Asuka Takami Headcanons and Info
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
She’s an OC fanchild of mine I wrote several years ago. Her quirk and appearance tend to change slightly since I generally use her in every ship with Keigo, but she does predominantly have a Keigo-influenced quirk. She is biologically related to him. I had originally written Keigo Takami as a cis-male ages ago, which is when the idea of her was conceived. My Keigo muse enjoys children, and always wanted one of his own someday.
He wanted one that shared his quirk ideally, and so that was always his motive to actually have a child biologically his despite his own transition. He simply doesn’t conform to gender roles really. He doesn’t assign genders to things and simply does as he likes while still identifying as he wants. He doesn’t believe in the “ideal” transman or however someone identifies as in that regards - it’s why he never felt pressured to get top or bottom surgery early on ( though he eventually does get top surgery since another reason for it was not having being able to give himself the time to recover from said surgery due to hero obligations ).
Again, her quirk kinda depends on his partner generally but for the most part she does usually keep a bird-like quirk similar to him. It’s usually weaker than his in exchange for specalized boosts his may or may not have - but she doesn’t end up as a hero either way. Her body is weak and she gets sick very easily - she’s a smart but very frail girl. In the future she ends up in the support course actually!
It’s a topic I’ve always been wary of approaching to be honest, because the last thing I’d want to do is write something offensive even if unintentional. But. I’ve met a lot of trans people over the past year, one at my old job in fact. It baffled me when they told me “they know they’re not trans enough” because they didn’t get surgery. That there was some societal requirements to meet in order to be considered “trans enough”. It’s kind of what I base my Keigo around to be honest. Someone who identifies as who he wants while not paying any mind to whatever “society” thinks he should be. He doesn’t assign gender to things - he simply does what he feels comfortable with, and wears what is comfortable to him. There is no expectations with him or for him - whatever you chose to be he accepts wholeheartedly with zero judgement.
This is kinda the only time I’ll go in to detail in that regard though, because I don’t want it to be the main focus of him. It’s simply a thing that happens and a basic description of his own ideas and philosophy on the matter.
