... we... "
Dean couldn't finish his sentence “Just once, Sammy.” “Yeah,” he looked at the floor.” Because she left the day after.”
After a deep sigh Sam continued "I trusted you, Dean," his voice breaking with the weight of his betrayal. "I trusted both of you." Dean felt his heart shatter at the pain in Sam's voice, the guilt and remorse consuming him like a wildfire. "Sam, I'm sorry, I never meant to hurt you. I never meant for any of this to happen."
“But, you have to believe me she means more to me than just another one-night plaything. I wouldn’t have done it if it was just sex. I tried to fight it I really did. But I guess we had a little too much to drink to hold back.”
But Sam shook his head, his gaze filled with a mixture of anger and hurt. "I don't know if I can forgive you for this, Dean," he said quietly,
“I’m eh, going to go away for a while. I need time to think. I need you two to give me some space.” Sam said getting up ready to leave. “I’ll eh stay at Jody’s for a while.”
Dean nodded and watched his brother leave the room.

Read Piece by Piece Pt. 7 here.
Three months. That’s how long Dean had been back in your life. And when he was there it was great. He was always so careful to divide his time up between the two of you, taking you both out individually then spending time together as a family. M.K. loved her daddy-daughter dates more than anything and seeing them together made your heart melt every time. Once she was in bed, Dean would spend the rest of the night making you feel like you were the only girl in the world. It was almost perfect.
But he wasn’t always there. You knew it was going to be difficult, him coming and going. What you hadn’t counted on was how worried you were every time he left. You found yourself praying to whoever or whatever was listening every night for him and for Sam and even for Bobby, whom you’d never even met. You and M.K. would wait by the phone at night for him to call and say he was safe. On the few nights he was too busy to call, you’d both turn into bed for a sleepless night.
You’re standing in the kitchen now, staring into your mug of coffee. Thankfully, M.K. wasn’t awake yet. You were hoping she’d sleep a few more hours. She’d been so excited for Dean to come in last night. You had been too. But after she’d gone to bed, he’d been forced to leave in a rush. Some apocalyptic emergency. You couldn’t be mad. At least that’s what you were trying to tell yourself.
A knock on the front door draws your attention. Sighing, you set the mug down on the counter before going into the front hall. You can see the top of your best friend’s head through the window of the door and you manage a small smile.
“You know most people would consider it rude for someone to knock on their door at 6 AM on a Saturday,” you tell her once you’ve got the door open. Lily smiles back at you, apologetically.
“I was out on my morning run when I saw your kitchen light on and the distinct lack of a certain black car in the driveway. Thought you might want some company,” she says. You step aside, inviting her in. You move into the kitchen together and she makes herself at home, fixing her own coffee as you take a seat at the counter. She smiles as she stirs the sugar into her coffee. “Roses and chocolates? Guess it started as a good night.” You look at the bouquet of flowers you’d gotten into a vase last night and the heart shaped box of chocolates lying next to it.
“It did. He even brought some for M.K.,” you tell her. “And he gave me this too.” You hold up the necklace around your neck, looking at her. She smiles a little and nods before walking over.
“So you told him?” She asks. You avert your eyes to your coffee cup again quickly. “You didn’t tell him?”
“He got an emergency call from work before I could,” you confess, swirling your coffee slowly. You watch it spiral around the cup as the preceding night washes back over you.
************************************************************************
You and M.K. had settled into the couch, knowing neither of you were going to be able to sleep. It was almost 10 and Dean hadn’t called yet. Since it was a Friday night, you hadn’t been in any hurry to get your daughter off to bed., so you’d popped a bag of popcorn and were currently in the middle of Madagascar 2. M.K. had actually managed to pass out just a few minutes earlier so you reach for the remote carefully to turn off the movie.
The doorbell rings before you can hit the button. You freeze and frown quickly. It was way too late for any visitors. M.K. sits up slowly, rubbing her eyes.
“Was that the doorbell?” She asks, sleepily. You shush her and nod, rising to your feet. Quietly, you peek through the curtains.
Your pulse picks up instantly when you spot the familiar black car sitting in the driveway behind yours. But something wasn’t right. Dean had a key. He had no reason to ring the doorbell. Your mind starts to race as you rush to the door. Sam was here to tell you that Dean had been killed in a hunt. It was the only logical explanation.
You throw the door open, trying to fight back the tears and stare at what’s waiting on the other side. All you can really see are a couple of jean-clad bowlegs and two arms full of flowers, candy boxes, and a large teddy bear. You blink then break into a wide smile.
“Happy Valentine’s Day!!” Dean’s voice calls from behind the gifts. You start to laugh, relief washing over you, as M.K. comes into the hall.
“Daddy!!” She practically squeals. You can hear Dean laugh as he steps through the front door. You reach to help him, taking the flowers, and can finally see his smiling face.
“Sorry I’m late. You wouldn’t believe how hard it is to find flowers at the last minute on Valentine’s Day,” he says. You shake your head then lean in and kiss him quickly, grateful he’s alive. He winks at you then walks into the kitchen, setting everything down on the table. Turning to face M.K., he holds his arms open and she jumps up into a tight hug. “Miss me?”
“So much!!” She says, grinning from ear to ear. He kisses her cheek then turns to the table again. She looks at all the stuff then up at him and bites her lip. “Is any of that for me?” She asks. Dean laughs and sets her down. He picks up the bear, the smaller box of chocolates, and bouquet of six daises.
“Happy Valentine’s Day, Baby girl,” he says, kneeling down in front of her. She squeals in delight and you shake your head as you make your way over to the sink. You pull out two vases from the space beneath it and start to prepare the water for hers.
“Thank you so much!!” She tells him, hugging him again. He laughs and plants a kiss on top of her head before standing up.
“Bring me the flowers and tell him about what happened at school today,” you say. Dean raises an eyebrow at you and you smirk as she runs the daises over to you.
“Craig asked me to be his Valentine,” M.K. says. You glance up at Dean, watching his jaw clench, and fight a laugh as you arrange the flowers in the vase for her.
“What did you tell him?” Dean asks. M.K. smiles over at him widely.
“That I already had a Valentine,” she says. Dean frowns slightly and she giggles. “You, Daddy!!” He breaks into a wide grin and you can’t help but laugh.
“That’s my girl,” he says, winking down at her. You smile and hand her the vase.
“Why don’t you and Daddy take everything up to your room and he can go ahead and tuck you in for the night?” You suggest. She frowns and shakes her head quickly.
“He just got here!! I don’t want to go sleep!! I’m not even tired!!” She says. Dean clears his throat and she looks over at him.
“Listen to your mom. Besides I’ll still be here in the morning. Promise,” he says. She thinks for a moment then nods, starting for the stairs with her flowers. Dean picks up the bear and chocolates again before looking at you. “I’ll be back for you soon.”
“Thanks for the warning,” you tell him, smirking. He laughs and runs up the stairs after M.K. You smile and shake your head, making your way over to the table. You pick up the roses and chocolates that are left and move them to the counter. Carefully, you snip the ends off each of the roses then arrange them in the vase.
You were incredibly grateful that Dean had managed to make it this weekend. He’d missed last weekend, swearing he’d be here in time for your first Valentine’s Day. But it wasn’t just the holiday you had been looking forward to. You’d had something to tell him for a couple weeks now and hadn’t had the chance. You couldn’t help but be nervous.
You’re standing at the sink, filling the vase with water, when something cold slips around your neck. You reach up and gingerly run your fingers over the small object. You bring it up enough to see the diamond shaped heart and gasp. Looking back, you find Dean smiling at you softly as he clicks the clasp of the necklace closed.
“This is too much, Dean,” you say, shaking your head. He leans in, kissing just below your ear.
