After exploring Madras v. Flannel I was looking through my photos for that post when I noticed something when it comes to Darry.
When he is fighting with or trying to parent Ponyboy he’s in his work shirt. When he’s trying to be a guardian.
When he gets along with Pony and better at communicating his love and worry in a way that isn’t just raising his voice — Darry will be in a flannel or a t-shirt. When he’s more ‘like he used to be’
This isn’t mutually exclusive either, as when he hits Ponyboy he is in a flannel, this isn’t Darry trying to discipline as a guardian. It’s the action of Darry as a terrified older brother who flipped out. There’s no attempted reason behind it other than spur of the moment raw emotion.
There’s something to be said about it being Darry’s work shirt when he’s fighting/parenting. Taking on your younger brothers as a responsibility is work— managing two jobs, the house, your brothers, is work! It’s also marking when he’s at his most stressed/on the clock either just back from/headed to his job. Same goes for how he’s more ‘brotherly’ and easy to get along with when he’s in a T-shirt or flannel. This is when his clothes more align with being a Grease and youth! The clothes of a working class kid rather than just working class. A reminder that he’s still young and far closer to Pony’s level than he was say their fathers.

The Scent of Sector V Boys
Hey, just a heads-up—this post is all in good fun! The weirder parts are totally jokes but I couldn’t resist diving into what I imagine these characters would smell like as they grew up. Enjoy the weirdness!
Ever wondered what the boys of Sector V would smell like as they grew up? This is what I think they would smell like—or what their canon versions might go for (including my post-KND teenage AU). Yes, I may have way too much time on my hands, and I definitely think of the weirdest things sometimes—but hey, let’s have some fun! Let’s take a dive into their evolving scents—from their childhood days to their teenage years and finally, their adulthood!
Nigel Uno
Kids (10–12): Pencil shavings, freshly cleaned uniforms, and the faint smell of his mom’s detergent. Nigel is all about discipline and practicality.
Teenage Years (13–16): Unscented or lightly scented deodorant, like Dove Men+Care Clean Comfort or Speed Stick Fresh. Nigel values efficiency over flair and doesn’t think much about colognes.
Late Teens (17–19): He begins leaning toward minimalist colognes like Bleu de Chanel or Prada L’Homme, which are clean, elegant, and understated.
Adulthood (20+): Nigel’s final choice is something classic and commanding, like Tom Ford Oud Wood or Creed Aventus. Sophisticated and timeless, much like the leader he’s become.
Hoagie P. Gilligan Jr.
Kids (10–12): The faint scent of engine grease and peanut butter sandwiches. Hoagie’s inventing and snacking habits leave their mark, literally.
Teenage Years (13–16): Old Spice Swagger or Nautica Voyage. Light, fresh, and sporty, reflecting his laid-back personality. He doesn’t overdo it, making his scent approachable and fun.
Late Teens (17–19): Hoagie starts experimenting with slightly more mature options, like CK One or Versace Eros Flame. Playful yet polished.
Adulthood (20+): His signature scent becomes Acqua di Gio by Giorgio Armani. It’s aquatic, fresh, and subtly masculine, embodying his dependable and easygoing nature.
Wallabee "Wally" Beatles
Kids (10–12): Dirt, sweat, and faint hints of sugary snacks like candy or chocolate. Wally isn’t exactly one for hygiene at this age, so his natural “scent” is mostly the result of outdoor adventures and messy eating habits.
Teenage Years (13–16): Axe Dark Temptation or Phoenix. Wally goes through an Axe phase, applying way too much to “impress” people (read: Kuki). The overpowering scent of chocolatey musk or crisp freshness follows him everywhere, earning him plenty of teasing.
Late Teens (17–19): He transitions to something more refined, like Old Spice Timber or Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, with hints of sandalwood or citrus. Still bold, but more mature.
Adulthood (20+): Wally finally settles into a rugged yet subtle cologne, like Dior Sauvage or Armani Code. Warm, spicy, and slightly smoky—perfect for his grown-up, confident self.
Bonus: The Girls of Sector V
Since we’ve got the boys covered, let’s not forget the girls! This is what I think they might smell like—or what their canon selves might gravitate toward. And to continue the weirdness, here’s what I think the girls might smell like!
Kuki Sanban
Kids (10–12): Bubblegum and strawberries. Kuki smells exactly like her favorite candy, bright and cheerful! It’s a scent that perfectly matches her bubbly personality and love for all things colorful and fun.
Teenage Years (13–16): Bath & Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom or Sweet Pea. Floral, sweet, and delicate, reflecting her playful charm and growing sophistication. She’s the type to love a spritz of body mist before heading out.
Adulthood (20+): Chanel Chance Eau Tendre or Marc Jacobs Daisy. Fresh, light, and romantic, with a soft warmth that mirrors her kind and loving heart. Kuki’s adult scent feels elegant but still retains a youthful joy.
Abigail Lincoln
Kids (10–12): Cocoa butter and freshly baked cookies. Abby always has a comforting, homey vibe about her, thanks to her chill demeanor and her love of sweets.
Teenage Years (13–16): Victoria’s Secret Love Spell or Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus. Smooth, fruity, and effortlessly cool, just like Abby. She’d wear something that’s understated but still leaves an impression.
Adulthood (20+): Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt or Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium. A mix of earthy and sultry, reflecting her mature yet unapologetically chill persona. Abby’s adult scent is grounded but bold, just like her.
And there you have it—the scents of Sector V! This was all just for fun, so don’t take the weirdness too seriously. Honestly, I might have way too much time on my hands, but I couldn’t resist sharing this random idea. Hope you enjoyed!

