🧑‍🦰 - Have they ever dyed their hair or cut it themselves?

Never dyed it, he has virgin hair! I imagine, like most kids, he found scissors when he was little and cut his own hair and definitely got in trouble for it. And then his mom gave him regular hair cuts at home, and then he let it grow out for awhile after she died. And then he buzzed it once he got to the fortress, and had been letting it grow since. Now he will give himself a little trim off the edges every few months or so, but that's about it. Safe to say, this man has never been to a barber and I don't think he plans to. But he takes very good care of his hair, it is very soft and has never had any color or heat damage.

🤔 - What's something they'll never understand?

This probably comes as no surprise, but he will never understand the like selfish, narcissistic, apathetic mindset. It truly makes zero sense to him how a person could have 0 compassion for another living thing because he was raised with the mindset of like. Every life is important and all people and creatures have feelings that shouldn't be ignored. Which is why he struggles so much with Natalia because he doesn't understand her at all she bothers him so much, but he has the underlying mindset that he should help her.

👗- How comfortable would they be wearing a skirt or dress?

Honestly I think he would be so chill about it. Like I don't necessarily think he would particularly like it, and wouldn't ever willingly put one on for no reason. But I don't see him having an outright issue with it if he found himself in a situation where he was wearing a dress.😂 I think he would be irritated by the lack of pockets tho 100%, that would be his biggest and really only complaint. He might be a bit embarrassed to go out in public dressed like that tho.

💤 - What do they absolutely need to fall asleep?

He's actually always had a really hard time sleeping, especially when he was little. Which is part of the reason why he always seems tired or not very high energy. So he takes like actual prescribed medication to help him sleep, and if he doesn't he will most likely be up all night. He also likes it to be pretty much pitch black dark and prefers it to be cold in the room cuz he's a hot sleeper. So if it's too warm in the room he'll still have trouble getting to sleep.

📱 - What social media do they use the most?

I think in terms of irl social media platforms I don't think he's very active on the ones he has, and he doesn't have very many. Tumblr is the only one he posts on like once in a blue moon, and will reblog quite a bit. And I do think he is a victim of doom scrolling of Tik Tok. But he never posts, his account is like that grey silhouette pfp and some basic username. He doesn't comment or interact with other people's posts, will only like and scroll.😂

🗣️ - How do they handle public speaking?

He hates it. He's normally fine in front of a small group of people, but if you've never seen him get nervous (which he rarely does) he will definitely be nervous trying to speak in front of a large group of people. He will deal with it and push through if he really has to, but also he if possible will do anything to get out of it.

🎮 - What is their favorite game?

If we're talking physical like table top games, I think he really likes things like chess or any type of puzzle/strategy games in general. They are very stimulating for him. If we're talking video games, I think he would really like heavily story based games . But also he secretly loves Stardew valley and animal crossing. And his island/farm is so well taken care of.

I just remembered a detail about yesterday's stream.

When q!Bad was talking about losing two birds with q!Jaiden, he mentioned he farmed something they were dropping immediately after hearing that q!Foolish immediately took out the animals discovery book and went to look if the Soul Vaultur dropped something important, we could see cc!foolish circle the 'Soul Heart' mentioned in the book with his mouse cursor.

I just love how even if he's not sure if it'll be relevant or useful q!foolish is so attentive to everything people talk about.

Even when cc!Foolish goes afk, if people are discussing lore he'll pay attention and even chime in when he's back, like he did when he heard q!Bad and q!Bagi talks about how the codes were affecting q!Étoiles and q!Slime in a way that made it physically noticeable and noted that it was weird that q!Bad was also becoming blue.

q!Foolish remember little details about everyone, eggs and Islanders and notice right away when they behave differently just like he did when q!Tina started acting on the fence towards him, he asked yesterday to 'juanaflippa' if she knew how to speak Spanish or today when he noted how q!Cellbit sounded defeated after learning about his past.

Its not a want, it's a NEED. I need people to actually understand how q!Foolish intelligence lay in his patience and observation. He knows when to use the information he collected and isn't afraid of WAITING.

So, I completely agree with everyone who felt like you should have been able to comfort Ha/lsin or talk about what he went through after he drops those bombshells on you with regards to his past. But.

