Quick Sam doodle for now :D (I'm working on practicing this artstyle so yeah)
Hii cyrene do you have any specific details about the designs of the characters in a 101 reasons? (Totally not looking for art ideas)
Hi Ýr! You asked so I’m going to use this an excuse to ramble <3 under the cut for convenience
This is like current timeline I guess
Quackity
longer hair. it’s definitely at least shoulder length by now
Definitely used like Bobby pins to keep his bangs out of his face
Beanies obviously both the plain navy one and the embroidered red one
I’m very fond of the track suit skin so he definitely wears those. He probably just claims it is easier than picking out clothes that actually match
Lots of moles and beauty marks because obviously
Reading glasses I can’t explain this one but it is true just plain wire frames that he hates but his boyfriends love
He more or less only wears longs sleeves which covers it but he absolutely still wears the friendship bracelet
Karl paints his nails but they never match any sort of theme because he doesn’t really care
Charlie
glasses
His hair is sort of shaggy but not overgrown
He definitely had braces at the start but got them off at some point
On that same note he was the kid who exclusively got neon green bands on his braces
The worst gamer tee-shirts you have ever seen. Only bad puns
He cuffs his jeans to show off his fun patterned socks
His socks while all having fun patterns never match
He also wears his friendship bracelet
He’s a converse guy
Definitely has some scar on his cheek from a dumb dare that he did as a kid. It’s a fun reminder of better times
Foolish
he wears the friendship bracelet and also like fifty others that Ponk made
Also keeps a hair tie on his wrist for his partners
His hair is definitely growing out but not quiet to the length that Quackity’s is yet
Plain tee shirts and jeans
He has no style and cannot be bothered to develop one
His clothes definitely all fit a bit awkwardly because he refuses to get new ones
He has a chip on his front tooth from playing football
A beauty mark under one eye. Why? Who knows
Messiest hair ever. He definitely run his hands throw it a lot when thinking and just totally fucks it up
Probably some little scars on his arms from the car accident and playing sports growing up
Fundy
freckles everywhere absolutely everywhere on his face that’s it though
Some boring short hair cut
He definitely had his ears pierced as a kid and still wears boring studs because he likes the piercings but doenst want to draw attention to them
A hoodie and zip up guy. Always wearing like three layers of baggy clothes
Black or dark blue are his go to colors
Doesn’t wear the bracelets because he doesn’t like the wrist feel but will occasionally wear necklaces
He seems like a silver guy
Crooked teeth because same
Sam
freckles everywhere part two
Definitely has a little gap in his front teeth
Hearing aids
His hair has definitely grown out quite a bit. Maybe a bit longer than Quackity’s
Has a severe case of roots always showing because he’s too lazy to dye it right away syndrome
Faint scars on his arms and face from the accident
Also a hoodie guy
He can match colors and patterns on his clothes but usually just wears plain colors or green.
The sort of guy to wear his sneakers into oblivion. They have only luck and ducktape holding them together
Just the main boys to keep this from getting too long but as always I love to ramble

Hii Denz I have a question about your pirate au
Do you have any specific ideas for what kind of clothes techno wears?
Hiiii got so happy to get this ask and then realised i actually didnt have a solid idea so i went to sketch it out. He has one of those fancy ruffled shirts (that he stole), boots because i want him to have boots, a coat thats a little bit torn and beat up and stained at the bottom (very old coat) and some pieces of gold in his hair (Currently in the story he doesnt have that because of the whole. getting beaten up by the Red Sea and then leaving immedatly on the first boat he saw, but later he will get some gold.)
I also imagine him having a matching earring with Phil from their glory days were they were both pirates toghether also!
I hope this was helpful and if theres anything else you want me to go more in dept in i'd be more than happy to :D
Also btw i used refrences from @/mellon_soup since i was more focused on sketching clothes and i had a good base in my photos aready :D