“It’s actually not enough,” he murmurs, moving your hair aside. You lay your head back against his shoulder, your eyes fluttering closed as he continues to ghost kisses down your neck.
“You didn’t have to get us anything. Just showing up was a gift in itself,” you tell him. His breath washes over you as he chuckles.
“Gotta make sure my girls are taken care of,” he says, reaching over to turn the water off. You look up to find that the vase was overflowing. Dean pours some of the water out then looks down at you. “Where do you want them?”
“Just on the counter is fine for now,” you tell him. He nods and sets the vase down next to the chocolates. You push yourself up onto the counter behind you and bite your lip. “I have a surprise for you too.” He turns slowly and raises an eyebrow as he smirks. “Not that kind of surprise,” you say, rolling your eyes. He laughs and walks back across the kitchen to you. His hands come to your waist, pulling you closer to him.
“It can wait,” he says, his lips finding your neck again. You sigh as his mouth works over your pulse point. One of his hands comes to the front of your jeans, easily popping the button undone. You shake your head, trying to regain your thoughts, and push on his shoulders gently.
“No, Dean. It can’t,” you say. He looks at you and frowns quickly.
“Is something wrong? Is M.K. still being bullied? Have you met someone else?” He asks, panic flashing in his eyes. You smile and takes his face in your hands, kissing him quickly.
“Nothing’s wrong. Claire hasn’t bothered M.K. anymore. And there is never going to be someone else, Dean,” you tell him. He lets out a breath and nods slightly.
“What is it then?” He asks. Your voice catches in your throat, your nerves getting the best of you. What if he panics? Just a few simple words with such big meaning that could change everything you had the moment you said them. You look up at into his eyes and just like that your nerves fade away. Dean’s looking down at you with that same care and concern he did the first night he’d picked you up on the side of the road. You take a deep breath.
“I –,”
“Dean,” a strange man’s voice says from the other side of the kitchen. Your eyes widen and you feel Dean tense up instantly. He closes his eyes and grits his teeth.
“I told you to never come here, Cas. I actually told you that if any of you came here, I’d kill you,” he says, an anger in his voice you’d never heard before. You look over his shoulder slowly to find a man in a trenchcoat standing by your dining room table. Castiel, the angel. Dean had told you about him before. He was the one who had pulled Dean from Hell.
“Hello, Y/N,” he says. Dean spins on his heels and shields you from his view quickly. You frown and place a hand on his back gently, trying to calm him down. You weren’t sure your house could handle a fight between Dean and an angel. His muscles relax slightly under your touch and when he speaks again his voice is calmer.
“What is it, Cas?” He asks. The angel glances at you then looks back at Dean.
“An emergency,” he says plainly. Dean rolls his eyes and crosses his arms. Cas sighs. “Dean.” His eyes cut to you once more and Dean frowns before nodding his head. He turns back to face you.
“I gotta go, Sweetheart,” he says. You stare at him and shake your head slightly.
“No, but –,” you start but Dean cuts you off with a quick kiss.
“I know. It’s Valentine’s Day and I promised M.K. I’d still be here in the morning but I’ll come back as soon as I can. We’ll celebrate then and I’ll make it up to her,” he says, backing towards the kitchen door. You stare at him in disbelief as he leaves the kitchen, Castiel following him. The front door opens then shuts.
“I’m pregnant,” you announce quietly to no one at all.

Lily frowns as she listens to you recount the story to her. You edit it, of course, leaving out the parts about the angel and apocalypse. You’re absentmindedly playing with the necklace around your neck by the time you finish. She sighs and sets her cup of coffee to the side.
“So his boss called and he just up and left? What does he do again?” She asks. You frown and shake your head, looking at the roses next to you.
“It’s complicated,” you tell her. That was the only answer you ever gave her and it wasn’t exactly a lie. She rolls her eyes and crosses her arms. “I can’t explain it, Lily. But it’s important stuff.”
“And you’re sure he isn’t married?” She asks. It’s your turn to roll your eyes now.
“No, Lily. He isn’t married. He just works a lot,” you tell her. She nods then opens your heart-shaped box of chocolates. Most of them were already gone and the rest have been pinched to reveal their center.
“You already eat all these?” She asks, looking up at you quickly.
“I didn’t get any sleep,” you confess. “Help yourself.” She nods and picks one up, popping it in her mouth quickly.
“So he still doesn’t know?” She asks, covering her mouth as she chews. You shake your head then frown when you hear footsteps upstairs.
“Dammit,” you mumble, glancing towards the stairs. M.K. comes running down and bounds into the kitchen. Lily smiles at her widely.
“Good morning, Rugrat!!” She says. M.K. smiles back at her then looks around. Her smile falls slowly as she looks at you.
“Did Daddy go to the store?” She asks, hopeful. You sigh and shake your head.
“He had to leave,” you tell her. Her bottom lip quivers for a moment.
“But he promised,” she says, her voice thick with tears. You hold your arms open and she runs over. Pulling her up into your lap, you wrap your arms around her tight.
“I know he did. But remember, he has very important work to do. People to save,” you tell her. She nods as she cries into your chest. You rock her for a moment then kiss the top of her head. “Wanna try and call him?” She nods again and you pick up your phone, sending a quick prayer up that he’ll actually answer. You quickly find his name in your contacts and put the phone to your ear. It rings once…twice…three times…
“Hey,” Dean’s voice comes over the line. He sounds tired and you bite your lip.
“This a bad time?” You ask, glancing down at M.K. She’s practically bouncing as she waits.
“Course not,” he tells you quickly. You smile at her.
“Well I have a certain someone who is rather upset that you aren’t here this morning,” you tell him. He sighs and you bite your lip.
“Put her on,” he says. You hand her the phone and watch as she wipes at her eyes with the back of her hands.
“Daddy? – You promised,” she says into the phone. “I know. – I know. – I know.” She slides out of your lap and leaves the kitchen with your phone still in her hand. You watch her go then look back at Lily as she eats another of the chocolates.
“You gonna tell him now?” She asks. You shake your head quickly.
“I’m not telling him over the phone,” you tell her. She sighs and looks into the box of candy.
“You are going to tell him, right?” She asks. You roll your eyes and sit up, picking up one of the caramels you had left.
“No, I just thought I’d wait another 11 years since it worked so well the first time,” you say. “Of course I’m going to tell him. But you don’t just tell someone over the phone that you’re pregnant with his second child.”
“I told Nick I was pregnant with Manda over the phone,” she says, shrugging. You smile and shake your head.
“Because Nick was overseas at the time and wasn’t coming home for six more months. Dean should be back in the next day or so and I’ll tell him then,” you say. She nods slightly as she picks up one of the chocolates and examines it closely.
“And you’re sure he won’t disappear?” She asks. You reach across the counter quickly, stealing the candy from her hand.
“He won’t,” you say, confidently. She laughs and nods.
“Good. I’d hate to have to kill Mr. Important-Work-To-Do,” she says. You smile and shake your head. M.K. comes back in, any trace of sadness evaporated completely, and hands the phone back to you. Seeing it’s still connected, you place it to your ear, standing from your stool.
“All better?” You ask as you leave the kitchen to go to your room.
“I’m forgiven. By her at least,” he says. You smile softly as you walk into the bedroom.
“I’m not mad,” you tell him, falling onto the bed.
“Maybe not. But I’m still sorry,” he says. You sigh and close your eyes.
“It’s fine, Dean. I understand. The world needs saving,” you tell him. You hear him sigh this time then he’s quiet for a moment.
“What was it you wanted to tell me?” He asks. Your hand comes to your stomach. You were only about a month and a half along so you weren’t showing and you wouldn’t be for a little while.
“It can wait till you’re back,” you say.
“It couldn’t wait a couple of hours last night but it can wait until I’m back home?” He asks. Your eyes shoot open.