Elements and Space Objects
The elements are an elevation of gender with and added layer of properties. The Primary, or Active Qualities, are Hot and Cold, which are identical to Masculine and Feminine traits. The Secondary, or Passive Qualities, are Dry and Wet, which give form and create the Elements.
Primary / Active Qualities: Hot v. Cold - temperature, demenor, energy.
The Hot quality is identical to Masculine energy.
Extroverted, expressive, self-expressive, fast-moving, light, bright, expansive, hot, visible, direct, conscious, vocal, dynamic, manipulative, extensional, and outward.
The Cold quality is identical to Feminine energy.
Introverted, subdued, self-repressive, slow-moving, weighty, dark, contracting, cold, invisible, indirect, unconscious, quiet, stagnant, sustaining, absorbent, and internal.
Secondary / Passive Qualities: Dry v. Wet - malleability, structure, texture.
The Dry passive quality is solid, resistant, strong, immovable, rigid, and breakable. There is a maintenance of form.
The Wet passive quality is fluid, receptive, soft, yielding, smoothing, and moldable. There is cohesion and adaptability.
Each element has a combination of the two different qualities giving it a unique demenor or Temperament. When I started studying the Elements and Temperaments have shown themselves to be interchangeable, so I usually address them that way. As you look at the traits of each element, you will also see the corresponding planets and signs associated with them. Take your time to think on their inherent nature in relation to these corresponding traits.
Fire / Choleric Temperament - Hot and Dry, Fire is self-expressive, bright, strong, and resistant.
Determined, driven, strength, dominating, assertive, willful, energized, quick, impulsive, impatient, temperamental, passionate, optimistic, inspired, self-motivated, high-achieving, result-oriented, prideful, courageous, destructive, creative, straightforward, demonstrative, concerned with personal identity, independent, impersonal, freedom.
Mars, the Sun, Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius share these traits.
Air / Sanguine Temperament - Hot and Wet, Air is dynamic, light, fluid, and receptive.

Honestly I don't know which of my mutuals who I normally tag in OC stuff do and don't feel comfortable with this sort of thing, so I'm gonna do an open tag! If you're reading this and want to do this meme, do it! And tag me in your answers. :)

Hector and Karlach!
(Almost did this for Rasaad and Jaheira because they've been rotating in my head a lot lately but maybe that will be another post if there's interest. XD )
Some of this is new for me to think about, but a lot of it is based on things that happen in Prayers and Hellfire and Quiet Zone.
A = Aftercare (What they’re like after sex)
Massive snugglefest. XD Karlach does take a mildly dominant role most of the time but it's always a v soft vibe between them so the drop is minimal, but both of them are always very high on the endorphins and very much wanting to be close. (This is the case always, really, though - being able to touch each other at all always feels like a tremendous gift under the circumstances.)
B = Body part (Their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)
I haven't written about this yet (it's on the never-ending to-do list) but Hector comes to be both entertained and fascinated by Karlach's tail - especially when he discovers that it is very sensitive on the underside right at the base.
Karlach, if asked this question, would immediately joke that she likes hs ass and his tongue, but the truth is she finds his eyes mesmerizing.
C = Cum (Where does your muse prefer to cum/have someone cum?)
Almost always inside. Hector definitely likes this best as it feels very intense and intimate and lets him give up any sense of his usual discipline, but he would change it up if Karlach asked him to. Luckily, though, she feels the same way, and after her raunchy adventures in her youth in Baldur's Gate she's very familiar with cleric services available to make sure nothing comes of it.
(This does mean she ends up bugging Shadowheart a lot until they get to the city. Shadowheart grumbles a lot about this.)
D = Dirty secret (Pretty self explanatory: a dirty secret of theirs)
Honestly, I don't think the two of them have many secrets between them? Hector is fairly reserved but Karlach could tell him she wants basically anything and he would be ready to give it a go.
They did basically pine excessively for each other in secret all the way up until Act 2 bc Hector never got Karlach's Act 1 romance scene. :P
E = Experience (How experienced are they? Do they know what they’re doing?)
Hector has never had sex before his first time with Karlach. Karlach has a tremendous amount of experience from her youth but is ten years out of practice.
Consequently, Karlach definitely knows what she's doing in a physical sense and is not shy about telling him exactly what she wants - and he is happy for the guidance. But even for her, their relationship is new ground in a lot of ways; she's never had a long-term relationship before, or one where the sex was so grounded in love.
So in that sense they're both equally inexperienced and the whole thing is very much a learning process. (I should make a note to write fic at some point about some bit of miscommunication or something that eventually happens because there's no way it's smooth sailing all the way through. XD )
F = Favorite position (This goes without saying)
"I want to ride you till you see stars," as Karlach says. She's often on top, which Hector enjoys; he likes feeling the intensity of her weight on him. (He's fully aware that she could snap him in half and he's only human and definitely finds that part of the appeal. XD )
Sometimes, though (as in Prayers and Hellfire), Karlach just really wants Hector to take control and blow her back out, and then they'll usually go for missionary. Hector likes this too - basically he prefers any position where he can look in her eyes during the whole experience.
Karlach also very much enjoys being fucked up against a wall, although their relative heights make this a little challenging sometimes. Once they're staying at the House of Hope during their Avernus campaign post-game, they find a lovely little corner of one of the bedrooms that has a molding lip at about Karlach's waist height, allowing her to lean against it to comfortably get a little lower and let Hector work her over, and it becomes their favorite part of the whole place.
G = Goofy (Are they more serious in the moment? Are they humorous? etc.)
It's not by accident that in Prayers and Hellfire their first time coming together is marked by laughter. :) (And basically all of Quiet Zone is marked by humor on some level.)
Hector is not a very goofy person by nature, and he does see sex (and sex with her specifically) as a sort of sacred act of connection, caring, service. But Karlach is a goofy person, and he enjoys that aspect of her very much - and she brings it out in him more than most people, too. So laughter and teasing are definitely a big part of their intimate moments together in almost all cases.
I think there are definitely individual times when it is more serious, however. There's certainly more than one time in their post-game Avernus adventures where the sex is coming in the aftermath of one of them having been in danger/injured. And probably there are times when Hector's comforting Karlach away from bad memories of her ten-year conscription and the loneliness it entailed - times when the act itself is a lot more emotional.
H = Hair (How well groomed are they? Does the carpet match the drapes? etc.)
I'm with those who headcanon that Karlach doesn't bother shaving anywhere. Maybe she did back in the city, but certainly not in Avernus - why would she? - and the habit definitely never came back. Hector is not bothered by this; it's fully something he never had any occasion to give any thought to prior to knowing her, and he doesn't intend to start now. I don't think she has super thick body hair (I don't really see tieflings as having it in general), but what she does have is dark like her head hair.
Hector has lived a very disciplined lifestyle and as such takes pretty rigorous care of himself in terms of cleanliness and personal grooming. He has a medium amount of body hair, also very dark and speckled with grey like his beard and head.
Not quite the intention of the question but Karlach also really enjoys his beard. She likes to fidget with it and feel the texture of it when they're lying around snuggling. c:
I = Intimacy (How are they during the moment? The romantic aspect)
They are such enormous saps for each other it's not even funny. XD And given the way their relationships started, the whole thing is VERY about touch, even more than it would be for most people. No matter what position they're in it's always about being pressed very closely together so as much of them is touching as possible. As mentioned above, Hector really likes being able to look into her eyes and feel as connected as he can during the whole experience.
J = Jack off (Masturbation headcanon)
Masturbation was Hector's only sexual release for his whole life before he met Karlach and it was always something that had to be pretty furtive and secret. He doesn't really have much occasion to do it once they're together, given Karlach's libido, but a few times he does end up pleasuring himself in their tent on nights when she's too tired/injured from some adventure to really participate.
The first time this happens, she notices it - and also notices the fact that he's trying to be subtle/quiet/unnoticed, out of habit from how he would do it in the monastery. And, even though she's too wrecked to actually get involved, she nudges him to not be secretive about it and let her watch and it ends up being a surprisingly intense moment for both of them.

