The  alarm  in  Sigyn's  mind  hadn't  come  from  the  sudden  contact  with  her  husband , but  it  had  actually  been  from  the  warning  to  come  with  her  armor.  And  he  was  in  the  catacombs  under  the  palace??  Needless  to  say  there  was  definitely  some  worry  about  what  she  might  encounter ... But  also  for  the  well  being  of  her  husband.

She  knnew  he  could  take  care  of  himself.  He'd  always  proven  that  time  and  time  again.  It  didn't  chase  away  her  worry  as  she  summoned  her  green  and  gold  armor  that  matched  Lokis , and  made  her  way  down  into  the  caves.

It  was  dark , but  the  aura  produced  by  her  magic , a  brilliant  golden  white  lit  the  way  as  she  made  her  decent  down  into  the  caves  and  deeper  into  the  catacombs.  Her  steps  were  quiet.  She  knew  Loki  would  know  she  was  approaching , unaware  that  her  attempts  to  keep  her  approach  unknown  were  pointless  upon  the  beast  that  Loki  had  been  calling.

The  singing  was  something  she  did  not  expect  however.  She  heard  it  before  she  could  even  see  him , and  her  brows  furrowed  before  continuing  to  take  measured  steps  until  he ... and  the  creature  had  started  to  come  into  view.

It  was  a  magnificant  beast , though  it  also  managed  to  strike  fear  into  the  Goddess , though  it  was  a  healthy  one.  She  continued  pressing  forward , seeing  Loki  so  calm  and  unconcerned  about  the  ancient  creature  attacking. them , and  reached  although  somewhat  hestitantly  for  her  lover's  hand.  His  instruction  was  heard  loud  and  clear , leaving  Sigyn  to  feal  just  a  little  but  more  at  ease  over  what  he  was  asking  of  her.

" So  this  is  what  you've  been  hiding  away  down  here  doing. "    she  mused  with  a  bit  of  a  smile.  Gazing  up  at  the  magnificant  beast.    " They  are  truly  remarkable.  But .. What  reason  do  you  have  to  summon  them  my  love? "

For  all  of  the  times  she  had  watched  Loki  make  the  various  choices  in  his  life ... none  of  them  had  ever  caused  the  wife  of  the  God  of  Mischief.  There  had  been  times  where  perhaps  she  had  been  disappointed , yes ... frustrated , absolutely ... but  nothing  that  ever  made  her  outright  angry  with  him.  Loki  was  who  he  was , and  even  the  parts  of  him  that  in  times  he  leaned  too  much  into ... were  parts  that  she  had  come  to  fall  madly  in  love  with.  Had  those  things  not  been  a  part  of  him , he  wouldn't  be  the  man  she  called  hers.

Understanding , and  patience  were  her  two  strongest  traits.  She  needed  them  to  be  married  to  one  such  as  Loki.  His  actions  had  not  cause  too  much  hinderance  upon  the  day. Luckily  the  hour  was  still  very  much  young.  Still , she  couldn't  help  the  way  her  lips  curled  when  she  finally  saw  those  eyes  opening  and  looking up  at  her.

From  the  looks  of  the  throne  room , the  two  brothers  had  quite  the  time  when  the  festivities  had  died  down  for  most.  The  events  leading  to  her  waking  up  alone  when  she  though  Loki  would  have  just  been  along  in  a  wee  hour  of  the  night.  It  wouldn't  have  been  the  first  time.  While  often  times  she  was  full  of  energy , there  was  the  occasional  evening , when  she  was  called  to  sleep  sooner  than  her  dear  husband.  It  merely  took  reaching  out  to  him  when  she  woke  that  she  was  assured  he  was  just  fine , and  had  set  out  to  seek  him  out.

The  Goddess  shrugged.  That  smirk  still  on  her  features  to  ensure  that  she  wasn't  upset  with  him.  It  was  obvious  that  the  consquences  of  his  own  actions  were  doing  more  than  enough  without  her  castizing  him.