“Home?” You ask. The line is silent for a few seconds before he answers.
“Yea, home. Ya know, that place you and our daughter are,” he says, confused by your question. He didn’t realize it but it was the first time he’d ever referred to you and M.K. and the house as home. In that instant, any doubts you’d had about Dean and the baby are gone. You were his home. “Y/N? You okay?”
“I’m great,” you tell him, trying to hide the emotion in your voice. “I’m just tired. I think I’m gonna see if Lily can take M.K. for a few hours so I can get some sleep.”
“I know the feeling. I was on the road all night,” he says. You nod and roll onto your side, closing your eyes again.
“Well, be careful,” you say.
“Always am. Get some sleep, Sweetheart. I’ll see you in a few days, hopefully,” he says.
“I can’t wait,” you tell him. There’s a long pause, words left unspoken. While they’re never actually said, you know you feel them. You know he feels them. Actions speak louder than words and Dean always shows you just how much you mean to him. You were each other’s homes.
“Bye,” he says, his voice soft before he hangs up. You lay the phone on the nightstand beside your bed and sigh, snuggling into the pillow. You would tell Dean as soon as he came back home to you and he’d be overjoyed. The four of you would be an even happier family.

Sam blinked slowly in the dark, surprised at the light coming from the door and sitting up, quickly looking for the baby monitor to check if any of the kids were awake, seeing them fast asleep in their big crib.
He was surprised, however, when he turned around and realised Dean and Dittie were cuddling and Thea were nowhere to be seen.
Their new bed was just their old beds shoved together, though they were looking into finding a bigger mattress and bed frame, one that fit all four of them.
It was strange, how much Dittie and Dean just transitioned from friends to partners and a full on couple easily. It was like they were waiting for that since they met, and while he was okay with that - he wanted that to happen - it bothered a bit that his relationship with The was absolutely not on that same place.
They were good friends, yes, and their sex life was amazing. But there was a little bit of awkwardness there, they didn't know where to step and what to do to one another when they weren't fucking.
He put himself on his feet, and walked out of the bedroom, checking on the kids in the nursery before moving downstairs to go see what Athena was doing.
He heard some noise, with chairs moving and squeaking and stuff dropping, and frowned in confusion when he realised what was happening, and Thea was about to climb onto stacked chairs, playing fucking dominoes with it to try and get to the higher shelves.
"Hey!" he rushed to her, holding her by the waist and carrying her out of the way. "What are you doing?"
"I'm hungry and small," she pouted, looking clearly tired. "I want the stuff on the top shelf."
Sam knew what was on the top shelf, he was the one he put them there. Everything was Dean's idea, all of the sugary and processed stuff his brother bought, cause Sam was stupid enough to leave his brother alone with the kids and their wives in the grocery shop.
He only let the pups have sugar for special occasions and sometimes for dessert, and to make sure no one would get to it - except for Dean, because Dean would always do it - he put it up there.
Sam didn't worry too much about the girls' diets, they were always eating healthy and with some special treats, but with them pregnant, he didn't want them to have any of that shit! During pregnancy, it was important Omegas had a good nutritious diet.
But tired and hungry Thea was... very cranky Thea. And she didn't look like she was going to take any of his reasoning right now. With Dittie, he could argue and get her to accept his point of view, but Thea's attitude wasn't something he was open to going against.
"I'll get it," he sighed. "You better brush your teeth after this."
Thea scoffed, crossing her arms and sitting down on the nearest chair.
"I want the chips and gummy bears," she remarked.
Sam shook his head, reaching for both the snacks, and looked over at her for an opinion over the two different chips.
"Vinegar, please," she requested.
He picked the snacks up and offered it to her, fixing the chairs around the table and watching her walking into the living room, ready to go back to bed.
He was just about to take the stairs when she called his names.
"Sam?" she asked, a little soft. "Can you stay?"
He stood for the briefest of seconds, surprised, but nodded quickly, walking to her.
"Of course."
Sam walked back to the couch and sat down, spreading one of his arms when she learn in his direction, cuddling to him and opening her chips before turning the TV on.
Yeah, it was best to not stay between her and her vinegar chips.
"You know, I can make some homemade version of those," he offered. "For you."
Thea looked up at him, big brown eyes analysing his face silently, and Sam had to hold back a deep breath.
Sometimes, just sometimes, he just wanted to hear her thoughts, to see what was behind her eyes.
She just chuckled and giggled very softly.
"How would you even have the time, Sam?"
He shrugged. Was that what she thought of him? That he didn't have time for her?
"I will always make time for my..." he stopped, and corrected himself. "You girls."
My girls...
Were they his girls? Sure, Dittie was his girl, and Thea was his Omega too, but... it was... he didn't know.
Sam looped his arm around her, moving his fingers over her belly, already mesmerised about their baby. They were still in their early stage, the first trimester, but he was just imagining how it would be to see them grown, to find out if they were a boy or a girl, or turned out to be more than just one baby again.
He was so distracted he didn't even realise something was wrong until Thea started pulling away.
"Hey," he sat up straight. "Is everything alright?"
Thea nodded, already done with the chips and opening the dummy bears.
"Yeah, it's just my back," she mumbled.
His cheeks felt hot and red as Sam flushed.
"I can give you a massage?" he offered, a little unsure.
Thea turned to him with her eyes even bigger, curious.
"I'll be back," he pressed a kiss to her temple, walking out to get some pillows and using a neck pillow to put under her belly.
Thea was chewing when he came back, looking curious, but stood up for him to reorganise the pillows.
"Do I take off my shirt?" she asked, raising her eyebrows.
He licked his lips.
"Uh..." he looked for words. "Yes, yes. That would work."
As if he hadn't seen her butt naked. As if he hadn't made her ride his face in the car, if he hadn't fucked a baby into her.
Sam watched silently as she put her gummies and took off her shirt - one of Dean's shirts, actually, and the only piece she was wearing aside from some old and comfortable underwear -before lying down and getting comfortable.
"Ready?" he asked, watching her soft and smooth back, a little tanned from playing outside with the kids.
"Ready," she whispered, turning her head to look at him over her shoulder.
Sam breathed in and stepped closer to her, moving his fingers to massage her muscles and peeking at the side of her breasts, a little smashed against the couch.
He tried hard not to tremble as he moved over her skin, breathing in deep as he watched her shivering.
Gosh, he just wanted to be good for her.
He pressed on a little spot, and raised his eyebrows when she moaned loudly.
"Oh, please," she whimpered. "Right there."
Sam sucked in a deep breath, feeling his cock waking up the littlest bit as he followed her words, focusing on the sore spot.
He continued to move, and watched her face, surprised as he realised her eyes were fluttering closed, not falling asleep, but looking like she was going to do so very soon.
"Tired?' he offered.
She pouted.
"No," she whined. "Not tired."
Sam chuckled.
"Are you sure?"
"Why did you stop?" she asked, slurring her words.
Sam chuckled a little, caressing a soft circle on her back.
"You are falling asleep," he remarked.
Thea pouted.
"I'm not."
Sam chuckled and watched her as she sat down, nipples hard under his eyes.
"We should go to bed," he offered.
Thea's shoulders dropped, and she looked down, looking like she was disappointed.
"What is it?" he asked.
Thea looked away, scoffing.
"Nothing," she whispered, reaching for her shirt. "Nevermind."
Sam knelt quickly, resting his hands on her knees.
"What is wrong?" he insisted. "Tell me."
Her eyes filled up with tears, and Sam reached for her hands, squeezing it.
"I just..." she hesitated. "Sometimes I feel like you don't want me."
His eyes widened, and his jaw fell open in shock.
"What?"
"Not like Dean wants Dittie, or Dittie wants you and Dean, or you want Dittie," she looked away from him, looking completely hurt. "I'm just left out."
