one of my fave things about tom is how verbose and articulate he is, particularly when he's insulting someone "ludicrously capacious bag" and more -- but when someone really hurts him he struggles to convey that hurt. he keeps it as straightforward and clearcut as possible. like in the tomshiv beach scene. "i wonder if the sad i'd be without you, would be less than the sad i get from being with you." (still verbose, but he struggles to get it all out. verklempt.) and he struggles again, in the tomgreg saferoom scene. "this is, not a good feeling you're making me feel, greg." "yeah. i'm feeling .. i'm just feeling, a little bit, you know?"

#ᶻz﹒ ⸝⸝ ₊˚ 𝐨𝐨𝐜: is this real?#/ u can tell he really is . the average man socialized to keep all his Deep Feelings Inside and Die with them there #/ love the progression of tom going 'yes i'm ok. why are u asking me if im ok??' whenever greg asked #to outright saying. No . i'm not okay. i'm sad . after watching logan die #ᶻz﹒ ⸝⸝ ₊˚ 𝐨𝐨𝐜: meta.