Ýr Jóhannsdóttir, Textile Designer and Artist, based in Iceland | All images © Ýr Jóhannsdóttir
Ýr Jóhannsdóttir is a textile designer and artist from Iceland, based in Berlin and Reykjavík, working under the name Ýrúrarí. Her work is mostly knitted, where fragments of humor, body movements and the everyday meets in wool based, often wearable, objects. For the past years the importance of sustainability has had an impact to Ýrúrarí’s work. In her latest projects “Sweater sauce”, “I would not do something like that” and Sleik-zine Ýrúrarí raises questions on our absurd consumption habits of textiles and tries out new ways of making unwanted clothes last longer as a one of a kind art- and design pieces. // [Welcoming] Greetings! This is the Warhammer 4000 sideblog for @redacted-metallum
// You may call me Rev, I'm 25+, autistic, bi/pan, and I use they/them pronouns only. My art blog is @tenebris-metallum
// I have ocs. And a forgeworld. Ask me about them.
// Most interested in the Adeptus Mechanicus, Tyranids, Necrons, and the Chaos legions. I have never actually played any games of Warhammer. My figure painting tag is #look at me figures boy
// DO NOT INTERACT WITH ME if you are a MAP/pedo, nazi, right winger, TERF, homophobe, islamaphobe, anti-semite, zionist, racist, fascist, or general bigot. I'm a transgender queer nerd who's drawn to the AdMech for various transgender and autistic reasons. You are not welcome here.
// GLORY TO THE OMNISSIAH.
Oc and forgeworld info under the cut:
I have a forgeworld concept in the works! It's called Sanctum Novis, it's a Xenaraite stronghold out on the fringes of the Imperium, color scheme of ashy purple, white, black, copper, and yellow.
Sanctum Novis itself is an ore-rich rocky moon of a gas giant with a thin atmosphere and a saltwater ocean trapped under a thick layer of ice.
My figures that I've painted with the Mars/traditional admech color scheme are part of the supervisory cohort that was sent out there to make sure that they were, yknow. Loyal.
My OCs are:
Pertho Ýr 0-1-7, a Sicarian Ruststalker Princeps. They/it/he pronouns (#pertho)
Lighthouse, a Heretek tech priest turned Khornate berserker. He/she pronouns. (#lighthouse)
Othala-Hægl 1-12, Skitarii Marshall of Sanctum Novis. Allowed certain privileges like refusal, sass, and emotions due to her rank, the unstable environment of Sanctum Novis, and the heretek nature of the Forgeworld. She/her pronouns. (#othala)
Magos Caprella of Mars, Tech-priest Dominus in charge of the supervisory cohort. Hates his job. He/him pronouns. (#caprella)
Forgemaster Verthandi-1, Forgemaster of Sanctum Novis. She wired herself into the forge and good luck getting her out. She/her but in the way a ship is she/her. (#verthandi)

A RUV article! ruv [.] is/frett/ youtube-og-facebook-ritskoda-hatara
The headline is “YouTube and Facebook censor Hatari”. Translation below.
Content from the multimedia group Hatari has been censored on YouTube, and it has been impossible to share the video for the song Spillingardans with paid advertisements on Facebook. Matthías Tryggvi Haraldsson, a member of the group, says that the power on the internet is increasingly concentrating in fewer hands, and measures to be taken to stop this development.
YouTube makes censorship stricter
YouTube has increased censorship on its sites in the past year or two. The policy is very unpopular, not least because Google, which owns YouTube, has collected a trove of information on people and the company has become bigger than many nation-states.
It has previously been reported that YouTube censors content from Trans Iceland and many LGBTQIA communities around the world. Many other organizations and artists have also had their content censored. The art collective Hatari has felt the effects of this.
Censor nipples, births, and Hatari
Hatari member Matthías Tryggvi Haraldsson says that their videos have not been banned from YouTube, but they have been sidelined.
"We have found our videos to be regarded as - well [...] at least they're being shown to fewer people."
Spillingardans was one example of this.
"We found that it wasn't coming up in suggestions and we also couldn't sponsor it on Facebook, that is to distribute it with paid advertisements on Facebook."
Matthías says this is inconsistent: "There's all sorts of unfortunate material that gets widely disseminated on the internet, falsehoods and conspiracy theories and interpretations of events that stoke fear and hatred, and that can be distributed, but then women show their nipple and suddenly it's forbidden. I know births have been banned, and then us in leather straps making a beautiful music video with full consent and all the joy and artistry we could muster. So it's inconsistent what gets censored."
The power on the internet consolidating into fewer hands
Elfa Ýr Gylfadóttir, the COO of the Icelandic Media Committee, said yesterday that 70% of the time people spend on YouTube is watching videos they were directed to by YouTube's algorithm. "We're in kind of a weird position, because there we've got giant private corporations that set their own rules." Governments in various countries as well as the European Commission have begun to look into the matter. The United States has seen suggestions of breaking up tech megacorporations such as Amazon and Google
Matthías agrees with that. "From the dawn of the internet, it's been a tool for democracy and empowering to a huge number of people, and we've got examples of that in recent history. But it seems that power on the internet slowly consolidates into fewer hands over time, and all efforts to break it up or fight back against that evolution are very important and should be supported."