He opened his mouth, not knowing what to say.
"I didn't know you felt like that," he confessed.
Thea moved uncomfortably and Sam stood, sitting on the couch and sitting her to his lap, cradling her closely and surprised when he heard a little sniff from her.
"I'm so sorry," he pressed a kiss to her temple, gently rocking her. "This is just so new to me, I didn't even realise this was what you were going through."
Sam caressed her hair and her ears, petting her as Thea clung to his neck.
This was the first time he even saw her crying.
What kind of Alpha was he, not even knowing how to care for his new Omega?
"My poor bunny," he kissed her temple. "I'll fix it, baby, I promise. I'll show you all of the love you deserve, I'll be a good Alpha for you."
“I just want to be yours,” she whispered.
Sam reached for her, raising her chin and kissing her plushy lips, cradling her face in his hand as he did so, only pulling away when they were both breathless, and proceeded to move his lips to her cheeks and jaw, kissing her tears away, holding her closely until she squeaked and fell back, giggling at his kisses.
Thea's cries had turned into giggles when he continued moving, kissing her all over, feeling his tail wagging as he did so.
"You're just an overgrown puppy," she giggled, and Sam pulled away, looking at her face. "It's so adorable but just so big!"
He snorted, sitting back up and pulling her along with him, this time making her straddle his lap.
She was looking up at his eyes, once again analysing him, when he pulled her closer, wrapping his arms around her soft body and keeping her even closer, breathing in her sweet scent and closing his eyes when she moved to rub her nose over his.
"You have the cutest nose," he whispered, opening his eyes as she moved away.
Thea smiled a little, and shook her head.
"Me and Dittie have the same nose," she remarked. "Same lips, eyes, face..."
Sam reached for her, caressing her face and running a finger over her skin, tracing the little details, the things that made her different.
"It's different," he whispered, touching her nose. "Your hump is a little higher. Your eyes are a little closer.”
She tilted her head a bit, and Sam watched her face.
When he looked at them, he could see the difference really easily now. Dittie's eyes were a little more distant from one another. The middle of her face was a little bigger, like someone had taken a photo of Thea and stretched the picture the littlest bit.
"You have a little scar right here," he touched her lip, seeing the thin line that crossed her upper lip. "And this very little dot under your eye."
Her eyes filled up with tears again, and Sam realised that this wasn’t something she wasn’t used to. Being vulnerable wasn’t something that came easily to Thea, but she also struggled to see herself separated from Dittie.
They were identical twins, and always clumped together into the same pair.
As kids, they shared their rooms, their clothes, and now they shared their partners, and sometime even Sam and Dean considered them an extension of one another.
It could be hard to not be seen as an individual.
"Little princess," he cooed, seeing her sniffing. "Don't cry."
"I'm not gonna cry," she whimpered.
"I'll kiss your tears away," he promised. "Every time. I'll tickle you until you're laughing so loudly you wake the neighbours up."
She giggled, and Sam reached for her, kissing her lips, surprised when Thea kissed him hungrily.
"Daddy," she whined, biting his lower lip.
"You like my mouth, baby?" he pulled away, moved his lips to her jaw and neck.
Thea nodded, whining.
"Your hands too," she panted.
He smirked, raising his hands to grab her hips and raise her, squeezing her skin and reaching for her tits, tracing his kisses down to her collarbones and sucking a little bruise on her skin before taking her nipples in his mouth, sucking both together.
"Sam!" she yelped.
He just bit one of her nipples, pulling on it, and ripped her old underwear in his fingers, pulling it away from her body and pushing a finger into her cunt.
She gasped at the sudden invasion, and he continued to suck on her tits as he pushed another finger in, fucking her in a regular pace, just teasing, not too slow or fast. He knew what he needed to get her off, and didn't want to do it, not yet.
"Pretty princess," he licked the bottom part of her tit, smiling when she moaned. "Daddy's little bunny just wants to be cherished, doesn't she?"
Thea nodded, whining.
"My baby bunny," he rolled her clit with his thumb, kissing the middle of her chest. "Gonna cherish your whole body, make you feel everything good."
She looked down at him, eyes glossy as her cunt got wetter under his fingers.
"Gonna give my baby bunny all the love she deserves," he licked her breast.
"Daddy," she whimpered.
He fucked her faster, watching her face as her lips opened in a little O shape, pretty sounds growing louder and louder.
"Say it again," he sucked a spot on her shoulder, kissing her neck.
"Daddy," she cried softly.
"And what do you want from daddy, baby?" he pushed a forth finger into her, feeling her squeezing him, slicky and sensitive.
Fuck, he could get his whole hand in here if he was patient enough.
"Wanna be daddy's slutty bunny," she whined, pushing her hips against his hand.
Sam smiled a little and licked her lower lip, sucking it into his lips.
"But you're already my slutty bunny," he felt his cock throbbing in his pants. "And such a good bunny for daddy."
Thea closed her eyes, moving her hips, trying to get more of his fingers.
"Daddy," she squeezed his shoulders. "Gonna cum."
He rubbed his nose over her mating gland.
"Cum for daddy, my little princess," he kissed her skin. "Let me feel you around my fingers."
She kissed his lips hungrily and smiled as she came, moaning and riding his fingers hungrily, sitting her on his thigh when Sam pulled them away.
Sam kissed her temple and forehead, gently petting her hair with his free hand while Thea recovered, still rubbing herself a little bit on his leg just as he moved his fingers to his mouth, licking them clean from her slick.
He was surprised when her soft movements became something a little hungrier, and she clung to his neck, rubbing her clit on the fabric of his pants and soaking the fabric.
"Daddy," she whined. "Can I sit on your cock now?"
Sam closed his eyes, feeling himself throbbing.
Gosh, the little tempting monster.
"It's late, baby," he caressed her back.
Sam moved back down to her face and rubbed his nose on hers, the way she had just done before.
"Please?" she whined.
Fuck, he had just made her cum and she was already rubbing herself on him like that?
"I can fuck you tomorrow," he caressed her hair, though not stopping her. "I just want to make you feel good tonight, princess."
Thea whined, breath growing shallower and hips moving quicker.
"Do you want to use daddy to get off?" he offered, trying to contain himself. "And then I'll take you to brush your teeth, and we can go to bed?"
She confirmed with a little whine, and rested her forehead on his as Sam raised his thigh, staring deeply into her eyes.
His little bunny moaned in pleasure, clinging to him as she rode his thigh, and he just watched attentively as she moved.
She finally came, and Sam held her hips down before she could continue moving, knowing too well she would be using her way to get what she wanted.
Thea didn't protest as he guided her to use the bathroom, brushing her hair back as she brushed teeth, caressing her ears and smiling when she closed her eyes.
"Do you think it can be just us tonight?" she asked. "On the bed?"
Sam studied her face, surprised. Dean and Dittie were cuddling upstairs.
She wanted a little more of him, to be with Sam for herself.
"Of course," he caressed her hair. "We can sleep in the extra room."
The kinky room.
Well, it was still a bedroom, though it was locked tight so that the kids didn't get curious.
He let her guide her downstairs, and smiled a little when she wrapped herself around him completely as they lied down, clinging to his body as she fell asleep.
"I love you, baby," he whispered, kissing her temple.
"I love you too," she sighed, holding him closely.
Thea fell asleep before he did, but didn't let him go, and Sam fell asleep drowned in her scent.
He woke up surprised with the faint light coming from somewhere, and opened his eyes in surprise when Thea sat over his hips, watching his face with big eyes.
"Good morning?" he yawned.
She blinked with big eyes, looking amused and excited.
"Good morning, daddy," she rested her hands on his lower stomach. "It's tomorrow already."
He chuckled, grunting.
