Sugar plum cake is very popular. It starts out soft with a layer of white dough and on the top sugar plum. The taste is constantly crescendo. The tone colour gives off a warm, gentle feeling as the dance of the sugar plum fairy of Tchaikovsky.
I really like the use of texture in the music as it is a simplistic piece of music form that is attempting to convey the delicate nature of a fairy.
How to prepare?
5 fresh plums in eights
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tea spoon selfrising powder
1 tea spoon of cinnamon
1/4tea spoon of salt
125 g soft butter
Half cup of sugar
2 eggs
2 tea spoon of vanilla+1/4 t.s of almonds
1 fresh grated lemon peel
125g cup of sour cream
Bake in 180C degree ,35 minutes +
Mix butter with sugar,add gently eggs,then vanilla,almonds, lemon"s grated peel, pour a flour mixed with cinnamon ,a baking powder, and salt. At the end sour cream.
Put in a round form .On the top put pieces of plum. Pour a little bit sugar. Spread the top with a melted butter.