Kristín María Ingimarsdóttir (Stína Maja) and Jóhannes Eyfjörð (Jói)
When I came back to SFAI in 1986 after a semester on independent study, traveling around Europe with my dear friend Arngunnur Ýr, I ran into a new student from Iceland, Jóhannes Eyfjörð, called Jói. He had started at SFAI in the sculpture department while Arngunnur and I were away. We first met in the hall where the mailboxes and the pay-phones used to be, right in front of Studio 8. I could not resist this handsome guy and a few weeks later, on Valentine’s day party, we started going out. Within a year we got married and lived in San Francisco until 1994 when we moved back to Iceland. We are still married and have three wonderful kids.
In 2012 we spent the summer in San Francisco and of course, we took our kids to SFAI and showed them where we first ran into one another. So that Valentine’s day party was definitely a memorable party and the party is still going on.
Larry Andrews (BFA 1987) and Arngunnur Yr
When we got back to San Francisco we needed a place to live and convinced this nice guy on Green Street to rent to the two of us, although in his ad he had posted that he wanted only one, and emphatically so, ONE tenant and male... we promised that we would be most excellent tenants and besides we would hardly ever be home and he would not even notice that we were there. Well, things were about to change. When I got back to the Art Institute at the beginning of the spring semester of ‘86 my friends kept telling me about this handsome new guy from DC, stating that they are sure that “I am going to get him“. I remember thinking that was quite funny and wondering why, if they thought he was so cute why they didn’t go after him. But it turned out they were right after all. My first encounter with Larry was when we met in the photo lab where he was a monitor and he handed me the photo developing equipment I had requested. He reached out his hand and we realized we had the same golden nail polish on! So we figured this was meant to be.
On Valentine’s Day, there was a big party at school and we had a pre-party in our new apartment. I had been to a thrift store and was wearing a 60’s nylon pantsuit extravaganza with a fake blonde wig down to my waist. And that’s how I went to the party and met Larry there. We had a wild and fun night, which ended with friends, including Stína and Jói, at the Stud. 34 years later we have two kids, Daria Sól, 26 and Dyami Rafn 23, who are amazing and wonderful, fluent in both languages and equally at home in both countries.
Conrad and Willis Meyers
Willis and I were both class of MFA 2008 in Sculpture. In our second year, we collaborated on a Diego Rivera Gallery exhibition (photo above) and sparks flew in the welding shop and beyond. By the time we graduated, both of us knew that we had found lifelong collaborators.
In 2010, we found a derelict warehouse in West Oakland that we rented and eventually began to build out to fit the mutual vision of a sculpture shop and gallery. In the 9 years since Aggregate Space Gallery was founded, it has become a nationally recognized and Bay Area renown exhibition space in support of a diverse slate of installation and new media artists. In mid-2019, we were displaced from that space and set about finding a new home for our nonprofit. In February 2020 after months of satellite programming (including the Jefferson Pinder show at SFAI), we launched our first exhibition in the new Aggregate Space Gallery at 1255 26th St. in Oakland, 10 blocks from where we were founded. We are still working together on a daily basis and although now we spend more time planning fundraisers (like the huge gala for ASG on March 20th), then we spend making sculptures together, the wonderful collaboration is ongoing.