"Yes, it is, baby," he sighed.
He was about to sit up and move, but his eyes widened when he felt something tight and warm around him.
Fuck, she'd been warming his cock waiting for him to wake up?
"I hope you don't mind that I took a seat?" she offered, moving up and down slowly, showing off to his eyes, and Sam tossed his head back at how wet she was. "I was a little hungry."

A/N: Finally finished this based off of a dream I had once upon a time. As always I do not own any named characters in this, except for the “reader”. Set in season 11, although Reader and Dean’s relationship has been well established before that.
TW: no HEA, cannon level violence, swearing/language, kinda OOC!Dean, unhealthy coping mechanisms, implied smut (not explicit), blood (mentioned), spoilers for season 11, one use of y/n
I met the Winchesters after my college roommate passed away under unnatural circumstances. To make a long story short, a demon had decided that a college campus was the best place to set up shop, and nearly half of my dorm was harmed in the process. I did my best to help, despite having very little knowledge of such creatures, but I was willing to help. From that point on, I became a powerful ally to the brothers, and a formidable foe to the supernatural.
After Bobby’s death I stepped up full-time, becoming their go-to researcher for anything they were facing. Life was going fine, helping with research the best I could, working in the background against the Leviathan.
Time blurred together, from helping the boys with the trials, fighting Metatron alongside Castiel, and along the way, something bloomed in between me and the eldest Winchester. What started as friendly teasing and taunting, morphed into actual flirting and soon enough, physical touch was involved. We were great, always backing the other when needed, even when the Mark of Cain became a third wheel in our relationship. Throughout it all, I stood beside him, forever and always.
I waited for the boys at the hospital, standing on the steps as they helped Jenna out of the Impala. After helping them get her into a wheelchair, I checked them over, finding that there was no visible damage done to the brothers; the sheriff, however, was holding onto her side, her shirt covered in fresh blood. She tensed upon seeing me, her free hand inching toward her gun. I held my hands up in a defensive manner, intending to show no harm.“Normally, I’m the one grabbing the gun when approached.”
“Show us your neck.”
I furrow my brows, looking from her to the boys. Dean nods, and I reach down, pulling the collar of the turtle neck down. “Satisfied? Or do I need to conjure up a hickey or two?”
Jenna relaxed, trying to look past me into the hospital. Dean grabbed my arm, dragging me just out of earshot of the other two. “I thought I told you not to worry about it.”
“Right, right, because that’s what you would do.”
“No, it’s just,” he ran his hand through his hair, huffing out air. “You know how I feel about you searching for trouble.”
I snorted. “Honey, you’re all the trouble I need. But, I get it. My big, scary boyfriend is worried about me. Even though he knows how I can handle myself perfectly fine.”
Dean opened his mouth, just as Sam interrupted. “What’s the state of the hospital? Where is everyone?”
“Dead. No pulse whatsoever.” Sam’s eyes took on a saddened glaze. I cocked my head towards the door, searching for an exit from the conversation. “Let’s get Sheriff Callie fixed-up then, shall we?”
All of us cautiously made our way into the hospital, wary of the chance of a rabid attacking at any point. The halls seemed way too quiet, the sounds of our beating hearts the only noise our ears intercepted. When we reached the exam room, Sam dismissed himself, searching for antibiotics for Jenna. Meanwhile, I stood to the side as Dean stitched the sheriff’s wound closed, watching the meticulous way he tended to her. Dean finished with his work, helping her down from the table, turning to me after. I crossed my arms, watching as he unrolled his sleeves. I looked to the sheriff, nodding to the room behind me. “There’s a comfortable chair in there, you should probably take a little break.”
“I’m fine.”
“You lost a lot of blood, I’m guessing?” I raised a brow as she looked away. “There’s some juice in the mini fridge and a couple granola bars in the lower drawer. Eat up, we don't need you passing out on us.”
She sighed, following my instructions and shuffled into the office. I shut the door behind her, regaining my composure before turning back to Dean. He busied himself with cleaning the area, avoiding eye contact with me.
“Are we going to talk about it?”
“About what?”
“You know what.” I huffed, hoisting myself up onto the table next to him. “About you running away, and then suddenly there’s a code red in the area you distinctly were in? Oh, and how about the fact that you told your brother to take care of me? The girl you are in a relationship with?”
“Are we going to address you going against my specific orders to stay put?”
“God damnit, I was worried about you! You went to get yourself killed and didn’t even think to tell me goodbye in person!” I slammed my hand down onto the table, leaning into his face. “I swear sometimes I don’t recognize you anymore. Mark or not.”
He glared at me, irritated with the invasion of his personal space. “Maybe that’s because I’m not who I was.”
“Yeah, go figure.”
“No, you don’t get it. The Mark—”
“Fuck the Mark. You’re Dean Winchester. The Dean Winchester. Even Hell trembles in the mention of your name. A stupid ass curse is the last thing I would expect to break you down.”
His jaw ticks as he looks to the ceiling, probably sending off a prayer to Cas for some sort of strength, to deal with me. “I am not the person I was before.”
“No, you're not. And you know what? That’s fine. We’ve been through worse than a fucking personality change. Shit, I ran from a demon you with a goddamn hammer in your hand. I’m sure if that didn’t turn me off from you, then nothing can.” I pushed the bag to the side, sliding over so I was in front of him. I reached my hand out, cupping his face as I looked deep into those emerald green eyes. “I’m in this till the end, you hear me? Forever and always.”
“Forever and always.” He sighs, pushing his face into my palm, before pulling me into an embrace. I wrap my arms around him, breathing in the scent that is so distinctly Dean, when Sam enters with a man holding a child. I pull away, eying the new editions to the room.
“Sorry for interrupting, but we have company. I found them hiding from one of the infected.” Sam rushes out, nodding to the father.
Jenna opens the door, joining us again, looking much better with the nutrients in her system. A look of recognition crossing her features. “Mike? Where’s…”
“She’s gone.” The father, Mike, looked down to the child, an expression of grief taking over his features. I slide off the table, pushing Dean back, crossing to him. The sheriff joins us, murmuring her condolences to Mike, who rocks his baby slightly. I step back, allowing the friends space as I check in with the brothers. Sam nods towards the father, the black veins creeping from the man's neck. Dean clears his throat, returning our attention. “We need to kill him.”
“No, we don’t.” Sam states, exasperated with his blood.
“What are our other options then, because I don’t see many.”
“There has to be some other way,” I reason, “he has a newborn, we shouldn’t even consider that.”
Sam backs me. “That’s true. This infection seems to have a time frame, the rabid in the hall, just died after some time. Maybe we have to wait it out.”
“Wait it out so he can attack us like the rest of us? No Sam, I can't let that happen.”
I turn back to our company, not wanting to continue with this argument.
Noticing the child fussing, I walk over, directly to the father. “May I?”
He nods, handing me the baby and I look down at her, cooing and rocking her in an attempt to calm her. Mike watches closely, ensuring his child's safety, and an ache rises in my chest at the action. Sam joins us, ignoring the child held in my arms. “We have a plan.”
“You have a plan, my plan was to kill him.”
“Dean.” I shoot him a glare, reminding him he is in the presence of the very person he wants to kill. He throws his hands up as Mike chimes in.
“No, he’s right, it’s only a matter of time before I attack you all. I’ll leave, distance myself from you and wait out the time period.”
“What? No. What is she going to do without you, her father?” I hold her tighter to my chest, the ache returning.
“Jenna? Will you take care of her for me? I’ll go wait out the infection and…” He rubs the baby's head, turning to the sheriff. Jenna nods, and holds her arms out for the child. I transfer the child to her arms, going to tuck myself into Dean’s side, his arm looping around my waist.
“What’s the plan?”
