the prologue: age (16-21)

BIO:

Shortly after Khalfani and Mireille were murdered (as well as Leor being taken away), Lucy had gone to the only person she knew she could vaguely trust. She couldn’t go to anyone in the M.M.S. out of just how arbitrary her parents murder had been (it wasn’t as though it were something new if the M.M.S. wanted to snuff out one of their own). And although Amine wasn’t someone she knew well, she knew him -- and it was taking a chance with him, or nothing. (At least if she could stay for a night, a week, get her head on straight and figure out her plan of action, then--)

Dr. Janvier had been hesitant. Actually, if he had been frank at the time -- he didn’t want her anywhere near his house or family at all. Not because of her (well partially because of her, he watched her grow from a girl to a weapon), but because of what she represented. If someone really was out to get her, he wanted no part of it. That was only putting himself, and his entire family, at risk. Criminals never brought anything good. 

But Dr. Janvier was soft; had always been soft on her because she, in the end, was just a child. And that had been his downfall when she knocked on his door that night; hooded and homeless and asking him for a night but pleading in her eyes for something safer. It’d only taken a few days after that when he had sighed, and given her a room in his house. 

When a warrant had been issued for her arrest (state police finding it suspicious that ‘Lucille Asha’ had been conveniently out at the time of her parents murder), Dr. Janvier had hired her a legal team (closely affiliated with the underground world), and then on started the 3 year long trial of ‘ASHA v. THE PEOPLE.’ 

She was acquitted of all charges of first degree murder, at 19 years old, in December of 2013. Shortly after the trial came to a stop, and police attention had veered off to the next case (ultimately leaving her own cold with no leads), Lucille had moved to France with Dr. Janvier. It was here that she met Jean Dubois-Janvier, a university student studying medicine. 

To Jean, Lucy was quiet, inexpressive, and at a social disconnect. His grandfather, Amine, had advised him to give her space and to “not spend so much time around her.” But curiosity gotten the better of him, and soon Jean was spending most of his days off trying to get Lucy to open up. It was to no avail, and most of the time she wouldn’t even acknowledge him -- but eventually, just when he had been ready to give up, Lucy came to him. With her left hand cradled to her chest and soiling her shirt in red, and her fingers missing. 

Personality (16-21):

Lucy, dealing with the loss of her family, job, life, had grown reckless around this time. She hardly speaks, and when she does her answers are very short -- curt. She isn’t familiar with social cues, and isn’t culturally aware of how to interact with her peers. She’s prone to dissociative and destructive episodes, and it’s around 19 that she starts to go back into hitman work. Her jobs are more miscellaneous, and her methods are very brunt and violent (she’s likely to bludgeon someone to death). She primarily speaks French because of both setting and because it’s her mother-tongue, but when she does speak English it’s with a very thick Parisian accent. She’s rather.... void of most emotion, but she’s likely to act out in anger if someone could achieve it. Not cold, but she’s very expressionless. Always carries knives on her.

CLAPS HANDS TOGETHER, IT’S HEADCANON TIME.

Lucy got a salpingo-oophorectomy done at the age of 13. 

oophorectomy:

An oophorectomy is a surgical procedure to remove one or both of your ovaries. A salpingo-oophorectomy is a combined procedure of removing the nearby fallopian tubes.

This was done out of the order of her father, since Lucy was being bred and trained into a human weapon. There was no room for children, especially with a life as dangerous as hers was meant to be, and especially since her father saw no need. Her father had wanted her to get the procedure done as soon as she’d hit puberty around the age of 9, but Amine had pressed that that would only interfere with her development, since the ovaries do carry the hormones she needed to grow. And so the surgery was pushed back, but it was inevitable. 

