You and Rody met during the events of dead plate, though lets say none of the other stuff happened, and you two just got to know each other by both literally being the only two waiters there. Hearing all about Manon from the good, to the bad. after all—he was here just to try and save up for Manon. But obviously he seemed to have gotten a bit distracted during his attempt.