K = Kink (One or more of their kinks)
This feels weird to say given how horndog Karlach is, but I actually don't see either of them as being particularly kinky? I don't think either of them has quite the imagination for coming up with real off-the-wall approaches to sex. XD Karlach describes her earlier sexual escapades as "if it moves, climb aboard", which doesn't suggest a very nuanced and varied approach, and Hector knows basically nothing and is operating primarily on instinct.
Consequently I think the closest they get to kinky stuff is the sort of soft-dom-Karlach dynamic they fall into right from the get-go, though occasionally they do end up experimenting with reversing the roles.
L = Location (Favorite places to do the do)
Anywhere? Karlach's not particularly picky, certainly. XD
Between camp life and post-game Avernus adventures, they definitely learn to be kind of undiscerning in what constitutes ideal conditions for sex. However - moments like the Act 3 romance scene, where they're actually able to get true privacy and take their time, consequently become very important to both of them. It's not really about exactly where they are, but about having that situation of being entirely to themselves for a while and not having to think about anything else.
M = Motivation (What turns them on, gets them going?)
They're both pretty good at getting each other excited simply by existing. XD Some turn-ons though:
Post-battle adrenaline (especially anything where one of them caught the other being a badass)
As mentioned in Quiet Zone, Karlach finds it really hot when Hector gets into super focused thinky mode. (She would have jumped his bones after the Ansur chess puzzle if the circumstances had allowed.)
Also based on Quiet Zone, I think Hector quite enjoys being distracted by her when he's in the middle of something (as long as it's not something critically important). Something about having his life of cerebral pursuits interrupted by emotion letting himself get swept up in her raw physical power over him. This pairs well with Karlach who loves watching him try (and fail) to keep control of himself in these situations.
(Hm. Maybe I'm changing my answer slightly on the "kink" section; I feel like maybe they'd enjoy one of those situations where he's trying to work on something and she's under the desk. XD )
N = No (something they wouldn’t do, turn offs)
Given Karlach's history with being conscripted and trapped, I don't think either of them would ever even think about anything involving restraints, degradation, humiliation. It's all very much about being excited and supportive and safe with each other. (I do have a fic in mind involving Hector taking charge and giving her orders in a sort of military vein, but it would be very much about removing that bad situation's power over her and making it a safe thing between them, and never about any real power play.)
O = Oral (preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc.)
As evidenced in Prayers and Hellfire, Hector is an ENTHUSIASTIC giver right from the get-go. It's a big moment for him in that fic when he realizes that sex is powerful because it's a way that he can make the woman he loves feel incredibly good, and he absolutely loves to lose himself in that "sacred duty" in every way possible.
Karlach enjoys returning the favor but Hector is on another level with it. XD I don't think he's extraordinarily skilled at first (things go so well in Prayers and Hellfire less because he knows what he's doing and more because they're madly in love and Karlach is so excited to be getting anything after ten years), but he's a fast learner and takes direction very well.
P = Pace (are they fast and rough? slow and sensual? etc.)
Really depends on the night. Sometimes when they're both worn out or feeling particularly sentimental, it'll be a slow, drowsy, exploratory sort of process. But probably more often they're pretty intense; I'm not sure "rough" is quite the right word, but... "fierce"? Generally they just want each other real bad and don't see any point in holding back. :D
Q = Quickie (Their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.)
Once they're together in Act 2, they are definitely having sex a LOT when the occasion permits - but most of it is in camp and consequently has to be somewhat furtive. So they have no shortage of quick romps when a brief window of time emerges. :P As mentioned above, they both prefer when they can really get some privacy and take their time - but circumstances often don't permit that to be the case, so quickies are very much on the menu in between.
R = Risk (Are they game to experiment? Do they take risks? etc.)
Game? Yes. Do they? Not really. Again, as mentioned above, I don't see either of them as being incredibly imaginative in this regard. It's about the closeness in any form and they're less concerned about specifics.
(But Karlach literally just has to say the word on any idea she has and Hector is there for it. :D )
S = Stamina (How many rounds can they go for? How long do they last?)
Hehehe. Hector is a monk. XD His body is his weapon and his tool and he grew up in an enviroment dedicated to self-denial, self-control, discipline, and physical training. This man's stamina is legendary.
Unfortunately, as previously mentioned, most of the time they don't really have time to take full advantage of this since their time is usually a bit limited. But on the occasions when they can - such as the Act 3 sex scene - Hector definitely takes her for enough rounds that she's walking funny the next day. XD Karlach is suitably impressed, because her libido is such that it takes some doing to make her feel fully spent.
T = Toys (Do they own toys? Do they use them? On a partner or themselves?)
Hm.
As I discovered by accident while flycamming the Act 3 sex scene, Hector does enjoy butt stuff. XD So he might actually be down to get pegged. That said, whether it actually happens much, I don't know. I don't think I see them as using toys all that much, to be honest - not out of unwillingness but just because it doesn't come up.
U = Unfair (How much they like to tease)
Karlach likes teasing Hector a lot (as evidenced in Quiet Zone) because she likes seeing him get worked up and struggling to keep composure - and how fierce and intense he gets when it becomes too much to bear.
Hector is a little more direct, I think. When he's giving her pleasure, that's his primary focus and he's like a guided missile.
V = Volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.)
As mentioned, a lot of their adventures are in camp, so there's a certain amount of emphasis on having to stay quiet. (It always amuses me when I read fics with secret trysts in camp where there's lots of moaning and crying out happening. That is no longer a secret tryst; those tents are canvas which is not known for its soundproofing capabilities. XD )
Hector is better at the quiet than Karlach is. He tends to get very focused and internalized during the whole experience and everything comes out in little intense whimpers rather than real loud noises most of the time. Karlach is much more vocal and has to put a significant amount of effort into not screaming loud enough to wake everyone up; she does a pretty good job most of the time but nevertheless everyone is fully aware of what is happening.
Post-game in Avernus Hector takes a few more levels in cleric and gets hold of the Silence spell which helps the situation. XD
W = Wild card (a random headcanon for the character)
Following on from the above - there is a potential monk line which the player can get when sleeping with the drow prostitutes in Sharess's Caress: [MONK] "I stop breathing sometimes when I'm focused. Don't disrupt me, I'm in control."
This definitely happens to Hector at some points - sometimes when he's pleasuring Karlach or they're fucking, but most often when she's focusing on him for the moment. There's a hint of this in Quiet Zone:
It doesn’t take long before he’s hard as a rock in her hand, the heat of his skin against hers rivaling the sweltering Avernus air around them. The rest of his body, still trapped between her and the bookshelf, has gone limp; his weight sags back into her, his head rolling into the crook of her neck. His eyes are closed, lips slightly parted, focusing on her touch with absolute, intense concentration.
He doesn't quite reach the no-breathing point in that fic but in similar scenarios it can definitely happen, and it scares the shit out of Karlach the first time she notices it. (Hector doesn't think to warn her because I don't think he realizes it could happen. XD )
There'll be a fic about this at some point.
X = X-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes)
Both of them are supremely fit people, although in different ways. Hector's body is all lean muscle, slender and quick, and he's considerably smaller than Karlach in bulk as well as in height. He starts the game in a lot of ways pretty unblemished; there are a few scars from his training but not many. However, he starts aquiring more as the game goes on, particularly a very heavy scar across his shoulder from the Myrkul fight which the bone chill effect prevented Shadowheart from healing before the scarring could take root.
He's well enough endowed but not dramatically so; everything about him is a testament to the phrase, "It's all about how you use it."
Karlach, by comparison, is much bigger and more visibly muscular, and her whole body is covered in scarring, tattoos, and the marks of the engine's functioning in her body. THe most striking thing about her when she's naked is that her whole body has the same subtle glowing effect that her visible chest does in game; her breasts and stomach and "intimate areas" all glow with the same effect that you get when putting your fingers over a flashlight.
Hector hates the engine being the reason for it but does think it makes her look even more beautiful.
Y = Yearning (how high is their sex drive?)
Karlach's is higher than Hector's definitely. Hector is almost always willing because his desire for her specifically is always present, but left to his own devices he could go long periods of time without really thinking about sex at all. He'll initiate sometimes but it's Karlach's drive that sets their pace more often.

