Hey consistently giving Marvel excuses and passes for not showing Clint Barton as deaf is in fact super gross. It is too well known now and official Marvel teams working with his character should know better. It’s not obscure unknown information. It’s widely popularized. It was recanonized over a decade ago (and I say recanonized because he was deafened in the 80s too). Even if you don’t read comics it was canonized in the MCU 4 years ago. Marvel knows he is deaf. Making him otherwise at this point is a deliberate choice to erase his disability.

something new about aziraphale that i’m getting emotional over on this fine night (no one is shocked): i cannot stop thinking about the first scene of season 2. specifically i cannot stop thinking about the fact that even then, in a moment where both he and crowley even looked younger due to their innocence / lack of doubt or questioning just yet, aziraphale is already doing somersaults to worry for those around him. he doesn’t even KNOW this angel, and the idea that crowley could get in trouble for asking questions shouldn’t occur to him yet, but he’s still so burdened by anxieties and doubts for other peoples’ well-being and conditioned to protect others at his own expense (not to mention eerily close to seeing through Heaven for what it is). aziraphale is so fundamentally good, worrying about other people and caring about them before the very idea that bad things could happen to a fellow angel SHOULD have ever crossed his mind in the first place. and to me that disproves all notions that aziraphale is naive, because he’s been tragically aware since before the Beginning— and before crowley. which makes moments like the post-Job “what does that make me” scene even sadder because by all accounts, if aziraphale was familiar with what it’s like to doubt and worry before the Fall even happened, before he ever should have known what those things were, then he should have been one of the angels to fall, right? Wondering and doubting and worrying about things leads to a Fall, right? Only he didn’t. In a world in which there’s a line dividing doubtless, brainwashed, “happy” angels from doubtful, too-curious-for-their-own-good demons, aziraphale might just be the loneliest being in existence. he’s quite literally the sole person (that we know of) who stayed an angel but is forced to carry a burden that never should have been his, that NOBODY around him in Heaven has to carry. and he can’t ask about it because now he knows for sure where asking questions leads you, but he probably doesn’t understand why he has to carry that burden in the first place. the one he’s been carrying it since before Earth was even created.

Does anyone else think it was a really weird design choice by Marvel Rivals to give the deaf character a mask that covers his mouth. Especially when the character is known for moments like these?

they're literally just two bonded shelter cats who act like they hate eachother but the second u try to adopt them separately they're destroying everything in sight until they're back together again

Deaf!Peter Parker Spiderman au (MCU) where he starts going Deaf in one ear when he's like five and it slowly gets worse but when he's with Uncle Ben when he gets shot, his ear starts getting substantially worse but he grew up speaking and signing for the mass majority of his life so he still sounds "normal" and quips against the bad guys as Spiderman. When Tony goes to recruit him, he has hearing aids for both ears now and the worse ear has severe hearing loss whereas the other one has moderate hearing loss. Tony obviously notices and while they're talking, he can tell that Peter has some trouble following what he's saying so he switches to sign and he knows it because of working with Clint for so many years. Peter is surprised that Tony signs so he asks, 'You know sign?' and Tony responds back, 'Well obviously.' and Peter asks him back, 'How did you know I'd know it? Not all Deaf people sign you know?' to which Tony responds, '1. Aunt Hottie told me about the hearing loss and you using ASL. 2. Clint's Deaf too and he noticed you signing to yourself as Spiderman.' and Peter just sort of nods, not expecting to be able to communicate so easily with Tony but he makes sure to sign back, 'Don't call her aunt Hottie.'