You know how people complain about fic being written in such a way that it's like everyone's trying to get an A+ in therapy? Well. It turned out like that. It was ... awful, in my opinion. Worse than saying nothing. To have Ha/lsin express his IMMEDIATE understanding of his issue and his refusal to take you / your insight for granted. I mean he's a sweet guy. That wasn't out of character, but it was just. Jarring.

Also. Before you give Ha/lsin the first and worst aftercare of his life or whatever. I read in the patchnotes that there was new dialogue and animations.

In the brothel dialogue I didn't encounter any new dialogue from the choices I'd previously selected. I received one new animation where before the lights go out, instead of just holding Étoile's hand, Nym also put Étoile's hand on her hip, which was cute but ultimately (?) unnecessary. And after the fade to black, I got a moment of Étoile - living high elf, As/tarion - undead high elf, Ha/lsin - wood elf, Nym and Sorn - drow elves, all passed out in the drows' large bed.

Elves don't sleep. Elves don't sleep! I keep bringing it up. I'll keep bringing it up. It doesn't matter.

Just a little rest time where Sorn looks dead to the world I guess. Oh! And it's extremely clear you're supposed to be nude for this, but Ast/arion was still wearing his cape and Étoile was still wearing their gauntlets. Hilarious.

And this moment is like the only "intimate??" screenshot I'll have of Étoile, Astar/ion and Ha/lsin together but it's with such a huge squick that like—

Why weren't Nym and Sorn a couple? I know it's because of the history of drow in The Lore as "deviant" and the dev's intending for a reaction — and probably also banking on specific kinks but ....... /:

26. What is their race/ethnicity?

His mother was from the Sumeru Desert and his father was from Fontaine. So real world equivalent would be half French and half Egyptian. (I know Sumeru is based around many middle eastern countries but I chose this one for him.)

28. Are they happy where they are currently?

He is definitely happier than he was, I think. But he hasn't yet fully realized it because of everything going on with Natalia and also the love triangle. For him it can feel almost like it's worse than it was before, but that's not true. He is actually very happy with the people he has in his life right now, and he doesn't want to change anything of that.

44. Why might someone love them?

I think there's probably a lot of reasons someone may love him. Reasons I don't even think he himself would recognize. Y'know other than the obvious he's handsome and smart and funny deal. But like he really pays attention. And I think anyone in his life right now would recognize that he actually notices and cares about things that seem really unimportant or miniscule, and also things that are extremely important and mean a lot. Everything he learns about you is meaningful to him, and you will know that in the way he talks to you/treats you. He is very protective of the people he cares about. He hopes he's not overbearing about it but he's a lot more focused on other's well-being and happiness a lot more than his own. I think people may love passion towards his hobbies. Nilou can attest to his cooking skills, and not that many people have seen them but his paintings are very emotion based without him even realizing it. He paints things that have personal meaning to him that other people may not see when they look at it. People may love him because of how hard he's trying to move past these things that happened leading up to his sentencing in the fortress. And how much effort he's put into changing and getting better mentally. And of course people may also love him cuz he's pretty and kind of a flirt😂 which is also very valid.

Not anymore. He was an only child to just two parents. His mothers side of the family was never in the picture since they lived in Fontaine, and his Father had minimal family that he maybe met only once or twice in his life. But now both of his parents are dead and he is the only one left.

In terms of found family tho, his time in the fortress of Meropide ended up giving him a kind of brotherly relationship with Wriothesley he took him in since he was so younger then he got there. And as we know, he gave Afzal a little brother status rather quickly, and well as Snezhevna and Star feeling like his daughters. (What happened to the quiet painter page? I feel like it was a fever dream cuz I can't find it anywhere 😭)

He was really close with his mom before she died. And it absolutely devastated him when she did. As for his dad, well... Let's just say that they had a fairly normal relationship at first and then things went extremely south rather quickly💀 he does not visit his grave and has zero respect for that man.

This is a bit complicated. His own death is something he finds very unimportant. In his mind he should've died a long time ago, and it would make little difference if he did now. He's not scared of it by any means. But he wouldn't necessarily do anything on purpose that he knows for a fact would lead to his death unless there was some important purpose behind it. He's willing to give it for the people he cares about without hesitation. But also, as seen with his back and forth with Natalia, it is not a threat you can hold over his head.