We were stopped at a gas station, Dean calling Sam while Jenna took Amara in to change her. I sat in the backseat, the door open as Dean stood nearby, Sam on speaker. “Everything is going fine here. Really.”
“Are you sure, because we can come back in a heartbeat.”
“No, you guys make sure Jenna and the baby make it to her grandmother’s, don’t worry about me, I can handle myself.”
Dean hands me the phone as he heads inside, leaving me with Sam. “You’re one hundred percent sure that you don’t need us?’
A sigh echoes from the other end. “Honestly, no. I caught it, the infection.”
“Sam.” My throat swells. “We’re coming back, right after—”
“No! Just, don’t tell Dean.”
“Fine. I’m not going to lie to him though. And Sam?”
“Yeah?”
“You better use that big brain of yours to find a cure, I’m not looking forward to Dean trying to sell his soul again.”
“Promise me you’ll stop him from doing anything stupid. No matter the outcome.”
“You know I can’t promise that.”
“Promise.”
I sigh, closing my eyes as the worry begins to creep in. “I promise.”
“Good. Now get Jenna to her grandmother’s, and I’ll see you both later.”
“Right. Bye Sammy.”
He hangs up just as Dean returns, leaning against Baby. “Did he say anything to you?”
I shook my head, picking at my nails. “Nothing he didn’t tell you.”
He scrubs his hand in his hair, looking up to the sky. “I hate leaving him behind in a hotspot.”
“I know you do, but this was his idea, he wouldn’t have said anything if he wasn’t confident in his abilities.”
“You’re right, but I still can’t not worry about him.”
I stood up in front of him, tucking my hands into the pockets of his jacket. “I didn’t want to leave him either, but we have to respect his decisions. Right?”
He lets out a sigh, his hands slipping into the back pockets of my jeans as our foreheads meet. “You’re right. I still hate it though.”
“That’s fair. For now, we need to get those two to somewhere safe, then we can speed back to him, okay?”
He lets out a sound of affirmation before pulling away from me, just as Jenna returns. We all climb back into Baby, heading off to the safe house.
“Do you think they’ll be fine?”
Dean’s eyes flicker over to me, returning to the road before answering. “I think so. Might be hard to explain a few years down the road, but that’s not our problem.”
I nod, watching the fields pass the window as we make out way back to the hospital. Suddenly, Dean’s cell rings, flashing Jenna’s name across the caller ID. He answers it as usual, muttering some responses before whipping the Impala around. “Change of plans sweetheart, we’ve got some other things to attend to.”
We get out at Jenna’s grandmother’s, meeting her at the end of the driveway. “I’m sorry for calling, it’s just, this is crazy. Also, I apologize ahead of time, my grandmother’s a big religious person.”
We enter the house, coming face first with the king of hell dressed as a priest. “Crowley?”
“Hello dears. About time you joined us.”
“So what the hell is happening here, Father?”
“Well, the same thing you were called for apparently, I have some connections, so when an exorcism is called in, I get called in.” Crowley shrugs, as if this isn’t the biggest news.
“Still doesn’t explain why you’re here.”
“I was called in about some sort of demon possession. But, whatever thing is in there, it isn’t mine…it’s darker, more powerful.”
“What do you think it is?”
“If I knew, I would have told you wouldn’t I?” He scoffs, watching as I turn back to the house, going to approach it, before a scream rips through the air. I whip my head to the two of them, eyes widening before we all rush inside, guns drawn.
Inside, we find the grandmother lying in a pool of her own blood, Jenna nowhere to be found. I shoot a glare at Crowley, who stands to the side, thoroughly unimpressed. The two go upstairs, checking the rest of the house while leaving me with the corpse. “Sorry grandma, but we have to figure this out.”
I check the first floor, finding a sheet, which I lay over her body, out of pure respect. A smash sounds from the second floor, and soon enough Dean comes rushing down the stairs. “They're gone.”
A few weeks later, I stand at the end of a table, looking in disbelief at the brothers. “Cas is Lucifer, Sam died again, but not really, so you overdosed in hopes of saving him?”
Sam flinches, avoiding looking at me, while Dean shrugs. “I did what I needed to.”
“By killing yourself?! What if it didn’t work?! What if you actually died? Did you forget you have a vengeful reaper dying to sink her teeth into you?!”
Dean shrugs, continuing to sip at his beer.
“And he shrugs. What the fuck has gotten into you? Ever since the church case you've been acting like a total ass.”
Sam looks at his brother, then to me, before excusing himself from the room. I sit in the spot he left, directly across from Dean. “What’s wrong? You’ve been distant since this whole Amara thing began. Is it something with her? Cas?”
He scoffs, peeling at the label on the bottle in front of him, avoiding eye contact. I grab the bottle, reaching for his hand. He pulls it away, glaring at me. “Maybe it’s you.”
“I’m sorry?”
“Maybe it’s you. Maybe you're the issue.”
“Me? How the hell am I the issue? I haven't seen you since dropping off Amara and Jenna. You’re acting like a total ass to me, and yet I’m the problem?”
He stands up, his palms pressing flat to the table, turning to leave for his room.
“Fine, how do I fix this?”
“You don’t.”
“Huh?”
“You don’t fix it.”
“Whatever it is we can fix—”
“We cannot fix anything. There’s nothing to fix between us, not anymore.” He pushes off the table, running a hand through his hair.
My voice begins to tremble, a lump forming in my throat. “What? What do you mean there’s nothing? We’re—”
“There is no we anymore!” He whirls around towards me, a look of pure annoyance painted over his features.
“I’m sorry, but it sounds like you’re trying to break up with me? Which can’t be true.” I stand up, the chair screeching against the floor in my urgency. “Unless it is.”
“It is.”
“No, it’s not.”
“I kissed her. And I liked it. She’s been on my mind anytime I’m with you. Shit, I had to force Sam to promise he wouldn’t tell you. But us? This is done.”
“Wait, who are we talking about? There’s another girl?!” I shouted, tears forming in my eyes.
“Amara.”
“The baby?! The fucking one-month old?! You’re leaving me for her?!”
“Yes!”
“This is why you've been distant. God I’m so stupid. Forever and always my ass.” I wrap my arms around myself. “You know what, fuck this.”
Dean stood there, his back turned to me. I reached up, snapping the chain that once laid delicately around my neck. The silver pendant dangled gently from the ruined piece. I threw it on the table. “Fuck you. And fuck your girl toy. Don’t you dare come asking for my forgiveness when she destroys everything you love. If you are even capable of that.”
I pivoted, heading to my room, locking the door behind me, not bothering to glance at him again. I rip the photos of us off the wall, tossing them in the trash bin. I hesitate with the first one, the one Sam took of us leaning into one another, passed out in the front seat of Baby. The day we first said the words. A single tear landed on it as I pulled my lighter out of my pocket, lighting the corner on fire before dropping it into the bin with the rest.
I hauled my bag over my shoulder, walking into the garage where my 1977 Chevy Camaro sat, unused since I began running with the brothers. Specifically since Dean. I threw my bag in the backseat, starting the engine and leaving behind what once was my home. Where my heart could no longer stay.
Sam’s call lit up the darkened hotel room for the fifth time tonight. Not to mention Cas’s numerous calls and voicemails sitting in the inbox waiting to be opened. Yet not a single one from him. I turned my phone over, standing on shaky legs as I made my way to the en suite. I flicked on the fluorescent light, coming face to face with a ghastly image. My eyes were rimmed in red, the deep purple bags making the red so much brighter. Tear stains lined my cheeks, my hair thrown up in a knot, curled in on itself in a mirror image of my stomach. And the irises that one shone bright with life, were fogged over, dull. Dean’s ring sat on the ledge of the sink, mocking me. The ring he gave me that first hunt they went on without me. The promise echoing in my ears.
