You wait outside of Giles' home as you wait for Buffy to come outside. You look down at the soft glow of the bricks as the sun that paints the floor. A small smile crosses your face. Buffy walks outside, adjusting her tote bag as she walks over to you, "I know you don't want to be left alone with him...but that was the deal, we all have to stay with him...just so it is fair." She says in her regular soft tone, slightly pleading with you, "I understand, " you say with a smile as you gently place your hand on her shoulder, giving it a slight squeeze. Buffy reaches down into her tote bag, and she pulls out an extremely sharp wooden stake, handing it over to you. "If he breaks free or anything... just stake him, okay!" Buffy states to you as you take the stake from her grasp. Her perky tone flows through her voice as she says her goodbyes, and you watch her leave. You walk over to the door and take a deep breath before taking a step into the warmth of Giles' empty house and down the small hall and into the living room where you find Spike tied against a wooden dining chair.

You place your rucksack down in the corner of the room as you feel Spike's eyes burning into you as he watches from the chair. You nervously walk further into the living room, trying to avoid eye contact with the handsome century's old vampire. "You can't avoid eye contact the whole time." Spike grunts out as his eyes follow you around the room since his body cannot, "I can..." You mumble out shyly as you take a seat on the pillowy couch in front of him so that you don't have to face him. You listen to Spike's loud grunts as you hear the chair squeek as it travels along the floor, coming closer and closer to the couch, "Hey! Don't ignore me." he groans out in annoyance as you completely have been blanking him. You try to ignore his voice even though the british accent sends shivers of ecstasy down your body. You shake your head as you continue going strong until you hear a loud thump against the floor and Spike shriek out, "OW!" He groans out in pain as the chair toppled over.

You swiftly turn your head to see Spike laying on the floor while still attached to the chair, "Spike!" I gasp out in shock as I get up and move quickly round the couch, and I lean down to get closer to him. "Are you okay?!" I say in a shocked tone, Spike's eyes roll back slightly as he hears the very clear concern in your voice. "Yes. I'm fine. Just get me up." He grunts out in annoyance at your concern and lack of help from you, "Oh yeah." you say while chuckling nervously because of how close you are to a murderous vampire. You pull up his chair, and you exhale a deep breath after how heavy Spike is with the chair. "Oh, calm down! I'm not that heavy." Spike groans out as he watches you huff and puff over having to pull him up. "Sorry.." You say awkwardly as you step away from him. You notice how Spike is constantly grumpy looking, so you flash him a soft smile, and Spike tries to hold back from grinning to hide his smile from you he rests his head down to try his best to cover it from you.

You took notice of Spike's smile but decided it would be for the best that you didn't mention it, Spike brings his head back up and showcases his new stone-cold look to hide his smile. "Can I bite you?" Spike says, which causes your eyes to widen, and you choke on your spit. "w-what?" You mumble out in slight fear, which causes Spike to chuckle ever so slightly ."I mean... you just have such a lovely neck." He says in a more calm tone as he turns his head slightly to admire your neck, he licks his lips as he watches it pulsate as your body trembles. Your nervousness calms down when you re-evaluate the rope that is wrapped around his torso keeping him attached to the chair, "so...your hungry?" You mumble out with a small smirk that is growing on your face.

Spike's eyes widen in shock, "y-yeah." He mumbles out, still in complete shock that you're even considering giving him a taste of your delicious blood. He licks his lips as he can practically already taste your blood on his lips. He watches you walk into the kitchen, "He must be getting some blood out." Spike thinks to himself, the butterflies in his stomach flutter around faster and faster as he hears your footsteps get closer to him the excitement building up until he feels something soft get pushed into his mouth ever so slightly. You let out a chuckle as you walk past him, and you sit back down on the couch, Spike's eyes follow your body as you walk past him and slump down against the couch. You pick your magazine back up, and you continue flicking through it like you were before you were interrupted.