Only one of her ovaries and fallopian tube had been removed, however. Amine had took pity on her; knowing the increased risks she could acquire in her development, and knowing this was an unfair choice being made for her, even if she couldn’t understand it. His change of heart had been a little too late, however, and he damaged the tube mid-extraction. He tried his best to repair what he could, but the chances of Lucy having children is about as slim as finding a needle in a stack of hay. It’s highly unlikely. Amine is also no gynecologist, and he can’t accurately estimate it. 

short term side effects (what she experienced post-surgery because she did have a bad time lmao):

nausea; vomitting

hot flashes

increased fever

fainting

shortness of breath

chest pain, etc

night sweats

long term side effects:

joint and muscle pain

muscle spasms (especially where her arm is severed. i.e. she has to rub it down until it calms)

recurrent urinary tract infections (BOY SHE GOTTA PEE A LOT LMFAO)

chest pain/or sudden heart palpitations 

emotional shifts: depression or anxiety most commonly

low sex drive (which i mean. she makes a lotta jokes and innuendos, but I have mentioned before she doesn’t entirely care for sex)

THAT BEING SAID. Though the chances of her having children of her own is little to none, it is speculated if she were to track her ovulation cycle, and continuously try and conceive for a period of 6 to 12 months before the age of 35, she can probably have a baby. Though Lucy is completely ignorant to what was really done during the procedure, and thinks she’s completely sterilized. Amine, himself, kept quiet because problems were only bound to arise between himself and her father, and hasn’t yet told her now that her father is dead. This is because he is still rather skeptical she could even bear children, because of the little mishap during the surgery. That, and she seems content without the idea, anyway.

i still needa write up a bio for her BUT, this what i got so far:

her name is Mireille

she used to work for Amine as a receptionist lmao 

She actually met Khalfani through Amine, and is prolly the reason why Amine is fond of Lucy/why he helps her for free cuz of the whole guilt thing

girl was POPPIN’ when she was younger. like she was v pretty yo,,,, and prolly where lucy got her big tiddies jkgjkh

she aged faster cuz of Stress(tm) and in her later years was just..... very tired and worn out most of the time. being with Khal suckt the soul right outta her and gave her wrinkles lmao

she sorta had a shift in personality as her marriage carried on longer. she went from soft and bubbly to just.... tired and dismissive more times than not. i felt like age and depression definitely ate at her and she just stopped caring about most things (because of her lack of power in her situation)? i feel like she was definitely in love at first, and the first...10 yrs or so were decent. but things just went downhill and so did she when she realized her situation. (which was, she couldn’t really do anything)

I feel like she was one of those people that naturally called attention when they walked into a room, and Lucy definitely mirrors this in her persona whether intentionally or not. (I also feel like Lucy is kinda an even mix of her mom and dad; she has her dad’s eyes, his demeanor, his height, black hair (even tho he technically bald lmao), his jawline, and they have similar ways of doing things. She has her mom’s nose, her cheekbones, smile, and i feel like if you stare at her long enough you could just tell that’s Mireille’s daughter lmao)

info: He’s an underground doctor, and has been in the business for awhile. Close to 35-40 years in the business. He owns a few clinics in France, and is an old ‘friend’ of Lucille’s father. There isn’t much information on him aside from word of mouth and medical degrees, since he tends to keep his private life under the radar. But he’s trained in his profession, and has gone from aiding stray criminals, to members of the Italian mafia, to even the obscure hitman organization Lucille’s father was apart of. Lucille tends to go to him for his medical services. He’s also the man who sewn Lucille’s skin back together after she’d sever her own arm.

personality:  He’s a man of his word; one that’s carefully learned how to mind his own business in the affair of criminals. He never asks how, why, or when. Nosiness, especially regarding criminal organizations, is the quickest way to get you killed, or unnecessary attention. He’s a quiet, observant man; always preparing a few steps ahead of himself, and always with a wise word of advice should he feel the situation calls for it. And though he lets Lucille live her life as she chooses, seeing her grow up and knowing her since she was a little girl -- he’s came to be a little fond of her, and keeps a distant eye on her. Never to interfere personally in her matters, but always to willing to help patch her up free of charge. He’s a tired and exasperated old man, but he’s come to think of her as a granddaughter of sorts. Even if she’s a little shit and he sick and tired of her shenanigans.