Usually they tend to wear each other out pretty hard so the post-game is just curling up very tight together and falling asleep in one of several positions - sometimes Hector gets spooned up against her, sometimes he falls asleep on her chest, or sometimes she'll roll over on top of him and go to sleep on him like a big warm blanket. XD

The Prime of His Youth: Book V: Where There's Smoke: Ch12: Smoked
Cinderstream and "Broken Crown" drove up to a Carron that was actively waving at them.
"What's up, little bit?" Cinderstream asked her as they transformed.
She gave him a curious look.
"Golden Hind wants a cute nickname." Downshift added.
"Sierra wants Golden Hind to have a cute nickname." Cinderstream continued.
"She's calling her Doe." Downshift added.
"Did you want one?" Cinderstream asked. Carron just stared into the distance as the great social weight of the question hit her. "You okay?"
"Cinder, what the slag did you do?!" Downshift angrily asked him.
"Like I know?" Cinder asked him, and looked back to Carron, "You alright there?"
"You... have no idea... the life... I've lived..." Carron muttered.
"Slaghead." Downshift accused Cinderstream.
"That's not..." Carron uttered, and both of the boys turned their heads to look at her, waiting for her to speak. She looked them both in the eyes in turn. "I keep thinking this is a dream that will break when I wake from powerdown."
Downshift and Cinderstream gave each other a confused look before turning back to her.
"I'm sorry..." Carron frightfully uttered, and the other two took a step towards her. They were worried, but did not know what to say. "Until this time, I used false bravado. Strength I had borrowed from Japheth."
"And... now?" Downshift asked her.
She looked him square in the eyes, as he fear became strength. She then looked Cinderstream in his eyes before looking back to Downshift. She then looked back to Cinderstream before speaking, "I am overwhelmed... I should say - overjoyed. So much so that I can barely speak."
"So?.." a confused Downshift asked, "You're..."
"Happy." Cinderstream asserted.
"You're happy?" a disbelieving Downshift asked her.
"That surprised someone actually likes you?" Cinderstream asked her.
"Scrapper." Downshift replied. The two looked shocked and turned to apologetically look back at Carron.
She smiled. "I'm happy. I... didn't think it would be possible."
"I mean, like?.." Downshift asked.
"I am pleasantly surprised." Carron said with a bright smile.
"Sooo?" Cinderstream asked.
"Hm?" Downshift asked him.
"Why we're here?" Cinderstream asked.
"Oh, slag!" Downshift exclaimed, and looked at Carron. "So, uh, did you find them?"
"They aren't exactly subtle." Carron simply replied, and Cinderstream gave her a confused look, "What?" she asked.
"You just seem - confidence?" Cinderstream asked, as Downshift walked passed her.
"Uh?" she said to Downshift.
"You going to show us the way?" he simply asked, and Carron looked shocked.
"We just want to have a little chat." Cinderstream stated, as he walked passed her on the other side.
* * *
"Now, tell me?" Airachnid wickedly asked, as she flew overhead of Smokescreen and Golden Hind, "is this mottley crew really the best the Elite Guard has to offer?" Golden Hind loudly laughed, while Smokescreen let out a weak laugh as well. "What?"
"We're actually the worst." Golden Hind loudly replied, leaving a palpable silence.
"I thought the uh, good - sergeant, was?.."
"They have the most potential." Smokescreen stated.
"What, really?" Golden Hind asked.
"You need more faith in yourself." Sierra stated.
"Or less." Smokescreen stated.
"Harsh!" Golden Hind exclaimed.
"He adores you." Sierra added.
"They also have the most discipline issues." Smokescreen added.
"That sounds more like us." Golden Hind interjected.
"They have trouble toeing the line." Smokescreen stated.
"Walking the line?" Golden Hind added.
"And, so?.." Airachnid tried to neutrally ask.
"I teach them that they don't have to." Smokescreen, simply stated, leaving a palpable silence.
"What? Seriously?" Golden Hind finally asked.
"How about you remind me of myself when I first met Optimus on the battlefield?" Smokescreen.
"You're stasis pod just opened up, and you were surrounded by 'Cons, right?" Golden Hind asked.
"I love this story." Sierra whistfully said.
"Considering we have a new tag-along, I'll probably have to tell the whole thing." Smokescreen added.
* * *
"That's it?!" Airachnid asked.
"I don't know what you were expecting?" Sierra asked.
"Action, adventure," Smokescreen stated, "I learned a valuable lesson that nearly cost Jack his life."
Airachnid imagined a world where he had died. He, the one that gave her redemption, what would happen if he had died during the war. She would be left alone, likely on the barren moon. Even if she wasn't, she would never have found a peaceful place. Her nose dropped, nearly causing her to crash. She transformed into a hard landing and stood still. Smokescreen and Golden Hind slid to a stop.
"What's your deal?" Golden Hind asked, but Smokescreen just silently watched her.
"More terrifying than you could imagine." Airachnid stated, and then transformed back into a helicopter, flying off ahead of them.
* * *
Carron landed outside of a side passage, with the low, red, periodic glimmer of flammers. The lights ceased.
* * *
The lumbering forms walked towards her. One of them took wing and flew up. He circled around her once before landing hard. "Hey, it's the bug?" Swoop asked.
"Griffonfly." she firmly, confidently replied.
"And that is?.."
"From the same era of Terra's history as your dinosaurs." Carron confidently replied.
Swoop reverted to his robot form, "So, does that make you a Dinobot, too?"
"No!" she instantly replied.
"Oh, yeah?" Swoop asked.
"Apologies, but not technically, nor..."
"Or?" Swoop asked, as the other Dinobots walked up.
"My values follow Japheth Prime?"
"Is that who sent you?" Slug asked. Carron simply glared at him. "What?" he asked.
"I was sent on his behalf, but I was sent by Smokescreen." Carron uttered.
"What's that mean?" Sludge asked.
Carron looked Grimlock in the eyes, and he transformed to glare at her. After a moment, he spoke, "I will speak with him!" he shouted.
* * *
Moose Runner and Landslide stood outside of the side tunnel. Airachnid landed a good distance away, eyeing them.
"We don't smell that bad." Moose Runner stated, and then looked at Landslide on the far side before looking back to her, "Well, at least I don't."
Airachnid rolled her eyes, "Is that the only things you boys ever think about?"
"Think?" Landslide asked.
Airachnid rolled her eyes and looked to the side, seeing Carron standing there. She quickly strided over to her. "I expected more than you just standing gloomily to the side."
"I - am gloomy?" she asked.
"I was more worried about where the other two boys are?" Airachnid asked.
"Oh?" Carron asked, "They are exploring."
Airachnid then looked at the side entrance, flanked by Moose Runner and Landslide.
"They found the Dinobots a... little rough around the edges." Carron replied.
"That's one way to say it!" Landslide replied, and Airachnid visciously glared at him.
"Not playing your little game?" Airachnid visciously asked.
"Landslide is a little - worried." Moose Runner stated.
"Slag off." Landslide replied.
Smokescreen and Golden Hind drove up. Smokescreen transformed, and took a step, lunging down enough to gently place her on the ground without breaking stride. Golden Hind transformed, and looked away, nervously.
"What's up, Doe?" Sierra asked.
"What do you mean something is up?!" Golden Hind nervously asked her.
Sierra held up her arms, once again like a children asking to be held. Without thinking Golden Hind ducked down to pick her up. She stood up, and turned to look back where they came from. "Care to share?" Sierra asked.
"Not really."
"Well, I'm here if you want to." Sierra replied.
Without slowing down or looking back, Smokescreen walked passed Landside and Moose Runner.