But other people's death is something he finds very hard to deal with. But I also think it depends on the way it were to happen. Like let's say it was death due to natural causes, like age or an illness, then he would find it sad and have a mostly normal mourning process. But if it were anything that could have been prevented in one way or another, like an accident or murder or God forbid suicide (a person trigger for him) then he may end up blaming himself or thinking that he could have done something about it. And if it were at the fault of someone else he would fs throw all his progress out the window and seek revenge. He does not handle loss very well at all. And it will lead to some very very poor decisions.

I like to think his accent is pretty mixed between southern and northern French because he spent his younger years when he was. Learning how to speak on the island, which in my mind is more akin to the French country side and then when he was a bit older was living in the main city where they spoke a lot more "proper" dialect if that makes sense. But I also don't think it's very thick either since he learned English very young from his mother so it's not like an extremely obvious or hard to understand accent, but you can tell that his native tongue is French.

68. Do they become squeamish at the sight of blood?

Absolutely not. He is very desensitized to gore. Like... It's a bit ridiculous tbh😭 but I suppose when you witnessed what he did then your only option is to be okay with it or suffer lmao.

He tries to understand why they're afraid of it. Like if it's related to an experience or if it's just an irrational fear that they've always had. If it's something small and unharmful then he may try to help them get over it only if the person was okay with it or wanted it. But otherwise he does his best not to put them in any situations that would trigger the fear and won't make them feel back about it.

88. Are they tall or short or somewhere in between?

This is a very large man. Don't know where he gets it from cuz both of his parents were pretty average in height. But I've mentioned before that he is 6'3, so he is indeed very tall😂 but he will kneel or sit or in some way try to make himself seem smaller around most people. It's an unconscious behavior he's always done to make himself seem less intimidating.

96. What is their greatest weakness?

I would say probably his abandonment issues. He will do just about anything not to lose the people close to him, which can sometimes be very self damaging. He will hesitate if certain people are involved in a decision. And if he hesitates too long the outcome could end up being worse than if he'd acted quicker. His hesitation could also end up hurting other people and not just himself. And also if he's always focusing on how to avoid losing them, he can't spend much time thinking about other things. In turn, if he does lose them then he would probably end up letting it consume him.

Also. The fact that he doesn't like to talk about his feelings. He's pretty open about his positive feelings, and anything that involves his love life. But talking about his trauma? Good luck. Talking about any negative emotions he's currently having?? Extra good luck. He loves knowing people at their core and learning everything about them. But he never really talks about his own core information. He may mention a comment in passing but he rarely reveals anything deeper than that.

97. What is their greatest strength?

Probably his loyalty and commitment to his beliefs. He always may not say everything, but anything he does say isn't going to be a lie. He will always follow through on his promises and if he says something he means it. This ofc does apply to his playful teasing, that is all light hearted and not meant to be taken seriously. But I think his honesty and accountability/dependability is a very solid strength he has and something that will never change. You can rely on him and always trust he'll tell you the truth.

No biological children, but as I'm sure everyone has caught onto he has essentially adopted Snezhevna. He was mainly just looking to protect her but as soon as she started calling him papa he was instantly on board. She adopted him, really😂

💓 - What are some signs he's fallen for someone?

He hasn't had a lot of experience with romantic feelings, given that he was in the fortress from ages 16 through 22, so he is absolutely horrible at hiding it. He is protective of his friends and the ppl he cared about in a general sense, but even more so if it's someone he has feelings for. Like you've seen him defend Wanderer or Afzal but it's not the same vibe and when he worries over Lucien's safety and gets defensive on his behalf. Or When he started threatening Natalia bc of the way she was speaking to Nilou. It's also obvious in the way he looks at them, anyone from an outside protective can pick up on the way he stares at Lucien while he's doing simple things, or the look of abortion when he's watching Nilou dance. He's normally very good at hiding his expressions, but not when it comes to someone he has feelings for. And he will also try to take care of them. In a sense of like, feeding them, bringing them gifts, making sure they get enough sleep/are taking breaks from whatever they are doing. He always cooks for them any time either of them come over, and he always brings Lucien sweets when he goes to see him. Plus all the flowers he brought from Fontaine bc he said he'd never seen them, and the ones he brought for Nilou bc they were similar to her favorite flower. Which were both like genuine sweet gifts, whereas he brought wander the damn cat key chain 🤣 which ya know was also a gift for someone he cares for, but it was silly and bc of an inside joke so not the same vibe.