" It  appears  from  where  I  stand  the  lesson  was  well  learned. "    She  mused.  She  seem  him  in  far  worse  condition  before , but  with  every  occasion  that  would  lead  him  to  any  harm , her  first  reaction  was  always  to  want  to  take  that  hurt  away.    " Perhaps  this  will  be  the  time  you  learn  to  pull  back  a  bit  sooner  my  darling. "

While  she  spoke , she  gracefully  knelt  down  next  to  him , a  soft  hand  reaching  out  to  tenderly  cup  his  cheek.  A  warming  glow  radiating  from  her  very  core  and  reaching  out  and  straight  to  his  own.  A  healing  energy  moving  through  the  trickster  until  he  had  been  healed  of  all  his  wounds.  She  smiled , a  small  chuckle  leaving  her  as  she  pulled  her  hand  away.    " Then  again ... I  suppose  it  is  hard  to  learn  a  lesson  when  I  enable  you  so  much.  My  burden  to  bear  I  suppose. "

𝑽𝑬𝑹𝑺𝑬𝑺.

( verses  will  be  added  as  they  develop  but  i  will  be  keeping  these  verses  for  the  most  part  within  the  hero  and  fantasy  realm.  she's  a  goddess  and  i  want  to  explore  that  sort  of  character  archetype.  tags  can  also  be  found  with  the  verse  description. )

VERSE.  01.  ─  THE  LOYAL  WIFE  TO  THE  GOD  OF  MISCHIEF.     Sigyn  is  a  vanir  witch , and  set  up  in  an  arranged  marriage  to  Loki , the  God  of  Mischief.  Unsure  of  what  to  expect  out  of  the  union , she  at  first  allows  the  rumors  about  the  Prince  of  Asgard , only  to  find  how  not  only  wrong  everyone  was  about  him , but  also  how  much  more  there  is  to  him.  Through  the  course  of  Loki's  actions  both  positive  and  negative , Sigyn  stays  loyally  by  his  side , offering  counsel , even  in  times  when  her  husband  may  not  want  it.  She  becomes  a  Goddess  through  her  remarkable  loyalty  through  heartache , tested  love  and  loyalty , and  even  death.   tag  ─  ˚‧⁺ ･ ˖ · verse. 01. // the loyal wife to the god of mischief.

VERSE.  02.  ─  THE  QUEEN  OF  ASGARD.    With  the  remaining  people  of  Asgard , Sigyn  returnes  to  New  Asgard  after  the  events  of  Infinity  War , taking  up  the  duties  of  Queen  of  Asgard.  Though  heartbroken  from  the  loss  of  her  husband , her  strength  through  her  sadness  is  seen  as  heroic , going  down  in  the  histories  of  Asgard  as  one  of  the  strongest  rulers  of  the  Asgardians.  tag.  ─  ˚‧⁺ ･ ˖ · verse. 02. // the queen of asgard.

VERSE. 03. ─  SHE  SOLD  HER  SOUL  SO  HE  COULD  LIVE.    In  an  alternate  universe  to  the  events  in  the  mcu , Sigyn  is  on  the  ship  when  Loki  is  killed  by  Thanos , and  in  a  desparate  attempt  to  save  her  husband , she  makes  a  deal  with  a  mysterious  entity  in  order  to  bring  her  husband  back  to  the  living.  The  catch  being  that  he  cannot  go  to  either  resting  places  when  he  dies  the  next  time.  Something  she  was  not  informed  of  when  she  had  sold  her  soul  and  made  the  deal.    tag.  ─  ˚‧⁺ ･ ˖ · verse. 03. // she sold her soul so he could live.

VERSE  04.  ─  THE  WORLD  BELONGS  TO  THE  DEAD.    In  a  custom  and  mostly  generic  zombie  universe , Sigyn  goes  by  the  name  of  Victoria , a  human  in  the  zombie  apocalypse.  She's  a  scientist , working  alongside  Jane  Foster  and  other  scientists  to  attempt  to  find  a  cure / vaccine  to  help  humanity  combad  the  zombie  virus  and  continue  progressing  forward.  Her  husband  Loki , accompanies  her  in  her  work.  Both  working  with  her  and  going  out  into  the  wilds  with  her  to  retrieve  samples  of  the  infected  to  help  in  the  efforts.    tag.  ─  ˚‧⁺ ･ ˖ · verse. 04. // the world belongs to the dead.
