I'm experiencing Honyo thoughts in this Chili's tonight

2. when in canon does your self insert come in? do you have a scene in mind for your entrance?

She comes in right before the Alabasta arc. The straw hats stop on an island called Arcadia to snag a few supplies and also let their log pose reset. They also happened to arrive right as a gladiatorial style execution was taking place.

Three guesses for whose.

Zoro and Luffy crash the party, it gets wild as guards converge, Honyo runs off to kill a guy (and succeeds). She shows back up covered in blood, tries to do that sibling thing where when one is soaked they give their sib a "hug"— all in all a solid family reunion.

3. how do the other characters generally feel about your self insert?

The Straw hats love her, she's given them so much blackmail against Zoro and is just generally an agent of chaos.

To most other pirates and regular folks as a whole she's seen as a devil, further fueled by the WG labeling her as a threat due to her kill count. She doesn't fuck around when fighting so it's really no surprise.

5. does your self insert have any special powers or abilities?

She's got heightened Observational Haki, which is like a form of precognitive sensing. Coupled with her quick quick devil fruit powers then she can actually accelerate to the point of surpassing the speed of light and "jump" through time by a few critical seconds, creating a trail of lightning that can be described as wings. This is like a second phase of her fruit's abilities and it can destroy her body if she activates it before she can physically handle it. (After Marineford she was effectively blind for the following month while an ally worked to help her heal.)

General abilities of the quick quick fruit are that she's able to accelerate individual body parts at incredible speeds, and after enough practice she can sync all those individual parts together to be able to move as one so centrifugal force doesn't, you know, rip her apart every time she tries to move.

SDKLJFKSDFJSLJF all 14 at once is a little much because I WILL ramble lol, so I'll just stick with the first five, though you'll be happy to know I answered 8 9 and 12 in another ask

1 - what is your s/is most prominent personality trait?

Honyo actually has two really noticeable prominent traits: ANGRY and Loyal As Hell, and yes often times they will go hand in hand with one another. She loves her people fiercely and is so ride or die. Like, you mess with her people and she will be on your ass in an instant. These traits are half of the reason she gets the moniker "The Green Tempest", and in one special incident, the nickname Hollyheart from Ace.

2 - what does your s/i think of themselves? do they have low self esteem or high?

Linking this back to the first question, because both of those traits also play a massive role in how Honyo perceives herself.

As a kid she got into (and lost) fights quite a bit and as a result Zoro would have to step in and cover for her. It frustrated her because it made her feel weak and incapable of standing on equal ground with him, and she wanted to be as strong as him and as strong as her parents said she could be. But when she was frustrated she was nothing but a big crybaby, would get made fun of for it, would get into fights, would get Zoro to intervene yet again. She loved her brother, and knew he was doing it because he cared about her, but after a certain point it became too much and she ran away to be able to prove herself on her own.

She spent a long while building herself up and actually winning fights, managing to temper her anger to actually benefit the fight rather than be the downfall of one, and grew confident in herself enough to be somewhat cocky about it.

Then she makes it to the Grand Line and the place she lands is Arcadia. She meets Emiri and her family, grows undeniably close with them and cherishes them with her whole being. Then Emiri's put into a troublesome situation and she tries to get her out of it only to feel frustrated at how useless she is.

Then the Incident occurs and it. Shatters. Her. All that she had achieved for herself. All the strides she had made to meet her brother on equal footing. Everything her parents said she was capable of. Meant nothing in the end because she couldn't save what mattered to her.

These feelings of anger and loyalty make a determination to reach amazing heights, create positive pride in reaching goals, but when she fails and falls from "grace", it kills parts of her that make it difficult to recover from. And it's something she's going to have to overcome to keep herself from never being able to get up again the next time the cycle runs its course.

3 - do they have any close friends?

As a kid there was a boy in her village who gave her her first knife and let her run with his little gang. He was, at the time, her best friend.

When she was in Arcadia she was extremely close with Emiri and one of her sisters, Agapi.

And in future events, during the time skip, she gets pretty close with Robin and Sabo. I need to reread Ace's light novels, but I like to think she'll get along great with Ace's old crew as well.

4 - are they good at making friends? why or why not

On her part she feels really awkward and like she's not the best at it when it comes to making friends, gets a little tsun about it and all, yet funnily enough the people that make it a point to be her friend think that she's one of the easiest people to befriend lol

5 - what is their emotional weakness?

Her loyalty is as much her greatest strength as it is her weakness, as was covered in question 2. She will drive herself into the ground trying to avoid failing others.

🙄 and one piece?

Ooo okay for this one I'll go with Honyo since I have a couple different inserts for this series.

I definitely think there'd be a lot of things about her that would stir up drama, but probably the main drama surrounding her would be that she is actually incredibly emotional― and probably that one of her main responses to things can be some form of anger. We all know what fandom tends to think about angry powerful women. Either they're the most flawed character in the bunch for it/nothing but a bitch or else they're queen/girlboss/whatever.

Honyo's emotions can tend to pigeonhole her into a bit of a one-track minded sort of thinking, sometimes logical, sometimes not. But the fact that she, god forbid, actually feel things and feel them intensely would get a ton of criticism for "not being realistic" or something similar. While others would argue that her emotions show a clear but nuanced layer to the way she thinks, and that it belies the depth of things she values, such as loyalty and the lengths she will go just to prove it. And that at least in one case, for now, is also an excellent contrast to her brother's personality.

🙉 - what songs or sounds do you associate with your s/i? what sounds do they like? what sounds do they hate?

We’ll go with Honyo for this.

First that comes to mind is the ocarina, as it’s an instrument that she can play. It’s just her instrument, you know? A sound that she hates... Anything that’s even remotely similar to nails on a chalkboard. Excessively high pitched, grating, and almost textured. It’s the kind of sound that just goes from her ears right to her teeth and irritates her to no end and she just wants to bite something.

As for songs I’d have to go with Roundtable Rival, Chasing Twisters,  Run Like A Rebel, Ignite

🐣 - give a description of their childhood. do they have any good memories? what sticks out when they think of their younger years?

Childhood was following Zoro around and admiring his tenacity, picking fights with rude brats when they made her cry, spending mornings practicing katas with her ma and afternoons in the garden with poppop, running with the rowdiest gang of kids in town and getting a knife from her first crush, dreaming of the horizon and everything it had to offer...