Exhibition V
On the Enviro Corps side, the chromed spade held a unique allure. Mounted on the back of the formal harness, it symbolized the dedication to environmental preservation and the tangible reward for completing their training. Jack explained the personal connection each member had with their spade, making it a meaningful representation of their commitment.
IU664 glanced at the Life Guards' propaganda poster, a colorful display promising a range of offerings:

With a hint of cynicism, Jack commented, "Quite the menu they've got there. Kids Clubs, Conscript Service, Advanced training—sounds like a one-stop-shop for life in the Republic."
IU664 smirked, "A place for your conscript service, indeed. They make it sound like a vacation package. 'Come for the conscript service, stay for the advanced training and education.'"
Jack added, "And don't forget the reservists' duty places. Always good to have a backup job in case saving lives gets old."
They exchanged knowing glances, recognizing the carefully crafted messaging in the poster and the reality behind the glossy promises. The Life Guards, like other conscript services, had their own unique way of presenting the mandatory service as an appealing choice.
IU664 and Jack examined the poster, featuring idealized representations of Life Guards with sleek, hydrodynamic bodies:
IU664 quirked an eyebrow, "Look at that. Perfect bodies, all smooth and hydrodynamic. They really know how to sell the image, don't they?"
Jack chuckled, "Well, they've got to make it look glamorous. Who wouldn't want to be part of a force with such perfect, water-ready physiques?"
IU664 nodded, "It's all about the image. Even if the reality involves more paperwork and protocol than the glossy poster suggests."
As they continued their exploration of the exhibition, the contrast between the carefully crafted propaganda and the nuanced reality of conscript service in the Republic became increasingly evident.
IU664 and Jack exchanged glances, recognizing the subtle recruitment strategy hidden behind the seemingly innocent swimming lessons.
IU664 remarked wryly, "Clever move. Start them young, get them comfortable with the water, and then, when the time comes, introduce the idea of joining the Life Guards. It's a long game they're playing."
Jack nodded, "Yeah, it's not just about swimming; it's about planting the seed early. By the time these kids grow up, the idea of joining the Life Guards becomes a familiar and accepted path. Sneaky, but effective."
IU664 chuckled, "And the Paramedic Corps youth clubs—wonder if they practice applying chastity cages on each other."
Both conscripts exchanged amused glances, recognizing the subtle ways in which each corps tailored its youth programs to mold future recruits according to their unique ideologies.
The curator, a civilian woman, intercepted IU664 and Jack as they exited the exhibition. Her eyes gleamed with curiosity as she probed for their insights.
IU664, ever precise and disciplined, conveyed his observations with an air of efficiency. "Ma'am, the exhibition provided a comprehensive glimpse into the diverse conscript services. Each force has its unique ethos, from the paramedic's disciplined conditioning to the Enviro Corps' commitment to environmental stewardship."
Jack, the easygoing Enviro Corps conscript, chimed in with a lighthearted tone. "Yeah, it was an eye-opener, ma'am. Got to see the full spectrum—from paramedics in armor suits to us green thumbs with our spades. The Republic sure has a colorful palette of conscripted services."
The curator listened attentively, appreciating the distinct perspectives of the two conscripts. "And do you believe these insights will help forge better cooperation between the forces?"
IU664 responded with assurance, "Absolutely, ma'am. Understanding the strengths and duties of each force builds a foundation for efficient collaboration. It ensures that when the time comes, we can seamlessly integrate our efforts for the benefit of the Republic."
The curator smiled, recognizing the potential for enhanced cooperation among conscript forces.
IU664, standing tall in his red tactical paramedic armor, locked eyes with Jack, clad in his green Enviro Corps boilersuit. "Take care out there," IU664 said, his voice clear and resolute, the embodiment of the Paramedic Corps discipline.
Jack, more laid-back, gave a casual salute. "You too, Iuu. Maybe catch you at one of those youth clubs, practicing our spade-handling skills."
A chuckle escaped IU664, and he nodded. "Perhaps. Stay green, Jack."
And with that, they parted ways, each heading back to their respective groups.

