Woman. Life. Freedom. Not many years have passed since I wrote my three-year thesis on Iranian women artists, thinking of the other half of me, that half that's part of a now battered and bloody land. This is one of the acrylic paintings that I had presented among my works for the thesis, the representation of a woman still submissive and hidden by the veil but holding a flower of hope in her hands. I pray every day that my people, women in particular, may live freely. Be aware of the power we have, as women and as human beings.