“Wear this. It’s my guarantee to return to you, always.”
“For forever.”
“For forever and always.” His lips brushed my forehead, settling the ring on my forefinger, it wouldn't fit on the rest. “Forever and always, princess.”
He returned from that hunt with a nasty cut on his cheek, and a funny limp in his right leg, but he returned. And he always did from that point on, forever.
“Fuck forever and always.”
I wake up with hair in my mouth, a raging headache thriving between my ears. I groan, moving to sit up, but held back by a heavily muscled arm around my waist. I look over my shoulder, coming face to face with a dark haired man. His deep breaths indicate he’s still sleeping, and the sticky feeling between my thighs reveals exactly what happened after the alcohol hit my system. My phone buzzes on the nightstand beside me, an unknown number calling me. I pick it up, grumbling choice words as I answer.“Who the hell is this?”
“Hello darling. Didya have a nice night?”
“Crowley,” I throw the stranger’s arm off me, getting out of bed and search for my clothes. “to what do I owe the honor?”
“Your man and his sibling have called me in, we have a lead on how to get rid of Amara.”
“No.”
“I know you and him had a fallout, darling, we can’t do this on our own. So I suggest you get your freshly screwed buttocks to the bunker, asap.” The dead tone rang through my ear, and then through the air as my phone crashed into the wall. I yanked on my converse, mumbling towards my companion.
“Goddamn Winchesters and their goddamn saving the earth. Look, I have to leave, just return the key to the desk when you leave, and thanks for last night…” I shrugged on my jacket, grabbing my keys and reaching for the door knob. The mystery man goes to speak, having been woken up by our conversation, but I ignore him, closing the door behind me.
Crowley meets me the second I pull up to the building, a knowing smile displayed on his face. “So, where’s the lucky man now?”
I flip him off, walking inside. I’m greeted by Sam pulling me into a hug, a muddled kiss place in my hair. He pulled away, checking me for any signs of distress. “Are you okay?”
I nod, glancing around the room, finding Cas, well, Lucifer, Rowena, an individual I didn’t recognize, plus Metatron. I scan the room, looking for the person I least want to see. The door opened behind me, and in walks Dean Winchester, looking like hell warmed over. My breath caught and I swayed into Sam, going lightheaded. He wrapped his arm around me protectively as Dean approached us. “Y/n. Look I’m—”
“Don’t.” Sam growls towards his brother. “They’re here to help us, not for an apology from you.”
“I’m just trying—”
“No, Dean. You don’t get to try anything. They will decide when you get to talk to them. Got it?”
The unknown individual cleared his throat, directing our attention to the plan. I felt Dean’s eyes burning into my side, and then they snapped to Sam, when the announcement of who Mark would go to. I turned to look up at him, fear clinging to my ribs.“Sam? You can’t.”
“We didn’t talk about this. You can’t, it’s mine to bear.”
“I didn’t tell you because I knew you would freak out like this.”
I grabbed Sam’s bicep, dragging his attention to me. “Do you know what you are agreeing to?”
He nods, dragging me closer to him. “I have to do it, you know I do.”
I let him go, looking at Dean, our eyes locking. I can see the pain he’s trying to hide, the anger, the worry, all for his brother. I return my gaze to the big man, resisting the urge to comfort him. “Well then, let’s get this show on the road, shall we.”
The door opens, a beaten woman dragging herself in. Her dark eyes flicker around the room, landing on me, front and center. My breath catches in my throat, her beauty striking me. I swallow visibly, my eyes dragging down her body, before returning to hers. She straightens up, a smirk crossing her face. “Who are you?”
“I’m, I’m no one important.”
Lucifer impales her from behind, as Chuck steps around me, looking down at his sister. They exchange words, before Amara stands up, throwing the rest of us every which way. My head slams against concrete, the world dissolving behind my eyelids.
When my eyelids flutter open, I’m in a smokey void, with only Amara in front of me. I step forward, reaching for my knife hidden away in my jacket, only to find it missing. She lets out a laugh. “So you were the one who once owned the heart of my Winchester?”
“Your Winchester?” I let out a laugh.
She tilts her head, smiling at me. “Right, you both are dating, aren’t you? I might just have to steal him from you. Oh wait, I already have.” She leans in closer, running her nose up my neck, stopping when her breath tickles my ear. “Or I could make you watch as I bind our souls together for eternity. What was the phrase you used? Forever and always.”
“You—”
“Careful what you say to me. I could end your life with the snap of my fingers.” Her smile drops, her hand wrapping around my neck. I grit my teeth together, hissing out my next words. “Do it then, you bitch.”
My body gets thrown backwards, hitting an invisible wall. She tsks at me, her face holding no emotion. “No, no. I’d rather keep you alive. Force you to watch Dean leave you over and over again until the universe ends. Keep you in a little glass cage, as a pet.”
“You’re sick.” Amara throws her head back, letting out a laugh.
“Perhaps I am, but are you much better?”
I glare at her, silently cussing out Chuck for letting this happen. She takes my head into her hands, her eyes locked on my lips. “Nothing? I thought so.” She twists my head violently to the side, and the void disappears.
My eyes snap open, lungs panting for air as green floods my vision. I sit up, pushing Dean back from me, as Cas stands up. Sam is crouching next to Chuck, helping him sit up, his complexion pale. Cas speaks up, his monotonous voice returned. “You were out for a while. I couldn’t find your soul.”
“Thank you Cas. It’s great to have you back.”
Dean opens his mouth, going to say something when Rowena bursts through the doors.
“You all need to come see this. We have a wee bit of a problem.”
A month had passed since then, and I was thrown into saving the world yet again. Collecting souls to build a spirit bomb, Dean gave up on attempting to talk to me, his brother my guard dog. Saying goodbye to the only man I’ve loved, just for him to remain alive, returning with his mother. Saving Sam from the crazy Brits, and so much more. I moved back into the bunker, much to Mary’s insistence: “The boys need you, as much as they don’t want to admit it.”
I hid in my room, only coming out for the necessities, to share research I found, basically avoiding Dean. Unfortunately, he eventually caught up during one of my necessity runs. I felt confined as he barred my escape route.
“We need to talk.”
“We are, aren't we?” I shook his hand off my arm, eyes darting to the exit he left unguarded.
“No, we aren’t, and it’s killing me.”
I snorted, “Well, apparently I’m the problem, so distancing myself seems to be the only way to remedy that.”
Dean flinched back, tucking his hands into his pocket as he looked to the floor. “About that, I—”
“No.”
“No?” “No, you don't get to apologize. I’m done Dean. Something in me shattered that day, the day I realized I’m not what you wanted. That I was just convenient for you. And now that there's not another woman pining after you, you want me back. It doesn’t work like that. My answer is no, you do not get a second chance, divine interference or not.” I turned on my heel, rushing back to my room, leaving him
standing there with tears in his eyes matching mine. But, if there's one thing I know about Dean Winchester, it’s that he’ll get over it.

Ruffled Feathers 🪶
~ Part 7 ~
Summary: Julia Morgan, Bobby's niece, has always been a royal thorn in Dean Winchesters ass since the day they met 1 year ago at Bobby's memorial. She wants to be a hunter, he thinks she's a dumb kid playing dress up. Will she always be seen as an unwanted load in Dean's eyes or will he see something more?
Pairing: Dean x OC
Warnings: Age gap, language, sexual themes (used lightly, physical abuse (Not by Dean).
Word Count: 807
A/N: As stated before this story is cross posted on Wattpad, which has a few more chapters uploaded already if you want to check it out on there. I can’t sleep tonight, so I’ll probably upload a few more on here :) Happy reading! ♥️
Julia watched Dean storm off to a small shed close by, clearly irritated. She had done everything right—stepped in when it counted, hit her mark, and helped take down the werewolf. But still, Dean acted like it was nothing, like she was just some child tagging along for the ride.
