All the while his evol is reaching out to latch onto Finlay to avoid further protest. At least physical protest. Once latched on the manifested energy pulled them over to where Sylus stood beside the motorcycle. A smirk graced his lips as he quickly went about shoving a helmet he recently bought just for Finlay over their head. He seemed rather pleased that it fit correctly. ❝ Well look at that, your head wasn't too big for the helmet after all. It even has accessories to match your personality. ❞ As if to emphasis on his teasing a gloved hand reached up to flick at one of the cat ears atop their helmet.

 ❝ Now then, lets get going. ❞ No time is wasted by him to climb onto the bike & start the engine with ease. The familiar purr begins to echo off the walls of the garage around them as he gets situated and waits for Finlay to hop on.

It wasn't the first time and it wasn't going to be the last that Choji took his anger out on Togame. At minimum it was done where nobody was looking, as Choji suddenly launched a well placed punch to the side of his head, one that has him staggering under the force of it but not quite losing his footing.

Though rather than fighting back, Togame stands there and takes whatever Choji wishes to dish out to him. It doesn't matter if Choji hits him or kicks him, Togame does nothing in return...

Until he finally moves once Choji seems to have had enough. Resting his hands upon his dearest friends shoulders, Togame manages a small smile, "Its alright, Choji..." he rasps through a throat thick with emotion. It pained him to see Choji so upset..

"As long as you don't take it out on the rest of the guys.. I'll be fine." He'd do anything to protect Shishitoren from what Choji had become.

✨ You're very passionate about the things you write about and it shows. You're very creative and I'm impressed that you have thought of so many small details that most would have otherwise skipped over to build very well-rounded, fun, engaging characters with a very compelling narrative. You breathe life into your creations and it's very inspiring to see someone so passionate about them. That includes the worlds you've made for them, which I know was a team effort (subtle Reuben shoutout too). OCs aside, the same can be said for your canons. The same way you bring your own creations to life you breathe new life into your canons! Even if I'm not directly involved in any asks or threads I enjoy reading whatever you're writing on the dash because it's always a good read. In my own personal opinion I really like how much love you give to Kaji. I really liked Kaji's character and it brings me immense joy to see someone appreciating him as much as you do! Overall, I think I just enjoy reading your writing because I can tell you're having fun haha and that's contagious!

He didn't like lying. He probably couldn't even if he tried. He felt Marines should be honest, and upfront. Just. He knew a lot weren't but he still had faith in his duty and position.

Not good.

Being separated from the others already put the team in enough danger to give the shadows an advantage. Shinjiro wasn't too concerned with Akihiko's safety considering their previous Tartarus excursions built him into a much stronger fighter. Too much for his personal liking, since he was addicted to the adrenaline rush, but at least he could stand his own ground. It's the others. Shadows have an instinctual habit of sniffing out the more timid, more inexperienced people, and no doubt they'd target the newbies instead of them.

"...we need to get movin'. Now." The high walls and long hallways of Tartarus' third block made it more difficult to pinpoint the exact location of the noises. If they trailed behind, and at a far enough distance, perhaps the Shadows may lead them to the rest of the party. It was their best shot. "Sounds like they're tryin' to form an ambush on the' others. If we follow 'em now, we could kill 'em 'fore they even get there." He raised his axe up, letting it rest upon his shoulder. Darkened eyes fixated forward, and his grip tightened ever so slightly on the weapon's hilt.

Castor grew unsettled. Just a little longer...

"oh,   man,   sorry   smiley."   he   certainly   wasn't   looking   where   he   was   going   but   that   was   difficult   with   so   many   people   around.   they   were   having   a   rather   big   celebration   after   their   last   victory   but   chifuyu   had   lost   sight   of   his   leader.   he   was   probably   somewhere   with   mikey   and   draken,   the   blond   surmised.   still,   he   was   a   bit   of   a   worrywart   ever   since   the   world   had   taken   baji   from   him,   so   he   still   went   around   in   search   of   his   friend.

"oh,   well,   since   i   have   crashed   into   you,"   chifuyu   started,   looking   at   where   smiley's   hand   was   resting   for   a   lot   longer   than   intended   before   clearing   his   throat,   a   soft   shade   of   red   settling   on   his   pale   features,   "have   you   seen   my   dumb   leader,   takemichi?"

She thought about him that much? Talk about a big surprise - and it wasn't a lie, either. Now his face was as red as his old headphones as he nervously scratched the side of his cheeks. "Wow, damn... me neither, but I didn't think I was that attractive either... huh." He'd say this was good luck instead of a coincidence since she didn't seem interested in anyone else but him. Heck, they even shared their first kiss! He should be happy, and he was happy this way.

This was how it should be. They're both happy, giddy with those butterflies and he wouldn't ask for anything else. The more he listened, the more he shared those exact sentiments. "Yeah, same here! It's... really something that makes me happy to be here with you." The way his heart beat around her should've been an early sign of how much he truly cared about her, and now... it's any hopeless romantic's dream to get together with the girl he loves.

Of course, he denied it at first, but not anymore.

His offered hand was taken with such enthusiasm, it shocked him. Her face was cute to look at like that... all eager to get some grub with him. Her question caught him a little off guard, though. "Share? Oh yeah, sure! Why not?" He laughed lightly, and cringed a little when his hand was accidentally squeezed. "Ow-- I'm okay." He quickly reassured her and pulled her up to her feet.

"Our beef bowl awaits!" He darted off downstairs with her, holding her hand tightly while trying to ignore the weird looks they got.