All the fear and nervousness you had slipped away in an instant as you turned your head to see the cookie stuffed in Spike's mouth, his hand reaches up to break it off as eat half of it. His eyes never leave yours until you turn back around, and he is practically burning holes into the back of your head. "Thanks for that," Spike says through a mouthful of cookie and in a grumpy tone as he was expecting you to bend over and let him bite your neck, "You're welcome!" you say as you turn to face him once more a small smile growing on your lips, see the smirk on your face causes Spike's stone-cold exterior to melt away slightly and his body warms to you. You turn back around to focus on your magazine once again but Spike continues to stare at the back of your head, slowly but surely becoming infatuated by you.

Oh my god I’ve been WAITING for this!!! This is probably gonna be long and maybe I’m just projecting but hear me out !!

So Spike started off as William Pratt, the town’s loser. He never been in any kind of a relationship with anyone, and even tho he had a crush on Cecily, he was happy where he was with his mum. After Cecily rejects him, he’s crushed and Drusilla finds him in that bad state and talks sweetly to him. He doesn’t play along at first and is kind of intimidated by her when she tries to go near him

“Uh, that’s - that’s quite close enough, ma’am”

He moves back but she goes towards him and talks about “walking in worlds others can’t even imagine”. At first he’s very interested in what she has to say but then he wants to go back to his mum. “Yes… uh- I mean no. I mean, uh- mother’s expecting me”. Then she starts talking about something that glows, something - effulgent. When she says that word something changes in him, he thinks he found someone that gets him. She asks him if she wants it and he answers yes- thinking she talks about sex. Thinking she gets him and so that sex will give him that something effulgent. He’s very surprised when he sees her vampire face and starts screaming in surprise and pain when she bites him.

After he became a vampire, he’s very happy with his relationship with Drusilla and is deeply in love with her but when he meets Angelus, something changes. William adores him for his toughness and they quickly bond until Spike walks into him and Drusilla having sex.

“Did you miss me, pretty William?” “Sure he did, after all, you’re his destiny”

For every other vampire, cheating is obvious but for William it wasn’t. He didn’t know what was going on with Drusilla and Angelus and was deeply hurt by it. They made fun of him for loving Drusilla with his words- “she’s my destiny” and not with being physical with her like Angelus. He learns that sex is the only way to keep a relationship in the vampire world and does it even if he doesn’t want to. He convinces himself that it’s what he wants so he’d be happy and effulgent. Just like Drusilla promised.

Much later in “Into the woods”, Spike talks to Riley and says “sometimes I envy you so much it chokes me… and sometimes I think I got the better deal. To be that close to her and not have her. To he all alone even when you’re holding her… feeling her, feeling her breath beneath you… surrounding you, the scent. No. You got the better deal.” That part is supposed to be kind of humoristic but I think it’s more than that. Spike thinks he got the better deal because he’d rather not have Buffy at all than only have her for sex. Which is what happens in season 6, she only wants him for sex and nothing else. Spike takes what he says back because it’s stupid, he needs to be happy for having sex with Buffy anyways right? Then why isn’t he?

In “Intervention”, Spike and the Buffybot has a very sexual-only relationship but how does he know that the Buffy that kisses him in the end isn’t the bot? Because she kisses him sweetly and genuinely, which is a thing the bot can’t do but it is the thing he truly wants. He’s surprised and is very happy for it.

I personally dislike Spike and Buffy’s relationship in season 6 because it was toxic from both sides and only sex-focused. Spike knew she was using him but he didn’t care because he was taught by Angelus and Drusilla that sex is the most important thing about a relationship and you can’t hold one without it. When she breaks up with him he’s very surprised because what happened? What did he do wrong? He did everything that he was taught was right to keep a relationship and it didn’t work. He didn’t understand why it was so hard for Buffy and even asked her. “Then why won’t you sleep with me again?” “Because I don’t love you”. The most genuine Spuffy parts in season 6 weren’t the sex parts but when they just simply talked but he didn’t understand that yet, and so did Buffy.