on twitter everyone is losing their mind about the alleged aegon the conqueror prequel and the supposed pitch about aegon being a "drunken lout" or something. but like
even if that was the case, they seemed bothered by the idea of aegon being interesting. like, most of the criticism of a supposed pitch that we have no information about besides one tiny tidbit with zero context. it's merely the idea that aegon i is anything less than "the most disciplined" of the targaryen kings or something. but aegon i is easily the most boring of the aegons in the story because he has no actual personality. i mean this so very genuinely.
aegon ii even with the small amount of characterization that he recieves in fire and blood, at least he had some defining traits and flaws, a character arc, and a downfall. aegon iii as well is a child at the end of fire and blood and got more characterization than the grownass aegon i. aegon iv is a terrible person, but we know so much about him and his actions and his relationships to other characters. aegon v is a main character of the dunk and egg stories.
meanwhile, aegon has no personality.
i saw the description, and being charitable, it could make sense for his character based on his supposed dream in house of the dragon.
mostly because i envision him as prince hal in this pitch. if you don't know, "prince hal" refers to the media critisim of the characterization of young henry v in shakespeare's plays henry iv, in which he is characterized as wayward youth who enjoys the company of petty criminals and wastrels. that is until his ascension in henry v in which he becomes this great warrior king who conquerors the french crown for england during the hundred year war.
basically the plot of netflix's "the king" with timothée chalamet (you know, the movie everyone in this fandom uses to make edits of book!jon snow, and fun fact, dean charles chapman aka tommen and tom glynn-carney aka aegon ii feature in this movie too).
so, i would imagine aegon the conqueror as a youth on dragonstone. his father, aerion, is ruling still and aegon is unmarried. perhaps he is like prince hal, with no real purpose in his life, just living his life up on the island with no responsibilities or burdens.
and then one day, he has his dream. of the white walkers, of the long night, of the prince that was promised. and perhaps it's this horrible dream that causes him to realize that he needs to end his past behavior and begin planning for the future, to prepare for the threat in the north. like how rhaegar found the prophecy and then decided that "it seems i must be a warrior", aegon will decide "it seems i must be a conqueror". and that's when we get him visiting westeros for the first time, ordering the painted table be made, etc.
or perhaps it's because of this dream that for a time he becomes a wastrel. much like his descendant, daeron the drunken who was also burdened with the gift of prophecy, who drank and whored to cope with the trauma of his visions. perhaps, aegon also sought to run from the burden of destiny in wine and ale. until he changed his mind and began his plotting of the conquest. maybe at the behest of his sisters, rhaenys and visenya, to not ignore his dream.
idk, but either of these would have the potential for character development. the idea that his mysterious (aka personality-deprived) characterization in fire and blood was due to a calculated transformation by aegon the conqueror to preserve his own mysticism. that he has not always been this person history views him as, but rather it was someone who he needed to become because he believed that he was required to by destiny.
perhaps i should have prefaced this post with the fact that i hate aegon the conqueror. and a show about the conquest is a terrible idea of a lot of reasons (a blackfyre rebellion show would be much better. honestly who do i have to pay to get a dunk and egg show?)
but this was the weird reason that fans latched onto that derives from the same problem a lot of stans had when hotd came out. which is that most characters in fire and blood are very bare bones, if they have any characterization to begin with. and readers fill in the blanks with their headcanons. but when adapted, the writers had to fill in the gaps themselves, and then fans get made when that doesn't match their headcanons. which to be honest, i do the same.
but until an actual synopsis is dropped, the outrage about aegon the conqueror's character assassination is ridiculous.
you need a character first to assassinate.

Okay, so this actually relates to my favorite US Supreme Court case ever: West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette

A religious family in Pennsylvania had gotten into a kerfuffle with their local school board (Minersville School District v. Gobitis) and the court established that religious freedom would not stop a school from kicking students out if the students (and/or their families) tried to use religion to get out of strictly secular affairs... in this case, the flag salute.
Something similar happened in West Virginia, but this time the Supreme Court ruled rather differently. The minority opinion was basically, "What about Gobitis?!?" However, the case made to the court hadn't been framed as a separation of church and state issue (ala Gobitis), but as breach of basic rights of all belief - including secular. The majority opinion is masterclass on the role of public of public education within a nation-state:
"Here, however, we are dealing with a compulsion of students to declare a belief. They are not merely made acquainted with the flag salute so that they may be informed as to what it is or even what it means. The issue here is whether this slow and easily neglected route to aroused loyalties constitutionally may be short-cut by substituting a compulsory salute and slogan."
"Free public education, if faithful to the ideal of secular instruction and political neutrality, will not be partisan or enemy of any class, creed, party, or faction. If it is to impose any ideological discipline, however, each party or denomination must seek to control, or, failing that, to weaken, the influence of the educational system. Observance of the limitations of the Constitution will not weaken government in the field appropriate for its exercise."
"National unity, as an end which officials may foster by persuasion and example, is not in question. The problem is whether, under our Constitution, compulsion as here employed is a permissible means for its achievement. "The Tifar." From the Book of Sirach, "The Manner of the Fern" 7: 22-26.
Do you want the bull but do not want to pay for the baloney? Are you concerned about chastity and sensibility? Do you think marriage is a great task that is wasted? If yes, then this frame, which is focused on herding cattle is for you.
Cattle represent monism. They are 229, רךט, "soft, gentle." They represent the sacred aspects of the Torah that manifest through the discipline of the self. One must not attempt to weather the temperament of a bull no matter how good the baloney is. Sirach says that is a sin:
22 Do you have cattle? Look after them; if they are profitable to you, keep them. 23 Do you have children? Discipline them, and make them obedient[f] from their youth. 24 Do you have daughters? Be concerned for their chastity,[g] and do not show yourself too indulgent with them.[h] 25 Give a daughter in marriage, and you complete a great task, but give her to a sensible man. 26 Do you have a wife who pleases you?[i] Do not divorce her, but do not trust yourself to one whom you detest.
A golden calf is the opposite of a regular piece of cattle. It represents greed and avarice, the lust for power rather than non-duality of a morally upright way of life. It will not give birth to a Godly way of life in the way of raising a real live cow.
The Values in Gematria
v. 22-23: Do you have cattle? Without cattle, "Leah" there are no possibilities for Jacob. Cattle are the object lessons contained in the Torah and the Tanakh that train the mind in the proper ways of an adult man. The Number is 7642, זודב, zodev, "Eve's equipment."
God explained the meaning of Es, the Tree, to Adam and Evil but they didn't listen. Es means "to make a plan to learn how to open and close the eyes", to "make instruments of wood out of the tree."
Jews as we know are obsessed with wood, and this is stated at the onset of the Torah, and is more or less the focus of the rest of the tome. Once one gets a piece of wood, one has a long road ahead and it must be walked upon with dignity and grace. The possibilities for cattle ownership are many if one learns how to turn the Tree into wood.
v. 24-25: Do not show off your overindulgences. We covered this. Yes, one is allowed to go into the barracks and horse around with the monkeys, provided one does not have a jealous falcon waiting at home. The Number is 11155, קיאנה, kianu, "vomit."
v. 26: Do not trust yourself to one whom you detest. This does not refer to the wife of the husband but to the self. The Number is 9569, טהוט, tahot, "the signal of power."
The sign of a powerful man is one who is demure. Tifar, the horny place, the place where things come undone, that which causes us to fall, becomes Tifaret when one performs in a way that is worthy of praise from others.
So one herds cows based on the goal of becoming good at Tifaret which requires knowledge of the Mishpatim found throughout the Torah. One cannot have bragging rights without Tifaret, and one will not demonstrate Tifaret without these.

The Prime of His Youth: Book V: Where There's Smoke: Ch07: S.S.
Japheth sat on the couch, looking about the Skyfall. Looking at all of the Femmes about the Skyfall. All of the Femmes that were, apparently, his concubines. He looked at Arcee, "Are we never just intimate anymore?"
Sirenia knelt down in front of the couch, "As the one who has known you the longest, I'd say you are even more intimate."
"Uh... huh?.." Japheth asked.
"You are more comfortable showing your intimacy in public." Sirenia said with a wide smile.
"He's got you there, Jack." Arcee said to him.
He reached his arm around her and pulled her close. He swore he heard a moan escape.
"And she is more free in accepting your affections." Sirenia stated.
"Siren." Arcee admonished, and Sirenia just smiled at her. Arcee looked about the Skyfall, at all of the Femmes. "To be fair, this is family, now. We're not exactly in public."
"Except for the pilot." Japheth uttered.
"Don't worry about me." Stormwright stated.
Japheth's eyes then focused on Airachnid. "And, uh?.."
Pyra Magna walked up, and stood Augustly before them, but also with a strange feminity, "You are the one she is loyal to. Ergo, you are the only one that can command her loyalty."
Rust Dust walked up, "She's a lot more sensual herself." she said, looking up at Pyra Magna. She then looked at Airachnid in her dark corner. "She's afraid you might not have her back."
Japheth let out a great sigh.
"She's right." Arcee stated, "You are the one that... reformed her. You need to take responsibility." Japheth gave her a disturbed look. "Not like that."
"Well, maybe." Pyra Magna stated, "But right now, she needs to know you trust her."
"You are the one that said you trust her." Arcee stated, "Even now."
"A few words of comfort." Japheth stated, "If you think it would work." He stood up, and made to walk passed Pyra Magna and Rust Dust, and paused, feeling strangely comfortable in their pressence. He wanted to reach around to hug them, but paused, uncertain.
"There will be time for that, later." Arcee lovingly said.
"When we get to New Kalis." Sirenia said with a smile.
Japheth found himself smiling at this thought, and shook his head as he walked passed. He walked over to Airachnid, who was looking about nervously in her corner. "Airachnid." he said sharply, powerfully. His accidental force caused her to nearly cower. "Sorry." he more quietly said, "I want you to know something. I don't know why. I don't know how. All I do know is that I trust you. I am happy you are here with us. I am happy you are watching us." She seemed less nervous, but still needed comfort. Without think he stepped forward and opened his arms, "Did you want a hug?" he asked.
Airachnid wasn't sure how it happened, but she found herself in his arms, and at that moment it felt like the only thing she had ever needed.

The black motorcycle with red flames watched the Elite Guard squadron drive headlong into a cliff. At the last few seconds they were obscured by a smokescreen. The wind cleared it quickly enough, leaving a bare cliff as the motorcycle pulled to a stop, completely unsure of what to do.

Golden Hind drove over the far edge of the cliff and transformed to Dollform on the way down. Smokescreen phased through the wall, tossing Sierra into the air. Golden Hind caught her on the way down and landed safely.
"Got you, Princess." she said to her. Sierra both blushed and glared. Smokescreen leaned down to kiss Sierra on the cheek. He activated the Phase Shifter before running back through the wall.
"Princess?" Sierra asked, stuck between offended and curious.
"If I'm Doe?.." Golden Hind.
Sierra rolled her eyes and smiled. "So, what's the plan?"
"Single Prominence S.S."
"S.S.?" Sierra asked.
"Smokescreen." Golden Hind stated. "Your little beau sucker punches the little bit following us."
"And?.."
"I cuddle with you, while the boys ambush anyone stupid enough to move in and look for us. I'll be real, if they have any discipline, this might take some time. You might want to setup your kitchen... and... unmentionable thing."
Sierra rolled her eyes, looked around, looked back at her, and gave her a questioning look. A Cybertronian cargo pod was dropped a dozen metres away; distortion waves appeared as it slowed down before landing.
"Well." Sierra asserted, and sat upright. Golden Hind knelt to put her onto the ground.