He can't recall when this constant mental game of tug of war started between the two. Overly competitive nature that always led into name calling & displays of overpowering the other. Such as now, Kieran was finding himself trying to distance from that familiar smug expression before his back met the wall. He was trapped & she knowingly took advantage of it. Oh how he shouldn't be surprised and truly he's not. A huff of mirth shook his frame for a moment as obsidian eyes looked down at her. It was almost instant... the flip in his demeanor.

❝ Are you done? Done being a little brat? ❞ As he asks her such there's a drop in timbre & he's quick to push himself off the wall. Hand grasping around her offending hand that boldly caged him in. With her hand in his, he began to move forward until she was forced to take steps back. ❝ Or is that something you're incapable of? Hm? ❞ There's a pull of lips into his own smug expression as he continues forward.

❝ Perhaps this little stunt might work on Luke, but... ❞ His smirk only widens when her back hits the wall now & he pins the hand he was grasping above her head, fingers interlacing with her own. Kieran leans down to get a real good look at Sunwoo's face. ❝ Not me, stormy. ❞

"Heeeeey, Ken-chin!"

Once he's finished calling out Draken's name in the most obnoxious manner possible, Mikey grins. It's the grin of someone who's all in all very pleased with themselves, or maybe someone who's looking to stir up trouble - either way, Mikey's sure that Draken can tell exactly what kind of mood he's in... but also that it's much too late for him to do anything about it.

"You know, I was lonely all on my own today. Now that everything's sorted, we should do something fun, don't you think?"

'Everything's sorted' is of course an overly simplistic perspective and a way of pushing the topic of their recent fight to the side, now that Mikey's decided that Draken was in the right after all. They won't do anything about Pah. It hurts more than anything to make that decision, but in the end... it's true that Pah himself wouldn't want them getting involved in his arrest. In the end, Draken's always right when it comes to these things...

But on a more selfish level, Mikey's just glad to be on friendly terms with Ken-chin again. He really did miss him, as much as he stubbornly told himself otherwise over the past few days.

"I'm feeling hungry... Aren't you, too? Come on!"

Cue the chime of a bell atop the door of a certain agent's favorite boba shop as he pushed open the door effortlessly. Taro bubble tea in hand & usual music choice could be heard blasting through his earbuds. A gloved hand to raise to pull out an ear bud while turning down the music, eyes easily finding his companion. 

❝ Thanks for waiting for me. I know you said you didn't want anything, but here... ❞ Gratitude expressed in his typical shy demeanor; a pull of lips to a smile & appreciation gleaming in his eyes. After shoving the other earbud back in its case he moved to shuffle around the items in the bag on his arm, feeling around for the surprise. A packet of shortbread cookies is pulled out of the bag & held out to Clove. ❝ A snack for the inconvenience. ❞

Surely the snacks, company, and conversation would elate this trip even more for the two had the sky decided not to rain on their parade. Although an expected outcome with how gloomy it was looking & luckily the duelist was prepared for this situation. With ease an umbrella is unclipped from the side of one of many pockets on his person, one flick of the wrist as the umbrella springs open to its full size. ❝ I told you this would be useful. ❞ Was that a flash of a smug expression as he chuckled softly? Perhaps. Recalling the other's typical teasing over how overly prepared he is for many possible situations. But could they argue that it doesn't pay off a lot of the time? His awareness has gotten the duo out of quite a few sticky situations actually.

Iso held the umbrella between the two of them as they walked, more priority of the umbrella's space covering Clove. His other hand found refuge in the warmth his jacket pocket provided. He didn't mind if he ended up getting a little soaked from the weather, but he would worry if Clove were to develop a cold later because he pulled them out of the safety of base for his own mandatory snack trip. ❝ If you're cold let me know, I don't mind letting you borrow my jacket. ❞ More worry in his tone than not, perhaps overly so.

"There will never be a moment I don't." She doesn't hesitate to reassure her, the words falling like the promise she meant it as, finger brushing along the other's cheek gently. Privacy, it isn't permanent but she'd take advantage of it while it last. Her wounds weren't anything significant, none that her lover couldn't heal anyway but she knows Ling worries. The scuffs and bruises are nothing compared to what may have happened had she not been there to bear it. She'd rather bear the pain of be struck than swallow the familiar pain of another fallen loved one. Another tragic story to add to her unlucky list of tragedies. Not another. "I will always protect you."

she looks towards the other with a gentle smile, content with the small reassurance and touch. it isn't much, but it's enough for her. it has to be enough for her, until they're safe enough to do more. beyond the privacy of these walls, till she can call her her girlfriend in public. perhaps even her wife, someday.

her hands move without a thought, it is never a waste to heal the other. no, it's the very reason she is here. she lets the energy move over hazal, hoping it is enough to soothe her.

"it's   nothing."   at   least   nothing   worth   mentioning.   he   tried   to   shield   sokka   and   got   himself   hurt   when   a   dagger   came   flying   unexpectedly.   luckily   it   only   grazed   his   arm,   but   that   was   nothing   zuko   wasn't   used   to.   he   had   gone   through   so   much   pain   in   his   life   that   a   scratch   like   this   could   hardly   be   compared   to   a   decade   of   turmoil   and   abandonment,   of   being   almost   burned   alive   by   your   father.   this   was   nothing,   especially   not   something   a   blind   girl   had   to   care   about.

"besides,   wouldn't   it   be   difficult   for   you   to   help   me   with   these   bandages?"   although   it   was   pretty   impossible   for   him   to   do   it   on   his   own   since   he   could   only   use   one   arm   to   take   care   of   the   other.   zuko   should   have   been   more   careful,   but...   protecting   his   friends   was   important.   he   liked   to   believe   that.