Both his parents are dead, unfortunately. But he was really close with his mom, very much so a mama's boy and he loved her a lot. He used to have a good relationship with his dad but that went south reeeally quickly right before he died. (Lore tease) And now he hates him very much, and it stemmed some daddy issues fs.

��� - What's their favorite animal?

He is so obsessed with those big ass furry Sumpter beasts in the rainforest. He loves watching them run around because they're so clumsy and make the funniest noises when they get their heads stuck in the dirt. He also really loves the Otters in Fontaine, and used to get in trouble all the time for feeding them. But he would sometimes sit at the beach and bring them little snacks. His foster parents reported him missing once and they found him asleep on a rock cuddling with an otter.

☂️ - How do they feel about rain?

Growing up in Fontaine, you kinda just get used to the rain. He didn't like it very much when it was younger bc it made everything muddy and he had to stay inside. And the sky wasn't clear enough to see the stars at night. But then after spending so many years under the sea with no weather at all, he's come to really appreciate the rain, and sometimes will just sit outside without an umbrella to feel it on his skin. He likes the way it sounds, and it helps him sleep. It feels very calming and it drowns out a lot of the other things he's got going on in his brain.

🍳 - How well can they cook?

He's a very good cook. Definitely nothing like Michelin star restaurant worthy, but he can make more than just basic meals. He could probably make just about anything if given a good recipe for it. And he likes experimenting with things to make it better or change the flavor. It is something he enjoys doing, for a few reasons. He used to really like helping his mom when she would make dinner, which is why he's so much more familiar with making Sumeru food than Fontaine food, but he's good with both. And also because he really likes gooking for other people more so than just for himself. He likes making people feel good when they eat something he made.

🍪 - How well can they bake?

Pretty average I would say. He can make simple things like cake, cookies, or brownies. And he's gotten pretty good with some stable Fontainian pastries like the chocolate croissants or the cream puffs, but nothing too complicated. He doesn't know how to make bread, he's tried and it just fails every time. He does often make Beignets, tho. They are his favorite.

Not biologically, no. He's an only child. There were occasionally other kids in the foster homes that would be called his siblings, but no one he really formed an attachment with. He does consider Wriothesley to be kind of an older brother figure to him, and ofc Now has taken Afzal as a little brother.😂 I think he really enjoys the idea of having a family, but he was so hurt by the one he had that he doesn't really want to open himself up to one. But he can't help but to just collect a found family of some kind that's helping him heal without even knowing it.

🥰 - What pet names do their partner(s) use for them? How flustered do they get by them?

Nilou has called him sweetheart on many occasions and it does make him smile, he really likes it. He fs blushed the First time Lucien called him Love, mainly cuz it caught him off guard and this was before he realized the confusing shit that was going on with his feelings, but he still very much so likes it when he does.

Not currently, and he never had any growing up, but he used to really want a puppy. If he comes across a stray animal it's highly likely he will adopt it tho, as he has a pattern of doing😂

He likes kids. He never really had any desire to have his own, at least from a biological sense. But obviously, as seen with Sheznevna, he wouldn't hesitate to take in and care for a child who needed it. However he can't stand the kind of kids who are spoiled and always throw tantrums to manipulate adults into getting their way.

🍽 - What's their favorite food?

Shrimp curry or Butter chicken are usually his go to foods and he likes those the most, but his actual favorite food is a meat stew that his mom used to make, but every time he tries to make it, it doesn't taste the same.

🌱 - Do they have a green thumb or are they a plant killer?

His mother was an Amurta scholar, and he grew up on a small island where they grew most of their own food. So I would say he is very good with plants, and knows a lot about them. He also kept his mothers note book about the plants she used to study, so if there is anything he doesn't know, he can usually find something about it in there.
