Working with other demon slayers was always a gamble when it came to Kira, as much as she despised it. Kagaya must have known this and still paired her with others, even though she had the strength of two or more slayers... As tedious as that could be, she trusted her master’s judgement. If he wanted her to work with someone else for a mission, she would do it without verbal complaints. 

Night had securely fallen upon the town that Kira was supposed to meet her temporary partner in. There were rumors of a demon haunting the town at night, taking unsuspecting people who were out and about. Too weak to attack the entire village as it seemed, but still strong enough to still be alive. That won’t last. Kira was already trying to sense the presence of another demon and pinpoint the location...but she wasn’t alone, she quickly realized. Human with strong breath control, so must be a demon slayer. Her partner.

Kira turned around to face him, offering the man a close-lipped smile. “You must be my partner, then? It’s a pleasure to meet you. Let’s find this demon and eliminate them.” Even though she didn’t really need it, Kira found herself holding her breath for a moment--time to see if she will have to complete this mission alone or not. Some humans have heightened senses and can just tell that she’s a demon... She hoped he wouldn’t be the case.

Kira never wanted to be in a situation like this ever again. She vaguely remembered being drenched in blood all those years ago, sobbing as she desperately ate to try to fulfil her starvation but at the same time being eaten alive by her own guilt. Her teacher found her and showed her a different way. A better way. But Kira hasn’t been alive for centuries like Tamayo. She didn’t have her level of control. 

She stood there, eyes wide and fearful as the blade was pointed at her throat. She couldn’t form words... What was there to say.?? She shouldn’t have come back. She should have instead run all the way back to her teacher in the hopes that she could do something to fix this mess. Kira kept her bloodied hands close to her chest. Her fearful eyes watered. 

“I...I...” She swallowed. Her hands trembled. Slowly did she reach her hands up to cover her mouth as she tried to calm down, but she couldn’t. She was visibly shaking. Oh gods, what has she done..?? “There... There were bandits...and they killed an innocent traveler...a-and I was just trying to disarm them..!! I didn’t mean-...but they had stolen nichirin swords...a-and they tried to kill me, but my arms and legs grew back, and I...” Regaining her limbs took so much energy...too much energy. She was damn lucky there were no innocent civilians in the area, but she lost herself. She blacked out. All she knew when she came to was that she was bathed in blood...and their bodies were all partially devoured. 

Kira slowly stepped backwards. He smelled delicious too, but she won’t make that mistake again. She couldn’t afford to... She should have just stayed away and gone back to Tamayo, but now... “I... I’m so sorry...”

Kissing Prompts—No Longer Accepting

A giggle escaped ruby lips, the movement causing her lips to brush against his own with her closeness. Would that count as another kiss, another measure of him falling more in love? Kira wasn’t sure, but she certainly wasn’t counting at this moment. They already completed a match for the day and had the rest of the evening to themselves, which they were certainly enjoying. Here in each other’s arms, slow and loving kisses given over and over again. There was a comfort from any contact with the Seer, a feeling that Kira never wanted to let go of.

“I know what you mean,” Kira murmured against his lips before meeting them with another slow kiss once more. All this meant to the ‘Witch’ was to continue kissing him over and over again as they both fell deeper into love. Giggles against his lips, arms wrapped around his neck as she held herself close to him with such a deep kiss. She loved Eli with all of her heart, more than she thought it was even possible to love someone. The lover from the past wasn’t anywhere near as important to Eli to her… Eli was genuine, he really did love her. He admired every small detail about her…the universe must have destined for them to meet and fall in love.

“I love you…so much, Eli,” she whispered against his lips before nuzzling against the side of his face. No matter what darkness clouded her mind, she knew Eli could chase it away. He was her light, her sun… Her soulmate.

Ship Playlists!!—Still Accepting!!

|| HERE THEY BE!!!

“As Long As You’re Mine” - This song fits them the MOST in my opinion and that’s why their ship tag is from it~ It’s a duet, plus there are all of these references to magic, and I think it matches their level of deep devotion to each other~

“Hypnotic” - This is very much a Kira ship song XDD the vibe is totally her in a mood LOL

“Bright” - We can’t possibly have a playlist for them without a song about mystical things like stars and the universe!! Plus, it’s SUCH a sweet song~

“Like Morning Follows Night” - This song fits her hunter verse a bit more, but it fits survivor too!! Talking about how she’s always running away and keeps her distance from people, while the male voice assures her that he wants to be with her regardless. Very sweet~!! 

“Heavy” - This song is a duet, which I always love XDD Talks about how the world is really rough and hard to manage, but at least they have each other~

“HOLD ME” - Another Kira ship song, this one more about her insecurities that are a result of the things she’s endured.

“Je T’Aime” - This doesn’t OVERWHELMINGLY fit them, but it’s a sweet and soft song that I think would be cute for them~ (even tho kira at least doesn’t even know french LOL)

“Little Talks” - Another song talking about struggling with all of these inner demons but he’s still there for her even as she struggles. Also a duet~

“Redemption” - This is DEFINITELY more Hunter! Kira, but it also kinda fits survivor! Kira. Talking about how she’s been through some really rough shit and is beyond damaged at this point, but for some reason you still think will make things better for me”. Once again, more hunter/coa Kira XDD 

“Fall” - ANOTHER song that’s just registered as one of Kira’s ship songs in my mind XDD Very much like HOLD ME, with that whole “I’ve been tricked and lied to, so please be gentle with me” feel~

“Me and My Husband” - Yeah, I think this fits them XDD No matter what happens to them, they have each other, and that’s enough for Kira~ 

“Better Place” - THIS SONG IS SO SOFT and it’s SO Kira at Eli.... TT^TT She just loves him so much!! And it’s so soft!! Basically, he’s brightened her life and made everything better for her ever since they met~

“Devils Don’t Fly” - Yet another “I’m not a good person and I should isolate myself to protect myself and others, but I love you so much” song~ 

“Follow You” - This is just SUCH a good ship song~ Basically saying that no matter what, they will be at each others’ sides because of their love!!

“lovely” - Another duet that I think fits them, especially since they’re both trapped in the mansion~ (Sound familiar? I used to have some lyrics be part of my theme, and a few lyrics are still on my google doc!!)

“I Won’t Say (I’m In Love)” - kira has some trust issues XDD I CAN IMAGINE HER DOUBTING HERSELF AND HER LOVE AT FIRST BC OF THE SHIT SHE ENDURED IN THE PAST!!! This mostly fits her COA verse, but it works here too~

“Trade Mistakes” - A song about one person dying or being in danger and wanting to protect the other person~ I think it could fit their normal verse, plus Kira in the KNY one (once they warm up to each other LOL!!)

“Bleeding Out” - hahahahaha this song would hurt so MUCH but you know how often survivors die in the manor~~ XDD