Hello Cyrene how tall are the characters in 101 (I'm working on some art)
Hello Ýr ummmmmmm i have no clue how tall. Foolish is the tallest though. Sam's next but they have 2/3 inches between them id say. Then another gap between sam and Charlie. Fundy is only like an inch shorter than chralie. The largest gap is probably between Fundy and Q who is the shortest

Hi denz do you have any set designs for any of the other characters in you pirate AU? (I Might need ideas for art mayhaps :D) like you can choose any character or characters you want
I also just liked seeing your thoughts about technos design bc it made more sense to me when then reading the newest chapter
Hi Ýr! I actually do, and also've drawn up some designs (Ranboo especially, since i needed a visual refrence for their entire. Situation.) The top two drawings are a bit older since i did them a while ago, but i still think its accurate?
The bottom one was the first of the new drawings i did, and i think its a bit obvious but that's fine. Gonna just point things out because i think that's the best way to explain :D Also trying not to delve too too much into spoilers but it will be tricky.
The before thing is referencing mainly when Ranboo met Tommy and Tubbo, it's after the boat crashing. Shaded parts are white, because ranboo scars white, and the mouth scars are placed where the jaw connects to the rest of the head. He also has ones on their tear ducks, thats what the scar lines near the eyes are. The top before drawing (the side profile one) has ranboo's braid still in, but thats technicly wrong because while Ranboo had their braid in when they met Tommy and Tubbo, they never tied it again. No reason to that, Ranboo just didnt feel a need to do it.
Their braid is tied on the right
The now drawings include the bandage, cause Ranboo doesnt really want to show his scars (bandage is tricky to do himself, but he can do it and usually does. There is a Reason in chapter 2 Ranboo asks tommy specificly to help him re-bandage his face.)
Last thing about them cause i know this is getting rambly (fully aware no one minds, but also i am trying to be clear and FAILING) : Ranboo has pointed ears. This is not a normal thing. Techno doesnt mention it because he choses not to notice it, but it felt impoprtant to mention since im talking about Ranboo's design.
Little baby tommy zoom in (i doodled it so small lmao sorry bout the pixels)
I just felt like drawing him very little and young. The scar is face paint wow i wonder if its familiar i wonder if thats like, a hint to something who knowsssss :) (Also it might just be mud actually, not face paint. He put mud right next to his eye and he thought it looked SO cool)
Also, pigtails. That was important. He has pigtails. In my heart it matters, fem tommy for the win he deserves to have longer hair
ALSO. The full body is inacurate, but it would be spoilers to do an accurate kid tommy so i sadly can't. When it's revealed i will as a little sorry (and also cause i REALLY wanna draw it but shhh thats not important) (it might also be related to why Ranboo asked Tommy to help him with his bandages. But i refuse to give away more than that)
Last but not least, Tubbo!!!!
He is NOT bald i just didnt want to draw more, so i took an screeshot of and older drawing of his scar because i think that's important. His eye droops and his face is a bit messed up, he also can't hear out of his left ear (obviously) but his other ear isnt that good at hearing either. Tubbo's been around cannons since he was too little to understand that, hey, maybe covering your ears will be helpful in the long run. But he was little and no one ever told him. He figured it out now, but his reflex is more of 'tense and stay very still' instead of 'cover your ears and duck'
He also tends to wear heavy outfits. Like, a big jacket and big boots and just clothes that are so puffy that they give him a round silhouette if that makes sense
#blabbing#id in alt text#<- WE WIN THESE LESGO IT WAS SO SO HARD AND TRICKY MY BRAIN WAS PROTESTING BUT I DID GOOD#by did good i mean i 100% messed something up somewhere but. yknow. thats fine (it im very open to people telling me how to do ids better)#my art#sketch art#bench trio#they mean so much to me in this au#cursed aro techno pirate au#still so pissed off tumblr doesnt show me that tag. so many words i constatly forget the order#writing talks#the inbox#Ýr#god i hope there arent too many typos i dont wanna reread this whole thing i when i could be reading animorphs instead#<- not a joke omw to read animorphs

Tapabocas.
@Ýrúrarí.

@zhijunwang
https://www.instagram.com/zhijunwang/

Km-274), Stefano Verri (curatore).