Smokescreen appeared out of the ground behind Flamewar. His left hand went under her left arm and up to her right shoulder while his right hand covered her mouth. She lifted her hand up to her comm. unit.
"Oh, that would bad." Smokescreen stated. Her hand reached her ear and... nothing happened. "If I didn't have a comm. jammer. Now, you want to tell me what's going on here, or should we wait until your friends have been dealt with?" Flamewar stood motionless. "Database ID is in. Flamewar." he said. "Kept changing allegiances. Is that just how Decepticons do things? I mean, seriously." Flamewar thought he was distracted and struggled. Before she realized what had happened, his right hand left her mouth, grabbed her right hand, and he throw her over his hip. She slammed into the ground, and when she recovered, she found her hands shackled. She struggled for a few moments before she sighing. She figured she would have a better chance once she was standing. Instead she found herself being pulled into the ground.

Smokescreen walked through the cliff, tossing Flamewar to the ground. When she tried to move she found her arms chained to a shackle around her legs. "It's called hog-tying." Smokescreen stated. Before she could react, he sat down on her. "It turns out Terra has some fun passtimes. Anyways. Your comms. are scrambled."
"Meaning you can't..."
"Oh, I can." he quickly replied. "But, I'm sure there is someone out there who can hear." he said, and left a palpable silence. "Oh, that's funny?" Smokescreen asked, "I know you know who I'm talking about, and your reaction means I know what I'm talking about. So, unless you just love the sound of my voice, why don't you give him a call?" A pregnant silence followed. Flamewar struggled, for a split second forgetting that she couldn't raise her hand. She quickly stopped, but not before Smokescreen noticed. "Oh, um, I was lying. Thanks for playing along, though. For being such a good sport, you'll get a gold star."
"I guess that's my cue." Sierra plainly voiced as she stepped out, and placed a gold star on Flamewar's cheek. "I'm Sierra, by the way."
"After the war, we had access to all of Soundwave's equipment and notes." Smokescreen simply stated. "So, he knows what happened?" He paused, and Flamewar said nothing. After a moment she glared at Sierra before looking away. "Oh, man, is this your first time being interrogated? You might as well have given me a signed confession." Another pregnant pause followed, "Now, we get to the good part, you were scouting so your friends could ambush us? And when we stopped, they started to move in?"
Smokescreen stood up and she saw what looked like a transmitter dropped by her head. "Do you hear that?" Smokescreen asked, and paused, the silence palpable. "You hear that blaster fire?" he said, and paused, and again silence reigned until a few dull thuds could be heard.

Downshift raced up and transformed into a sprint. The Decepticon tried to strike him, but Downshift spun around to elbow him. This staggered the Decepticon backwards, only to be elbowed down as he fell.

Landslide jumped down. On his descent he punched the Decepticon.

Cinderstream's flamethrower caused the Decepticon to stop and twitch in place. When he ceased, the Decepticon fell to the ground.

Moose Runner stepped out from behind a rocky outcrop to grab the barrel of a tank. "Huh, a tank?" he languidly asked.
"And what are you?!" the tank shouted in reply.
"What do you know about moose?" Moose Runner asked, and paused. Getting no reply, he grabbed the tank by it's barrel, picked it up, and swung it overhead, slamming it into the ground.

The four Decepticons, hog-tied, were dropped down, hard, next to Flamewar.
Smokescreen, seated next to Sierra, quickly jumped up into the air. "The gang's all here. Great. He then walked over to where he was visible to all of the prone Decepticons. "So, what's the plan?" he asked, and got no reply, "No-no, not this plan, because, I mean, it already failed. No, what's the long-term plan?" He paused again, and they nervously glared at him, "I mean, okay, you stop us, and the great Decepticon uprising succeeds?" he asked, as he paced in front on them. "So, who leads it?" he asked, and got no reply, "No-no, I'm serious. Soundwave put you up to this. Is he going to lead? Are you actually going to take orders from Soundwave?" Again, no reply, though they looked a lot more displeased this time, "Shockwave is working for Japheth." he stated, and paused. It was clear the Decepticons were not convinced by his argument. "He has more resources than he has ever had. It would be - illogical to do otherwise." Their faces immediately fell. "So, answer my question."
"Why should we?!" one of the Decepticons shouted.
"Because I'm a lot more friendly than Ultra-Magnus." Smokescreen quickly replied.
"And a lot more dashing." Sierra voiced. He quickly looked over to her and blew a kiss before looking back at the Decepticons.
"You've already spent your pardons." he stated. "If you want ANY hope of clemency, you've got to convince me, right now." he said, and glared at them. He stood still and upright, "Alright, that's it. Guard trucks will show up to haul you to to Iacon for trial."
"A fair trial?" Flamewar asked.
"Uh?.." Smokescreen distantly asked, "You attack a sergeant of the Elite Guard. Unless you were mind controlled by one of Shockwave's experiments, there's not exactly much hope of you getting off."
"You're just going to leave us here?" another Decepticon asked.
"Hm?" Smokescreen asked with disinterest, "We're going to babysit."
Moose Runner literally sat on the tank, now transformed and hog-tied.
"You know he doesn't mean it literally, right?" Golden Hind asked.
"Do you have a better idea, Doe?" Moose Runner asked, and she just glared at him.

Dr. Gang walked along the catwalk up to Shockwave's station.
"Dr. Gang?" Shockwave asked, and pausde, standing up and looking over at her.
"It's just..." Dr. Gang voiced.
"Is there a problem?" Shockwave asked.
"We don't really have any guards here, anymore..." Dr. Gang voiced, "I mean, if you plan to run away, you're not going to hurt the Humans are you?"
Shockwave paused for a moment before replying, "Despite evidence to the contrary during the Great War, I doubt the Humans here would provide any obstacle to my escape." He uttered, and Dr. Gang let out a great sigh of relief. "And it would be illogical for me to escape at this time, or at any time in the foreseeable future. I have more resources than when working under Megatron, himself."
"Uh-huh?" Dr. Gang asked.
"I have normally worked alone." Shockwave stated, "That way I do not have to..." he paused, and stared at her.
"You can say it." Dr. Gang voiced with false confidence.
"Seek approval from lesser minds." Shockwave stated. "Not that your mind is lesser. If your lifespan were a fraction as long as ours, you could become one of our greatest scientists."
"Me?" Dr. Gang asked, "Really? Not Knock Out?"
"Knock Out is..." Shockwave said, and paused a moment, "Far more reliable than I expected, but he is focused too much on how he is perceived to truly dedicate himself to science."
"Honestly?" Dr. Gang asked, "Yeah."
"And with your help, we are nearing the production of a functional warp gate." Shockwave uttered.