Sam gave her a sympathetic glance as he bent down to yank her knife from the werewolf's side. "That was a good throw especially with an injured shoulder," he said, wiping the blade clean before handing it back to her.
"Thanks," Julia muttered, slipping the knife into her belt. She appreciated Sam's support, but it didn't change the fact that Dean had barely acknowledged what she'd done. Every time she thought she'd made progress, he pulled back, refusing to give her even a scrap of validation.
Together, they followed Dean to the shed, where he was already gathering wood for a makeshift pyre. Julia stepped up to help, determined to stay professional, even if she wanted to yell at Dean for being such an ass. She stayed quiet, stacking wood beside Sam and Dean until they had a decent pile.
Dean stood, brushing his hands off as he looked down at the dead werewolf. "Sam, you got the lighter fluid?"
Sam nodded, pulling it from his bag. As he doused the body, Julia noticed Dean's jaw was still tight, his shoulders tense. He was pissed—probably at her for stepping in during the fight, but she wasn't going to let him make her feel like she had done something wrong.
She rubbed her shoulder, watching as the flames took hold, lighting up the night with a crackling blaze. They stood there for a moment, staring at the fire, none of them saying a word.
Finally, Sam broke the silence. "That could've went a lot worse."
Dean grunted, eyes still fixed on the flames. "Yeah, I guess."
Julia clenched her teeth, biting back the urge to snap. She didn't know what else she had to do to get him to see that she was capable. But instead of picking a fight, she kept her mouth shut, the words she wanted to say burning in her throat.
After a few minutes, the fire began to die down, the werewolf's body reduced to ash. Dean finally turned away, heading back toward the Impala without another word.
Sam lingered behind for a moment, glancing at Julia. "He's just... being Dean. You know how he is."
"Yeah, I do," Julia said quietly. "I just wish he'd stop treating me like I'm gonna break."
Sam sighed, his face softening. "He's protective. It's not personal."
Julia looked over at him, her frustration bubbling up. "It feels pretty damn personal when every time I do something right, he still acts like I'm messing up somehow."
Sam didn't have an answer for that. Instead, he gave her a small smile and motioned toward the car. "Come on. Let's get back to town."
They made their way to the Impala, where Dean was already waiting in the driver's seat, the engine idling. Julia climbed into the backseat without a word, staring out the window as they pulled back onto the road.
The ride back to town was just as tense as before, though now Julia could feel the weight of her frustration settling in her chest. She didn't know what more she could do—she had trained hard, put in the work, and proven herself in the field. But none of it seemed to matter to Dean.
As they drove into the night, the lights of the small town fading behind them, she couldn't help but wonder if it ever would.
They pulled into the motel parking lot sometime after midnight, the moon high in the sky. Dean parked the Impala, killing the engine with a heavy sigh. Sam stepped out first, grabbing his duffel from the trunk. Julia followed, still feeling the sting of Dean's cold attitude.
As Dean grabbed his own bag, he shot Julia a quick glance. His voice was gruff, low, like he was forcing himself to talk to her. "You should rest up. Tomorrow's gonna be another long day."
Julia held his gaze for a second, her own frustration mirrored in her eyes. "I can handle it, Dean."
He didn't respond, just slung the bag over his shoulder and headed toward the motel room.
Sam paused beside her, giving her a look that was part sympathy, part encouragement. "He'll come around. Eventually."
Julia shrugged, not entirely sure she believed him. "Maybe."
But as she followed them into the room, she couldn't shake the feeling that no matter how much she tried, no matter how many times she proved herself, Dean was never going to see her as anything more than a problem.
And that thought weighed heavier than any werewolf fight.

Teaching make-up
Cas x fem curvy Winchester reader
Castiel. An angel who thought he’d never be able to experience true love. He really did believe that. Until he met you. Y/n, Sam and Dean Winchesters’ sister. Every time you’re around, he looks at you like he’s in awe.
Tonight, Sam and Dean left the bunker to go hunt a Shapeshifter. Because it was an easy case, they told you and Castiel to stay back. So, now Castiel is watching intently as you show him your makeup routine. “So, you’re basically using your face as a canvas?”
Y/n smiles softly "well yes" (Y/n was 5'5 feet tall and she had long curly brown hair and beautiful Doe eyes that were golden hazel and she had pink lips and freckles around her face and she had a curvy body and her hips sway each time she walked and she was wearing a black Plus Solid Mermaid Skirt and a chocolate brown Solid Tube Crop Top)
Castiel would look at Anlie up and down, blushing at her curvy figure. He smiled at how her hips swayed. He didn’t understand why it made his heart beat faster or why he was so entranced.
Castiel would slowly step closer to her, his eyes locked on her hips. This was a perfect opportunity to figure out why his heart was so excited. He would reach down and gently grab her hips, holding them in his hands.
Y/n smiles and makes him sit "now the real fun starts" she starts doing his skincare. Castiel would blush softly when she makes him sit down. He still wasn’t sure what this was for, but he wouldn’t question her, that would make her upset. His heart would still be racing, as he looked up at her. He tried to calm it, but looking into her eyes made it harder to. He’d watch as she does his skin care and smile gently. He loved how close he was to her, and how good her hands felt on his face.
Castiel would be quiet as she puts the care on his face. He couldn’t take his eyes off her face. She looked so focused, which made her look so stunning. Just being this close to her was enough for his heart to beat fast. Once she finished putting her care on his face, he’d look at her questioningly. “So… what now?” He asked curiously, his voice low and soft.
Y/n hums softy "just for a bit..." Castiel would nod, watching her as she hums softly. Every movement she made, every sound she made… he would follow intently. He felt so… intrigued. Like every bit of her captured his attention, and he couldn’t look away. “How long is ‘just a bit?" .He asked curiously, tilting his head slightly.
Y/n checks her phone "5 minutes.." she smiles softly Castiel would nod, his eyes staying fixed on her. The fact that she was so close to him, so focused on him, was making his heart race once again. Although, he was better this time at not letting it show on his face. He’d take a deep breath, calming his heart once again. “Alright. 5 minutes. We can do 5 minutes.”
He stated, a soft smile on his face. It felt like an eternity as he waited for her to remove the mask. Every second he spent looking up at her with this mask over his face, he was admiring her. The way she hummed, the way her hair fell over her shoulders, the way her eyes seemed focused on the time. Finally, after a few more minutes, he’d speak up again. “It’s been 5 minutes… can you remove it now?” He asked curiously, tilting his face so she could reach better.
Y/n would chuckle and nod, pulling the mask off of his face. She’d smile down at him, realizing the look he was giving her. It was the same look she had seen on his face before. She’d run her hand gently down his cheek, her eyes following her fingertips as she did so. “What?” She asked, tilting her head to one side.
Castiel would blush softly as she ran her hand down his cheek. Feeling her gentle touch on his skin would make his heart start racing. He’d look at her, his eyes staring into hers, his expression a mixture of embarrassment and awe. He’d clear his throat softly, shifting in his seat. “I… um… I was just thinking.” He mumbled, looking down and fiddling with his tie.
Y/n would chuckle softly, noticing the blush on his face and his fiddling with his tie. It was so obvious that she was affecting him, yet she pretended to not notice. Her hand would linger on the side of his face for a second, before dropping back down to her side. “Thinking about what?” She asked curiously, looking down at him.
Castiel would swallow hard, his heart racing a million beats per second. When she took her hand away, he found himself missing her touch almost immediately. He’d look back up at her, his blue eyes fixed on hers. His voice would be quieter than usual, as he was embarrassed by the thoughts going through his head. “Thinking about… you…” He mumbled, his cheeks blushing even more.