After Spike got his soul back, he was confused and wasn’t sure what to do. In “beneath you” Buffy tries to touch his chest and he says “hey hey hey- No touching! Am I flesh? Am I flesh to you? Feed on flesh, my flesh, nothing else, not a spark.” He thinks of their relationship in season 6, how Buffy only wanted him for his flesh- his sex- and didn’t really lovs him.

“Fine, flesh then. Saw it through. Get it hot, service the girl.” Again, he thinks of what he was taught. What he thought and what he convinced himself was true. His want for love without sex is stupid and unreal. If he wants to have a relationship he has to have sex or the other side will leave him.

“Right. Girl doesn’t want to be served. Because there’s no spark. He remembers that Buffy doesn’t want sex now -the girl doesn’t want to be served because she doesn’t love him- there’s no spark.

Later in “never leave me”, Spike says “you hated yourself and you took it out on me”. He finally realizes that his emotions matter too. That he’s allowed to be hurt and be angry. That it’s ok to feel sad about what happend. “I never truly hated myself then, not like I do now.” He hates himself for the damage he did to Buffy but also for the damage he did for himself. For hurting himself and sacrificing his comfort for the sake of something he convinced himself he wants.

I love season 7 Spuffy because it really showed both the audience and Buffy and Spike that you could have healthy relationships without sex. Even tho Buffy and Spike weren’t dating in season 7, they still loved each other and that’s what is really important.

Aaaaaand that’s it I think !!! Sorry that there aren’t any pictures, my device glitches every time I try to add one :/ I might add stuff if I’ll think of more ! Maybe some of these don’t make sense and maybe it’s me projecting but that’s what I think:) it’s totally ok if you disagree or don’t think so bc it’s just my personal opinions and what I saw in his character :))

First Meeting

If he had not shoved into them in his heartbroken haste, she still would���ve paid him mind to the dark but shattered aura surrounding his very being. Attracted, Drusilla followed him into an alleyway stocked with barrels of liquor where he sobbed and tore at pieces of parchment with pooling ink. She startled him but he compelled her forward, fascinated by the ripples of darkness underneath such a delicate light that surrounded him. Instantly, Drusilla knew she would not let him go.

First Glance

He stormed away from her out of the alleyway, forcing himself back toward the house where Cecily had torn his heart apart. As he was hurrying his way up the cobblestoned incline, he paused for a moment and turned around to glance back at the mysterious woman, eyeing her through his round spectacles with a pensive expression. She glided easily toward him, smiling softly. William stayed where he was. A wise decision in the end.

First Moment

Drusilla linked her arm through William’s and walked with him up the hill, the both of them talking in riddles and elegant poetry that seemed to flow from her lips so easily. He was astounded and admired her easy ability to make the world into something else entirely, marvelling his strange companion. In her very presence, William wrote some of the best poetry he ever had when his heart had been focused on Cecily.

First Touch

The next party held was Cecily’s birthday and William felt particularly eager to reveal his new black beauty to the people he considered “polite society.” Drusilla saw the other women wearing gloves and removed her own, slipping her fingers through William’s and feeling the soft skin of his writer’s hands against her cold palms. William did not mind; he would warm her for eternity for the kindness she had shown him. She stroked his cheeks and fluffed his hair with her fingers while the others stared in dismay and disgust, but the pair sat in the corner and communicated in a language no other would be able to recognise. Cecily stared at them for the whole night but William was completely unaware.

First Hug

William couldn’t contain his excitement when he saw Drusilla. He hurried toward her, wrapping his arms around her corseted waist and spun her around in his arms, crying her name in such joy that others gazed upon them with disapproving glares for such inappropriate displays of emotion in polite society. William didn’t care; he held Drusilla close as if he were afraid she would disappear if he let go. Drusilla returned his embrace and whispered things into his ear he was only now starting to understand.

First Kiss

One day William’s emotions got the better of him and he had pecked Drusilla on the lips when he greeted her. Just as he was about to apologise for such terrible behaviour on his part, Drusilla’s face illuminated with mischief and she brought his face to hers, pressing her lips against his own and kissing him heatedly, sinfully. Her tongue pushed past his lips and though William had not the slightest idea of what to do or how to react, he slid his tongue against hers and eventually sunk into the sensation. Drusilla grabbed him by the waist and held him close to her and he couldn’t exactly say he protested. He couldn’t say anything at all.

