Autumn Navratri starts from Pratipada Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Aso month. This year Sharadiya Navratri will start from 3rd October 2024, which will end on 11th October 2024, the day of Navami. The festival of Vijayadashami will be celebrated on 12th October 2024.

Autumn Navratri starts from Pratipada Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month and ends on Navami Tithi. On the first day of Navratri, kalashes are installed in homes. Magnificent idols of Maa Durga are installed in temples and public places. Special worship and aarti of Goddess Durga are performed for 9 days in big pandals.
