Has Arlo/Rabbot ever met Necrosis? And/or does Necrosis know about Arlo?

ᯓ🐰☣️˖°// Yes! Though, they’re both a bit removed from each other in the grand scheme of things … for now.

Rabbot has for sure met Necrosis before, even if it had took him awhile. It’s hard not to be aware of Father Necrosis, especially in ATLAS circles— the guy is an extremely renowned and high-ranking scientist in the organization.

(Father Necrosis is typically viewed in-universe by the general public as this extremely eccentric, if not super private but charitable, rich guy. lol. lmao even. best believe the ATLAS PR team is the hardest working department of all)

Arlo has only ever met Necrosis under his Rabbot alias, and unfortunately, shares the same opinion as the general public does. ✊😔 “He’s a strange cat, but he’s cool!” <-this is before he learns the truth about ATLAS’ … underground endeavors, of course.

Meanwhile, Necrosis is VERY aware of Arlo and knows far too much about him (even more than Arlo knows of himself).

However: Necrosis is ultimately disinterested in the speedster at the moment. Partly because Arlo (and his former team) was never his experiment to concern himself with, but mostly because Arlo doesn’t have much potential in Necrosis’ current regenerative obsessions studies.

tl;dr rabbot thinks necrosis is a weirdo but a good dude! necrosis does not give a single fuck about this bnuuy.

ᯓ🐰˖° “Hey, hey, no worries—it’s not a problem at all!” Rabbot assured again, somehow cool and confident as his gloved finger rubbed underneath the nose of his helmet. “It’s what I do.”

This wouldn’t be the first time Rabbot would play the part of an ever-vigilant-escort. Back in the day (and if the person could keep their lunch down), he’d even whisk away people who ran late to work! The fastest taxi alive … he remembered the jokes flung at him by his teammates like they were yesterday.

But if Arlo could help someone in need or keep them safe, even if it was ‘trivial,’ then how could he ever say no? He'll make sure she gets home safe and sound tonight.

“Yeah! My name is Rabbot. It’s nice to meet you, miss.”

The cotton-tailed crimefighter nodded with a pep in his step as he hopped beside the bartender. Despite the chipper attitude, he kept his volume soft, as if she were the spooked rabbit. It's just ... someone as sheepish as her in a hotspot for villainy? The thought of this being her usual route home twisted up his heartstrings.

Lilli wasn't to concerned that the hero looked through her disguise. It still caught her somehow off-guard to meet him on her way home. And it probably shouldn't surprise her either that he offered to walk with her.

ᯓ🐰˖° // lol. lmao even. Rarely— if ever! He’s fooled around a little somewhere after his teenage years but before the whole ‘stuck in a timeloop then spat out +35 yrs in the future’ thing; but when you’re a child soldier hero devoted to the cause … there’s not a lot of time leftover to mingle.

ᯓ☣️˖° // Maybe long ago, back in his prime and when he wasn’t infected by a muscle-rotting intergalactic disease … but alas, traditional means of intimacy are hampered by that pesky detail— so he isn’t really out in the market. He is forward, however. Rest assured he’s a gentleman when flirtatious, but do keep in mind he’s still much more likely to try and spin any sort of interest towards him for his own benefit. <-(you’ll let him make you into a superior version of yourself, won’t you?)

ᯓ🐰˖° // I don’t think I mentioned it on the blog yet, but there is/will be a part in Rabbot’s story where he does inevitably defect from ATLAS and ends up bunking with Doc and Ophelia at the farmhouse (unless he ends up bunking with another muse a la ✨plotting✨)

Either way, I like to think his suit gets a little more scrappy looking + punk-flavored after Doc becomes the one who handles all of Rabbot’s repairs+upgrades (ie. mix-matching parts, spray-paint, stickers, etc)

His pawblades will have more frequent upgrades and undergo much more tests thanks to Doc, too. Rabbot isn’t aware of it rn— but ATLAS purposely doesn’t work on any attempts to enhance his prosthetics to withstand his super speed. <-(that makes the speedster easier to manage)

In a thread, he recently said he’s been superheroing for 10 years! <-thats a little off though. He started when he was 16 and he’s 25 now, so that’s 9 years … BUT … 3 years in the timeloop brings that up to 12 years.

Does that mean much in the grand scheme of things? No, not really. Just don’t trust him when he says something will only take 5 minutes.

ᯓ🐰˖°// im frothing at the mouth for others to find out he's displaced out of time!!! <- this one is a bit of a toughie, since i think it'll best be done organically and maybe after another muse has known him for awhile.

However, he also isn't secretive about it, either. It's just not something Arlo really ever finds the point in bringing up (and undoubtedly, it's something that causes more problems than it's worth).

Arlo tells someone he's from the 70s and I guarantee most people won't actually believe him, at least not genuinely. "Sure thing, buddy ... hey ... how hard did you hit your head when you did that flip on ur wheelchair ... ?"

I do dig the idea of someone putting the pieces together, though! Either on accident or by connecting the dots or whatever have you :)c

TIMELOOP

ᯓ🔥🐰⏱️˖°// The timeloop that Rabbot, or at the time Hotshot, was trapped in wasn’t a terrific sort of Groundhog Day. No end of the word or big exodus event that’d trigger the repeat— instead, it was whenever Arlo fell asleep.

An important thing to note was that he hadn’t died once during those 3 years! Quite lucky, given that would have been a permadeath for the speedster. Not like Arlo had any clue about this … he just figured it’d be best not to fuck around and find out (and right he was).

Oddly enough, no one else in the timeloop died either. They very much could have for whatever reason! But being the hero he is, Hotshot wasn’t about to let any of that happen, no matter how many times he had to save the same person from the same fate.