First Date

William could not, for the life of him, understand why he could only meet Drusilla during the nighttime but eventually he learned to accept it. He took her out into an enormous library in the heart of London, showing her the ceiling that seemed to glow in the dark with its portrait of the stars of heaven painted on, the endless rows of bookshelves and the seemingly endless collection of the books themselves. He stood and watched Drusilla’s reaction excitedly and anxiously, wondering if she would take the worlds in those books he treasured so dearly. A sad smile came over her face and for a moment William thought he had made another mistake.

“What is it? Is it not good enough?” He asked, rushing forward.

Drusilla gazed up at the ceiling, studying the stars painted on it. “It’s perfect… William, I ‘aven’t ‘ad somefin’ so wonderful like this in a long time…”

He smiled, relieved. “You can see the stars in here.”

She nodded, her entire face brightening. “I can. I can see the stars.”

First Intimacy

He had been so absolutely perfect to her that she only knew one way to really show her affection. Drusilla had been a pure, religious girl in her human life and she had strived to take the vows of God and become a nun. Now, she pushed the young poet onto the bed in his room, in his house, guiding his hardening cock past her folds whilst she straddled him. She let out a long, low noise as if a pressure had been relieved. Drusilla and Spike fought - physically - throwing each other against walls, clawing at each other, tossing each other like pieces of clothing. The first time they did it, fire had been set as their background and as they bled and laughed and dug their claws into each other, Spike entered Drusilla and they became one. Over and over and over, muttering to her how much he loved her and how he would never leave her. Drusilla returned the same sentiments, marking his back and his chest. He was hers, she was his. This was it.

First Split

Drusilla had run away early in the night before Spike woke from his long sleep, plagued by the vision that haunted her constantly. He was going to love someone else and it was torturing her; no matter what kind of sadistic play Angelus had done to Drusilla before he turned her, it didn’t hurt as much as the vision of Spike kissing and making love to another woman. She even heard him mutter words of love to her and that was it. Drusilla couldn’t stand it. She disappeared into the night and she didn’t speak a single word for the months to follow where Spike hunted her down. He didn’t know any better, she sobbed. He doesn’t know he’ll leave me.

First Reunion

He chased her through streets, through alleyways, on the rooftops, inside building after building until he cornered her into a warehouse, soaked to the bone from the heavy rain occurring outside. She stared wide-eyed at him, keeping a fair distance. He was furious; he was livid. His entire aura was bright red and she could feel the hurt coming from him and so desperately she wanted to hold him to her and apologise over and over for causing such hurt. She knew because she could see her face in her head and the question he had asked over and over in his search: why Dru?

“Because I saw it!” She yelled, readying herself for an attack as he sauntered forward. “I saw you wiv ano’er woman, Spike. I saw it every night, clear as if it were ‘appenin’ right in front o’ me. You were goin’ to do it and I couldn’t stand it, I couldn’t stand it!”

She broke into tears, falling to her knees and clutching at her unbeating heart. Spike’s demeanour became alarmed and he rushed to Drusilla, falling to his knees and bringing her into his arms, holding her tightly against him.

“Dru, I’d never leave ya,” he pulled back, holding her head in his hands, forcing her to look into his eyes. “I’d never. I’d never do what you did to me.”

She continued to cry, her hands limp in her lap and the sobs choking her. She managed to sputter out between chokes, “I love you. You’re my love. Mine.”

His dark eyes softened and he brought her forehead to his. “I am, Dru. I’m yours.”

First Forever

Rarely ever did Spike and Drusilla make love like this, but they did. He moved sweet and slow and she kissed him tenderly, gently as if he were made of porcelain or something precious. He lowered his head to her breast, sucking a nipple past his lips. Drusilla stared ahead at the ceiling and gazed at the stars she could see beyond.
