guess who’ll be hosting her own vlive show? that’s right, this girl here! and god is she excited about it. i’ll get into the premise of SOONDONG below, so keep reading if you’re interested!

premise

soondong (in hangul: 순동) is a mashup of sookyung’s name and the korean word for exercise. as you might be able to work out (pun intended), this show is going to be all about trying out different sports and forms of exercise. in each episode, sookyung and her guests will be learning all about the sport of the episode whilst giving it a go themselves. they’ll be watched over by an expert as they try to navigate the basics (and maybe some not so basics) of the sport or exercise, before competing against each other to see who does the best or has improved the most over the course of the lesson. and since everyone does better with incentive, there will of course be prizes. at the beginning of each episode, sookyung and her guests will make a bet to decide what to put on the line if they win or lose. (for example: making an ugly face if you lose, or having the loser pay for snacks if you win).

in order to not prioritise good content over safety, each episode will be prerecorded and edited so sookyung and guests can learn safely and properly without rushing to keep in a time frame.

types of guests

friends both old and new are welcome. sookyung is just as likely invite someone that she has never spoken to before onto her show as she is to invite those that are already good friends. of course, muses have to be adventurous and up for trying something new, but the main goal of her show is to just have fun so physical ability isn’t a must have. being bad at something can be entertaining too after all!

in character, both sookyung and guests only know what they could potentially be doing, having been given a long list beforehand so they could tell staff what they definitely don’t want to do. other than that, what they’ll be up to will be a complete surprise. out of character, i have listed what activity will be happening each week just to give an idea as to what sort of things they’d be doing. if you are interested, try not to pick something your muse already has any experience in, or even feel free to suggest another activity! otherwise, just reply to this post or shoot me a message saying which week you’d like your muse to participate in! this will be on a first come first serve basic to keep it fair.

hello there! I apologise if this quick intro is awkward; it’s 2am here I’m a little out of it. but I’m tee (they/she/he; gmt; 22), and I’m bringing my lovely muse sookyung! she’s an oc i’ve had a while, but i’m only now finding a good faceclaim for her and putting her to use. you can find her profile here, some plot ideas here. for now i’ll leave some quick info, fun facts and little plot ideas below the cut. feel free to im me or ask for my discord if you wanna plot!

born in changwon, south korea, sookyung grew up living above the small family restaurant owned by her grandparents, in which both her mother and father also work

she has a twin brother, who is younger by ten minutes

when not a trainee she is a student, studying dance at hansung university

her love of dance started when she was six and her family was visiting seoul. they had signed her and her brother up for a childrens dance class so they could spend an hour or two alone

sookyung had had an absolute blast of a time during the dance class and begged to be signed up for lessons when they got back home, easily convincing her parents

ever since that day, the majority of sookyung’s free time was spent in a dance studio and over time and with much practice, she became a skilled dancer and choreographer

she technically specialises in hip hop, though one of her favourite styles is when popping meets contemporary, absolutely loving the contrast of smooth and sharp movements

she originally intended on becoming a choreographer, and only ended up auditioning to be an idol as a dare from a classmate (who was definitely more surprised that she both did it, was accepted, and stayed there)

sookyung is buff, almost surprisingly so. like, “can lift a grown man” strong. this is due to her often working out, which started off as a way to get fitter for dance but quickly became a hobby

she can speak a little bit of both english and mandarin. she definitely isn’t fluent or close to it in either, but she could get by if stranded somewhere they’re spoken

sookyung has a bit of an addiction to collecting lipstick, which she is almost never seen not wearing. usuallly red

she is a lesbian. technically, she hasn’t come out to anyone except her brother, but it really isn’t too hard to guess that she might not be straight considering she isn’t shy when talking about her love and respect for women

absolutely hates the cold. in winter you can count on her being snuggled up in a million blankets with a mug of hot tea. she is also a body heat snatcher. if you’re comfortable with it, she will be snuggled so close to you that it’s hard to tell where one person begins and ends

sookyung almost never sleeps in her own bed. due to insomnia, power naps are her go to and it doesn’t matter where she is or when it is. if she actually feels like she can sleep and is able to do so, she is taking that chance

basically she is a cat; can be found sleeping in either the weirdest of spots or a warm human lap

overwatch is the only videogame sookyung really plays. shes a reinhardt main forever and always, and is surprisingly good at him too

please don’t let her cook. unless it’s grilling meat, which she is an absolute pro. it’s kinda ironic that her family owns a restaurant but she’ll burn rice in a rice cooker

her internal compass is not just broken; it’s missing entirely. you can definitely expect her to be the one walking the wrong way off stage at music and award shows if she does ever debut

sookyung is loud, literally and figuratively. she likes entertaining people, whether that’s with her dance, her laugh, her jokes or even character impressions. if she wasn’t on the path to being an idol, she’d definitely want to go into variety. perhaps one day she might be able to do both

okay, i’m alive! i almost had to take a hiatus there because it got so weird with the new tier 4 lockdown but! it’s hopefully all sorted so yay~

so happy new trimester everyone! i won’t do a proper plot call yet, as sookyung is now on the band path and their mission hasn’t been revealed. but she does need some questions for the vlive so like, feel free to send some in ^^ (i’ll leave some ideas of topics below). and like this if you’d like some q’s sent your way too (feel free to comment or im if you want something in particular!)

so it’s tee again (still they/she/he, 22, gmt). basically, i went on a tiny hiatus in which i did some thinking. and what i concluded was that sookyung wasn’t quite how i wanted her to be. aka, i saw some ladies playing instruments and got much more inspired than i was beforehand. so sookyung and her profile went through a little revamp. not much has changed at all; sookyung’s personality is basically exactly the same, it’s just her background, talents and focus that i changed.

when she was young she learnt pansori, as well as how to play the traditional korean drum, quickly becoming talented in both

while she can still do both very well, her passions have moved over to the more modern genre of rock, especially loving the drums

she also knows how to play the bass guitar, though not quite to the same level as the drum kit

rapping also became a fun hobby of hers, wanting to use her (bad?) habit of speaking too fast for good