Maybe if someone had died, Arlo would have found out that they’d be forever missing from the timeloop.

To make things even weirder was that the timeloop existed in its own bubble. He couldn’t go too far past the city’s limits, or else it’d just loop him back to the other side (almost like a portal)! Trapped in time in what was essentially a giant snowglobe.

Despite all of that, what’s really important to note was that Arlo hadn’t killed a single soul in the timeloop. I mean of course, no one died like previously mentioned. But it’s the fact that in those one thousand and ninety-five days: Arlo chose compassion each and every time.

The small things, too. Helped out the same elderly couple water the same rooftop garden, stopped the same corner-store burglary downtown, walked the same kid to school after he missed the bus, etc etc etc.

If he let someone down or wasn’t there for them, even if it was for one day and even if they’d always forget— he’d remember it, and isn’t that enough?

Sending emojis with sexual innuendos, and heaven forbid he finds out about those long copy-paste memes where there’s 50 million emojis and the horny is ramped up to 100. If he wanted to go a long-distance sort of steamy session, he’d much more prefer a phone-call! With pictures ……………… he’d be a lot more coy at first. A cute photo of him working out or getting out of the shower maybe. The longer him and his lover are together though, the more risky he gets (especially if he knows they’re somewhere they shouldn't be opening it LMAO)

ᯓ🧪˖° // While you saw it here, let's get a little more nitty gritty >:)c in a hilarious form of hypocrisy, he much more prefers to be pinned down by his partner versus an instrument like a gadget or a gizmo. If his partner happens to be nonhuman, that preference skyrockets. If the gadget or gizmo or weapon happens to be held by the other, he still enjoys that versus being restrained by other hands-off methods. It’s both oddly comforting but also exhilarating!

If we’re bringing out all the labels, I consider her to be panromantic and demisexual; so gender doesn’t play into how she gets crushes. My own women-lover tendencies do sigh dreamily at imagining her with a woman though <3

ᯓ🐰˖° // Wouldn't you like to know, weather boy? >;)c Joking aside!!! He’s a fairly bit experienced in the kissing department (ie the small brief window of when he fooled around mentioned here), however ever since he popped out into the future it’s been go go go nonstop! So to say the least … he’d be a bit rusty at first. 

Plus, fingers crossed whoever he’s locking lips with also likes piercings or at the very least wouldn’t mind them. Yes he has a tongue piercing. Yes he did so for the sole purpose of making out. No he doesn’t regret it one bit he thinks it’s cool.

Anything that’s a first time with someone special will get his nerves all bundled up and his mind racing, so be a bit patient with how shy he can get— he’ll warm up to affection in no time.

bonus: his body sometimes speeds up into vibrations whenever he gets excited (yippee ! speedster biology) so he’ll find himself literally buzzing happy when he gets into a kiss.

ᯓ🐰˖° // Despite what his speedster biology and adrenaline junkie lifestyle can imply, Arlo loooves lazing around— chillaxin’ on a sunny day and dozing off into a snoozefest in the woods or in a park (anywhere outside given the weather is sunny) is his favorite!!!

He’ll also gladly take a comfortable nook somewhere or a big bean bag too … actually, he really isn’t that picky. On slow days in heroics, it’s not too uncommon to find Rabbot taking a load off and people watching in some weird vantage point, too!

That’s more so in Nowhere, however. He’s a bit more alert when in the suit while in different locations versus his home turf (though even then, you can still find him goofing around with the public)

🐰// I’ve been having a blast writing Rabbot, so much so that I feel like he’s quickly rising to be a primary muse on my roster tbh— he’s just sooooooo !!!

He’s a big goofball and i think between how he talks and how he acts, it can come across as him being an inexperienced troublemaker who’s in way over his head.

In reality, that couldn’t be further from the truth! Rabbot is extremely experienced as a hero, started from a young age at 16 with others to mentor him (being the youngest in his former team), that’s 10 years under his belt right there!

Even during the timeloop, there wasn’t a single moment where he threw in the towel or stopped helping people (and sure, maybe they’d forget with every reset: but he would remember).

There’s a light-hearted love that radiates off of him, but oh, does he take heroism so seriously!!! Both the big and small. The type of hero that’d risk his own neck to save even a villain each and every time, ‘cause they’re also still a life he swore to protect and save too, for better or for worse

tl;dr !!! Rabbot is an experienced hero whose love + hope for the world around him has only grown more and more— despite everything.

The SecUnit furrows its eyebrows, something it has gotten better at doing over the last months of practicing its expressions. Not that it doesn't believe the story, as weird as this seems... But what is it supposed to do about this? Report that human to StationSecurity? Ask if all the depictions of humans from the past in the media are appropriate? Okay, maybe start at the beginning and understand that human's motives. "And why would you come here to tell me about all that?" (To Arlo)

ᯓ🐰˖° Arlo blinked up at the SecUnit other person. Huh! That’s not the kinda question he was prepared for. Usually it was ‘are you out of your mind?’ or ‘how stupid do you think I am to fall for that?’ or ‘is there anyone I can call for you, sweetie?’

At least, that’s all he’s been getting this last hour (has it actually been that long? He couldn't tell). 

He can’t help the pained laugh that followed. Even his smile was strained. It was as if the poor guy was trying to keep his cool— but if how he trembled every so often (from nerves or fear, it was hard to tell) … he barely kept it together.

“Could—could you just tell me the date, man?” Arlo swallowed. Was his mouth always this dry? Adrenaline shot through him and his leg bounced in place as if it moved far too fast. Almost like he couldn't wait any longer, yet dreaded the answer all the same.
